Is anyone else getting this also?
If someone comments on anything of mine or anything I've voted up/messages me, I get an email.
I also checked my inbox and spam and nothing from Bratabase is in either, and my email is written correct.
Should I just ignore it?

I've been thinking of trying some new (to me) brands, such as EM and Kris. What's the easiest way to figure out if a bra's straps are going to be too wide set when you don't have physical access to the bra? Should I use some formula such as
[3/4(cup width) x 2] + (cup separation) = approximate front ... strap separation
(Since most straps seem to be about a quarter of the cup distance from the outside wire)
I know I theoretically could check other users with a similar frame, but I haven't quite found my boob twin - honestly, I may have and then forgot. Like my pen that turned out to be in my hand last week.
Strap separation would be a nice optional measurement, or a measurement from the outside of the wire to the outside of the strap (which could get confusing, I know); otherwise, what do you recommend?

I try to use other bras I know as a frame of reference. So, if a reviewer or bra blogger in my size range can successfully wear most of Freya and Fantasie's range (when every single one of them are too wide-set for me) and then she tries EM and says "wow, these straps are really far apart, it's kind of an issue" then it's obvious the problem will be even worse on me and there's no point in my trying them.
Or if I see a fitting thread with the person's measurements, and she has a similar size to me and a similar frame width, and it's obvious from the photos that the straps are in her armpits, that tells me it's not going to work on me.
That's a good point; I've had a hard time finding bloggers in my size/shape, but didn't think about how the rest could be useful otherwise. Thank you for that
I'd like to #humblebrag a little - I'm making progress on my super late new year's resolution of adding back to bratabase!

2) I've updated my profile with all of my learned knowledge about my boobies. Exciting detail, it contains math! (thanks to ... MilkAndHoney ) Please feel free to let me know if something is confusing or missing, because I want to make it as detailed and accurate as possible!
3) All of my bras, owned and unowned, have been measured (exception: bras tried on in store that were never purchased)
4) All of my bras, owned and unowned, have at least one picture
5) All of my bras, owned and unowned, have at least one fit set
So I haven't met my goal yet, but I'm definitely making progress! Here's to keeping it going!

Good work!
Is anyone else having issues doing most things on bratabase from their iPhones? I have no issue when using my ipad. (Which I'm doing right now). But for some reason I can't click on anything. Earlier today I was trying to reply tia bra adventure, but I couldn't. When I click on any link (to see my messages, or notifications; view pictures;'reply to posts) it just goes to the top of the main page.

I have some similar issues when using my Fire Phone, but the Kindle works flawlessly with Bratabase.
Are you using the Safari browser or Chrome browser? I use the Chrome browser and have zero problems with that.

I've had several users contact me with the red flag "low reputation" as in 0. What should I be looking for? I've invoiced one, but gotten no response.

They're users that don't contribute to the site, socially or the database.
Usually it just means they're new to the site and don't have very much activity yet. It's also possible they might have just registered to buy a bra, or they might have less innocent intentions. I personally have dealt with low reputation members with no issues so far, but it's always good to be careful.

I have always paid the shipping fee to return something bought internationally. How is the seller to cover shipping in another country? They will not have access to providing postage to do so.
I live in South korea and paypal service here is advertising that they cover international shipping cost for exchanging or returning goods as long as I use paypal service. One of my friends has already got refund from them. However there are some condition to get refund of course.

Can someone explain to me how to correctly measure a stretched band? I mean, I know what it says in the measurement section, but something doesn't make sense.
There is this line: "Measure the the maximum length of the stretched band of your bra." But then it also says not to distort the wires. It is impossible to stretch the band ... to the MAXIMUM length without stretching the wires. I put down whatever measurement it is when I see the wires starting to stretch. But for some of my bras, I get emails saying I need to verify the measurements-- specifically the stretched measurement, it's always too short.
So what am I supposed to do? Stretch the band so that the wires distort, but it satisfies the system, or measure it until it starts to stretch ,and then get an email saying I need to verify? 😒
I actually prefer not to put in this measurement for this very reason, but I feel that putting it in can help people.

How do I Change where I entered that my breasts are full on bottom? It lists that whenever I post a fit check, but that's not correct. It's what I first thought when I started here. I can't find anywhere to change that though...please help

I changed mine by entering a new set of measurements.
Measurements cannot be changed after 2 weeks. That is because many people was reusing the same entry and making edits ruining their past information.
If you need to make that change I can open the option for you to make that correction.
What DressTheTwins suggests also works, but won't affect past entries.

Hello! I recently went to Nordstrom Rack to try out the sizing recommendations I received on here, and tried to take some photos to get feedback on fit.
My photos were awful! So...when you are by yourself, in a tiny dressing room with bad lighting, how can you best get helpful shots of, say, the band in the back or ... underarm area? The slight bit of gaping on the smaller breast, and the slight quadboob on the bigger, on the same bra? I was pressed for time, but didn't know if I should use the camera, reflected in the mirror, or the selfie camera, or twist myself into some sort of yoga pretzel or...?

Especially in a dressing room, this can be tricky and takes some trial and error.
I like to use the self-timer, with the camera in selfie mode. Then you can see what you're doing and have some freedom of movement.
This does ask for a shelf kind of thing to put your phone on.. Or perhaps a phone cover on a key cord, so you can hang it?
Also the selfie cam in many phones doesn't have a flash, so lighting may be problematic.
Mirror pics can definitely also work!
Details like slight gaping can be really hard to capture. I usually point at or hold the 'problem area' of bra (a cup wrinkle, stabby wire etc.) Good luck!

I've had to add the reference myself on a number of occasions. If you do a search with Juliette and get no relevant results it's not in there I presume.
When you add your bra, there is an option to add the model if it isn't available in the list.

sooo... I added a lot of brands and models of Polish bras, and I have a ginormous library of pics for them. Problem is I am tech-illiterate and can't figure out the system of adding stock pictures to Bratabase via Jj 's Excel file method. Is anyone so kind to add them to site? I think many Bratabasers would appreciate 200+ new pics

I enabled the option, you should see a link to edit pictures on the bottom of each model. Put your file on the "Stock photo" field and save. (You will need to log out and in again to see this enable)
The Excel file works when you put the URL of the image, you can just put the URL of it from the original website and will get downloaded.

Cup height measurements
What is our measurement methodology? For instance, are we measuring cup height from the wire center bottom to the top cup edge? Cup height at the strap? Do we measure by running a flexible tape along the inside of the cup or do we measure from wire to top cup edge without following the curve of the cup? Thanks for helping us identify our measurement method

This is what I also wondered, when everybody talked about cup height, were they all imagining the same thing?
When I tried to measure cup height for a few bras it was definitely not an easy measurement and it was very hard to determine on taller cups and bigger cup sizes. Specially since the center of the cup is very closely aligned with the strap attachment which causes a greater measurement than expected.

1) I really like the guide on how to measure the cup height.
2) Personally, I would sort of scoot the measuring tape across the cup to find the tallest point, and use that as my measurement. Stuff like Comexim or the Freya Deco would have radically different cup heights depending on *where* you measure.
3) For those who really dig measuring, they could measure the tallest and shortest points of the cup, but that adds a lot of work for people who don't like to measure.

This is something I set manually to certain users because the site's emails are bouncing back from your email server. It may be for many reasons but there's a lot of email from last few days that's been rejected by your email provider. You need to provide another email that can accept them.
