Oh man, this bra just does not fit me. I needed a strapless bra for a dress for a night out, and the price was right -- it was 100% worth the effort. It does that flattening thing that I'm told by female friends is normal, but it's not my favorite look. I also just end up feeling like my breasts are a bit low and noticeably sports a quadboob.
It worked for the dress I needed it for (the quadboob was masked by the thickness of the dress) but overall, it's something I only bust out when absolutely necessary.
Soft foam cups, one diagonal seam - plunge balcony style. Fits like a small 30DD UK. Straps detachable, avg width for its size. The cups remind me of Comexim plunges, the fit also - cotton lining and pockets for cookies. Band and outer cup layer are the same material - band soft and stretchy. Ava is not very consistent in sizing - this one runs smaller in cups than some other 65Es I own from the same brand. This was marketed under the name "Zelda", but now I see that Bratabase puts it under "Felice". beige colourway
Pretty brown-pink / latte colored bra, very thin light foam cups. Subtle diamond pattern with a nice swirly pattern overlay. Borders are decorated with pink rose lace and there's a tiny rose on the gore.
65J according to price tag, sold via Brastop as a size 30GG. Cups are kind of deep but too closed on top for me. For someone with less upper fullness, it does seem true to the UK size. Band is pretty stretchy, would have preferred 3 hooks. Straps are fully adjustable and the gore is a nice medium height.
Somehow, despite the fact that my breasts have almost no upper fullness when I'm standing, this bra cuts into that area. It gives me a very pointy profile from the side that clothing does little to nothing to suppress. The underwires are much wider and the cups almost an inch deeper than the 75G - Ava ยป Liatris Semi-soft (AV-1248) despite being sister sizes.
I haven't worn this bra enough to know how it'll stretch with wear-- after I've had it for more than a night I'll probably update this review!
Right now the band is on the comfortable side of tight (I would not necessarily want to wear this bra if I was going to be active enough to use my full lung capacity) and the underwires, for the first time in my life, end almost right next to the end of my breast root.
I could do with the gore being a little lower, as it digs into the squish on my sternum just a little. This is a problem I have in almost every bra. In the Cleo Sadie this is extremely uncomfortable after a couple of hours of wear, in the Liatris I don't notice it.
Beautiful Ava half cup bra with interesting cut out detail in the center gore. The band fits nicely. Started out on the first hook. After some wear, it now fits on the middle hook. The cups still are cut a bit too high for my liking (they come up high under my arms which irritates me) but not as bad as some other bras. This is my second Ava.
