    Didn't fit

Etta is one of my favorite bras ever. I love the dainty floral print, the super soft lightly padded cups, and the smooth satin finish. It worked surprisingly well for my pendulous, FoB breasts and short roots. The 28G was too big in the cup after losing some weight and the 28F - Bravissimo » Etta Longline (LN412) was too small. It's now my goldilocks bra as I think I need a 28FF for the fit to be just right. The three-part, padded plunge style is reminiscent of a Comexim plunge bra. I've put more details and a full review of the fit of both sizes on my blog, plus a brief review of the 28FF - Bravissimo » Satine Bra (AU15), the cut on which Etta is based, for comparison. I hope to try the new pink colorway as well.

    • This is such a gorgeous bra & I've always wanted to try Satine cuts for the low gore but always figured they wouldn't have enough room at the wire like 95% of bras

    • lcl0706 Yep, I am still looking for a bra with enough room at the wire *and* the apex. At least the softness of this cup material lends a little more give down there.

Just about a perfect fit! Due to my uneven chest, the larger side is a bit too big to fit fully in the cup but it's a good enough fit for me. No chance of escapees from the top or bottom. Band size fits me perfectly. This is my first time having a bra in my true size and I'm loving it!

Oh I love the pattern! Glad it’s comfortable for you. Fingers crossed it stays comfortable

    • 1

This looks awesome! It’s giving you a grate shape, and the color/pattern is really cool.

    • 1

I love my Apollo too, it's so comfy! I wear mine for hiking but also for everyday when I am active and busy.

Marathon training has taken over my mind. I read that last sentence as "may it only be as comfortable *on the* long run..."

Hurray for comfort, both in AND on the long run. :D

    Didn't fit

My first Bravissimo bra! I’m not sure about how it fit and I’m on the fence about keeping it or sending it back and trying another size or not bothering with it at all.

I know this colorway is pretty polarizing. I actually really like pansies, so I’m pretty fond of the print. I’m not really a white bra gal, but it’s cute! The pansies definitely make up for the white for me.

The bra itself is constructed very well. It has really nice firm fabric which reminds me of Ewa Michalak SF bras. The wires are firm but not uncomfortable. The straps are very stretchy and the ... band is pretty comfortable.

My main issue is the depth and the location of where the most depth is…it kind of reminds me of my Nessa bras because it doesn’t have as much immediate projection at the wire. It slopes up pretty dramatically and leaves me gaping at the bottom. I can fit one or two fingers between the wire and my IMF because of how the cups are constructed. My issue with my Nessa bras is that the slope was so dramatic like with Penny that my boobs settle at the apex and gap like how I just described. So that’s why I’m unsure if I’ll keep this one or not. This is another one I need to mull over before sending back. I’m curious if a 34JJ would fit better or worse, so I may send it back and try that size instead if it’s even available.

Hey congrats on your first Bravissimo bra!
The pattern has grown on me and it's prettier in person that on their product photos! I think the bra looks very good on you! I don't find the bottom wrinkling very bad, I also get a little of that in my bra but it's supportive nonetheless. I have seen much worse in other bras.

    • 2

Thank you! I really love everything about the bra except the fit. I really do need more space at the bottom. I’m sure it’s super supportive but the issues with this bra were the same as both the Nessa bras I’m departing with (although the Nessa wires are much less firm, so that’s a win for the Penny bra).

Unfortunately they don’t have another size up for me to try, and I think a 34K would be too big, so I’m sad but it’s just not meant to be I think.

    • 2

This looks amazing on you! Sorry the fit isn’t what you wanted.

    • 2

pretty_promise You could ask Bravissimo to put you on a wait list for the 34JJ. In case someone is going to return one, they can let you know.

