This bra is gorgeous and well-designed, and looks smooth and natural-yet-supported beneath thin tops. The spacer-foam fabric is super-soft and almost silky, with a matte finish, and has some stretch from side to side but not from top to bottom. The embroidery is reminiscent of feathers or mermaid scales. The embroidered mesh of the gore and wings is non-stretch and double layered, and the gore has an additional reinforcing sheer layer behind the two layers of mesh. The back is a power-net fabric. The straps can convert to crisscross/racerback or halter, and have two position loops on the back band - great for those with narrow shoulders or tops that cut in a little in back. I bought this bra gently used, and the band fits me well on the tightest setting. I adore this bra, but sadly it's a cup size too small for me. I plan to buy it in 34D/75D as soon as I can find one.
Nice cup shape for "average-fit" breasts, or breasts that are more sloping in shape rather than rounded at the top. The shape of the cup is fairly rounded but not perfectly round, and has a slightly more natural shape than many lined demi bras. It looks great beneath fitted tops. The memory foam lining is very thin and soft, and has more stretch from side to side than from top to bottom. The cup seems to run large compared to some other Chantelle demi styles in the sister sizes, like Icone and Vendome; the Icone spacer-foam demi, 3858, is about a size too small in the cup for ...me in 34C/75C, and the Vendome lined demi, 1919, is about half a cup size too small for me in 34C/75C. The Aeria mesh/spacer foam demi, 1296, does fit me in the cup in 34C/75C, although the shape is slightly too rounded at the top of the cup and puckers a little.
The straps are very cute, but they are quite wide-set and do hit my pectoral-muscle area just in front of my underarms when I move my arms forward. This will be great for tops with a wide neckline, but not for everyday wear. The straps are not convertible.
I like the little style details: the square crystal with the logo "C" over a flat rectangular bow on the gore, the flat satin bows on the double straps, the lace on the gore and wings, the top-stitching on the straps and along the upper edges of the bra. They add a sophisticated look without being over-the-top fancy. I also like that the elastic of the band continues along the bottom of the underwires through the gore, which helps to keep the lower cups from being stretched flat by the band when worn (the way it does on some bras on which the band completely ends at the side of the underwire). This is a beautiful bra that won't show beneath fitted clothing. The cups are lined with a very thin, somewhat soft pad which has just a little stretch, and the outer cup fabric is stretchy with a hint of shimmer. The shape is fairly rounded but semi-natural. The upper edge of the cups is elasticized, which will probably make it a good fit for someone with "average-fit" or more sloping breasts, rather than someone whose breasts are rounded at the top. The gore is double-layered non-stretch mesh with contrasting embroidery and a pretty little coordinating marquise-shaped jewel. The wings and back are single-layer non-stretch mesh with embroidery. The ...straps have a non-stretch section at front with embroidered overlay, and an adjustable stretch section at back. There are hooks to convert to crisscross/racerback style. The stretch sections can also be unclipped from the bra completely so the non-stretch front sections can be connected behind the neck, halter style, but they're too short for me to do this. I'm planning to buy this bra in a 34D, because I love the style but this one is too small in the cups for me. Read more 83 more words
Until 5 months ago I was a 42N, now I'm a 42DDD. Still trying to figure out what size/style works with the new girls. I tried on a ton at Nordstrom's, this was the most comfortable (though she did say their 42DDD selection was limited).
I really like how soft this is. I typically wear it with an extender that's got elastic in it. My scars are still tender enough that by itself I get really sore after an hour or so. The elastic gives enough extra give to fix that problem. I'm confident that issue will resolve, I can stop using the extender, and still have a very nice fitting bra.
Overall I really like this, so much in fact, that I bought another.
Sometimes the straps feel like they don't have enough stretch, and in some positions they want to fall down.
I love this bra! It gives a great rounded and natural shape while being extremely feminine in appearance and also very supportive. I felt amazing it in all day long. I highly recommend it to any woman with large, heavy breasts. One of my new favorite bras. I bought the 34g in Chantelle. As a reference I tend to fit great into a 32ff in Freya and Fantasie.
This was my first bra in my "new" size. When I first bought this, it poked into the sides of my breasts really badly, but as my breast tissue moved from the armpit area back into my breast (since it wasn't being squished into a 36C), it became much more comfortable. My breasts have outgrown this bra actually! Now the cups are too small. Anyway, this was an extremely comfy bra that I would recommend, especially if you're trying to migrate breast tissue back to the breast.
I bought this when I was still working out my size, as it was sold at Nordstrom and easier for me to get. It's a good bra, but made for a different breast shape I think, more full on the bottom. The cups are a bit big for me as well. It fit better than the other bras I had at the time (which were far too small) so I kept it. Material of cups is a bit scratchy at the unlined lace part, but wearable. Material of the fabric covering the underwire and elastic bits is very comfy, and that's the part that moves the most anyway. I bet this would be a great nude for someone with dark brown skin.
Utility bra It's not fancy to look at, but my bust looks great in a tight tee. Comes in basic colors all the time & fun colors are released on occasion. The fun colors are great to pick up when they go on sale, the basics don't seem to.
Slightly padded, but it really does mold to my shape, so all I get is a nice perky smooth look.
The double strap is a little weird & I'm not totally sure I like it. When I move I can sometimes hear the two parts rubbing together. Hoping that subsequent washes soften them enough that I can't hear that any more.
I've not worn it a full day yet-so I can't say how it wears long term, but out of all the 40-50 bras I tried on this one was the winner! It's perfect for a lined/molded t-shirt type bra, smooth edges, round uplifted shape, it is not full coverage, but it's not a plunge or cleavage creator either. I was in between cup sizes E & F: F has some gaping at the very top and E has every so slightly spillage. I found this at Nordstrom rack for $27+ so far, it's a keeper.
Good gore height for my narrow chest. Straps fit well and no problems so far. The colour is pretty awful, wish I could get a range of colours and it wasn't so expensive
I purchased this bra a year and a half ago. It has only in the last two months, after much abuse as my only bra for the whole time, started to fit less well. It really hasn't stretched much at all and is a real champ; besides a little pilling it still looks nice too. Really, I ought to have retired it at the year mark.
The gore tacked and is very narrow, about a 1/4 if that of fabric between the wires. I have very heavy breasts and usually I get some sagging, but this bra sat where it was supposed to. The wires are narrower than other bras in this size, and the straps have a horizontal ribbed texture which hold the adjuster in place solidly until you move it.
I'm hoping, now that I have the funds, to expand, but first I'm replacing this solid staple with another just like it.
That it wasa minimizer. It does reduce the profile of breasts quite a lot as well as separate. You will not get cleavage in this bra. It fits very well except for some slightly too wide wires for my shape.
