Top is very stretchy fabric and elastic band, so I got quad boob effect. If you find narrow bra in this range, this is not your option. This model and maybe sister models are run wide.
My shape: FOB, projected, narrow roots and shoulders, soft tissue Appearance: Elegant semi-padded black bra, with little teardrop crystal at the gore. Top part is a non-stretch black lace with a thin elastic along the top. Fit: I ordered this bra, and two others, for my first order from magdalenahukalowicz at bras4you.com. She was super wonderful to work with, and very communicative. I chose this Ava bra for two reason: I don't actually have a black bra, and I wanted to try this Polish brand. I'm glad I ordered the 70 band! This sucker is TIGHT. I know that's a common thread with black bras, ...but I can't even stretch this to 32 inches. Luckily, I like my bras tighter, so it's not a problem for me personally. The cups are nice and deep, but the top lace part gapes on me. I haven't tried it on with clothes to see if it shows; I'm honestly not sure if I'm going to keep this bra. The bottom of the cups fit well, the straps aren't a problem, but the gore sort of digs into my sternum. This bra might fit better for someone with more even fullness, or even someone FOT. My shape: FOB, projected, soft tissue, narrow roots and shoulders Appearance: Of the three bikinis I ordered, this one is my favorite design. It's a really pretty, brightly colored floral design with a navy blue behind lighter blue, pink, and orange flowers. The tops of the cups and the straps are a super bright orange, as well as the bow at the gore. The top edge of the cups has a piece of elastic sewn across, so that could be a problem for FOT breasts. It cut into my tissue, which isn't usually a problem, but that's most likely because the cup was too small for me to begin ...with. The cups only have one seam along the horizontal edge of the cups, sort of going diagonally. This is not padded, but the inside of the cups has a stiff white material on the tops, and a soft white mesh on the bottoms. Fit: Not enough depth, which I had a feeling would be the case; it's a band and a cup size smaller than I usually wear. But I am intrigued by the idea of non-padded bikinis; I didn't think there was such a thing! I'd like to try a couple more like this, though the lack of vertical seams on the cups makes me think it won't give me as great of a shape. I'll be returning this bikini, as well. My shape: FOB, projected, soft tissue, narrow shoulders and roots Appearance: This is a really BRIGHTLY colored neon swimsuit in a sporty, colorblock style design. It's mostly blue (sort of in between royal blue and cobalt blue) with neon orange strip on the top of the cups, and a super neon green piping an top of that. The straps are the same neon green color. This seriously could glow in the dark, it's so bright, but I really like that in a swimsuit. The cups are padded, 3 part construction. The wires are narrow, typical of Polish designs. Fit: These cups were just too big for me. I had a ...lot of gaping at the top, and the straps were too wide for me. The seams are placed differently on this style than the Paisley I reviewed earlier, which leads me to believe it's a different cut. I'm not as familiar with Ava, so when I ordered a few different bikinis from Amazon to try out, I just chose from the ones that had my sizes available. I wish I knew more about the cuts so I could make a better, more informed decision. I'll be returning this. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Read more 94 more words
Overall, very comfortable. It fits quite well, giving a nice round shape. The cups and lace are soft and lace and straps are somewhat stretchy. Band is also comfortable, with the gore and wings at a nice height.
The wires seem a bit too wide for my frame, but the cups are filled well. There is a tiny gap on one cup at the center front that does not show under clothing. My guess it will disappear during certain times of the month.
This is a used bra from another user here on bratabase. Condition is what you would expect. It appears in good shape, though does have signs of wear.
Overall, a good fit, and I'm happy with the outcome of this.
I was very surprised to get a nice bra for quite a low price. I like the color of the bra: it's a very good nude for quite pale skin. Lower part of the bra has some ornament ( it's in slightly darker nude), upper part is made of delicate lace. The constructon of the bra is very simmilar to Jasmine (Panache): four parts cup with side pannel. The only difference is that Manche's upper part is made of 2 layers and has elastic along the edge, and the inner layer is not stretchy. The cups give very round shape. Unfortunately this thin elastic slightly cuts into my tissue(I'm even to FOT). The gore is on the wider side, but not uncomfortably wide. The wires are quite narrow. The bra is not true to size. The band us quite stretchy. The cups are very large. It fits more like 32E/F, or loose 30F/FF.