    Didn't fit

The Gemma bra is a full cup style. I really like the night sky theme. I followed the advice that alidieux gave in her reviews: size down in cup! I would usually order a 32K and got 32JJ in this. Weirdly it is still slightly too big! So I would say you can size down even 2 cups. I did not dare to do this bc I usually have to size up for my FOT boobs. Anyway I decided not to exchange against the 32J because there was other features on this bra that I disliked apart from the fit.
First the band was the stretchiest ... in all 32 band bras I recently tried. I go so far to say I could even get away with a 30 band. I could close the 32 on the tightest hooks with ease.
It's also a thin mesh band and I fear it would stretch out quickly.
I had slight wrinkling on top of cups and on sides and bottom. There was not much side support and it gave a rather wide - slightly east-west shape. The cups came quite high under my arms but it was bearable. The shoulder straps fell too stretchy and like they would stretch ouf quickly and fold in while wearing...
The bra was the least supportive in my recent order.

Aw bummer it wasn’t total fit. The pattern is to die for! I’m a huge fan of outer space.

    • 2

Yes it was my favorite print out of their new releases. I also love space themed bras. The "lighter" material might be less of an issue in a smaller cup.

    Didn't fit

The Mabel is a new style by Bravissimo I was very curious about. It got very good reviews and it's apprently a bra with the stretchy top section but it's not thin lace. I got my current usual size of 32K. The Mabel has new wires from J-cup upward which are supposed to be more narrow.

    The fit:
Bra was too large in the top section for me, there was slight gaping. Also the cups came up too high under my arm. Apart from that the bra felt supportive and good quality, so I decided to exchange it for a 32JJ. I recommend if you are above a J-cup to size down in cup in this.

Hmm, interesting. almost looks like athleisure. (or athleisure inspired!)
      Not flowery/lacey.

    • 1

side story: my sister is a physiotherapist (or "physical therapist" for USA) and only wears athleisure: for work, home, etc.
I asked her, "What would you do if athleisure wasn't in style?" She said, "I would still wear it." Lol. #ComfortFirst

    • BraOdyssey when I unpacked it, my first thought was: did they send me a wired sports bra here? Definitely the same fabric. But I think it's not a bad idea as it makes for a supportive reliable everyday bra very likely to support well in large cup sizes. Some bras with stretchy lace I struggle with bc the lace is just too soft to hold in my boobs.

    32K

    Didn't fit

This bra has an almost 5 - star rating from 478 reviews (as of June 2021) on the Bravissimo website. When I ordered some bras recently, I thought, why not throw this in and see what all the hype is about. Unfortunately the bra did not work for me at all.

The material feels sturdy and strong, it looks like a good quality construction. The fit was really bad on me. My first impression was that the bra just looked really bulky, but that could also be because of the size. It was not easy to put on, not because I couldn't handle the closure (you need to ... try a few times but I think if you can close your regular bras on the back, you can manage this too?) but it just would not sit properly on my boobs. Swoop and scoop would not work to get the wrinkling on bottom, side and top away. I just could not get the wires to sit where they should. It doesn't look half as bad on my pics but it felt not nice to put on.

Also have to mention that I only can close the band with an extender. It is very firm, so keep that in mind and size up 1 band size. The cups do run quite large in my opinion. This 32K has the "new wires from J-cup up" which are apperently more narrow and provide better fit in large cups according to Bravissimo. I did not notice any of that, as they were kinda wide still. Apart from the more generous cup sizing, I still could not get my boobs to sit properly in these cups so I assume the shape is all wrong or maybe they are too shallow on bottom? I really don't know. Or the bra is just too large in cups / small in band. I fear that the neck closure could add pressure to that area when worn during a full day and cause neck pain. Also I don't find that the back view looks that pretty on me.

I use this bra just for sleeping. I don't like it as an wireless bra because it's just slightly small in cups and give me a giant mono boob. It is not really flattering.
While I sleep I don't care too much about that. I like that the bra keeps my boobs contained and it's really nice for side sleeping. I like the thick straps and the racerback which helps distribute the weight away from just the shoulder. The cups are lined with cotton and lightly padded. They feel comfy. I would size up if I could in this bra but on the other side the 34HH/J at least give me a bit of compression which means better support.

