I was sized into this bra by Lane Bryant, so obviously it was not my size at all. Way too small in the cups, way too big in the band.
The bra got a lot of wear for between 6 and 9 months before I had the sense to try larger cup sizes against the advice of several Lane Bryant sales associates. It held up okay to machine washing, but tugging the cups back on the sides to hold all of my breast tissue has slightly torn the gore away from the underwire channel on the right side over time.
Like all of my Cacique bras, the band stretched significantly ...after the first handful of wears. Like, if it was really tight when I took it home it was falling off of me by the end of the week.
Not a terrible bra, but it isn't really shaped for the women who would fit into it. The wings are too low and allow tissue spillage while the cups are quite narrow. Women who wear a 40 band but have only a DDD chest are simply not going to be able to put all of their side tissue into cups like this. They are situated too narrowly on the very front of the chest.
Due to their consistent low quality materials and poor design I can't at all recommend Cacique bras in general, especially at the prices charged in most stores for them. But, if you happen to like Cacique for some reason, this isn't a terrible bra. Just don't expect it to last you very long unless you are very very gentle with it. Read more 162 more words
I love this bra, I have about 5 of them and I pretty much rotate them everyday. Having said that this is the first bra I bought after I realized that I was wearing the wrong sized bra for the last 10 years so I may feel partial to it because it is the first bra I can remember wearing all day and not "feeling" it at all. Unfortunately, because my left side is about a cup or so smaller, I do have some gaping on that side, not noticeable under clothes because it is a molded cup bra, but I do bulge out of the top on ...my bigger size. I probably need to go up a cup size, but I have 5 bras in this size not realizing that when my breast tissue started to migrate back into place I would go up another size. All in all though, it is very comfy, very stylish, the lace on top does not show through clothes and it while it is a full coverage bra it does not come all the way up to your collar bones. Try it! Well, let me start off with saying that my left breast is about a cup or so smaller than my right breast. That being said, I have only recently seen the light and started buying bras that fit my right breast rather than my left. I usually buy an F cup in Lane Bryant bras (I really should buy a G but the gaping on my small side always stops me) but this bra doesn't go that large so I went down a cup and up a band size. Well, the cup is too small on my larger side and I am falling out in the front and the underwire is poking me in the side and on my smaller side I have some gaping (of course). All in all, I look like I have 3 breasts instead of two. One on each side and one in the middle (due to the fact that I am falling bulging out in the middle). I guess if I could order it in a size larger I could at least stop bulging.
The band was nicely snug and the cups fit true to size (though this isn't my proper size so it didn't fit true to me!), but there is boning just behind the underwires which stabbed me all day long. I'd often have bruises by the end of the day. My underbust is the narrowest part of me - I don't have a smooth line down my side from armpit to waist - so that little bulge of fat was perfectly lined up to get poked and rubbed constantly.
The band has held its elasticity for longer than other bras of the same brand, but it could just be that I wear it a lot less due to the problem with the boning.
This bra was measured after several months of semi-regular wear and machine washing.
good lift and separation, LOW plunge is great for low cut shirts, removable padding, convertible straps. Wore this as I was "transitioning" to realizing my proper size.
Bought this bra to use in lieu of a strapless because the straps are detachable from the back and can be easily tucked/hidden from the front. Worn a handful of times in the period before finding out that I was wearing grossly improperly sized bras. Provides a nice shape and lift.
Comfortable every day bra. If I loosen them to where the bra doesn't poke under my arms, they are too loose. If I tighten then appropriately, the bra pokes under my arms. It has stretched some in the short time I've owned it, but I wear it pretty much every day.
For such an off-size, the fit was not too bad. I bought this for an event before I knew my true size (38H or HH UK, so 38K or L in US). It fits fairly well on my smaller boob (I didn't do much scooping though), but I get a ton of cutting-in on my larger side. The bra itself does not give enough support for my boobs, which makes sense. It's molded, so the shape is fairly consistent and round. The band is strong enough and supportive with 4 hooks. The fabric is smooth and soft. This would be a great bra if I could get it in my size!
It's the same fit as the other cacique plunges, but has sparkly lining on the front. The insides of the cups is a satiny material. I believe this was a special edition plunge for Christmas only.
A very attractive bra, but not something for daily wear! The thin straps at the front can dig into the shoulders, and they are only partially adjustable because there are only "normal" straps for less than half their length.
While I don't have time to write a comprehensive review of this bra at the moment, I think the most important thing I want to talk about with this bra is that the center gore stretched out a lot with only a few days of wear on them-- and when the black cotton stretched, the color faded. I consider this bra unwearable, and it pretty much sits in my bra drawer untouched to this day.
When I first tried on this bra in September I was amazed with the fit. It was the first bra I ever tried on where the gore laid flat against my chest. The bra is a very soft full-coverage t-shirt bra.
However, after a few months I have realized some issues.
1) The gore no longer sits completely flat up against my chest all day. While the bottom of the gore does sit flat, the top begins to shift. 2) Throughout the day I have to keep swooping-and-scooping, to which I then quad-boob. 3) My breast does not sit fully at the bottom of the bra. Think 'orange-in-a-glass effect'.
While this bra is wearable, I am looking forward to saving money to buy another bra.
Worked pretty good new, but after a while it got too stretchy. The wires poked my arms too. Also, the tops of the cups curled outward and it makes it look terrible under a loose shirt.
I've worn the Cacique demi as a 40C for years only to find I'm a 40F. I wish their size range was larger (extended higher than a DD) because this is a fair quality, cheap, comfortable demi bra (perfect for my full on the bottom breasts with no worry about not being able to fill the top of a cup). I tried to size up the band to get into a smaller cup, and it just didn't work.
