Half-cup bras are apparently notorious for running small in the cup. I don't know if this runs small for a Bravissimo or not -- this was my first one, which is why I ordered it in two sizes. I really should've gone for two 32s in different cups, though the 30 was really quite comfortable once it was on. Just tricky to fasten, because there was so little extra band to work with when I put it on.

Anyway, for me and my needs, this was HILARIOUSLY SMALL. I wound up with the most quad boob anyone has ever had. Usually I just get a little bit of lip, this was literally like having two smaller boobs on top of my regular boobs.

I'm thinking I need to go up at least two cup sizes, and would have ordered a 32HH if Bravissimo had had it in stock.

    Still, it's a lovely bra.

This bra was one size too small, so I can't comment too much on the fit.

  4. Contour Strapless (AU31)

Everything was fine except but the top of the cup.
I mean I knew it's strapless bra So I get it that you designed it be stable. but top of the cup was too much. not opened designed almost just closed deisgn. I don't understand whether it's designed to be hold my breast tissue or to eat up my upper breast tissue.
the band was snug I can fasten anywhere I want It'feel so secure I love it.
It's well structured bra. when I wear something tight I can see the bones at the bottom of cup slightly

If I ever Had 28J I counldn't feel in the cup. the cup could have been small for me.

This bra fits almost exactly like the 36K - Bravissimo ยป Cherry Blossom Bra (LN238) and is similar to almost all of their balconettes. There's nothing particular special about this bra. It's got nice smooth fabric, a simple design and a lovely color. It gives the same illusion of uplift and perky girls that other Bravissimo balconettes do. However, the gore floats pretty far for me and I am left wondering if a bigger cup size would help at all. These bras do not have a lot of room for inner fullness for one. This fits almost like a full coverage bra, as I've come to expect. I will probably return it just because I need to return a different bra and I like the Bravissimo Darling Heart Bra (LN132) better.

This bra is so weird to me. The U shape of the wires mean it's narrow and I've never seen one of their narrower wires listed as a balconette before. The cup's shape looks like a full cup too. But it does not give me the downward sloping shape that a Bravissimo full cup does. It gives a somewhat minimized, rounded shape.

I wonder if I just needed a bigger cup size to accommodate my deep/narrow boob shape. I'm pretty happy with the nice wide, not too stretchy, not too stiff straps and all the lovely space near the gore for my inner full boobs. But the gore ... doesn't tack so I don't feel as stable in it and the cup even wrinkles just a tad so it bugs me quite a bit. It's also not as attractive as the one on the model (surprise, surprise) so at full price, I'm not sure if I'm keeping it.

It all shows up under shirts, the lining that is. It is of course comfortable and decent otherwise but I have become pickier in recent days.

Very lovely satin looking bra. Band is made for V shaped women, which I am not so it doesn't fit. I'm not ready to sew a dart to make the top of the band smaller so I am trading to someone who it will fit better. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

I was very excited to try this bra as it is one of Bravissimos few offerings up to a L-cup! (it's discontinued though )
Like all Bravissimo bras this one is very supportive and gives lots of lift.
The band is a bit too small so I wear it with an extender. I usually wear a 34KK in Bravissimo. I find that their bands run a bit tight but stretch out quickly. The wires are rather good width for me, only slightly too wide. There is no poking under the arms. Sadly I get some pain from the wires under the boobs when I wear the bra for a full day, but that happens with all bras :/ With this one it is not that bad, so I think it is as good as it gets in that size range.
The shape I get in this bra is quite round from the side. I think it is very similar to the Alana in terms of construction, support and shape.

This is a very comfortable bra!
The band feels a bit loose on the loosest hook, but it stays in place, so maybe that's just a feeling.
The cups fit well, it doesn't give a completely round shape, but not exactly pointy either and the wires are a really good width for me.
The top of the cup has a small ribbon sewn unterneath, which isn't stretchy, but since it comes up high enough, it doesn't cut in.
The colourway is just beautiful! It's a very pretty dark green shade, which goes really well with the leafy embroidery.

Now I just hope it lasts, cause I heard some Bravissimo bras tend to fall apart quickly...

There's just enough room in the cup for my breasts. If I were only a little more FOT, I would have four boobs (which probably makes this a no-no that one week of the month when I'm fuller). Only extremely deep breaths and/or pushing my shoulders back as far as they go makes the seam cut in on top. The style is similar to Freya's unpadded plunges, but with a higher gore and a taller cup, which I'm guessing is what makes this bra not cut across my breasts like those Freyas do. It gives a similar shape, but more upfront and uplifted. The cups are wider than ... I like, but not shallow, and I'm glad to say this bra seems to work just fine.

The solid beige on the band, straps and base colour of the cups is a light vanilla toffee, which is a perfect skintone colour on me. I simply adore the palette of this bra; the soft browns and lilacs, with contrasting aqua and green lines in the pattern, and a darker brown for the embroidery on the upper cup. The look of this bra reminds me of the design on many shortbread biscuit tins or boxes of Scottish fudge, and I love anything that reminds me of things I can eat, especially cakes, biscuits and sweets. Because I love those things. C'mon, who doesn't?