  11. Stella (LN515)

    6
    like

    30E

    Didn't fit

First time reviewing a bra on the Bratabase, TL;DR at the bottom.

Style and material: The Bravissimo Stella is a non-padded plunge bra with leaf-style lacing on the cups and a semi-opaque mesh band. This bra is very relaxed, simplistic and lightweight. The material is very soft even on the straps and doesn't scratch or poke into you anywhere. The underwiring of the bra, like a lot of bravissimo bras, feels quite thick and sturdy but it doesn't come at the expense of comfort. This is a bra with a lot of 'thin points' such as the straps, gore, and the 2-hook band but these don't pinch you or ... dig in at all. You can't get away with machine washing this without proper care (such as use of a lingerie bag) as the material quality easily degrades.

Shape - bra vs me: This is where the negatives start, the underwire on the sides sits a bit too far from where the breast tissue ends, which is not an uncommon problem for me with standard retail bras. You can also see in the angle and side shots that the lace flares up a little at the top, where I barely have any breast tissue. The fabric of the bra wrinkles slightly on the right cup as that breast is smaller but I won't hold that against this bra as I've yet to come across a unpadded bra that doesn't. The Stella seems to 'flatten' me which I don't particularly like when it comes to wearing it under form fitting clothes. A positive is that the underwire sits perfectly under my breast tissue.

The size (30E): I think I got the cup right as the cup size down did produce some quad action. I semi-purposely went a band size up as I wanted a sort of bra in my arsenal for comfort/lounging purposes. I also bought this at a time when I was in denial about fitting into 28 bands. In hindsight, I could've stuck with the 28 as the band was quick to loosen to the point of comfortably fitting my fist under there.

TL;DR: It's not the best fit but it makes for a great lounge bra or more a loose relaxed bra for when I'm not necessarily needing a lot of support and bought the band a size up for that purpose. However, I found that the band has loosened quicker than I expected so keep that in mind if you're looking to get this bra and are between band sizes. The cup on my smaller (right) breast ever so slightly wrinkles when lying down but otherwise my breasts feel supported. The cup underwiring is slightly too wide but doesn't feel uncomfortable. The gore doesn't dig in and feels super comfortable (even in my usual band size of 28) which is my favourite thing about this bra.

    Didn't fit

I’m going to piggyback off of alisa ’s excellent review of the same bra in 34HH/J. My experience was almost identical - def check out the comments for more good info on this bra.

Me: FOT, close-set, center full, relatively soft tissue, somewhat wide roots, pendulous.

The Zara is beautiful to look at and well constructed overall. wireless bra that actually keeps my breasts at a decent height. If you can sister size down to a smaller band/bigger cup than your usual Bravissimo size, it might work, but the looseness of the band combined with the non-adjustable straps makes this less than ideal for larger ... cups - unless you have firmer tissue and/or somewhat self-supported breasts.

The cups are have a side sling and are built very well for my shape with a nice, high gore. But this bra is at least 1 cup size too small for me & the band is very stretchy, which means the straps take the weight of my boobs and they dig in quite badly after a bit. There is a really miserable thick seam right at the pressure point where the strap sits at the top of the shoulder. (See pics) Yeowch!

This was the bra that taught me what a bra blog tried to explain - though I'm not at all projected, because I am pendulous I need more projection @ the wire. Otherwise my breasts push the wires down and out of my IMF, causing the tops of my boobs to spill out as the cups are pushed downwards, making the band ride up and causing a lot of stomach & shoulder discomfort. Sheesh! #liveandlearn

I kept it - but I will definitely let it go once I find something more comfortable to take it’s place.

      Thanks for the review!
I agree Zara could be so amazing if we had the option to size up in cups / size down in band. I'd try 32JJ/K if available! So many reviews on the Bravissimo site recommend to size up in cup which is not possible for us at the upper end of the size spectrum.

