My best fitting bra. It is so great, that I deconstructed one and made it into a pattern and have made 3 bras so far from it. The band runs a little large, normally I would be a 32, but had to get a 30 in this style. The cups are foam, 3 seam constructed. The inside feels like cotton lining and the outside is satin. The satin is nice since it allows my tops to slide over them and not get caught up and wrinkled like outer cotton fabric cups. The gore is nice and low and is great for my close set breasts. I also love how simple the style is. I love me a basic. The measurements are for the beige color. I currently own 3 beige ones, and they all are very similar in construction. They are very well made and haven't had one break or become misshaped by any means.
I know the Satine has a big following, and I can understand why. Unfortunately, this bra is probably a size too large--my breasts do not fill the top of the cups. I love the low gore, rounded profile, narrow cups, and satiny smooth fabric. I'm tempted to buy it in a smaller size. This bra seems like a great substitute for folks wanted a t-shirt bra but don't want a shallow, molded cup model.
This is probably my best fitting bra to date. I'm really impressed with how much support it gives given how comfortable it is. It looks really great and the material is really comfortable.
I love the Satine bra. It's sturdy and has a good uplift and hold. The inner cotton(ish) fabric is very comfortable and the outer sateen fabric makes the clothes sit nice over the bra. The wires aren't too wide and the gore tacks. It brings the breast up front, not east/west. The band is to the large side. I don't think the cups stretches over time, I think it keeps the shape and fit very nicely.
Too elastic wires and really short band. Cups are deeper than in my other (well-fitted) bras, but wires ends at my back and a big part of cup is under my armpit, so there's not enough space for boobs. I really like the look, but it's unwearable in this size.
I tried this bikini top in both 30J and 30JJ. The 30JJ is definitely too big and this 30J is too small. I get a lot of quadding at the top and the band feels slightly too tight (though I expect it would loosen either with wear or if it was worn in water.) The wires are too wide and there is a finger-width of empty space in the bottom of the cup, even though I spill over at the top. It just doesn't suit my shape. I think I need more projection at the underwire and a cup that is not so closed at the top. From the reviews on Bravissimo's site, buyers had needed to go up a lot in cup size for this design - I think the cup size may run slightly small, but not by 3 sizes! The shape of the cup might suit a ski-jump shape breast and not everyone has this shape.
The reviews on Bravissimo's own site included people who had gone up 1, 2 or even 3 cup sizes in this bikini top, so I ordered both 30J and 30JJ rather than 30HH to try. This 30JJ is too large - there is a bit of looseness in the top of the cups, and they come up far too high on me. The wires are also much wider than I need. However the 30J is too small, still with excessively wide wires! So clearly the shape doesn't work for me. I wouldn't be surprised if that was most of the reason others needed larger cups, too. The top ...of the cup is very closed off and I think it will cut in and cause quadding for people who aren't mostly or entirely bottom-full, unless you size up. There are differences between the 30J and 30JJ - the larger bra is not just made of the same shaped bits of cloth cut slightly larger. Someone has put in some thought and decided to make the gore narrower in the larger cup size and the wing more substantial. I have attached photos to show the diffences. In this top the wing extends sideways from the top of the underwire, then slopes down to the clasp only after the place where the shoulder strap is attached. In the smaller top the wing is triangular, and there is no bra band at all under the underwires. This 30JJ certainly isn't a longline, but it does have a little bit of band - about a centimeter - down below the underwires. I think the 30J would be more comfortable for me if they made these changes at this level, but they must have decided J is too small to need them. Read more 189 more words

I absolutely love this bra! I got it used in a lot of bras but when I got it I found out it was a 32gg instead of 32g (my size). It is just too big for me. I love the floral, it is comfortable to wear and is super cute.
I have this size in the "navy floral" pattern. If I were giving it stars, I'd give it 8.5 stars out of 10. I am not a particular fan of offsetting, contrary lace that manufacturers are using to set off cups made in another pattern/colorway. The blue floral body of the bra is gorgeous and soft. The lace at the top of the cups would probably cut into a very FOT shape (I am FOB, slightly pendulous, center full-ish). The cups might gape for someone who is very pendulous as well. On me though, it's a very lovely shape. The comfort is quite good; I worried that ...the underwires would cut into my IMF and my ribs, but no such problem. The 32 band is a perfect fit and has stayed put, gore tacks without cutting into me. One caveat: the straps are a little wide and could cut into armpits if that's a usual problem for you. They are just on the edge of okay; any more into my armpit and they would actually hurt. To sum: comfortable for long-wearing; pretty; nice round, forward shape (with caveats above). Another bra that certainly couldn't fit me, but as I have it in my hands brand new and there is very little about it on Bratabase, I've measured it.
This bra is unlined. The straps are a bit stretchy and fully adjustable. The cup is sewn of four pattern pieces. It's nice that the navy stars on white background print covers the whole bra band and not just the front.
This is an unlined mesh plunge bra with double-layered mesh in the bottom two sections of the cup.
My shape: I am fairly projected, with fairly narrow roots, tall roots, I lack fullness above the apex of the breasts. I am also close-set.
How this bra fits: this is my favourite bra! I love it. The wires are fairly narrow - visualising how wide they would be were this bra a balconette, I am getting about 5 inches, which is perfect for me. The wires are firm, too, so they don't particularly widen when this bra is worn. As with the Bravissimo Elise plunge, there is oodles of immediate depth ...here, and a fair amount at the apex, too. The top section of the bra is slightly less closed than the Elise, although it doesn't have any stretch to it. It cuts in to my tall roots ever so slightly, but not enough to show under t-shirts at all. It gives me good lift, I get a natural-looking shape, slightly rounded. Love it.
