It's beautiful and well-made. Surprisingly supportive for how sheer it is. Band feels true to size and not stretchy. Cups run a little large, but I understand that Avocado's sizing is a law unto itself. I find the embroidery to be a little itchy after a long day, but it's beautiful and otherwise very comfortable.
I received it through the bra swap site and oh how I wish it fit. Based on reviews and their calculator, I should be a 75H in Avocado bras. My best fit yet is a 32G Panache Jasmine for reference, though the wires are too wide for me. Unfortunately, I'm at the beginning of my quest for ABTF, so I don't have much else to provide by way of comparison.
Avocado Mirabelle in 75H fits comfortably around my frame, so that was bang on. Unfortuately, there is a lot of wrinkling at the top of the cups near the strap which leads me to believe that I ...have shorter roots than previously thought. I am only 5' 0" tall and short waisted, so though my breast tissue seems to go up toward my collarbone I'm not truly tall rooted. I am, however, quite projected with even fullness. I can fit a finger in the gap that is created above the underwire in my IMF (this is the case w/panache Jasmine too), which I believe means that I need a bra with more immediate projection. Alas, the search continues.
I should note that I thought I read somewhere (after I bought this bra) that Mirabelle ran a bit large in the cups. I will definitely try this style (is think it's the A style) again, as I like a more full coverage bra sometimes. Furthermore, it does seem as though it gives a nice rounded, though natural, shape. It's quite pretty, as well. Read more 145 more words
Another beautiful bra. The band is snug but comfortable. The cups are relatively comfortable. The gore comes up higher than what I would typically prefer. It pokes me a bit. And the cups are slightly wide under the armpits on me. I haven't worn the bra enough hours though to decide if it will be a real problem. The cups create a rounded, natural shape and have decent lift.
The detail on this is so lovely. The materials and construction are top notch, too. Unfortunately for me, the cups don't have the immediate projection at the bottom or at the gore that my rounded boobs require. If the gore tacked, I would have quadraboob. If I wore it, the base would be pushed down my torso and I would have quadraboob. Even if it fit, it would be more full coverage on my short torso than I prefer. The wires aren't Panache wide, but they also aren't as narrow as I've come to expect from Ewa Michalak and Comexim. 3 hooks & partially adjustable straps.
This bra is SOOOOOOO pretty! Unfortunately for me, it cuts into the top of my upper fullnesshttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Sizing up wouldn't work because the cups are already very tall for my short frame. If I had the same boobs, but was a couple inches taller, I think it would be okay. Alas. It is beautifully constructed and the materials seem very high quality. The straps are fully adjustable and there are 3 rows of 3 hooks. The fit seems relatively true to size in that the band is on par with a UK 34.
This is a pretty bra well constructed of quality materials. Unfortunately, the top line of the cup is incompatible with my upper fullness. Sizing up in the cup wouldn't help because the wires are already on the verge of too wide and the overall cup height is very tall for my short frame. The band is very stretchy as well as running a bit large - on par with a UK 34. The gore seems higher than the picture would indicate, so I am guessing that the pattern changes for larger cup sizes.
This is such a gorgeous bra. And the perfect nude for me! I can get away fine with other "nude" bras, but this is just perfect. I love the detailing also.
I'm not keeping this because for me, the band felt uncomfortable and (what settles my decision) the cups are surprisingly too wide. Like I could see the sides of my boobs about an inch from the wires and it looked silly. It's difficult to see in the photos. I would like to try this in like a 70D and see if it'd work at all. I found the band to be about 28.5-29". Cup depth was good, but as usual, wires are ...too wide for me. This has been causing me pain in my bras where this occurs..which is..most of them.
Fabric is like a smooth mesh everywhere, with embroidery in the centers. Gave me a bit of a funny shape. Almost downward 7, but nothing like my Gossard Phoebe. It was more of a rounded downward 7. Didn't care for it. Straps are fully adjustable.
Anyway. I'd recommend this to someone who does need narrower wires, to slightly average, a bit of projection, short (lengthwise)gore (this is one of the closest I have), and either likes a tight band and can wear a 29" with the wires slightly widening, or someone with a 28" ribcage.
For now I will have to let this one go. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
I'm confused, the wires are too wide but you recommend it for someone who needs narrow wires, even tho you are not keeping it because of wide wires?
Well, she shows the wires measuring 5.1." That's narrow, even if it is too wide for her.
dbmamaz Yes. I need wayyyy narrower wires than the average person who needs narrow. I basically need impossibly narrow wires for the depth I need. :/
lcl0706 Yep! Haha I guess I should have clarified that in my review. The wires on my 32D bras are almost right, but even they're a little too wide. That's why I thought maybe I could try a 70D, but then idk about depth.
I've actually heard wires could be an issue for tuberous boobs, but I'm only slightly, and hadn't ever had an issue with them before recently.
I LOVE this bra. I just wish it didn't come up so high on the armpit. That can make it uncomfortable. The cups are a non-stretch mesh, so they support very well. Gives a great shape.