    • alisa Mmm-hmm! Seeing as Bravissimo 's entire MO is catering to the DD+ crowd, you'd think they would offer more selection towards the JJ/K/KK/L end of the spectrum.

    • CAGirlGoingPolish I actually noticed they limited some sizes.
Of course they did a lot compared to in 2015 when they had like 3 bras go up to L. Even the sports bra goes up to L and there is a selection of 6-7 bras to choose.
But I noticed on many new bras, they cut out 28 bands, they stop at 30J and leave 30JJ-L crowd hanging.

    • alisa yup! Boo!

  13. Camilla Bra (LN597)

I had this bra for 4 months. When I first got it, it was a perfect fit. I was shocked at how well this bra fits... since I made the "risky" decision to size down from my usual 32JJ in Bravissimo. It was such a bargain at the sale price.

First about the bra: It's a balconnette bra with cups made of 4 parts. It is not the traditional side support construction but the bra features the "triangle" part where the cup meets the straps that also appears in Ewa Michalak SF / BM. It also features a stretchy lace top section. Camilla is one of the few bras ... from Bravissimo that does not come with the extra lining on top of the cups above HH-cup. The color is a darker sage green but it looks lighter because of the beige mesh fabric underneath. The material is very lightweight, the stretchy lace is very thin but still holds in the boobs quite well.

The fit: Oh how was I surprised how narrow these wires are.(I mean for an UK brand!)

    Comparison of wire width:
    Bravissimo Camilla 32J: 16.5cm
    32JJ - Bravissimo » Lulu Bra (LN581) : 18cm
    70K - Ewa Michalak » Sf Gładzioch Beż (849) : 16.2cm

Wow! The wires are just right for me in this bra! I wonder if this bra features more narrow wires in general or if there is just a big gap between 32JJ and 32J in wire fit?
Also the bra brings my boobs to the front. It also offers enough room at the centre. I noticed that the wires fold a bit over each other, but it does not bother me. Since I have close set boobs that are very full at the centre, I get some almost cleavage in this bra. The band runs true to size but I have to wear this bra now on the tightest setting to get enough support since I lost a tiny bit of weight since I got the bra.

I think that this bra was inspired by Panache Jasmine but it is so much better. The narrow wires and the cup construction remind me of Ewa Michalak SF bras. I wonder why Bravissimo discontinued it? Maybe the color wasn't popular? It's really a good bra...

What a great find for you! I just hopped over to eBay to see if I could find one for myself, no luck. For anyone else interested, there is one seller on eBay, they spell Camila with 2 “L”s, and they have various cup sizes with bands between 34-38.

    • 1

That looks like a great bra! I really like that colour.

    • 1

That is so gorgeous on you! I got lured in by the sale price on that and took a risk buying it in a 32HH (normally I'm 32Hish) - and that stretchy fabric band along the top of the cups was laughably loose, fluttering in the wind like a sad sailboat at sea on a dull day. But it taught me that perhaps I'm not as FOT as I had thought! Had to return - and am a little jelly at how beautiful that is on you. Major score!

    • 3

This gives you an awesome shape...looks great!

    • veggiechic Check Bravissimo sale section again in few days. I usually check bravissimo sale section like once a week to see if something good in my size was added and just last week Camilla was still there, few 30 band sizes were available. This week the bra is not to be found. Sometimes bras "came back" to the sale section later.

    • 1

atp Keep looking into the sale section at bravissimo. I saw so many bras coming back after a while when they were returned maybe your size comes back. Also interesting that you found it to run quite big (of course because you ordered 1 size up) but I think the bra runs generous in that top section, 32J was a good fit me but on smaller days I think I could even size down to 32HH.

    • 1

Great colour and lovely fit on you! What a pity they discontinued it..might be worth asking Bravissimo if they plan on bringing it back or if they have any other very similar cut.

