Man it's so hard to find bras with cute, lacy designs that fit me! This one looks lovely and seems to fit well in cup width as well as depth, as I don't have gaps at the top, and the wire doesn't cut too narrow into the boob (both my two most common problems with other bras: gaping is all too common, and when sizing down, the cups are always too narrow!). The band might not fit me perfectly on the first hook, but at it's narrowest it feels like a good fit. I will need to wear in more to determine how happy I am with the comfort but so far I'm excited about having something cute like this!

I would prefer to have a tighter band (I think I am closer to a 28C perhaps) but band length is ok for me. Just so excited to find a bra that doesn't leave a gap at the top!
Vavoom! Definitely lots of padding with this bra. I will be choosy about when I where it. Given that I do not currently have such a bust enhancing bra it should be a nice addition. I did wear it for a couple of days so comfort was fine. While I marked that it did not fit, I will temporarily shorten the band and see it that provides a better fit for the cups, then on to the strap placement if necessary. Thanks for the transfer!
As usual, super pretty fabric, but not perfect fit. Straps too wide, cup edge wants to curl back and stick out making the cups too open (what is with their manufacturing process?! It seems like they stretch the upper edge while sewing the lace to the foam!!), wires too wide, bottom edge of cup a bit too shallow... BUT I WANT IT TO WORK!!! SO PRETTY!!! And SO expensive to return!! ($65 to return in original packaging?! Waaaaht?!) I noticed something very strange, and it's quite apparent in the pictures... the right cup upper edge is even MORE stretched open than the left. So annoying to deal with. ...Again, inner cup fabric is itchy, but exterior fabrics are beautiful. My phone cannot capture the beauty. Could potentially fix by moving straps in. Seems the too-wide straps of the balconettes contribute partially to the cup gapping on top, but they are very clearly stretched out probably while sewing. In summary, to fit into Boux Avenue's regular bras, you need to have very shallow, slightly wide, and tall/FOT breasts. I am very FOT and have quite tall roots, but this STILL is too open. What??? THIS IS SO PRETTY. WHY DON'T YOU FIT?!?! The Beautiful by Boux is a line made specifically for DD+ cup sizes. Oddly enough, it is slightly narrow and a lot more projected than their regular line of bras. Being a quarter of an inch narrower in wire than their popular Chloe balconette, and an entire three-quarters of an inch deeper, and an overall more rounded shape (their popular blaconette is flat and shallow overall), it definitely fits 1-2 cup sizes larger than the other 30E bras. Like the others, fits like a 28 or tight 30 (max stretch of 30 is pushing it comfort-wise). It has a gothic arch ...in the middle, but the wires come up so high and for some reason are even more firm (feels like punched steel wires), so the gore is SUPER painful. I added a picture to show how much they were pressing into my sternum. Straps are too wide, and inner cup fabric is itchy, but exterior fabrics and findings are soooo pretty!! This is a very center-heavy bra, and more closed-on-top than their other bras (which are strangely TOO open on top while also being flat and shallow), is slightly less shallow at the bottom of the cup, and has a deep and slightly pointed apex (when I filled in the space with push-up pads, it rounded out.) So although the left side of the bra doesn't gap, the cups are still too big and are definitely empty in the apex. (A weird trend that I noticed with all three balconettes I received: the right edge is longer/looser than the left.) I'd say that this fits closer to a full and round 28FF, or slightly smaller 28G. (In comparison, I consider myself to be a more pointy, less full 28F.) I could potentially make this fit by moving the straps in, because they are WAY too wide, but I would still need to somehow take a wedge out of the inner top cup edge. Boux Avenue doesn't do international exchanges, so I would have to pay anywhere between $22 and $65 to return this bra within the given time range, and then pay full price and shipping to get the next size down. I would love to try this in a 30DD, but that is WAY too much money. So either I have to adjust it, or sell it, and see the beauty go. :,( Read more 294 more words
This is such a beautiful bra, the pictures don't do the blush and ivory and details justice.... WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SUCH A STRANGE SHAPE?! It's wide, extremely shallow, and super open on top. I don't know if the tension of the fabrics is off, or they're manufacturing these bras so quickly and cheaply that the top edges get stretched while adding the upper laces, but for some reason the edge of this bra was curling back so that it stuck out. On me, there's a lot of empty space in the sides and bottom, and my breasts are exploding out the top in a cakes-on-a-plate way, ...which would look really awesome if only the top edge of the cups didn't stick out like they do!! A complete shape mis-match, and even more shallow than their popular Chloe balconette, but the usual way-too-wide straps. The inner cup fabric is WAY softer than the other bras, which inner cup seam binding and cup fabrics are really itchy. SO pretty. Not sure I could fix this one to make it fit. :/ Move the straps in? SO. PRETTY. Absolutely stunning satin, the whole bra looks and feels really high end.
I don't know why Boux Avenue make bras with such wide wires. I also don't know why I keep buying them even though I know the wires are too wide.
