I've had this bra for 7 or 8 months and never reviewed it for Bratabase. I bought this bra on a bra transfer from another user. Anyway, this bra is very comfortable in the band but I really need narrower wires. Even though,it still feels good and gives me a nice shape. A very well made , quality bra.
(Purchased used. No idea where. Seemed like new when I got it.)
Black with black details/lace, silver hardware on straps, black loops/hooks, black center gore bow with a silver/rhinestone detail. It's actually a very pretty bra.
I'd call it a t-shirt-type bra, but it is not molded. The cups feel like there is this tiny layer of foam in it, but the cups themselves have some sheerness if you shine light through it. (See one of the last pictures.)
Chantelle elastic on bands in the U of leotard back. Straps are vertically-pleated ribbon attached to elastic and are fully adjustable (but going over the pleats can be a little annoying). I JUST NOW FIGURED OUT that the straps are convertible to X-back via a really nice won't-come-out real lingerie hardware at the backs. Fantastic!
(More and more I WANT this bra in my real size!!)
Cup lining is really soft. There are side slings in really soft material that you don't even know are there when you're wearing it. (Unlike some slings that do weird constricting things. I'm looking at YOU Parfait By Affinitas.)
Wires seem a little squidgy, but still stiff? I dunno. It's Chantelle.
Two hooks in this size.
Only weirdness in construction is the top of cup/strap attachment. It looks... unfinished? I got this used, so maybe someone took bows off or something. I have no idea and will have no idea until I see a new one in person.
~~~~~~~~~~~ Initial impression:
Can't figure out what size I should try in this.
This one is obviously too big in the band. The cup is... weird. Depth seems okay, but the cups themselves are WAY too tall, practically going over my shoulder. I wonder how far down I'd have to size to have a cup that isn't silly tall. As for the band, I'm sure I'm a 70 in Chantelle now, maybe a 65 in some styles? So, 70H? I guess I could try that.
The cup is very, very comfortable, though. It's padded, I guess, but really flexible? I really want to find this in a size that fits me better so I can figure out if it gives any support or not.
As much as this doesn't fit me, I sometimes wear it on the tightest hooks when I'm wearing looser outer clothing because it does nothing for my shape. It'll get listed after I finally take pictures.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I took pictures. I'm sad this never fit me. I so want this in my size. I'm listing it now. Read more 363 more words
1. Band is comfortable on my 32ish" torso. 2. Cups are ever-so-slightly too small after swooping and scooping (noted by small amount of quad-boob). 3. Gore is nice and low and narrow - this fits well in this area. This is important to me because my breasts are close-set, so higher gores of normal widths cause visible indentations in my cleavage and are super annoying to me. However, I think I need more immediate projection at the center. 4. A little too wide under the arms, initially, but after fiddling with the wires a bit, the new width fits much better. 5. After wearing the bra for a bit, the cups slide down in the front, causing the underwire to dig into my rib cage and then causing quad-boob. I believe this means that I need more immediate projection at the base of the cup.
I got this bra because it was recommended by my Nordstrom fitter and I was desperate for a convertable bra.
Pros: It is comfortable and smooth. It is perfect under halter style tops because of the straps changeability. Would make a great every day bra. Can be used with most shirt styles.
Cons: There is a tiny bit of wrinkling at the bottom of the cups right above the wire. I guess I'm not filling out the bottom even though I am bottom heavy. I also do not like the way the top encases my breast. I like more of a push up, demi style bra where I can see more of the girls. No extra oomph, but gives a nice shape under shirts. It doesn't go strapless.
Overall, I love the fit of this bra. Unfortunately, the wires cut into the center gore a bit, but after a while, it stopped bothering me. After wearing this bar for a couple months, the lacey band has started to stretch.
Have just got this bra and only wore it once but the first impression is perfect. The cups are very compatible with my shape with the wires ending exactly where my tissue does. The straps are fully adjustable and very comfortable, though not extremely wide. The band is slightly wider and has 3 hooks and eyes which makes it very comfortable because of the weight distribution over a larger surface. Last but not least, the appearance is bedroom worthy, which is a big plus for such a comfortable bra.