    Fits

The Lulu is a balconette bra. It features are stretchy lace at the top of the bra. The part is lined in this size with a nude stretchy lace, so the whole part is stretchy.
The band is firm for a 32 band and fits me quite well (31inch underbust). The straps are fully adjustable. I really love the mint color, it's very vibrant.
I don't have anything negative to say about this bra. It is not as tall as my other Bravissimo bras (Lacey, Dina) so it fits me best currently.

The Edge of the top section can cut a bit in on my soft boobs, but it's ... nothing compared to other offenders with tight stretchy lace like 34HH - Elomi » Charley Bralette (4381) so I just ignore it. The cups fit very well, The shape is round and projected. The bra is comfortable and does not hurt me during a full day of wear. I would recommend this bra, but it was discontinued and only a few sizes are left on sale. Also note that the bra is a true half cup below H-cup and only from HH-K it is a balconette bra like on my pictures.

I'm curious: did you know before ordering that it would be a balcony in your size?

I love the look of the Lulu and that's awesome that this is a win for you!!

    • The cups seem to fit quite nicely. Love the blush mint color too. I wish we had Bravissimo store anywhere near. They seem to have projected shape bras.

AGBras When I first saw the bra in the sale section I was like: OMG a half-cup up to K-cup… but I know that Bravissimo Always states if their bra is different in bigger cup sizes (if it has extra lining etc.) and with this one they even had a picture there: https://www.bravissimo.com/products/lulu-bra-mint-ln581min/ So I knew what I was buying.

    • I'm sad that they discontinue it! I could imagine this in a light summery pink, a nice bluebell lilac color or a sherbet yellow. Oh it would be so pretty. But Maybe it did not sell too well because it's 2 different bras in one and there was confusion about it? Also imagine being between H and HH and ordering both sizes...

    34K

    Didn't fit

The Melrose bra has been around for years. It is what I call the "old bravissimo full cup shape". It is different to their newer full cup shape on bras like Darcy, Selina or Urban Rose. The old Bravissimo full cup shape, features cups that are very tall and very deep at the bottom, then they are very projected which can often end in a pointy shape. (Bravissimo Dotty Spot was the worst offender with it's pointy shape)

The top section of the cups is very closed and will not allow for any full on top tissue in the correct size. It will push down your boobs or ... cut in, if any boob escapes these tall cups. The top section of the bra takes over half of the cups in a size 34K and looks nothing like on the store pictures where the lower section looks bigger than the top section. It does not look very flattering on.

    The positives:

The quality is really good. The fabric is sturdy and also soft-feeling. Nothing compared to that cheap slightly scratchy Alana fabric. The upper section is a lace fabric with zero stretch that is lined with another fabric with zero stretch. I could do without those scalloped edges at the band and under the arms, it can rub on skin while wearing making the bra uncomfortable. The band is firm and the shoulder straps are fully adjustable.

How it fit me/ the problems:

The cup of this 34K is really tall, even though I have tall boobs, it is too much. The wires are slightly too wide at the sides, they are very tall under the arms but gladly don't poke. The gore is very tall too, but lies flat and seperates the breasts. The cups are also slightly too big. That's why I don't get that extremely pointy shape or the cutting in. The bra does not look too big on the pictures, but I have adjusted the straps very short to get rid of wrinkling. I could even fit some extra paper tissues into these cups.

The band fits well. I think that if I tried this bra in a 34JJ, I could have the top section pushing my boobs flat. I don't know if there would be quadboob since I cannot imagine any tissue escaping these cups? I just imagine the bra being uncomfortable and giving a downward pointy - flattened on top shape. What I have to say: this bra has lots of room and lots of projection in the bottom of the cups! I don't get any wrinkling at all at the underwire.

The bra does feel supportive but I feel that size is not quite right. I don't think my boobs get the proper support in these cups, because the wires are too wide and the wrinkling on top. I think the bra would be very supportive in the right size but would not give a very much uplifted and round shape. I think the best shape to fit this bra would be: tall boobs but very full on bottom. Also wider shoulders would help too, because I found the straps too seperated and they cut into my arms.

