I really like this bra, it says "doesn't fit" on here I know but it actually fits pretty well. My sole complaint is that it is a little too large for me in the back. Otherwise it's perfect, one of my first bras that wasn't moulded and I'm a bit of a convert. The shape is pretty good and not pointy or anything. I like the girly pattern and it is very comfortable to wear. I wish it was smaller/they made 26's! Would reccomend this though anyway, it's a great everyday bra.
From the second I put it on- it was horrible. Nothing fit the way it should. The gore kept painfully poking me, so I bent it back a bit. That didn't help. Even after scooping and swooping, wires were sitting on breast tissue, the lace wrinkled, the band was almost uncomfortably tight. It was literally the worst bra experience of my life. It's a shame, because it would've been kinda pretty, if it fit.
This is the second Alana I own, (first one being in mocha) and it's in nude. There seems to be something wrong with the left cup however, there seems to be excess fabric on the top part (and just my luck, lefty is the smaller of the 2) and it wrinkles no matter how much I try to fix it. So far however I haven't had a problem with this while wearing clothes, and since in every other aspect I am happy with it, can't complain.
It's as comfortable as my other alana, the underwires fit nicely and don't dig in anywhere, I absolutely LOVE the colour on this nude since it's a very pale pinkish nude which is excelent for me since I am so pale myself. The band is nice and snug, the way I like it!
I will be eventually purchasing the black version as well, hopefully they won't send me a wonky one too, I mean come on Bravissimo WAKE UP! First the complaints about underwires poking through and now wonky cups?
This is easily the most comfortable bra I own, the only thing I'm sad about is the fact they discontinued the red version because I would KILL for it in my size.
The band is a little stiff and might feel too tight at first, but once you've worn it for a few weeks and it's been broken into it is perfect. The outside fabric is very satin-y and smooth, and I don't have trouble with any lines showing under clothing. The underwire encases my breasts fully and properly and I rarely have to do any adjustments during the day.
I love this bra! It's sexy, it's comfy and it brings my breasts front and forward. Pointier than any other bra I have, which I love. The cups are a bit too small though, so I'd need to go up a size. The bands runs a bit tight, but not uncomfortably so--in fact, I rather enjoy it.
Can't believe I've had this bra for over 3 years now, and I think it's my most worn bra. If I want a comfy bra that I don't have to think about during the day, I pick this one.
Over the 3 years it has stretched out a little bit but it's just as wearable now as it was when I first bought it. In fact, it's probably even a little bit more wearable now. The straps did keep falling now but before taking the review pictures I checked the straps and they weren't at the highest they could go - doh! I've fixed that now and the straps haven't fallen down since.
Really, I can't think of any cons for this bra. It does what it's meant to and it looks decent.
This bra was too large in the cups, and too tight in the band. Althougj I measure at this cup size, my breasts are full at the bottom and do not fill the top. There is slight wrinkling of the lacey top but I can live with it for now. The most uncomfortable part is the wings digging into my arm pit, which again is probably due to the cup size being too large for me. The style is probably a better choice for shallow breasts.
I have worn it a few days here and there, and the band hasn't stretched out much. I'll probably need an extender if I decide to keep it.
Terrible terrible incompatibility here! This bra is made for full boobs without any breast tissue in the upper inner quadrant. So I have both quadboob and too much fabric going on at the same time. Extra apex fabric, and extra fabric on top of outer quadrants. So the cups are both too short, and too deep and too wide at the same time.
Also the wings are too low, the gore is too low. Everything with this bra is too low and too projected for me. Which of course is why the cups end up too wide. This bra combined with my 32HH - Tutti Rouge ...ยป Betty Bra (TU103) made me finally conclude I'm full on top. So no plunges for me, and certainly no Bravissimo plunges https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />
Also the fabric; seriously this bra has the most scratchy lace that has evur touched my boobs. I had to rip it off 2 minutes after taking the pics. But maybe it is because of the cutting in so I might be unfair to it.
The bra in itself is drop dead gorgeous with pink embroderied flowers on a bright light apple green, but it would never fit me in whatever size I tried it in without very heavy alterations so I'm not keeping this bra.
Stuffed measurements branarchist method: Cup depth 32 cm Projection 11 cm Width 16.5 cm Cup height 16 cm
Measurements in the usual way: Cup depth measured loosely is 33 cm, but it stretches to 36 or even close to 37. Wires are wide indeed with 17.5 cm at the very least between them. Read more 161 more words
Attractive bra, but as the 32G was okay in the band but too small in the cups / wrong shape, I didn't even try this one (30G) on before sending it back.
