This is a UK 34F (with a super stretchy band) and when I took the pics my 'abtf' measurement was 34G/GG so I felt all the fit issues you see are due to sizing. Now 2 months later after some weight loss my abtf size is 32GG. It still has the same fit issues - band too loose, cups quadding, insufficient immediate projection, and some east/west business at the apex. I also have this in Black and took a bunch more pictures. https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dnfn7/
The band is a bit long on the loosest hook, possibly because as a French brand, the size is 80E. The straps can be hooked together at the back to form a racerback and making the band fit tighter.
I really love the look of this bra, it is so pretty! Unfortunately it was not a good fit for me. I bought it in a size that I thought would work for me at the time, 32H, but that was definitely a mistake. It has all my most common fit issues: floating gore/gore sitting on breast tissue, wide wires that wrap around almost to my shoulder blades, too wide straps, shallow cups. I'm sure some of these issues could be resolved by having the correct size, but I think this bra is a wide-wire/shallow-cup fit in any size.
I would say it’s a good bra. Initially when I tried it felt like it fit but I realise now that it doesn’t match my shape. The underwire sits below my IMF and so it hurts when I sit down. I never wore it. Unfortunately I removed the price tag (the sewn in tags are still intact though), and also washed it, and hence I can’t return it.
I love this bra! It fits well, it's very comfortable and even a little bit fancy. But unfortunately I think I've sized out of it. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Love the look of this bra, is just a shape mismatch for me. Band is comfy but a bit too loose. Wires and cups are too tall, wrinkles on my smaller side. Wires and cups are way WAY To wide.
This almost fits me. The gore is sitting on top of breast tissue, b/c of being close-set, but it might be comfortable anyway. It has a tiny amount of wrinkling on top. The color, though....too close to orange for me. I thought it would be closer to pink, since it's called desert rose.
I’ve had this bra for ages... 4 years, maybe? I honestly don’t even remember. So my measurements for it may be above the average for this size, but the band has always been very stretchy. You will probably want to size down in the band and up in the cup. (I believe when I bought this one, I ended up buying my normal size but wasn’t wearing it on the loosest hook.)
This style is more narrow in the wire than my Chantelle Parisian Allure Lace Plunge Bra (2231) so it’s a good choice if you have a more narrow breast root. It follows my shape better ...behind the breast and doesn’t sit back too far under the arm. The gore is a little wider than what I need, but it’s not uncomfortable. It touches breast tissue, but it tacks, too.
This is a pretty bra that lasts for a long time, and it creates a natural, rounded shape. The lace is smooth under most clothing. The top part of the cup has a little stretch, which is great if you have soft tissue, breasts that fluctuate in size, or one breast that is larger than the other.
I can currently wear the 75H on the tightest hook or my old 70H on the medium hook, although I think a 70I would actually be perfect for me right now, except that I don’t think this bra is available in 70I. Read more 133 more words
The band is VERY stretchy. My measurements for this bra are probably bigger than the average because I’ve had it for a couple of years, but the band was always stretchy. Definitely size down one band size.
Once you get the sizing right, this is a comfortable everyday bra, and it’s pretty. The gore is a little bit wider than what I need, but it’s not uncomfortable. The straps are fully adjustable so they feel more relaxed than styles where the front of the strap is firm. The cup is not firm but does give decent support and create a natural, rounded shape.
The cups are more narrow in this Rive Gauche bra than in the 75H - Chantelle » Parisian Allure Lace Plunge Bra (2231) so it’s a good choice if you have a more narrow breast shape and want something appropriate for daily wear.
This is a good option for racerback tops because it has a J-Hook on the back.
The cups are a little too wide for me (the wire is farther back on my side than I need it); however, they’re comfortable. Same thing with the gore — one wire is technically on breast tissue and not flat on the sternum, but the middle of the gore is flat, and the gore as a whole is comfortable. (I added pictures of the side and the gore.) I’m not getting as much forward projection as I get from some other styles, and it’s not a perfect fit, but it works well ...for dresses or tops where regular straps would be visible, or if I want a little less bust out front.
The fabric is lightweight, especially the top section of the cup. It’s really pretty and feels decent in hot weather. The top part has a little stretch. The lace is more smooth/less visible under a top than the Chantelle Rive Gauche 3 Part Cup (3281), and the band here runs true to size (whereas I’ve sized down in the Rive Gauche).
