Pretty comfy bra. I have the blue and black Satine, and this one in "nude" fits just a little bit differently than them. The edge cuts into my armpit just a little. But as far as actually functioning like a bra, this does a good job.
The cups were too far apart for my non-separated boobs! I was hoping it would work for me because it is a plunge bra with a more secure top, but my ladies were still falling into the middle.
Also, I didn't fill out the bottom of the cup, so there was wrinkling, and the bottom inch or so of material lay flat against my sternum instead of holding my breast tissue (weird much?!). I don't know what they were thinking because the bottom of the cup is absolutely not deep enough.
The wire height was good, though, and the band was true to size for me. I wish this bra would fit me! It's so pretty. It would probably work for someone with more separation and whose breasts aren't full. Mine are like balloons, so super full...it didn't work out.
Fits really well. The wires do not dig into my ribs under my breasts. The wires might dig slightly into my sternum, but it's only noticeable in certain positions. The tops of the cups are not too loose or too tight--even if I thrust my chest out I don't get quadraboob. Right out of the box I can wear the band on its tightest hooks comfortably, though. I wonder if I should have gone up a band size.
The cups are slightly too big--they're not filled completely at the top. The straps attach to the bra too far to the side--they dig into the side of my armpit. The band can be fastened comfortably on the tightest hooks.
Fastening band on the loosest hooks, there is a noticeable gap between the top of the cup and my breast. Fastening on the tightest hooks (which I can do comfortably) the gap disappears slightly. Both the center gore and the cups at the side/under my arms feel itchy. I wish the center gore wasn't so wide--I think that would help. I also find the shape it gives my breasts to be a bit lumpy, but that might be because the cups are too big and wide.
On the plus side, the underwire feels very comfortable against my ribs under my breasts.
First time wearing it and fastening it on the loosest hooks is a bit too loose--middle hooks are good. The top band of the cups are tight--it digs in slightly. The wires dig into my ribs directly under my breasts (but this is a problem I have with pretty much every unpadded underwire bra). Center gore is flat against my chest, but I can't help feeling that the top of the cups and the wire chord (the distance directly from one wire end to the other), are both slightly too small, or just not the right shape for my breasts.
Sadly, this didn't fit me the way I expected it to. The underwires are too wide for me, making the technically adequate cup width of 26 cm too shallow (there's some depth not being used because of that). I thought the upper half of the cups would have a lot more give but they're pretty rigid. There's too much wrong with the fit so I won't bother trying another size.
I feel as though I should go up a cup size in this particular bra (usually 28G is just right), the band feels a wee bit too tight but only slightly so 28" is the right band size for me in this bra. One more row of eyes would be perfect. The straps are set too wide for me but they don't hurt or chafe severely like they do in some bras.
Not my usual style, the dots and pink lace, but for some weird reason it looks pretty on me. DH was much impressed. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> LOL. I had no success with the Rococo Charm bra, but this one is much better when it comes to Bravissimo half-cups. Pros: - very soft, skin-friendly material => yet it's unstretchy => excellent support - sturdy, tight band - curious cup shape, you lose 2 cupsizes yet look perkily uplifted => not bad, Bravissimo
Cons: - the cup shape is HUGELY wide, the underwires go 3 cm over the center line of my ribcage side to my back! So naturally, there's wrinkling under my arms. But, strangely enough, it does not affect the fit, it's just a visual minus. - the straps are very wide set, so this style is not for the narrow-shouldered, especially in the larger cup sizes
Bravissimo is the other brand in the industry that has managed to do a seriously good plunge for larger cupsizes - and with a plunge I mean the center gore is really low. (The other brand is EM.) The Sweet Medley doesn't let you down, it's consistent with Bravissimo's other plunges in both size and quality. Pros: - a true plunge shape, without the in-your-face-vavoom!-effect you get with EM plunges or Freya Deco in smaller sizes - soft, summery material. Sturdy nonetheless. - broad, soft straps that surprisingly do not ruin the rather delicate look of the bra - really wonderful colour - comes in J-cup - band runs true to size
Cons: - runs 1/2 cupsize small - pays to buy a bigger cup if you're normally on the upper edge of the size - may be stretchy in the band in the long run - remains to be seen
Perfeeeeeeeeeeeeeect. OMG Since I was reading more and more about how a bra should fit, I was sure that my almost new 42FF bras were not fit enough for me. As I realized the band is too loose, I decided to go to the Bravissimo shop and try some bras and different brands to check how they fit, wires, etc. This was the very first I tried (chosen by my husband https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> ) and the better fit: so soft tissue, well constructed, my breasts fill confortably and wires did not hurt being more narrow. I liked the shape it gives to my boobs with ...a sweater on, lifted lifted https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> And I also think this kind of shape is the best for my narrow root, full on bottom breasts. Breast tissue is inside the cup and there is no free space on the bottom of the cup, as happens with my Curvy Kates (I think it's bye-bye for Curvy Kate). I also tried Panache Tango but it's not for me, the same as the Freya Marvel, the shape did not fit well. Now I can understand the feeling when you find a bra that fits https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> And how upliftiing is to change from a 44DD to a 38GG, at least, for me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> Read more 125 more words
Unfortunately this bra was purchased for me, instead of by me, and the strap fit is way off, so I cannot comment on much about it! It is beautiful though, and seems to be top quality!
I am absolutely gutted that this doesn't fit. I love it so much but the cup is just huge on me. It's massive on the top (so big I even had to double check I had the right size). I have full on bottom boobs, so although I filled the bottom fine, the top gaped ridiculously. Ideally, I'd need a 28DD, but the sizing doesn't go that low. Such a shame https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Stunning bra - I never realised I could have natural clevage without padding. Very happy https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Measure approx 28HH; close-set, even (full-on-top/bottom) and round.
Band much tigher; comfortable though Cup’s lace does not cut into breast as much Wires are too wide here and the cup is collapsing on both cups underneath, particularly the left. After adjusting straps, the side seems quite high, though not uncomfortable but where the cup connects to the straps is very uncomfortable because of wide the straps alwaus are so, when I lean forward, they crease and rub against the edge of my arm Had to tighten the straps a lot – not as much as in others – am I short chested Result: Think on it, like the shape it gives, the ...style of the bra and the comfortable band Result 2: Tried it again, and there is significant amount of fabric bunching under the cups which I think is true to how wide the wires are in this 28 band construction and it leaves me tightening up the straps quite tight; the cups runs high and chaf under my arm. Gutted as I love the look of the bra but it isn’t for me.
Review for Alana in White. I measure a 28HH; close-set, round, Full-on-Bottom + Top (Even).
For more detail, see 30HH Black Alana review. Band is too large; quadboobing at the front; gore is narrow and painful; wires too wide; some creasing below the cup and where lace and straps meet is quite painful/cuts into arm.
