This is a very pretty shade of purple (reminds me of Johnny Jump Ups in the springtime) with very breathable spacer fabric. The lace along the top edge of the cup is beneath the layer of striped mesh, so it doesn't show under your clothes. It has an extra layer of sling support inside the outer portion of the cup to hold in side tissue. The bandless front is comfortable for a short/petite frame and the band has uniform stretch, so back fat is kept to a minimum. The straps are fully adjustable and soft. However, this bra definitely runs very shallow, and both quadded on the top of the cups while simultaneously did not fill the bottom.
Center gore a little too high. Side wire height good but wires too wide by a small margin. Underwire is very round which is not a good match to my shape. Straps are wide set and some slipping has occurs. Cup height is good for a half cup; nips stay covered. Appreciate modesty lining. Probably not keeping this one.
Gives me a nice rounded shape which I prefer to the shape of the purely moulded (one piece) strapless bras.
I own the black one, which, with the lace, manages to be even a bit sexy, not usual for a strapless bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
This bra is old, and presently my cup size is a bit bigger. The bra has stretched and deformed a bit, though I still keep it as it is my only more or less fitting strapless bra. The measurements are a bit of an estimate.
When I bought it I was probably a true 32D/30DD and it fit mostly OK, though the band was a bit on the large side (I started wearing it on the middle hook, sometimes on the 3rd inner hook). The gore was a bit wide for me, though they almost always are. I have since altered it, but in the measurements I included the original gore size.
The shape is nice, though I now prefer the kind of shape my Cleo Juna gives.
Beautiful bra which fits me very well. Gives a rounded, cakes in a plate shape to my fuller on bottom breasts. Neither markedly shallow nor markedly projected.
Material is firmer than it looks and comfortable. My favourite bra so far!
Band is too big and cups are too small, and even on the smallest setting straps are WAY too long. I would probably really like this bra if they made it in a size that could fit me.
This is another higher quality bra from Chantelle. I hear this model has been discontinued though. Everything about this bra works for me except the wires kind of poke in the armpit area and maybe it's a little bit scratchy, but not too bad. I bought this from momof3 as a bra transfer. Also, I almost forgot. This bra has a pretty embroidery on the cups.
This is another lovely 3 part bra that I picked up for a great price on eBay. Alas I'm finding a trend in that all of these deal bras seem to be discontinued! Suffice it to say this is an interesting pattern and color and a nice fit.
Sadly, this bra was not a winner for me. I loved the elastic upper pole fit, enjoyed the band support with 3 hooks, and the overall comfort. Even the straps were top notch. Unfortunately I could not get past the center gore height which is just too tall for me to be comfortable. If it weren't for that ONE shortcoming this bra would be my everyday go-to. A digging, bruising center gore is unfortunately a dealbreaker for me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Since i lost weight, this is the first bra that fits properly. It is super comfortable, light weight, thin but you can perfectly wear it with thin t shirts, as it gives enough coverage. Love it as an everyday bra. The band runs a tiny bit on the smaller side, which is great for me, as I prefer a 30 band. The lace is not itchy at all, and really beautiful. Really high quality. As this is my first bra since loosing weight and a few cup sizes I really don't know if the cup is true to size, I will update when I have more bras to compare this one to. Over all a really wonderful, pretty and elegant bra.
Love the color! Light purple/true periwinkle. The band fits well, with very supportive flat outer lace and inner mesh. The bandless front is great, also makes the gore shorter. Great for close-set breasts! The straps are kicked in a little in the front, but even more so in the back; a wonderful feature for narrow shoulders. Unfortunately for me, the underwire and/or cup is too long/shallow and I don't fill out the bottom of the cup. It sits on my ribcage instead. If you are FoT and shallow, this would be a great bra for you. But not for me.
This bra is super comfortable, but doesn't fit the criteria I had when buying it; namely a nude bra that I could wear under a white button-down. The lace is very textured and shows up under fabric that is too thin or slightly sheer. It is, however, a great full-coverage bra for full busts. Definitely not something you could wear under a tank or a dress, but I can run to the bus without worrying that I'll have to subtly put an entire boob back into the cup, or hike my straps all the way back up my arms once I get there. I've had it about six months and worn it about a dozen times (I don't usually wear a bra) whenever I need something comfortable but classy under a dress shirt or something. Not the cutest bra, but it does the job.
