I wish there was a way to tell BTB which of my bras are most comfortable, regardless of what it thinks fits me best. Because right now I'm getting 100% recommendations that are in 30 band, F-FF cups. And that's usually tighter than I like, and definitely too small in the cups.
Also if keeps reccing me Fantasie, which is a ... total shape mismatch on me: too wide in the wires, too shallow, and the only bra I've ever owned where the wires poked me.
(Please if I'm doing something wrong... If there's a checkbox I've missed...!)

this bra would work for me? It stretches smaller than my ribcage physically is!
I have personally not had any useful recommendations. i have exactly one, for a bra I already own. I dont take them too seriously.

I added measurements for two bras yesterday, 65HH - Wellfitting » Cats Longline Demi and 30HH - Wellfitting » Liftsational Longline Demi . When I checked the measurements on the bra page, I noticed that altough my bras are the only ones in their sizes, the measurements differ very much from the ones I actually ... posted (and the ones I can still see in my bra chest). Examples:
I have put in 15 cm cup width - the bra page shows 15.5
Similarly, the band length I entered is 59, whilst Bratabase shows 57.5
How and why is it so?

Bratabase calculates interpolated measurements based on measurements entered for other sizes and sister styles of the bras you entered then averages the interpolated measurements with the measurements entered by users. If you go to the main page for each of those bras you'll see a sub header called measurements table. Click on it to bring up the table, then look at the size you entered. All the way over to the right in the # of bras column click on the number and it will show the measurements you took and the interpolated measurements.
Love that cats bra! Now I have to order one. Thanks for enabling.
I noticed that when I was looking at my M Opuncja. It's the only bra in that size, and they have the band as stretching to 28.5, when I put 26.
I'm assuming it's going based on what I added for the *actual* bra, and what's already in the system for 65DD M style bras. I'm guessing JJ has it set up like that so they can have measurements for bras that no one has, but if someone just looks at the main page for 65DD M Opuncja and sees 'stretches to 28.5' and decides to buy the same size they'll *probably* get a band that is to small, such as mine was.

Still! add the bra as if you had it and report its fit. Then you can mark it as not owned. Then you'll keep track of it and others will benefit from your review when looking for it.
Jj , I just added it. Thanks for reminding me! I'm still very new to this site, so I really appreciate the advice. :-)
I am trying to add this bra in a 40G UK sizing from one of Comexim's retailers and the system keeps saying invalid size even though I did note altered band. How do I get the bra entered? Thanks!

UK sizing wouldnt be 40, it would be 90
32 is 70
34 is 75
36 is 80
38 is 85
40 is 90
If you're entering it under Comexim you have to use Comexim's EU sizing. It woudn't be 40G, it would be 90HH. It won't take 40G because that's UK and Comexim doesn't use UK sizing even though their retailers do.
The reverse happened to me when I ordered an Anna Pardal directly from Comexim after AP closed. Even though the tag on my bra said Comexim and 60HH, I had to enter it as 28G because Anna Pardal used UK sizing.

Just a heads up. When someone asks you for your bra sold here, you aren't forced to serve that person first. You are free to use your own reasons to skip the first person and wait for another user.
This is so caring users can opt to give their bras to someone that they think will benefit the most, and possibly ... benefit the site (which will benefit others) the most. Specially for give aways or cheap sales.
Of course, I understand that many are in a rush to get rid of bras to get more bras to get rid of bras to get more bras. But if that's not the case, here's another thing to consider

In just a few months my boyfriend and I are making the move to New York! That means I REALLY need to get rid of all my listed bras (and perhaps some even not listed) super soon. If anything interests you that I have listed, please let me know- I will make deals!!! I just need a lot of my stuff gone, lol.