  18. Melrose Bra (SB25)

    32HH

    Didn't fit

This bra was the second (fairly correctly fitting) bra I ever bought. At the time I was fitted into it I had been fitted as a 32GG in the Panache Tango II balconette in a store quite recently, and still had some tissue at the sides of my ribcage from wearing the incorrect size since high school. I'm mentioning this because the subsequent tissue migration I experienced over the six months after I bought this bra came to affect how it fit me.

I'll start off by mentioning that it runs pretty tight in the band and cup. I'm definitely lucky that I prefer ... a firmer band, as otherwise this would have been unwearable. The fact that I filled the cups of the 32HH when I'd been sized at 32GG/H is also a testament to how small this is in the cup. I've heard this is the case with a lot of Bravissimo's own brand bras that are cut like this one. If anyone is interested in buying this one I'd probably recommend you go up a band from your normal size and keep the cup letter the same (eg. if you're a 30G, size up to a 32G). It was also rather horrible to break in. I'd worn it a couple of times since buying and made the catastrophic mistake of wearing it on a 20+ hour flight back to Australia from the UK. I don't think I have ever been so acutely aware of the fact that I was wearing a bra before. The underwires and band felt extremely tight and painful against my ribcage. (Additionally, the wires set off the metal detector at the airport.) I also experienced a lot of digging into my sternum due to the height of the gore. If you want/need a low gore my advice would definitely be to look elsewhere! However, once it was broken in I found the bra much more comfortable.

As far as appearance goes, I had purchased the bra in order to have something close to my skin tone to wear under white work shirts. The beige colourway isn't unattractive - it'd be good for anyone who dislikes yellow-toned beige. I will point out that the top embroidered section looks a lot sheerer in Bravissimo's product photos (especially in the black and the purple fashion colour currently out) than it is in real life. This isn't something to wear under short-sleeved or tank tops either - it does look like a 'lot of bra' once on, and is visible at the underarms any time I wear something lower under there. It also has very thick (but fully adjustable and comfortable) straps. I would call the strap placement on the wider side, although it wasn't a problem for me. For a more utilitarian sort of bra, Bravissimo seems to have put some effort into making it a little more appealing - the detailing they've given it prevents it from looking too frumpy.

Shape and support - this bra loses points in my book as I suspect many, many people would experience shape incompatibilities with it. If you have any kind of top fullness, give this one a miss. The bra has a four-part cup construction, using a side sling. On my fairly bottom-full shape, I get a lifted, natural sort of look - like the shape my boobs are without a bra, only better - but anyone top-full would get the dreaded squished-on-top triangle shape. (I suspect this is the source of the many reviews on Bravissimo's website saying that the bra gives 'pointy sandbag boobs'.) The source of this is the top embroidered section, which is made out of a firm mesh that has no give. I think also that this would be unlikely to work on someone petite or short-waisted - the underwires and also the wings come up fairly high on the sides (I occasionally still feel discomfort from it and I am relatively tall with a longer torso). It is however a very, very supportive bra and great for wearing to work and occasionally uni - I like to wear bras that I can run for the bus in - and looks OK under a t-shirt. I don't tend to wear this with anything super form-fitting though as I prefer to keep my 'round-shape' bras for that.

Final note about the shape - it's pretty wide but looks less east-west from the front than the Tango does (I think this is the four-part cup at work). The wide wires were great for me when I still had tissue at the sides of my ribcage and anything narrow definitely felt too small, but not so much now. My breasts sit almost completely on the front of my ribcage now and there is significant empty space at the side of the cup. Finally, although I've had my issues with it since undergoing shape changes, I'll note that Bravissimo has certainly made a sturdy bra in the Melrose. I was subjecting this to heavy use when it was only one of two or three bras I owned and still wear it occasionally for work, and it still gives the same level of support as when I first purchased it.

Comfortable but too much space at the bottom to be a proper fit, I still wear it a lot but probably won't but the same model again. Gone a bit grey now, but I suppose that's to be expected since I've had it for a while.

  20. Lightly Padded Underwired Strappy Top (OV15)

Nothing too impressive here, bought at sale price as I was curious about it. I usually don't mind having my bra straps showing under strappy tops, as long as they're not hideous or boring (sometimes I even incorporate a bra with a matching/contrasting colour into my outfit, to make it interesting if it does peek out)

Pretty much does what it says on the tin, basically it's a stretchy strappy top with a padded bra inside. The bra itself is nothing special; it's too wide for my root, the band is a little too big/stretchy (ideally I would need a 28 band in this), and the wired gore ends ... about halfway up the cups, just like in the Panache Sports Bra (5021). The bit between the gore and the upper edge of the fabric sometimes folds over itself in a weird way and creates a little pocket between my boobs. Tightening the straps doesn't make a difference, really. The seams in the padding are visible through the top.

The shape it gives is alright. It okay in terms of support; there's lift, but the boobs are left to a natural teardrop type of shape.

Anyway, it's quite comfortable, and is suitable for lounging or casual outings like on the beach and similar places. I wouldn't exactly wear it for work or evenings out when I want to look my best (as in not a slouch), when I have bras that give a much better shape.