    Didn't fit

    Why bra you don't work???

I just received this bra today. I decided to go with a Georgia full cup since it has the same shape as Selina and Darcy but was on sale. Bravissimo recommended the 34K to me, after I told them that I have some wrinkling in my 34KK Darcy.
When I took the bra out of the package I noticed that it appeared somewhat flimsy. It does look lightweight and not sturdy at all like on the Bravissimo pictures.

When I tried it on... what I expected: perfect fit, like my 34L Bravissimo bras with similar shape used to fit. What I got: a somewhat really weird ... fit.
I don't know is it too big or a weird shaped bra???

    The issues:

There is very slight wrinkling at the top of the cups. It is very minor but it feels like I would have some extra room there, if my boobs were even fuller on top. A good thing for full on top shape.

The cups are very deep and projected, I get to fill the bottom of the cups quite well. On the side I have some empty fabric, as the wires are about 1-2cm too wide (this is standard for me in every bra so if everything else would be ok, I would not mind...). The cups are really really tall. They come up really high under my arms. No way some underarm fat can escape these roomy cups.

At first I only moderately adjusted the straps but when I saw the wrinkling, I adjusted them as short as possible. I still think, I could make them a tiny bit shorter if it was possible. I posted 2 pics where I hold up the straps some more, it would make the shape from the side better and get rid of wrinkling.
The lace at the edge of the cups is stretchy. The top section of the cups is a flimsy stretchy fabric but has a non-stretchy lining for stability.

I find the band quite stretchy for a bravissimo bra, not up their usual very firm bands that I know from Darcy, Selina, English Rose and Urban Rose. When I shorten the straps to the maximum I feel like the band rides up. I know it does not really but it feels like it would during longer wear. The band is not really too big tough. Probably it feels big because the cups are too big. Also I find the shape quite pointy from the side. It is not too visible in the Pictures but compared to my Tango or Ariza it is more pointy.

I only wore the bra for 10 mins since I most likely have to return it, but I kinda have the concern that the bra could become unsupportive over the day and I get neck pain from pull on the tight shoulderstraps. Also the gore could get uncomfortable as it would dig into my boobs.

Another issue I have is that the wires at the gore Always fold over each other no matter how I adjust my boobs in this bra. I don't know why that happens. I don't think that there is not enough center projection. I find the cups deep, wide and tall usually this is what I need in a bra (although I need more tall and deep than wide cups). I don't know if I should get a 34JJ or just let this one be and go for another Darcy or Selina if left in my size…

Oh I've been looking to get Georgia! This colour is absolutely amazing. Sorry it wasn't that good of a fit :(

    • brasaremean yess it's such a pretty Color! I was happy to find a pretty Color left as this years new bras are mostly black or dark colors which I don't prefer. It might work better in your size, I don't say it's a bad bra.

    • Sorry it doesn't fit, it's a nice colour. Honestly it looks so tall that I doubt anybody could fill it...

    • 1

Sovavosi yes it has super tall cups. I'm confused as I used to get a good fit in similar shaped bras from Bravissimo. Maybe there is a reason this model is discontinued and sale and Selina is still around. Maybe they had many returns.

    • If only I had ordered 34JJ too, I be curious if it's solved by a smaller size… but I never thought that 34K would be too big.

    • Beautiful color, sorry the fit wasn't ideal. :-/

    • Definitely not centered enough/not enough center room here. That’s why you are getting those inside wrinkles I think.

    • 1

I returned it, it was an odd fit. I also won't get another, I found the material was not very good. I think the wrinkling at the center could also have been because of that flimsy fabric? I don't get this Kind of wrinkling in 34K - Bravissimo » Melrose Bra (SB25) or 32KK - Bravissimo » Erin Bra (LN441).

