Even though the gore on this bra doesn't seem particularly wide, the cups sit so far apart on me! I like low coverage and get along with some plunges, but this one isn't working. The cups aren't giving me much support, but the band and straps don't offer much for me either. The band is a looser 30 and the straps are a bit stretchy and run longer.
I was hoping for a fit like Natori Feathers, but find this one a bit more difficult. Feathers isn't perfect but I find the cups conform to my shape and are pretty comfortable. In this bra there is empty space at the bottoms of the cups that folds over.
The lace on this bra is so pretty - wish it worked!
This bra is incredibly comfortable and wonderfully @minimizing. It works really well under loose/flowy tops as compared to other bras, which tend to create a shelf of sorts and create a "maternity" look. The only downside is the sizing limit: My 36H fits perfectly in the cup but the band is ever so slightly loose (it stays in place for the most part though). A 34I would be ideal, but it is not available in that size.
It's a nice bra, looks lovely and easy to wear under shirts. The wires are too tall for me and poke at my underarm, especially the side with the slightly smaller boob.
I've tried this bra in 2 different sizes and hated it both times. It's either too big or too small. The cups a rigid around the edges, the band is too thin, and the gore digs into my sternum so hard it hurts. The cups are a nice pointy shape though.
The band is altered. So now the bra fits closer to 30F/28FF ( but for my fuller days it's small). The cups give not perfectly smooth look. I'm not sure if this bra gives enough support for running or jumping. I prefer yoga, and this bra is very comfortable for this kind of activity. I highly appreciate J-hook , as this gives additional security that the straps will stay on their place.
The cups are too tall for my short roots, so the top of the cups are hitting the wrong place and sliding down. Otherwise it would have been a nice fit with good immediate projection at the wires. The fabrics are great for hiding nipples, better than most unlined bras. The band is tight and fits like 28, which is great for me. The straps are scratchy.
First off, I have to give this particular bra a "poor" rating because the left strap was sewn on twisted. I could not give it a "wearable" rating because a twisted strap would drive me crazy!
I LOVE the lace overlay on the cups! Unfortunately, it keeps pulling towards the apex and won't sit flat and causing the quad effect. (However, it's not an issue under the cups themselves. Kinda unusual.) The contour cups themselves are very thin, just enough for modesty. Just lining, no padding. The band is a single layer of mesh with elastic edge, and feels like it would stretch out quickly. The wires ...are a little wide for me, but manageable. Generally feels like it would be a comfortable bra. Overall, just a little too shallow for me. The straps are flocked on the underside and are soft. The top is very shiny. This color "Nude Blush" is basically a soft peach; a nice change from boring Nude! Bottom line as for fit, I think if I went the next cup size up then the wires would be too wide for me. As of yet, there is no data on Bratabase for that size. Read more 89 more words
Tempted to hang on to this bra, but it's just kind of middle of the road.
I think it gives a more rounded shape than many of my wireless bras, but there's also more empty space in the cups as I move around while still being too closed on top. The shape just isn't great for me.
The band is a bit looser or more of a true 32 than I'm used to. The straps are stretchy and longer but fully adjustable. They convert to racerback with a j-hook, but that's hard to do when you have to tighten the straps all the way to the tops of your shoulders!
Overall a good fit, but without much margin for expansion in the cups. The band is made of a comfortable smooth fabric and is quite stretchy. I am wearing it on the tightest hook to allow room for my ribcage to expand during my pregnancy. The center gore is lower than most bras and sits against my sternum, but I do feel some pressure there. Gives a nice uplifted shape that isn't too pointy or spherical.
Edit: After wearing for a few hours at home, I decided the cups were in fact too small for me. They do cut into the top of my breasts giving some quadboob, especially when I scoop and swoop. I returned this bra.
I love this bra. The cup fits perfectly and the lace trim doesn't show up at all even under tissue-thin shirts. It's comfortable, pretty, and true to size. I only wish it was available in 28 bands. It's tight enough for me on the tightest hook but I'll have to take it in once it stretches. Still, I absolutely love it and am considering buying more.
Edit: The band was really easy to alter even without a sewing machine. Currently one of my favourite bras. Forgot to mention though, I do have to occasionally adjust the centre gore throughout the day to get it off my breast tissue, since the ...cups are a little too far apart. This is a problem with most of my bras.
Edit 2: December 2015, band has stretched again. I'm going to have to alter it again soon. I might also end up selling it though, because I'm noticing quadboob whenever I wear it... maybe I need a 30D?
Edit 3: Gave this to a friend after she lost some weight due to anorexia and none of her bras fitted her anymore. She gave it back when she recovered. Read more 82 more words
The band is definitely too big, but the cups are good for me. I've bought it just because of a good price and my sewing skills. I'm going to shorten the band. This bra is really very similar to the Panache underwired sports bra. But I could not buy Panache because of the size issue: 28ff was too tight for me and 30f was too loose.
This bra has molded cups made of a single layer of sturdy fabric. It has side boning as well. The colour is closer to a taupe than a beige. Especially if compared to other beige bras which tend to be more on the yellowish side, this tone will probably suit skin tones which, like me, find the yellowish beige to be unflattering. The band is very angled, you can see this when the bra is lying flat, the band tends to go downwards. This will probably fit well for those who have a very V-shaped torso, less so on a more straight torso. The materials seem to be very good quality, as is to be expected from Chantelle. Since the bra is not for me, I cannot judge the comfort or fit.
Band is one size too large compared to my normal 32 band. Lousy elastic band at top of cup cuts into breast tissue. Good for FOB. I would try a band size smaller/1cup bigger, but this bra doesn't come in a 30 band https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Extremely comfortable, however, it's not the most supportive bra. The wire is kind of flimsy. I don't wear it for a long time, I mostly save it for lounging around.
This sbra has so far been the most comfortable bra i've tried on. It doesn't cut into my tail of spence like most bras do. The downside is that I can't fill the top of the cups, and it gives me a pointy shape, and I'm unsure if it's a matter of needing a smaller cupsize or a different shape.
The invisble lace along the cup edges & the little dots along the double straps are all clever additions to an everyday t-shirt bra! I so badly wanted it to work, & I even eyed it for years, but the fit is underwhelming.
The band is too loose & the cups lack the immediate/center projection that I need to feel properly supported. The quality of the bra seems sturdy, but Chantelle's inconsistent sizing is driving me nuts & I think I'm going to steer clear from this brand for a while. I have the c-paris in the same size, and the cups are much deeper and wider than the rive gauche!
This is my best fitting bra at the moment! It's definitely not perfect, but a step in the right direction.
Like all Chantelle bras, the band runs way too big. You could safely go down a band size and be happy. On the last set of hooks it's still riding up my back (although I am beginning to realize that 32 bands in general are too big for me, so my advice may be invalid). The cups run pretty high, hitting my armpit almost uncomfortably. The gore is also way too wide for me, sitting on the tissue of my bigger breast. The wires also slide down my ribs during the day, which is really annoying and uncomfortable!
All in all, the bra isn't terrible, but I have since found a much better fit in others.
Agree!! Everything you've said is why it's not working for me either. It fit ok for like 5 minutes and then you start to notice why it's not right.