This is a really pretty bra. If you read that on my reviews a lot, its because I am a sucker for pretty bras. The embroidery and seaming laid flat underneath my tee shirt. Win! And didn't show under my white button-up. Double win! Unfortunately I get a sad shape on my larger size and a tiny bit of quadding along the top edge and I think the cup might be too shallow at the wires for me looking at the picture. Since I get a nice shape on my smaller size I think the cup is just a bit too small. From the whole two Avocado bras I have now tried, I say the cups run one size small or at least a half size too small. I feel I am relatively even or fob and wouldn't recommend this to someone fot. The top isn't stretchy. Its nice though for someone like me because it doesn't gap.
This is a gorgeous bra, and quite different from most bras on the market in this size range. I am so sad that it is too small in the cups for me, and hung on to it for a while hoping that it would fit if I lost weight.
This is a really beautiful, well-made bra that unfortunately was too small in the cups for me as soon as I bought it. I hung on to it for a while hoping that it might fit after I lost weight, but that hasn't worked out.
:'( I feel your pain. I have a 65F that I THOUGHT fit me, but my girls are now too full. The Kyoto has such an awesome aesthetic and design and it's a sad piece to part with!
This is an extremely pretty bra (black with green ribbon trim). I want to love it, but I don't. I do, however, very much like it (enough to keep it).
The good: narrow wires, high quality construction, lovely details
The not so good; very slight torpedo boob shape; I prefer a bit more rounded, very slight digging in at gore
Overall it is good. It is my first bra with narrow wires and I can see that this is something I may want to pay more attention to. The cups are a teensy deep for me, but I don't think I could size down. Pretty true 30E.
I definitely would try more Avocado after trying this one.
This is my first order with Avocado and I have to say that I'm very pleased with the fit of this brand on me. It really is designed for narrow (but not too narrow) breasts that are very projected, especially from the centre gore. The straps aren't too thick - the band is supportive and comfortable with 3 hooks and eyes. The wires aren't outrageously strong, truth be told. While construction is good, the soft wires really undermine the support. If your breasts are heavy, it might not be the best for you. About the Essentia specifically - the band is a bit loose, IMO, for size. Mind you, I did size up in the band because I'd heard it runs tight. I'd go down to a 70 next time (and up a cup size). The depth of this is perfect. Very deep especially at the centre gore. The fabric is lovely and soft. The colour is a deep caramel shade. Would be attractive on many skin colours. Great neutral bra that isn't boring and the shape is great.
This is a silky soft sexy bra that doesn't work with my tall root even shape. Some one with short roots and FoB would love this bra! Plus it's very tight, more like a 26:7 so it would be even better for someone who needs a 26 band size!
Just not compatible with my shape at all. The wires sit below where my breast tissue sits, regardless of what I do with the straps. There is a HUGE empty space at the top, too. This may work better for more projected girls, but I honestly have no idea. Shame, because it's a beautiful bra.
I can see why this is called a luxury brand, what gorgeous fabric! Sizing seems pretty true for a Polish bra,the band was a little snug for me,so perhaps using an extender, but only one hook would have been best as I think I need a band around 38.5-39 inches depending on the day.Band was nice and firm,I love whatever fabric they used for it.Cups seemed similar size to an Ewa Michalak CHP 38GG or PL 38H. The wires were a wee bit wider than perhaps what I needed, but only by a tiny bit, they were still narrow and I don't have discomfort from wider wires.Other reviews of the H shape have ...said that the wires were a little wider than the others and I can confirm that. They were a little higher, too, making it great for side fluff.
With all of those good things, this bra doesn't seem to be working, and I think it's due to the cut, making it the wrong shape for me.Could also be partly cause of being 3/4 padded and 1/4 not,I thought this would help it fit better, but I think with my short boobs,my apex and the apex of this bra is not matching up.I think it would be better for someone with an differently placed apex,or someone who is fuller on bottom. While I'm somewhat full on bottom boob wise,I do have some tissue higher up which I need enough space for, especially depending on where seams or edge of cup hits at.The ribbon at the top does cause an issue with that. The straps are a little wide set for me,but I struggle with that in almost all bras.I am wondering if the straps were more where I would like them to be if that would help a bit.I am going to try it on again and see if there's any way to alter it,but I would rather not take scissors to such a nice bra unless I really know what I'm doing. So I am likely to sell it.
Despite it not working out,I'm very glad to have gotten to try an Avocado bra,and am thinking one in a K or A cut could work for me,can't wait to try one of those (boo long shipping times).I may even retry an H cut later on,but in a full unlined style. Read more 267 more words
Oh how I wish it would have fit. And it would have, if it weren't for that stupid ribbon detail on the top. The bra is perfect in every other respect but it is too closed on top for me. The next size up would be way too projected.
Wonderfully roomy at the center gore and bottom of cup. Great uplift.
Fabric choices and craftmanship are amazing. It really is a quality product.
I absolutely love everything about this bra. It is a perfect fit for even/FOT, narrow-set, and projected breasts. It gives a very beautiful, natural shape. I actually gaped when I tried it on and saw it on myself, which just doesn't happen normally. Can't recommend this enough to girls with a similar shape.
I'm confused, the wires are too wide but you recommend it for someone who needs narrow wires, even tho you are not keeping it because of wide wires?