Pro: gorgeous colors, and the band fit well. Center gore was flat against sternum. Fantastic front projection. Cons: Again, a fitting error on my side, because the cups were too big. A few cup sizes down and I should be good to go.
This is my second try with this bra, the previous being a 32HH, which was too small in the cup. It gave me slight quadraboob, which wasn't notiable under clothes, but unfortunately it was also very uncomfortable to wear for a longer sports session as the encapsulation transmuted into painful squashing. Well, this is a slightly better fit, but I'm still not happy. Pros: - sturdy - very tight band, more like 30 than 32, but on the other hand, the bra stays in place - soft, well-padded straps - keeps breasts in place, the bounce is minimal
Cons: - the adjustable part of the straps is very slippery, you have to tighten them quite often, the more so the harder you run/jump - the underwires are HUGE => a lot of poking => not nice - the shape is very pointy - I'm really not sure if I like the encapsulation thing. For me straightforward compression works better
I didn't realise until measuring, but this runs pretty tight in the band. I've worn it a few times and it still stretches to under 30 inches, so it could be a good one for small 30s. The high central gore isn't the best for my close-set boobs, but it doesn't really sit flat anyway given that the cups are too small. I kept this because it's really pretty, but to be honest it didn't really work when I was a 30JJ, so it definitely doesn't work now I'm a 30KK. It would probably best fit someone who is usually a 30HH/J in Bravissimo's own bras.
The wires are slightly wider than I'd prefer, and the cups are fairly shallow. The main issue I have is how wide set the straps are - they tend to dig a lot on my narrow shoulders. I'd still recommend it to anyone in the size range, as it is STUNNING. I'm pretty heartbroken that it didn't really work for me.
It is a rather comfortable bra for me. Actually it is the first 28G I got and I am happy with it. I used to fall out in the middle in my deco (perhaps due to wearing the wrong size, perhaps the model did not suit me) but this does not happen in Bettie Mae bra. The lace on the edges of the cups sticks out, but it does not show under my black formal shirt. I am not sure I actually like the looks and fabrics visually that much, but since it fit nicely I kept it.
This bra is loooovely, but it was always going to be a longshot for me. My usual size is about a 30KK at the moment, and as expected, it's too small in the cup. I also found it to run surprisingly tight in the band for a 30, stretching to about 28 inches, so this bra probably fits more like a 28KK. I'm exchanging it for a 32K in the hopes that it will fit like a standard 30KK, but I would hesitate to recommend sizing up based on just my experience, as other people have found it to be fairly true to size.
I found it to be ...nice and low under the arms, and I had no issues with the strap placement or wire width. If only it was a bit bigger in the cup! It seems like a good bra for anyone actually in the size range, and I can't fault it aesthetically - the retro-esque cherries are perfect. As with most Brav balconettes, it does seem to have an additional layer of lining in the upper section, but it isn't too noticeable in this semi-sheer white. Much better than the weird contrasting linings they sometimes go for. Hopefully the 32K is a better fit! Read more 99 more words
I really like this bra. The straps are padded a bit. I never would have thought I'd be a 28G. Far cry from the 36Cs I was wearing. Very pretty material. My only complaint is that the band is too tight, but I'm sure it'll loosen up in time.
This fits me well on the top, but that's it. It's itchy, the wires are way too short causing side-spillage no matter what size I purchase, and the bottoms wrinkle a bit in this size (they did not in the 28E, but I had quadriboob in that). I was hopeful about this bra because people said it was good for breasts that are fuller on the bottom than the top, but really it hasn't done me any favors. The side-spillage caused aching and I couldn't leave this on for very long.
Very, very firm in the back and unlikely to stretch out. The underwire is a little too narrow for me and digs in a little under the arms; if I were to go up a cup it would be too wrinkly.
On the whole, a very supportive and beautiful bra.
Second Alana! Still in love with it. I wish this one was Iris as well but it's the nude coloured one. This colour is a good match for my skin (pink with blue undertone) in exactly the way that the nude Panache Tango II is not.
Unlike others, I've not had the underwires break through the casing on either one I've owned.
I will continue to buy this style. Especially if they bring out more purples.
If you ever decide to get rid of this, let me know! *.*
