Since I love my Chantelle Rive Gauche 3 part cup so very much when I saw it's t-shirt style counterpart in my size and despite disliking this type of bra in most cases, I ordered it. The band is extremely firm, and I know that since I've only owned it (had in actual possession) for a mere couple of hours and have tried it on, I need to wash it prior to attempting to wear this bra to get rid of whatever fabric treatment was applied because, itchy.
I'm ok with style's the full coverage, it will make a good work or spending time with the anti-nipple twins (mom and aunt) bra option. The soft silky fabric over the foam is lovely -with a wash and some wears, the slightly unwieldy foam part should mold to my boobs. It creates a very natural silhouette and I think that if I didn't have evenly full boobs it would give an east-west look. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase.
First of all, this bra is beautiful, which I think is difficult to find in larger cup sizes. Material seems nice, but the mesh band seems like it might be a bit too stretchy. I also have this in a 32 band, which has 2 hook closures and thicker straps. This has only 1 hook closure, which seems kind of ridiculous! Not enough support.
My chest just grew, so I'm still trying to figure out my correct size. If I scoop and swoop, my nipples pop out the top of the cup. Also, the underwire doesn't come high enough at the sides. This is may be due to my ordering the wrong size, though.
Beautiful straps with the embroidery on them. Gorgeous bra. Slightly large in the cup, made for an average heighted root. Gore didn't tack, and in the bra my boobs splayed east west.
This is a great quality bra that's still in great condition. I wish I could fit into it better, but I only got a few uses out of it. It's secure, but the cups are a little too big for me. Since the cups are more formed than loose, wearing it makes my bust feel much larger and inflated. The band fits me around but it's a little tight when on the first clasp- I think if I had worn it longer, it would have loosened with time. The bra is extremely well made and supportive, but just a little too large for my bust.
I've only worn this bra for a full day twice. The first time, by the end of the day I had it on the tightest hook (of 4 sets) and I was sure it was going to come off. The second time, I had it on the second hook and it felt great all day. Very confusing.
The bra is fine. Boring beige, but solid material, silicone on the band to help keep it up, generally good quality. Thicker band with 4 rows of hooks makes it feel more sturdy.
This bra is not ideal for me, but then I haven't found any that are. I have a narrow, tall root, center heaviness, slightly close set (1 finger apart, but I have fat fingers). The cups are fairly empty near my underarms but I spill out a bit at the center, although the gore tacks. The bra fits fine if I don't move much. I'm keeping it because it's very pretty, I am desparately in need of some new bras, & the center spill out isn't very noticeable in clothes, & it's comfortable. It is seems very well made & will do as I continue looking. I'm keeping a number of others that are also not ideal.
I noticed you tried/bought the Chantelle Merci Spacer Bra (1747) in both a 70F and a 70G. I'm wondering how it compares to this bra (3585) in fit and cup size? Are the 70F's in both bras comparable in size? I tried the C Chic spacer bra in the sister size, 65G, and found it to be a surprisingly good fit. I like the look of the Merci better and it's available for much cheaper on eBay than the C Chic. I was hoping you might have thoughts on how the two bras compare, so I know which size to choose (70F or 70G) in the Merci spacer. And thanks in advance for any info you can offer!
I was initially fitted for this bra at Nordstrom and the fitter put me in a 34DDD, and I'm sure a 34 made sense at the time to her cause I just finish eating dinner at a restaurant so I had that full belly bloat going on. Anyway, even still I could easily have worn the 34 on a tigher hook and the next day, when I tried it on again, I realize that indeed a 34 was too big for me. So I ordered a 32DDDD from eBay and figured it would be better. As I type this I'm wearing the bra on the middle hook and ...it's just the right kind of snug.
This bra is really sexy looking. The all black lace and the center bow with the C charm and even the straps have this laddered look to it, not sure what it's called, but it's very beautiful. Unfortunately this is all I like about the bra. It's not comfortable for me. I find the straps and edges of the cup that rub agains my inner arm area to be scratchy. The elastic on the band is also scratchy. The wires in the center gore dig into me, and the bra doesn't stay put. I do have a few theories as to why I think it slips out of my fold.
Firstly, I am soft, full on bottom, pendulous, high roots and average to wide breasted. In order to get this, or any bra, in my fold I have to wear the bra pretty high. On this bra the side of the cup that is attached to the strap is being pressed on by my inner arm and any arm movement. Even if I tighten the straps to help keep the cups in place it would dig into my shoulders and make me more uncomfy, I would end up with some serious chafing with the constant rub a dub dub. So there's that.
The other reason I think this bra doesn't work/doesn't stay put is the shape of the cups. They don't lift my breast. They kind of cradle them just enough so I'm not swinging around. My breast are resting in this bra, and since my tissue is soft, I need a lifting kind of bra that make my girls appear like they aren't just hanging out without nothing to do all day. Does that make sense? Cleo Lily and Lucy and heck, even Ellis lift my boobs and make them look better in general. I realize that those are all balcony styles, but I do have Freyas Pollyanna plunge and I like it better as far as bra comfort feel. And besides, I don't mind a bra that cradles my breast when I'm just hanging around but it can't be bad at its job AND make me want to rip it off. I do need/want a plunge that I could wear come summer time while wearing a v-neck tee, or dress. This, unfortunately isn't it. Read more 397 more words
Overall I like the way the bra fits. The cups are silky and stretchy but still have some slight lining that gives a smooth look. Pluses for looking good under a tshirt, nude but interesting design, and for the 4 row hook which is great.
However, the top part does wrinkle for me so maybe i lack upper fullness. Despite this, I also have underboob fat on both sides. This is possibly migrated tissue or the effect of a minimizer style bra. So for those reasons, it's not perfect.
The first bra I've found that is a multi-part cup that I fill out and is not padded. Love the one hook! It's a tad too deep for me but it's still supportive.
Beautiful tshirt bra best for shallower shapes. Bought new in October, worn about 10 times. Band was a bit loose when purchased, and is now too lose. Tissue migration means I now need a bit more room in the cup. It would be a better fit for a 34E. Note that the cups are memory foam, and while they might crush in e mail, they will smooth out on wearing.
This is a wonderful t-shirt bra for ladies with shallow breasts! The lace at the top of the cup helps to hide the edge of the moulded cup under extra thin shirts. The lace at the bottom of the band has an annoying tendency to roll up, but that's merely a superficial problem. Fantastically functional. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> This bra is a smidge too big for me tho.
I was having issues finding the model of the bra and couldn't get the size right as the one tag was itchy and I cut it out awhile ago.... Ik it's a 32f Love this bra when it fit sad,y it doesn't anymore https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
This is really a hell of a bra. The construction is amazing. But the band is just too big, so it doesn't stay in place and the high gore chafes me and stabs my chest when i bend over. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> et tu, chantelle?! Boy i wish they made this in a 30 band. Maybe if i knew how to alter bands it could work, but my first try is not gonna be on a 90-dollar bra.