I decided to try Chantelle on a whim. I found this bra for a great price on Ebay and took a chance. I wasn't sure how Chantelle sizing works so I gambled on a EU70G (tag also indicates a UK 32F).
On the loosest hooks, the 70/32 band feels a bit lose. It is still supportive as this size has 3 hooks. Strap placement is excellent - wide enough to stay invisible under most tops and no rubbing at the armpit.
Onto the cups! The gore on this bra is very tall as are the cups in general (this bra is definitely full coverage!). The wires feel very ...firm and run high under the arm - there is no extra wire channel on this bra. If you have wide-set breasts or extra underarm tissue, this bra should do an excellent job of keeping that tissue in the cups.
The cups on this bra also appear to run a bit shallow. I have empty space along the bottom portion of the cups (orange in a glass effect) and there is also wrinkling from the lack of projection at the wire. The lack of projection + slightly looser band causes the bra to slip out of my IMF even without activity.
While this bra isn't suited for me, I love the construction and look of the bra. I've ordered the C Chic plunge as I think that bra would be better for me - the Rive Gauche is just too much bra for someone with my smaller bust size. Read more 151 more words
Band too loose and straps don't tighten/shorten enough for me. I think Chantelle bands run a bit large. Top of cup gapes a tiny bit on my smaller breast if I bend over or slouch my shoulders forward, but I still like to wear it. It's a pretty bra - simple, elegant, and well-made.
This is the prettiest bra I own, and I can't even wear it -__- The wires are narrow. The floral detailing is aligned perfectly to cover my nipples. The area of the cup that is sheer is kind of cream colored. There's a cute bow on the gore, and where the straps meet the cups. There are 4 columns of hooks (always nice). This bra is overall very comfortable, but the cups are just too small for me. It flattens my shape and gives me crazy quadboob. I think I'd need about two cup sizes larger. I bought this ...at a boutique, and I regret spending so much on a bra I can't really wear. It's been untouched since around September https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> This bra retails for $88 (I think it was $91 at the store). I bought it for about $70 because it has a minor blemish (shown in photo). One of the cream colored threads from the inside was sewn onto the front of the top black edge of the cup. My mom sewed a darker thread on top of it and now it blends in. This is the only reason I marked the quality as good rather than excellent. It is high quality overall. I'm really hoping to get some of my money back, and give this pretty bra to someone who can enjoy it.
This is a surprisingly pretty everyday bra. It works great as a nude with my pale, slightly yellowish complexion. The small sparkly trinket and the pleated straps make for stylish details, and the fabric and lace are high quality and soft.
The bra gives a slightly minimised, natural shape, which is works well under flowy clothes. The gore is supper low, as could be expected from a plunge, and I guess it can be useful if you like deep necklines, but I don't really wear them, so cannot comment on that. The bra certainly doesn't give me any sort of alluring cleavage, but I wasn't after that. The wires ...are comfortable, don't poke anywhere, and sit flush on my chest. The width is perfect for me, but I don't think my roots are particularly narrow, so I'd say that's regular wire width, much like most Panache balconettes.
The band is snug, stretching to almost 28 in. Now, size conversions can be tricky - the band is true to size in the sense of measuring around 65cm when stretched-not-to-its-limits. However, by convention EU 65 translates to UK 30, and by that standard the band runs small. The cups are also a bit small. I'm pretty sure there was a ribbon running along the edge, and I took it stop the cup from cutting into the tissue. It seems to have fixed most of my issues, although if I breath in deeply of keep my back unnaturally straight, I do get some quadboob. I also have a small problem with the horizontal seam cutting into the tissue on my bigger breast, but it's not noticeable under clothing. I'd be glad to try on a 65G when I get a chance, but I'm happy enough with 65F. Read more 183 more words
It seems to fit well but maybe the band is over stretched? It always hurts my ribs to wear this bra, yet everything seems to be in the right place. Fabric is a little scratchy and definitely shows under shirts but it looks pretty.
