This type bra has been great for my full on bottom breasts. The underwires don't dig in and I still have ample cleavage. It does stretch a little with use, so it might be more suited for someone with a 38" - 40" underbust measurement.
I really loved this bra before I realized that I had migrated tissue and started looking for new sizes. It fit perfectly before scooping - flat against the sternum, tight enough in the band, low wires under the armpit and in the gore, and it was really pretty. The lace didn't show under clothes, but I felt like I was wearing something special. I still wear it, but I can't scoop without overflowing the cups and pushing out the gore. I need to try it again in 40 band and larger cups (H maybe). It is much less coverage than the Elomi bras I've tried, so if you want underarm/side coverage, this isn't for you.
I have had this bra since 2009 but have rarely worn it since I'm the kind of woman who changes sizes on a monthly basis. Rarely, however, have I gotten small enough to fit this bra. It says 38DD as the label, I've measured and remeasured my rib cage, and this band will BARELY stretch to a 37 rib cage. The pros are the center is close enough for my close breasts, the wire is not too high for my breasts, and for once, the straps are not constantly sliding off my sloping shoulders. My left breast is the large of the two and I think it fills ...it out satisfactorily in the cup, but there is just about a finger of extra space in the top left corner. It pinches my side boob a bit on the left side. On my right side it's about perfect in between the underwire but there's far too much space in the top half of the cup.
The bra feels nice and sturdy with four hooks, but as I said the band is a little tight but I wish it would push me up better, as I feel like I look too flat chested in this bra thanks to my shallow top half.
Over all, as I've found in other Cacique bras, go up a band size and down a cup size to have a better fit. In other bras I might try a 38DDD. I've been wearing 40DDs and lately my ribs have shrunk to the point where I need that brand's 38, but that is not the case with Cacique apparently. It just happened to be the only 38 band that I had around, and unfortunately I have no money to buy a properly fitting bra at the moment. Read more 191 more words
I like the look of the bra, and this is the first bra I've found where the center gore actually tacks down all the way. However, when I look down, it seems my boobs look a little lopsided. Also, the cup comes up too high under my arms which is uncomfortable. I will get used to it, but it's not my holy grail bra.
This bra was fun, giving lots of "uplifting" support and a cute design. Pretty sturdy! Cut into my shoulders and gore didn't lay flat, but that was my own fault. However, Cacique has changed the materials/design of this bra within the past 9mos to year, and it is no longer as sturdy, or of as high a quality. Went to buy a second one, and had to return it. Disappointing!
This bra is a plunge bra. The band is a bit tight for me, even though my chest is 37 and this is marked as a 40. That is usual from a Cacique bra. It is very smoothing in the back because of the mesh fabric they use on the sides and back. Everything else on the bra is great. I'm bottom heavy and this bra pushes the girls together and doesn't have any gap in the top of the cup. That's more than can be said for most bras I've had.
This was one of my first purchase from Lane Bryant when my re-weight gain 38DDs fell apart beyond being wearable or salvageable. It felt like an okay fit and was smooth under tshirts, but it was definitely not my actual size in hindsight and did nothing for my breasts. In the right size I'm sure it would suit someone very well.
The cup are smooth and don't show under clothes; even at several sizes too small I'm able to wear this bra without quad boob lines under a shirt. The band, as with all Cacique bras, stretched almost immediately with wear but then stayed steady at a bit looser ...than I would expect for a band with this size. Of all my bras from Lane Bryant that were not the right size for me, this one held up the best. It's probably still not worth what Lane Bryant charges for it - you can find way better quality with Freya , Panache , Fantasie and many others - but if you can find one used or on sale then it can be a solid staple. This bra was not my size. I don't have much to say about it outside of what I already said about this bra in the 42DD size: band runs firm, cups are narrow, and in the right size you may have problems if your tissue extends to your collarbone.
This bra was one of the early purchases when I was trying to sort out my bra size. It was way too small in the cups and narrow in the underwires, which I didn't understand when I bought it, but it hash eld up pretty well and gave a decent shape under clothes despite not fitting properly.
The cups come up pretty high and will require some upper fullness to fill. I think anyone with a shallowish upper breast shape (tissue extending to the collarbones) might have a little trouble with this bra cutting in in the proper size, but because I wore it several sizes too small my breasts forced the cups to buckle over which left them significantly more open on the top.
The band is firm for a 42, but is still too big for me.
I've owned this bra in a couple of sizes and, even though the sizes were all too small for me even when I was wearing them regularly, they were pretty comfy! The underwires are padded quite a bit which makes it feel like your boobs are sitting on clouds.
I don't know really what breast shape this bra best suits, but I don't imagine that it would work all that well for someone who lacked upper fullness.
This bra is okay. The good thing about it, is that is smooths your sides and back. The annoying thing about is that the straps never stay adjusted. The straps fall after wearing it for an hour or so. Another thing to watch out for is the wire breaking. Every Cacique bra that I have owned has had the wire snap after a year.
Pretty bra. Underwire, molded cup, banded (I think), thicker straps, 4-hook closure in the sizes I tried. The lace is an overlay that stretches over everything smoothly so is only attached at the detail piping along the edges. Quality seemed decent, but I only had them on in the fitting room.
I tried it in 38H, 38G, 38F at the same time.
For me and my short boobs: The H wire was the best. G was barely okay. F was too narrow. The G cup was the best. F was insta-quad/side-boob. H way too tall. The F straps were the best. The G/H straps were way too wideset. All were too big in the band. All did not fit me with their molded cups.
I would love to try this in a 36H, but 36 is only made in C-DDD cup, according to the Cacique website.

Not sure on a review. I think if you need a 40 band, it's probably a decent bra. It's actually not that uncomfortable to me, it's just so far from the right size it's not funny.
I purchased this bra before understanding my real size, and adored the low cut and the lace band. Unfortunately it wasn't all that comfortable just because of how small it was for me. I was constantly spilling out of it all over the place, which is understandable to me now that I know it was four cups too small and on a band two sizes too big.
The cups are molded and the material is very nice and soft. The straps actually detach in the back and can be reattached to any of several loops along the band to make them narrower or wider set. This was awesome for ...my narrow shoulders and I knew another person who clipped the two straps together behind her neck to make a halter style out of it.
I don't think that the cup shape is very accommodating or natural; it's very spherical and angular while the gore is quite small and concerning. The design of the cups all around is sort of cartoonish and idealistic; nobody has boobs shaped like this especially in this size. But if you have soft breasts it can work okay and it might be a close fit for someone with very firm round breasts as well. The wire width, though, would be problematic for most plus size women as there's almost no way side tissue would be scoopable into cups proportioned like this.
The lace on the band is atop a beige mesh which makes it much stronger than it looks while still having a sexy faux-transparency.
I had to go down a cup size for this Cacique Smooth Boost Plunge bra because my breasts fit differently than in their regular plunge. (I'm a 42C in their nonpush-up plunge) I thought it was a cute pattern. It is not as comfortable as my other bras, most likely because it's a pushup. I don't get the cleavage I want, but I'm used to that because my boobs are wide set. I think I can put a pad on the sides and maybe I could get more cleavage...