This bra runs quite large in the cups, so you might need to size a cupsize down (like I did). The shape I get with this one is a little pointy, and the cup is not deep enough for me at the bottom, so it's far from a perfect fit, but I still kept it as homewear bra due to it being quite comfy.
Overall, it looks nice, the quality is ok, it is quite cheap, and can be purchased through Amazon (EU at least!) - so if you're looking for a nice everyday bra, this one might be for you!
I like Ava's styles a LOT, but after trying this and an unlined style I am unimpressed with their quality.
Rose is a half-padded style with a non-stretchy lace top. The color is a really beautiful dusty rose with charcoal grey accents including a grey pearl charm at the gore. And I'm being really picky, but I hate the generic silver colored hardware on the backs of the straps. It just looks cheap! Gunmetal would have been awesome, but even enameled grey would have been better.
The foam of the lower cups feel stiffer than the Vivisence Sophie I just received, stiffer than my Impimi Adell ...too. The back is power mesh that's a little scratchy. Of course, so is my Panache Jasmine that cost 3 times as much, soooo...how about no more power mesh against our skin, huh?
The 80 band is quite firm on my 33.5" underbust. The cups are really tall. Yet another Polish brand that sizes up in the vertical direction it would seem. I usually wear UK 34G/36FF; obviously I need to size the cups down in this brand. The sides are tall too, and with boning to boot.. I seldom experience armpit poking to a degree that bothers me, but this one hurts.
I won't be reordering this in a smaller cup so I won't be able to tell you what this feels like when it fits. I'll be ignoring Ava until I hear some good thing about them. Read more 141 more words
I'm on a quest for a semi-padded neutral invisible inexpensive balcony bra. Impimi's Adell is close but does not have enough immediate projection for me. Polish overall works for me (narrow, close-set, even but pendulous so functionally FOB, crazy immediate projection), so I am trying different brands. Technically this one fits (barring a little emptiness in the top lace panel which is only visible looking down and doesn't show under clothes), and it is good to know my Ava size. But the wings are very high and rub, plus the upper side of the cup cuts into my armpits and chafes; the cups are quite tall. This makes ...it unwearable, otherwise it is comfortable, supportive and a good fit. I think this is a full-coverage bra that would be better for FOT, splayed or average width. There is stiff boning in the band under the arms to control armpit flab. The wires and gore are narrow. The gore is tall and separates the breasts well, except on my close set rack the gore sits on breast tissue and wold be painful over time. There is enough immediate projection (yay!) and good apex projection, also room toward the gore; the cup is deep and the ratio of 14cm to 25 cm is perfect. The top lace panel is not stretchy, but it is not super firm either. There is elastic sewn in along the top edge. The lace extends through the gore and to the beginning of the band, where it is replaced by strong mesh. The band is firm and does not seem like it would stretch out easily. The straps are quilted and medium stretchy, they are plenty long. The lower padded portion is 2 in parts, with the seam toward the center not the middle. The padding is lightweight and flexible, lined with cotton. The padded part comes well past my nipples, although there seems to be a lot if lace on top too. It's a lot of bra and I am just not used to a full coverage I think! The shape I get is lifted, separated, and rounded at the base with a flattened top since I can't quite fill it out. Its actually a great shape under clothes, looks like Breasts Here. Overall a good quality, attractive daily wear bra. Which I have to return because the dang tall wings and gore. But I like Ava now! The paper tag adds 32FF UK and 85FR, the sewn in label just has 70H. Purchased from Other Eden. Overall excellent construction, good materials, good aesthetics. I am impressed for the price! It is a pale, pale apricot, not beige. The lace on the top panel is not stretchy but there is a sewn-in elastic along the top. Same lace in band below cups and extends to the wings; it is orange-highlighted floral. So the overall look is orange-ish. There is 10 cm side boning. Band is power mesh past the lace part, and is fairly stretchy. 4 part cups with a significant portion being on the outer ...side, to which the strap is attached. There is no sling in this outer part so its not the same as 'side support' found in a Fantasie bra. But it does hold outer fullness in. Cup material smooth & semi-glossy, firm with a little give; my breast feel well supported and enclosed. Fabric and band are comfortable, not at all scratchy or rough. Seams are not visible under knit shirt. Wires are not wide, I'd call them average to narrow. But they do come up dang high on the sides! Plenty of immediate projection at the wire and projection at the apex! A little too much room up top for me, the top panel wrinkles a little and there is strap gap. Probably better for someone with more inner fullness or upper fullness. Shape is centered, rounded, lifted - reminiscent of a Cleo shape. The gore is quite tall as are the side wires and wings. On me they both poke/scratch painfully so I will be returning. I think if there was not this issue, this would be a solid favorite for a lightweight, neutral summer bra. Read more 187 more words
Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, slightly FoB, slightly centre full, splayed, never met a gore I didn't like, left-heavey by more than a cup size, 31" underbust, but prefer tight band with extender. Panache, Freya size 30GG
Almost perfect!