The band was on the tighter side when I first got this, I'd estimate that it stretched to around 27 inches. I've rather worn this bra to death already (every second day since the day I got it, bc it is so utterly comfortable) and it has stretched out some. I'm pretty sure a wash and longer rest will tighten it back up. In any case, the band is on the tight side of TTS.
Looks: the cups are sheer. If you are a pale Caucasian with pale-coloured nipples, this bra could work as a nude. My nipples are too dark for that to work for me. The shade of yellow is soft, fairly pale. It doesn't drain my skin though, it's a warming yellow on me (yellow would ordinarily be a no-go for me). It would also look great on darker skin tones, everything from olive-toned to ultra-dark black skin, the colour is one of those very forgiving, soft shades. (I really love this bra, I can't stop waffling, lol). It's a simple bra, pretty and understated. The bow at the gore nudges it in the direction of pretty, and I'm going to remove it for that reason (I have a number of pretty bras, the simplicity of this one is what appealed to me).
Don't know how the colour will hold up with handwashing, it's light enough that it may grey with time. I'm going to invest in some good stain-remover so I can keep the shade nice. Read more 310 more words
My new favourite! Light, unobtrusive, supportive enough for day-to-day wear (if not for jogging), surprisingly minimising. I also personally love the triangle. Creates a somewhat pointed shape without much lift. Note that wires are stiff and cup sizes run small. I've heard rumours that this bra isn't too durable, so I'll update this in a month or so to let you know if it's falling apart.
This bra falls into the "probably the correct size, but not a good fit" category. The deep plunge is perfect, the wire width is good, the top of the cup sits evenly across... BUT, the cup has hardly any depth close to the wire (which I need) and so slides down a bit, and too much depth at the apex of the cup- while not exactly visible- I can feel it. This bra currently sits in my (large) bag of unfitting bras.
This bra has very soft, silky fabric in the bottom half of the cup, and then non-stretch lace in the upper part. The band is firm; even though it is clearly labeled a 36GG, I had to pull very hard to get it to stretch 35 inches. The firmness and band width give it a very supportive feel though, so I like that. I have an even shape with average height roots, and the top of the cup almost cuts in on my larger breast, but not enough to notice. People who have full on bottom breasts would get along well with this bra. This bra definitely brings ...the breasts front and center, and gives a more natural look as opposed to a rounded look. I am high set and have troubles with bra wires being too long and poking me in the armpit, but this bra doesn't do that. The wires are firm enough to be supportive. I am someone who needs immediate depth at the wire, and this bra has that. I got this in the caramel color and look forward to wearing it under my light tops this summer. This is a great bra! This is a foam bra, with some shaping from seams, sewn into a sleeveless top. I ordered both this and the unpadded strappy top at the same time and rather to my surprise, the foam version isn't as supportive as the unlined one. There isn't a lot of weight on the straps, but more than with the unpadded bra top and the straps are a little thinner, so it's less comfortable. The wires aren't too wide, which is good for me but the wires can't get high enough into my IMF and the cups cut in at the top too - I think this bra is designed for shallower breasts. There are only 2 hooks which may be an advantage for some people but I don't like it. However, the top doesn't look bad when on, I like the deep pink colour, and it was down to £18 in Bravissimo's sale, so I'm keeping it.
This is a sleeveless top with an unlined bra sewn into it. It works better than I expected. I think I need bras with a good deal of projection at the wire, and this bra doesn't have enough meaning the wires stay a finger width too low, but this is true for me in a variety of bras. The support is pretty good nonetheless. I was surprised to find I could push the straps off my shoulders without losing much support. The straps are fully adjustable and not massively thick but thick enough to be comfortable. The bra has 3 hooks which is what I'm used to.There is ...an extra layer of orange fabric in between the bra cups and the top itself - I don't know if that's actually useful, but it isn't a problem. I bought a 32H and a 30HH might have been better, but it was on sale. The full price of £34 seems to me a lot for a top but if this one stands up to a number of wearings without damage, I might buy another colour even at full price. Read more 80 more words
My shape: fairly projected, tall roots, shallow above the apex, average width roots, soft tissue (so my tissue all sinks to the bottom of my breasts, hence the shallow up top!).
This bra is on the narrow and deep side of things for this size I think. The wings are also very low - I'll upload pictures as soon as I can, but for now take my word on it. My high set breasts mean that cups often sit against my armpit edge, this bra does not. The straps are also not as wideset as a lot of balconettes. Shapewise it reminds me of the Bravissimo Alana bra, but ...with stretch lace.
The cups are roomy at the bottom and apex, less so above the apex. In this size the upper portion of this three part balconette is stretch lace, I know that in higher cup sizes the lace is then laminated, don't know which size though I'm afraid. The band is snug! If you are a sub28, this could certainly be worth a try. It isn't so snug as to make it a 26, but the fabric of the band is sturdy and ungiving, on my 27 inch underbust it is just okay.
Under clothes this bra gives me a gently rounded, natural shape. Good lift. The colour is also lovely, it's a pink-toned orange so works well on my cool-toned skin. Would look great on warm skin too. It's a simple but pretty bra - not too fussy, not too plain. The fabric is soft yet firm.