Overall this is a nice bra. Just be aware that it won’t be 100% correct if you’re close-set/narrow, but you’ll probably be comfortable anyway. Read more 107 more words
Absolutely one of my favorite bras. Lace does show through under some shirts, but overall rarely an issue. Comfort is superior, I love the lift at the bottom of the cup keep my breast tissue way from my body, and how forward-facing the tissue is in the cup. It's one of my favorite bras for summer, as it keeps me cool and dry.
This is the most comfortable fitting bra that I own. I do need to go up a band size I think but otherwise, it's comfortable. It is an unlined bra so if you're wide root/shallow like me then this will form to your breasts while still creating a nice round shape due to the underwire. I'm also wideset and the gore sits nicely on my chest. I'm broad shouldered and find that the straps stay put nicely without digging in or falling down. As for the appearance, it's a basic everyday bra. There aren't a lot of bells or whistles with this one. The only downside, like any unlined bra, is that your nipples will show under your clothing. So be aware.
I already tried this in 65D, knowing it was a size smaller than my normal size, and sure enough it was too small. I was finally able to get my hands on my normal size of 65E, and had high hopes since I liked the quality of the bra. However, while this fits, it is unfortunately not flattering on me, as the cups end up giving me a rather flattened shape instead of a round, lifted shape. I guess 2HC/3HC cup constructions are not usually suited for my shape.
The measurements of the cups are very similar to the Fantasie Erica Vertical Seam Bra, another 2HC ...style. However, this is where materials make a difference. Erica is also sheer fabric double lined with mesh, but the outer cups are rigid, therefore giving more support. The swirled lace used on the Pyramide is stretchy, and I found that the cups just did not lift or shape. While Erica's cups give me a softly rounded shape, it doesn't flatten me out as the rigid fabric pushes me up from the bottom of the cup. Pyramide's cups are too stretchy for me, so it ends up flattening the center of the breast and pushing tissue downwards and upwards, giving more of a pancake shape. I'm sure this would be better for firm, round breast shapes.
Other than the shape issue, the cups are comfortable and TTS. The wires have a nice rounded shape and are basically identical to the Fantasie Erica wires, but they have more horizontal flex. This quality is probably also why it flattens me out instead of lifting, as the cups are not as rigid as Erica's.
The band measures quite small on the flat, but like Natori bands, it stretches quite a bit. The wings are made from single layer mesh and both upper and lower edge elastic are quite narrow. The back of the wing is reinforced with an additional panel of mesh to distribute strap tension at the band attachment, and I think having this extra panel is what makes the band feel stable to me instead of flimsy, since usually I hate bands like these that don't have wide, supportive elastic. Both size 65D and 65E only have one hook, which is an odd choice for this size. You can tell that this is not designed as a full figure bra due to the narrow band, narrow straps, and lack of additional support built into the cups. I found the band to fit comfortably and TTS for a 30 since it is so stretchy and lightweight.
The cradle is finished with a crossover detail, and the gore is also very lightweight, being made of mesh with no additional tricot backing. The straps are twinned satin elastic at the front and plain in the back. The straps are not fully adjustable for this reason. The hardware on the Poppy colorway is gold throughout, and there is a small round gold charm at the center gore. The overall appearance of this bra is sleek, modern, and elegant.
I wish this had worked out! It is a lovely bra and so nice and lightweight, perfect for those days when you need a comfortable bra and don't need the world's most supportive band and straps. This may not be designed for much larger cup sizes, but I think this is great for core sizes. Just be warned that if you have soft tissue or average tissue and a shallower shape, this may end up being more minimizing than supportive. Read more 498 more words
Wires are very wide, wider than I need and I have wide roots. The wires are flexible which contributes to them acting wider when worn than measurements would indicate. However I find it comfortable anyway and like that I can tuck my tail of spence in and it stays. My shape is full on bottom/deflated and this helps round me out. The stretchy mesh at the top accomodates my tall roots without cutting in. Band is stretchy, 4 columns of hooks and I am starting it on the second to loosest one. I like that it is super thin and breathable, yet covers my nipples and nipple piercings. ...Lace and seams are pretty flat so do not show under most clothing. There isn't that much projection at the wire since the fabric has some give it's ok. The wires do not sit perfectly in my intramammary fold but close enough. Mine has a minor defect, where the wire on one side is stitched slightly lower than the other, which you can see in the middle where they meet. Nothing consequential but would expect a bit better for the price. Overall this is a really comfortable lightweight daily summer bra for me. Read more 93 more words