Great shape, effective stretch lace cups, needs the extender, but pretty true to size. Beautiful blue colour! This is the colour I wish the Cleo Marcie Bluebell came in. This is not quite as polished and has virtually no accents, but it also had no neon orange either!
Good side boning, only two hooks, fairly closed on top, but ...does not cut even on my super soft tissue. Cups made of no stretch lace, lined on the bottom cup by very soft, very thin, synthetic knit.
Top part of centre gore does angle inward a touch - doesn't bother me, but the wires might dig on people with that issue both at centre and underarm. Very firm wires
The cups are slightly too wide, but no where near as wide as the Avas with Side Support. I think they intentionally make the side support models shallower and wider. Straps a touch wide also, but narrower than Gorsenia, Nessa, and my Gaia Maggie.
Staps are good - ribbed not scalloped, but thick and no slip. Read more 120 more words
Me: evenly round, slightly FoB, Very soft tissue, narrow root, narrow shoulders, prefer a tight band, splayed.
Bought on Other Eden, looks identical to Ava 1428 but in nude, not peach.
Sizing
Cups way too big! maybe FoT girls will fill it, but super wide cups and a full size too big for my normally 30GG (Panache, Freya, etc). Band is about right, though. I like mine tight to keep it from sinking down to my waist and usually need an extender for the first couple months.
Appearance
I was so excited when it came out of the box because itis a perfect nude tone for me and ...has subtle orangy shades in the lace. Very cute gore embelishment, looks good off and on for such a full cup bra.
Materials
vitually no stretch in bottom cup fabric and very stretchy lace lined by no stretch, not-itchy, tulle. Superb quality, I wish it fit.
Construction
In the cups, the side support pannel is virtually an extention of the outer vertical seem in a two vertical seam/three part cup bottom. It gives great rounded shape and good inward support. It is more round than my EMs. The two seams are 1.25" appart at the base of the cup (left side of seam a to left side of seam b), and 3.125" appart at the diagonal seam which is six inches up from the underwire.
Comfortable and stable boning on side panel - I don't need it because the cups are so wide, but maybe in bigger bands?
Only two hooks but straps and band really sturdy, so it doesn't feel like it needs more. Marvelously long ribbed straps fully adjustable -end to end. Leotard back.