I've noticed 100% doesn't display until my photos have been approved...
This has bothered me for awhile! I just fixed an 80% one by setting fit again then clicking "Continue to Personal Assessnent" and hitting save there. I don't always do this bit. This made it go to 100%. Worth a try.
Edit: it worked on one 80% bra, but not another. Hmm

Hello all your bra wearers! I just found this site and joined and I basically have no clue on what I am doing. Therefore I am just trying everything out to see what works. Any suggestions? I am here to sell 15 sexy bras (well 3 are plain Jane) that are in perfectly great condition. ... I wish I didn't have to sell them. I kept them when I went up to a D because I said I have to loose the weight, however now that I am up to a DD I don't see that happening anytime soon and I have no more space for things. I've kept too many skinny clothes that I know I will never wear again, but my motto is Never say Never! I have never sold a thing online because I have always thought that it is too much work, so far it seems to be true. I had to go to various bra sites to get the type, style and now I have no idea how you figure out the numbers like 456-678. Anyhow I was able to get one bra listed, took pictures but can't seem to get my phone to download them to my computer. I am determined to list at least 5, but I haven't even finished one! If anyone has easy simple directions please reach out. When I saw the measurements page, ouch, I can't imagine how much time that is going to take to do for 15 bras. I just want to get rid of them and earn some extra cash. If anyone is interested please let me know. They are all 34C's in various colors. Thanks for now.

This is probably not a great place to offload 34Cs, for many reasons, but since it looks like you joined just to sell bras I won't bore you with the details ;-) Look at the sizes of the other listings if you don't believe me!
I would try ebay or a local sales app like OfferUp for example.
I second the eBay. You could also try Mercari (no fees) & poshmark (20% fee)

I was meaning to make a blog post about this, but the point is really simple.
Now that there's a bit of crowd online that uses measurements to check for bras, I see here and there people asking for measurements to others about bras (rightfully so), but then I see that the replies include measurements as the body of the ... comment instead of a link to a bra's measurements.
The main problem with measurements in a comment is that your effort measuring helps only the one person that made the question. Having the measurements in a bra entry allows to refer to it and then this measuring effort is helpful to thousands of people in the future.
When structured they are good for searches, averages, comparisons, recommendations, linking, exporting, etc. On comments, after they've been used by the person who asked, they get lost in time and pretty much unrecoverable.
Something that I think that is great about Bratabase is that is not a walled garden. The content here is Internet friendly, meaning that you can link a Bratabase page anywhere and they'll be able to see it (obviously as long as it is not private content) and our content is accessible not only by humans but also by robots (like Google , Twitter, Facebook, etc) which enhances its reach greatly. I always encourage link sharing across the Internet which is what makes the web tick, and this was built with that in mind.
TL;DR: When you see numbers in a comment to refer to a measurement, ask for a Bratabase link so the information is useful in the future.

I so appreciate this post! As a new user in a size range that doesn't have too many bras' measurements listed, it is so valuable to me to know whether to try to bra or not bother by viewing measurements! I try to add measurements to all the bras I try, even if I don't do a review or post pics, because each bra will fit each breast differently, but the numbers can be key for me to see if a bra is even worth my time and money to check out.
Also, reading the measurement instructions ( http://www.bratabase.com/help/measuringinstructions/ ) is intensely important. Incorrect measurements are almost worse than no measurements.

I'd like to add a bralette I have bought to Bratabase, but the sizing is by UK dress size, which is not valid on Bratabase. How can I enter the details for this bralette?
We do allow for dress sizes. Allowed sizes are configured per model to allow for correct validation.
If the model is not on the site, when you add the bra and add the model one of the screens will ask you for the type of sizing it uses, on this case "numbers" would be the right kind.
Thanks, Jj, I'll give that a try.
Please go check out my listings! Really want to get rid of these bras and swimsuits! Most are close to the 30H/30GG/32G/32GG sizes, but there are a couple of smaller cup sizes. Make offers, I'll combine shipping!

Has anyone else been getting asked for tons of bra measurement verifications lately? I got asked to verify the stretched band measurement for pretty much every bra I've put up in the past week, all because the stretched band measurement was "too small". One of them was a 34 band whose stretched band measured about 37 inches... I'm not sure if this is some weird site fluke or if I should actually go verify them all