I bent these wires narrower, which has helped somewhat, but it's way too shallow at the wire and at the centre to count as a good fit for me. But it's so beautiful that I can't let it go! It really does look and feel exquisite.
This bra stops at E, so I tried it in a 32E and it wasn't as bad as I expected. It runs very firm, though it's not wide enough in the cups so didn't get bought. I love the design and it's higher quality than most plunges found in high street shops.
Beautiful bra, but there seems to be a shape/size mismatch. It runs a bit small in the band and the cup isn't so good for my boobs, which need a taller more shallow cup. The strappy cage bits are adjustable.
Adored this bra until the first time I washed it. At the beginning it made by boobs look amazing boosting me from a B to a DD!!! I was amazed. However when I washed it for the first time the straps stretched and they are now too long, hopefully I can fix this but otherwise and an amazing bra.
I really, really wanted this bra to fit me, and I was surprised at just how badly it fit me. Generally, I get on well with lined bras. Sure, the underwires might be too wide technically, but usually it doesn't affect comfort or support the way it does when it's non-lined. I'd say this bra is a little shallow, not immensely so, but it's definitely not only wide, the depth wasn't there for me. Usually bras are too wide for me but the depth is alright anyway, not so much with this one. I wasn't squished but I could just feel how it was too tight, you know? ...The band is slightly tight for a 30", I'd say. I'm consistently between band sizes (28 and 30) and had this bra been available in a 28, it'd for sure be uncomfortable and I'd need an extender. When in doubt, go for the bigger band size. The straps are too stretchy in my opinion, but not overtly so. If the description of this bra fits your shape, the straps won't be a deciding factor. They definitely have some resistance but I'm just more used to heavy-duty straps. Just saying it because... If this description does NOT sound like it'll work for you, the added con of the straps being stretchy (and thin) certainly won't make it any better. I'm sure if you have the shape for this bra (slightly shallow and in need of bras with slightly wide underwires), it'll be very comfortable! The bra is really cute an comfortable. I'd consider it a staple lace bra, for pretty much anyone. The colour range is great as well. I'd love to buy more of these.
Cups fit with the straps loosened, but gives a weird shape. Probably would be a great unpadded bra if I got a size up. I really love the look and color of this, though. It has a very firm band, maybe good for a tight 30 or loose 28, and cups seem to run about a size small (or maybe it's just me)
Pretty bra, but doesn't come in my size, I bought it when I didn't know my true size. There is a wire or a stick or something on the side of the band, probably to help it stay in place? I don't know
One thing's for sure -- this bra is gorgeous. When I first saw it at the store, I thought that the print might be a little too much for me, since I had never tried a patterned bra before. When I tried it on? Wow. I was in love with the print. So in love that I decided to make it work for me, even though it was a little snug on my ribcage.
The fit is decent enough for me. I do feel that the band is a little snug for a 32; I can snap it, but it feels very, very tight. At the same time though, ...I think that if I would've went up to a 34 band, it would've been too loose. For now, I'm using a bra extender to make the bra more comfortable, and I think that it will fit fine once the band stretches out a little. It should be noted that up until I purchased this bra, I was buying 36c or d bras, so I was used to a much looser band. This might be why the band feels a little tight to me. I have heard from others that Boux Avenue bras run small in the band, however.
In regards to the cups? They do fit me okay. This was the size that the bra fitter at the Glasgow Boux Avenue said was the perfect for me. They're comfortable, and I do feel supported in them. I felt amazing in this bra in the store and the first time I wore it, but since then I've begun to feel like I might've benefited from an FF instead. Unfortunately, though, this bra is only made in B to F cups. That's fine, though; the 32F works okay for me; I just sometimes have to adjust how my breasts sit in the cups. So, it's not a perfect for me, but I'm still quite happy with it.
Pros -- --The bra is gorgeous. --It's decent quality. --It doesn't seem to stretch out quickly. --It gives the girls a nice lift, and provides me with nice cleavage. --It makes me feel sexy. --It makes me feel supported.
Cons -- --The straps can't be fully adjusted, and this might be an issue for some women (though it wasn't for me). --The cups are quite close together. Again, this isn't a problem for me, but it might be for others. --The bra band occasionally itches on the center front portion if I have the bra on too tight. This is fixed by using a bra extender. --The bra band seems to be sized a bit small for a 32.
I am really happy with this bra. The material is really firm and supportive, the shape is good and it actually seems to fit!!! Well, the cup fits. Unfortunately it only starts at a 30 so I can't get a 28ff. The 30 isn't too bad though, and I think it is just as firm as some of my 28s. On the middle hook it is ok, although on the tightest hook it would probably be better. I added a picture of this next to a 28ff Bravissimo bra, and you can see the bravissimo bra is actually bigger! (Although I have had the bravissimo bra a while so it may have stretched).
In spite of the fact that this doesn't come in a 28 I will probably still buy this again if it is made in a different color, as I really like the style and the support.
It is also very pretty, as the lace is a really pretty embroidery. And I like the briefs too, they actually fit as well.