I ordered this bra online as it looked like a comfortable everyday option, which it is. The bra fits comfortable, though the band is slightly loose (I started it on the middle set of hooks instead of the loosest), no problems with wires being to wide or straps irritating my armpits. The bra has a polkadot velvet all over which can make it bulky when wearing just a tshirt. I usually wear a tank top beneath literally everything and that makes the appearance really smooth.
A good, comfortable everyday bra. Despite the plunge, it feels more like full coverage in my size and shows under everything even remotely low cut. A common problem, I know, but worth warning for.
The lace is comfortable and durable. It doesn't show up except under the tightest and clingiest of clothes. Without clothes I think it's very cute and attractive, but it does cover a lot and separates the breasts. So maybe not the sexiest choice, if that's what you're going for.
This is the only bra I own that I can wear with tank tops. It's not super low cut, but lower than most in these sizes, and doesn't show under clothing. I wear it a lot because of this, and though I wouldn't describe it as a "sexy" bra, it's definitely not unflattering! The pads are enough to keep nipples from showing in the cold, but don't add any size.
It's a soft and comfortable bra, but I think the band feels a little large. It still stays in place, but I wouldn't trust it as a convertible strapless unless I could go down a band size.
I tried this on at Nordstrom Rack today. It was very comfy, but as often happens with me and molded bras, I had extra space between the apex of the bra and my boob. I also didn't fill out the bottom of the cup completely.
This bra doesn't fit me perfectly, but I am keeping it because it is so lovely. There is a combo of wrinkling and cutting in at the top, and the bottom isn't projected enough. The wires and gore are a bit wide. It is pretty stretchy, too, so I don't know how long it will last.
So far this is my best fitting bra. For once, the gore tacks (mostly, it tacks at the bottom, sticks out on the top less than a quarter inch). My biggest complaint is that the wires poke into my armpits a bit. My other concern is that the underwire sits about a quarter to half an inch below the crease on the underside of my boobs. Lastly, the bra stretched out more than most other bras I have had, but I've also worn this one more often than most other bras. Otherwise, this bra fits me just fine. It covers everything (high nipple problem), absolutely no quadboob, straps stay in place, and super comfy.
I really like this bra and wanted it to fit. Unfortunately, I have the same problem with this bra as I do with many other unlined bras. The center gore is too high and digs painfully into my sternum.
The underwire is too wide as well, and my FoB breasts can't fill in the top part of the cups, even though they sit nearly perfectly in the bottom half. I'm not sure going a cup down in this bra would work. The straps don't adjust tight enough, though I could alter that easily.
All in all, this was a good learning experience. I'm figuring out what works and what doesn't, and that's all I really want!
I was sold this by a store because it was the best fit in a strapless I could find. The band is way too big for me and it slides down too much to be usable, so I've never worn it. It's good for full on top or shallow/tall breasts since there isn't a hard line at the top edge that curves inward, like I've found in most strapless bras.
The shape and fit of this bra are perfect, however there are a couple of flaws that will keep me from repurchasing this bra in the future. This bra is very cute and soft, but the band not stretchy enough. I have it on the tightest hook brand new and while it doesn't move around it still feels too loose. It won't last very long. If this bra came in a 28 band size it would be brilliant! The straps are also not fully adjustable. I can adjust it easily to my size, but the double strap detail on the front part is slippery and rub/tangle against each ...other. Annoying more than anything; doesn't really effect fit. The last issue is that the underwire is too flexible. I can feel it pulling wider when I bend over, etc. Which is why the band probably feels too lose. If the underwires were firmer, it would fit more like a 30 band. I will wear this bra until it becomes too lose because it looks nice under T-shirts and I have yet to purchase a nude T-shirt/molded cup bra that fits better than this. Read more 84 more words