My problem:
My first Ava, and like EM, the wideset straps dig in the front of my armpits, and would even in the size down. The massive (for me) wire width means that the cups take up 13.5" of the 24" band. No wonder it felt like the cups encirceld three quartters of my body. The wires are nicely shaped, though, no weird angling anything. Read more 250 more words
WOW, I am so impressed with this bikini top! first of all it lookes nice! I got two bras in 65E and 65F and they both fit me but with some minor differences. The band is good, little bit looser than 65E. Feels tight for first few sec and then it feels really good. The cups fits me perfectly! theyre more like full cup-plunge - something in claudette style a little. the 65E are little bit lower than 65F and I prefer the 65E look. Theres no wrinkling on smaller side in both sizes! They adjust beautifully to the shape Wires are bit too wide, and I have some empty space between wires and boobs. Also the wings feels higher and goes a little too high Overall the top is very comfortable and looks gorgeous, but I will keep 65E *_*
Sturdy-feeling bra, with unusual 4-parts cup construction. All these seams make it visible under light clothes. The straps also have an edging that might make them obvious. This is the correct size for me, but the wires come up a little too high into my armpit fat. It is also sort of "heavy"... not a bra you can forget about wearing. So, not for me as I tend to feel constricted a lot. A pity, because I really like the shape and it is very flattering on me (front-and-center but not too high up, slightly rounded but natural).
I still cannot believe what I have in front of my eyes! 2x2 hooks and eyes!! I dont think that I have ever seen bra with only 2x2... However, finally I have Ava that fits! Theres small empty space on the smaller size but not that noticeable. Bra is semi soft with stiff lace on top, its like brown-grey with dusty pink on top and looks lovely and quite sexy. Also, very popular keyhole between cups. I really like how the bra fits in the cups and band but I dont like straps that much - they could have softer material. Obviously band is made only from single mesh material - that probably will strtetch quickly - but as for the price is still worth it!
That IS strange!! :P Is there space for adding an additional row or two of loops?
Wanabee ive added pic, so have a look how it looks like :D
Yes martka00 You should be able to add a row of hooks at the seam connecting the hooks to the rest of the strap. They sell packets of individual hooks at stores like Walmart. You just sew them on with a needle and thread.
oh yes, I know, but i dont need them :D the band is long enough to fit me comfortably
Fits the same as 70E - Ava » 1331 Semi Soft (BH-1331) It's very nice, soft and looks well when on. The upper lace doesn't stretch. Unfortunately the band is really big like in 75 and is made from only one layer of mesh. Straps are fully adjustable.
Because I really love the look of 70E - Ava » 1331 Semi Soft (BH-1331) , I took this one as well. I decided to go for my sister size, which is 65F (30E UK). The bra is halcup style. The band is good, although again is made of only one layer of lace-mesh. Actually, the bra fits okay, but I think i should go down one size in cups to get more cleavage. Bra is padded but with nice and thin padding plus has extra pads that doesnt make bra thick when they are inside the pockets.
I've been waiting for it couple of days as it was coming from Germany. I was recommended to try 70F size but actually 70E is too big on me. It's such a shame as I really love the colours of the bra - combination of beautiful aquamarine with soft pink details. It's very nice, soft and looks well when on. The upper lace doesn't stretch. Unfortunately the band is really big like in 75 and is made from only one layer of mesh. Straps are fully adjustable. Definitely I'm going to get in smaller size!
I have a few Avas, my favourites are their soft and semi-soft styles. The ones you bought are really beautiful, must be from a new collection - I haven't seen them around.
Ive never tried them before, and yes theyre one of the newest and I like both semi soft and halfcup in this print. But also, ive seen similary looking to EM Cyklamen but in grey colour padded one.. I think that I'll go for it as well :D
This is from my shopping trip to Poland! Feel free to send me a message if you want any more info on that. For reference, I believe that I had short, narrow roots with a very projected, omega shape. My best Cleo fit is the Meg then Marcie/Melissa.
As with the other Ava bra, this one shows it's low price. The semi-soft padding feels cheap and wrinkles started showing underneath where it collapsed after just a day of wearing. However, I'm ok with the quality considering the price- think I paid $18USD for this, full price.
Fairly low gore and wings, thankfully. A good tack, but would cut in if it were any higher. The straps are very stretchy, so I had to adjust them shorter than I normally do. 2 hooks. Despite the lack of projection, I find this pretty comfortable with a nice, decently centered shape and I can see myself wearing this often.
artsgal596 Technically no. According to the size charts on Ava's website this is equivalent to a UK 32FF, when I normally wear a UK 32GG (which they would call a 70J, but I think that would be much too big). Hope this helped!
Bummer they didn't work out. :-(