    • 1

Sorry it didn't work out for you, but I think it was a wise decision to pass on this one as well, given the dissatisfaction with the materials.

    • alisa, you describe the material as being flimsy and lightweight. A buyers comment on this bra on the Bravissimo website indicated the same feeling while another felt it was more like bikini material yet the stock images and your own pictures suggest to me the material might be similar to the Selina. I really like the look of the new Georgia Mint colourway Bravissimo has but your review has me questioning whether I should get this or not. You mentioned the band is stretchy compared to the Selina but how about the cups?

    • l454d Hm... it's not the same weight of material than Selina or Erin, it's thinner. Like on Alana, but less scatchy fabric than Alana. Georgia cup is soft material but thin mesh like Alana, it's double lined in big cups. I don't think it's similar to Bikini material, but it looks a bit because it's more shiny than Alana fabric.

I don't think it's a bad bra, I don't want it to come over like that. Also the bra did not fit me properly so it was already a dissapointment. In the right size I probably would get less wrinkling. The band also could have felt too big because the cups were too big and I adjusted the straps so tight they pulled the band up in the back? But I found Georgia bra more stretchy because it's just a mesh stretch band like on Alana and not covered in lace like on Erin. No stretch in Georgia cups. I hope I made sense.

    28H

    Didn't fit

A note: my tag on this one says AU11 although it *is* the Thea bra.

Thea is Bravissimo's non padded plunge bra, and I will say it does seem to suit a FOB shape as any upper fullness (if soft) will get cut in severely. It looks great tho, gives a slightly minimised look, and there's really not that much lift so it's more a natural shape.

The coverage is very plungey--meaning there's really not much of it which is fine. I wanted a plunge. However the cups are too small on my larger side and the lace is cutting in some. Like I said, if your tissue is soft ... and you have any upper fullness, this will happen. The lace has some give, so I think it would play really really well with firmer tissue.

The band is typical Bravissimo--a 28 is more of a slightly tighter 30. Bravissimo is often praised for being one of the rare manufacturers that does almost all their bras up to a 28KK or something, but to me that is deceptive... all Bravissimo bras I tried ran loose in the band. So a 28H is a very comfortably snug band on me. I think I gained some cm in the underbust too so that is very telling.

Wires are slightly on the wider side, but no problem for me. If I went up a cup size though, I think it would be too wide wires. I also think it would be much too large on my smaller side, as is obvious from the photos, it's already gaping slightly (that is not in cup quadding, but in fact the lace is completely loose on my smaller side).

I had this bra a long long time ago in a very wrong size but I liked it back then, which is why I set out on a mission to find it again. The bra is still very pretty and a non padded plunge that is actually a plunge with low gore is quite a find imho. I even like the shape it gives, but unfortunately, atm it doesn't seem to fit on my larger side which is a big issue for me right now--my asymmetry seems to have...increased? Can I use that word? The difference between the smaller and larger side seems to be bigger now whereas it was just a cup or two before, and it's greatly affecting the fit of any bra I try on these days.

I was going to say I saw in cup quadding. Boy photos can be deceptive sometimes! Sorry hormone flux is increasing your asymmetry issue. :-/ Do you feel that is due to going off the pill?

    • 2

I honestly don't know, I think it might take a while for my hormones to balance themselves out, couple of months at least.
But if the larger side really continues growing I'm going to get an ultrasound just to make sure nothing funky is going on...

    • 1

I hope it all balances out soon. Big hugs. 💙

This is the Satine Jacquard bra in Rose from the Bravissimo 2018 collection. I have been in need of a nude bra to wear with white t-shirts. This bra is absolutely perfect for that purpose and is still attractive. I am extremely pale (hello Canadian winter), but the rose colour functions nicely as a nude on me - it passes the white t-shirt test. I love the silky fabric and the soft sheen - it makes a basic bra a bit more special. I had previously tried a 28FF Satine and found it too shallow at the bottom of the cup. This size, however, is perfect for me. It is an extremely comfortable, everyday bra and looks smooth under clothing. It gives a nice, natural but round shape. The straps are the perfect width and very comfortable. The band is a bit stretchy for a 28, I can already fasten it on the loosest hook. I am hoping that it doesn't stretch too much with wear. Overall, I am really pleased with this bra.

