This review is about the original Inspire Sports bra, which was taken out of production due to issues with the straps.
The bra doesn't appear to go high enough to encase all the breast tissue. I tried a larger cup size (34HH) but it looked the same on the top but with extra space at the bottom of the cup. The gore on the bra has never appeared as if it lies flat, but this doesn't seem to be a problem. The bra prevents movement quite effectively for the breast tissue it encases. It is the best sports bra I have ever tried in this regard. The ...top bit of my breast still bounces, though.
The sliders on the bra straps don't hold in place well, which is the reason this bra was removed from the market. (There is supposed to be a new release with the problem solved.)
I find the band a bit looser than other Bravissimo bras like the Fleur and Contour strapless, but similar to the Satine and Rococo Charm. This is my standard size in most bras.
Note: I am writing this review in January, 2013, several months after the bra was purchased. I have given my initial review and fitting comments based on my notes about the fit of the bra near the time of purchase. Since the bra was purchased, my breasts have grown and the bra no longer fits properly. Below are my comments on the current state of the bra:
The bra still fits on the loosest hook. I wear it about once a week. Read more 160 more words
I think that this bra runs one cup size large, as this is one of my typical sizes and it is too large for me.
I think this bra would suit a full on top shape better, although there is some elastic in the lace. I gape a lot in the top, and the gore doesn't lie flat. I also have wrinkles in the bottom because there isn't enough projection in the bottom of the cup for me. The underwire seems about right but I get wrinkles there, too, probably as part of the overall effect of the bra being too large for me.
The shape I get isn't very nice, but the bra doesn't fit me so that's to be expected.
This bra obviously doesn´t fit me well, no matter what size I get https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
At first I got it in 28E (because I read somewhere it runs big in the cups - not true, for me at least...) but the cups were way too small so I got 28F which is my usual size. The problem is that the wires stretch very much and when I´m wearing this bra, the wires are too wide for me. At the top of the cups the seaming is a little tight, and that´s why it cut´s in a little bit. Usually I need quit wide wires ...and shallow cups.
The 28 band feels true to size. Straps are fully adjustable and they don´t stretch much. Note that this is a soft cup bra, it seems like a padded one in some photos!
ETA. It really is the wires that are the problem here. They are the stretchiest I have ever seen! They also seem to be too short for the bra, the wires are only 23,8cm long but there is room for 25cm wires! This bra´s cups just get pulled and distort the minute I put the bra on. I´m planning to change the wires... Read more 97 more words
The underwire cups my breasts comfortably, and the underwires meet beautifully between my breasts and touch my sternum; gore lies flat. Wires do not poke my sternum or under my arms, and I love the wide underwires. Slight wrinkling on the side of the right cup because of the wider underwires, but nothing major. There used to be wrinkles on the side and bottom of the left cup too, but these have disappeared after a few wears (perhaps because left breast is smaller and hence shallower?)
Back band quite comfortable; does not ride up. Front of the bra does not ride up either.
The cup gapes ever so slightly on my smaller left breast, but fit my larger one nicely. The straight cut of this halfcup style suit the shape of my breasts very well (i.e. wide roots, shallow breasts).
The fabric print and embroidery are beautiful - it's a shame the textured surface shows under shirts.
I love Bravissimo's halfcup bras! This bra fits even better than Tanzania Stripe, because there are no wrinkles along the outer edges of the cups. Lovely embroidery (shows up under tops, but I've recently bought some stretch bandeau tops that help hide it). Cups also have a non-itch lining. Gore lies flat, wires don't poke.
Straps are comfortable and easy to adjust. A teeny bit wideset, like with the Tanzania Stripe, but nothing major.
This is the strangest bra I've ever put on. It smashed my boobs and made them look so small! I suppose that would be great if I was looking for a minimizer bra. This bra runs really small. The band is small, but I loved it, super firm and great.
The cups however seem to be at least 2 cup sizes too small. This was just all wrong for me.
This is a very pretty bra, soft and feminine and very comfortable. I measure as a 34HH, and picked this up in 34J from the reviews saying to go up a cup size. It's still just a tad bit too small in the cups but since I'm in the process of losing a fair amount of weight, it's not so small as to return it. I'm sure I'll end up fitting it much better in a couple of weeks. Still, I strongly recommend adding a cup size if you intend to purchase any of the Satine bras, the cups run on the smaller side.
The material is very comfortable ...and soft. It's lightly padded and give a nice natural looking shape. I love the fully adjustable straps too, they're very useful on ladies with a shorter torso like me. I'd say the band runs true to size. I measure at just about 33" on my underbust and the 34 band feels very firm but not uncomfortable.
In all, I really like this bra! It feels very comfy and I feel really supported. Read more 72 more words
This bra is super cute! Too small in the cups for me (I've re-ordered it in a 32J though https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> ). I loved the shape this bra gave me - nice and rounded. Definitely more suited for a balanced or full on top shape.
I got this bra from someone on /r/braswap, it was my first time trying out the Bravissimo brand, and I was so hoping it would fit, as it's absolutely gorgeous! Unfortunately, the cups are 1 size too small, and I was spilling out the top a bit.
This has a great fit for my size, the underband doesn't feel too loose and yet I can still fit the standard 2 fingers under the band.
The cups are pretty much ideal - there is ever so slight cutting into my right breast, which is slightly larger but it doesn't affect comfort. The wires are also just a little too wide, which seems to be a common problem with the 28J size.
The bra fits like a dream in 28J, the centre gore does poke at my sternum a little bit, however this is a problem I have always found with this type of bra so is not unique to this specific model. I will note however that it doesn't poke anywhere near as much as other bras I have worn in this style.
The only other issue with this bra is that the cup is a little too wide in this size - there is some empty cup around the side of the bra (though it does not effect comfort). I also tried on the 28HH in this style and found that the width of the cup on that was perfect, however the cup wasn't deep enough, which meant I had to go up to the 28J
The band for this bra is perfect for me - I also find the width of the cup for this bra to be pretty good
The one and only problem I have with this bra is that in 28J the right cup is not large enough for my larger right breast (so yeah, the bra is too small).
Ideally, I would want this in a 28JJ (which is unavailable) with a little bit of padding to go in the left cup.
I have tried the 30J in this bra, but the band isn't tight enough for me and the cups are far too wide
The low center gore doesn't dig in to me and the fabric is very soft. This is by far the most comfortable bra I own, hence why I have it in the Black, Floral, and Kimono colors.
I have a lot of forward projection in my breasts, and the depth of this bra works perfectly for me. The shoulder straps are pretty stretchy and I have them tightened most of the way. I also wear the band on the tightest hook (my underbust is 26.5in).
Even though my bust measures 40.8in, the 28J fits me well. Since a 'J' is the largest the cup goes, I'm thankful for that. It may seem to run small with full on top breasts. Mine are full on bottom and side heavy.
There's a bit of an orange in the glass effect at the bottom of the cups and the shoulder straps are a bit far apart, but besides that, the fit is spot on.
This bra feels amazing and makes my boobs look better than they ever have. Sometimes it is a little bit hard to get everything into it, but I think that's more because I'm new to the whole "Properly fitting bra" thing. So far this bra is the only worn I've worn that really commits to how I've seen that bras are supposed to fit. I never have to adjust it at all throughout the day either.