It looks great on you and I really love that pattern.

    • 1

I agree, it loves awesome! Like a subtle houndstooth print. Very nice!

    • Looks so pretty on you, and the pattern is so delicate and lovely!

This bra looks so good on you!! I'm glad all bras you got from me fit you so well! (except the extra wide strap set on przeplatanki).

    • 1

It looks great on you. I have one of these coming to me sometime in the next few days, so I hope mine fits just as well!

    • 1

      Wilderness1 fingers crossed!!

    • 2

martka00 thank! They were all surprisingly bra wins. I'm starting the new year off right :)

    • 1

rachaelll well done to you! It looks like we fit in bras similarly (except I need more 65-70 and you 60-65) which means we can swap bras more often :D

    • 1

It looks beautiful! I'm so glad you're finding some great fitting bras!

    • Looks great! I have been tempted so many times by the Satine! I almost got a 30FF from the listings here but it was a stretched band over 30” so I had put it off. I had fallen in love with the oriental green one a while back. How do you find it feels and fits compared with/to the Freya Deco, of which I know that you have had?

    • martka00 you and I are pretty close. I’m 65F/FF or 70E/F. I’m not sure if I can can do 65G, though the 65G S that she got from you looks like maybe it would fit. I wish I had more stuff I could trade with you.

    • 1

Calluna the Deco did not work for me at all. The Deco padding is too firm and doesn't mould to my shape. It feels like amour to me. And I always got a visible cup line with the Deco under tops. The Satine actually reminds me a little of the Comexim plunges in terms of shape and fit. The gore is obviously lower. But it has the same kind of flexible padding that contours to you. I find that the Satine gives a really smooth look under a t-shirt - which I never got with the Deco. Not sure if this helps

    • Yes it helps a lot! Do you find that the cups are too wide in the Satine at 5.5”?

    • 1

They are a little wide, but not so much that it compromises the fit. Wearing it, it feels like there is space on the side cups, but when I take it off the wire marks follow my natural shape almost perfectly.

    • I have had this too. Feels too wide but marks follow the root.

    • Calluna bras are just so confusing!

    • 1

      Totally. And bodies are weird.

    • Calluna agreed!

I ordered this bra along with the Millie from Bravissimo on a whim. I haven't seen any information about them on bratabase (in this size range), but they both had glowing reviews on Bravissimo.

Well, the Millie didn't work out, but the Amber plunge is a true winner. This bra is perfect in every way. It is comfortable, has a firm band, the cups are the ideal width and height, it creates cleavage that rivals the Deco and disappears seamlessly under tops.

The appearance of the bra itself is not outstanding, its a pretty basic appearing slate gray moulded bra. The band does have patterned power mesh (polka dots) and the gore has a small circle adornment. Despite her modest appearance, the fit of Amber is outstanding. It solves all the problems I experienced with the Deco (too wide, shallow, and visible cup lines) but gives a similar look. I think it is worth a try if are looking for something similar to the Deco.

  20. Alana Bra (AU01)

I really like this bra. I generally wear a 30JJ, but the fitter brought a 30K as it seems to run small. It gives good uplift and separation, though it is slightly pointy, but it looks very youthful under clothes. It is cut lower than some of my other balconette bras. It fits well on me, aside from very slight overspill at the top and very slight wrinkling at the bottom, apparently due to fullness on top. However this is barely noticeable, and it is very comfortable, I've had no problems with the band or wires, and it looks good. The only real problem I have had is that the eyes have started, for lack of a better word, "wiggling" - they haven't stayed in place very well. I doubt this is a general fault, though I may have to go back to Bravissimo about it.
