This bra fits me perfectly and is super comfortable. The best fitting bra I have ever put on. My only issue with it is that it gives me a minimized (still very round though) shape that I don't really like. Since this is one of my first good bras I guess I am just still getting used to it, I'm used to my old push up bras. But I'd really like to find a bra that gives me a little more cleavage.
This is a wonderful t-shirt bra for ladies with shallow breasts! The lace at the top of the cup helps to hide the edge of the moulded cup under extra thin shirts. The lace at the bottom of the band has an annoying tendency to roll up, but that's merely a superficial problem.
Close, but 1 cup size too small. I need a 32H. This is not my theoretical ideal bra - I'd like a little more lift, and a smidge more forward projection - but I've worn two of these sturdy bras practically to pieces, and I think that says something. The shape is round and pretty and very unobtrusive under clothes. The lace is flat and doesn't show through. In the correct cup size, the top elastic does not cut into my slightly full-on-top boobs. The cup comes high enough to support softer tissue after BFing 2 kids, but doesn't feel like it comes up to my chin. The beige one is very, well, beige, but the black one is subtly pretty and other colors pop up on ebay. @Chantelle doesn't get much love from full-bust bloggers, but if you fit their (somewhat limited) size range, the @Rive Gauche is worth a look.
This is all together a pretty good bra. I did not get cleavage as I would have liked and believe I'm in between the 30 and 32 band size. The 32 band would have fit on one of the tighter hooks and the 30 band was a little too tight on the loosest for comfort. The fabric seems like it could be a bit itchy and it will show through any tight fitting tees. I initially bought it but decided after trying it on the fit was not good enough for the $68 I paid at nordstroms.
On a separate note the saleslady gave me a molded version of this try on in 32... the band was more stretchy and I clearly needed a 30 but they didn't have one. I have yet to find the model for that one.
This bra is comfortable to wear. Has some 'squeaking' from the underwires which is embarrassing. The straps are split from the top of the shoulder to the cup which makes for a prettier strap but I'm wondering how they will hold up.
I really want to love this bra but it is just too small. I'll try up a band or cup. I seem to have less of a tolerance for tightness than other users on bratabase.
This is a really beautiful bra, the fabric and the lace are gorgeously patterned. It feels very decadent. It's too bad the smallest band size is a 32. It is just a bit too large for me, but I'm sure a 30DD/65E would have been perfect. With the band being a tad too large, the cups weren't being held snugly to my torso, so I found the black trim along the top of the cup created a very visible seam under tee shirts. (And while I might have been able to live with a loose band, I need more t-shirt bras! So that was a deal-breaker for this one.) Though truly that visible seam might be an issue regardless. Shallow-friendly, and the bra gives a nice uplifted and rounded shape. Not quite as rounded of a silhouette as my Cleo Marcie (6831), but almost.
it's the closest to perfect bra I own. It's not good for any low and wide necklines, but for anything else it's pretty good. The lace is visible under thin shirts. It shapes the sides nicely and makes me look thinner than the bras that flatten and widen.
After a long day the wire under my arm pokes in and hurts, but it's the only area with a problem. It doesn't hurt the ribcage under the breasts. Seems more flattering than other Chantelle bras.
While this bra initially fit well, it quickly stretched out, to the point where it is uncomfortably loose. I also experienced some tissue migration after wearing it for a while, so the gore no longer tacks and I quad boob when I scoop and swoop. I also had to get rid of the tag because it was crazy itchy, and the straps refuse to stay up and adjusted properly - I often have to fix them several times a day. The bands are much too wide for my breasts as well.
Really comfortable. My best fitting bra so far! No poking, squishing, it's perfect! Really comfortable, perfect smoothing effect as a T-Shirt bra should have.
The cups on this bra were huge for me. Other Chantelle bras in 70F (32DDD) were too small in the cup, so I sized up when I ordered this online. I have no idea what's going on here. Returning it immediately.
This is my favorite bra at the moment. The shape is rounded, projected and lifted, it is totally comfortable enough to wear all day and it is fine under most t-shirts. I only wish it were a little cheaper. It is a bit stretched out, but it is still serviceable. I've been living in China where it is impossible to find my size so I've been wearing the heck out of it until I can get some replacements.
I absolutely love this bra, but it doesn't fit well anymore. It's very pretty and very comfortable... if it fits.
Pros: So cute! And not tacky or childish feeling! Well made and very comfortable when it fits Good shape Invisible underneath clothing Great for shallow Available for cheapo on ebay Thin straps and only two hooks
Cons: Straps are NOT fully adjustable. Only goes up to DDD/F Straps are rather wide set
I ordered this bra as an exchange for the Chantelle Rive Gauche 3-part Cup. The gore on that bra was too high and separate for me, so I tried this plunge. I really want to like it, but I think that it's just not right for my shape. (Thank you, Bratabase, for teaching me more about what that means!)
If you like a firmer band, this bra has one. Bratabase overall has it listed as "stretchy," but that hasn't been my experience. To me, it feels quite firm and a bit small, so consider sizing up. The straps are tricky to adjust because they are ridge-y, but once they're ...adjusted... they're adjusted. They're also angled in the back so they stay on the shoulders nicely. I *love* the straps, so it's too bad that nothing else about this bra quite works.
The cups are thin, lined, and nicely made, although less soft than the Rive Gauche lace. They feel more synthetic, if that makes sense. The wires (as usual) feel just a bit too low and narrow for me, and the cups look orange-in-a-glass wrinkled at the bottom unless I adjust over and over again. No problems with center spillage or the top edges of the cups, although I rarely have those concerns. The short gore tacks and has a pretty little charm, and while I'd say it's a plain bra overall, the scalloped lace and charm are nice details.
(I'll probably list this bra, so if you adore it and and are looking for a very lightly worn one, contact me and I'll be happy to swap.) Read more 157 more words
It fits flush against the strenum and the band is wide/small enough to fit with a two finger ease. The width of the underwire is a bit of an issue...there's constantly side boob. By the time I got up to this size, the side boob is minimal but it doesn't full wrap the side boob. However, even if it did, I would not purchase this bra.
Why? Because I'm looking for a bra that pulls the breast inward instead of pointing outwards (for a visually minimizing).
This is one of the best quality, most comfortable bras I've ever owned. It's only real problem is that it's not the right size for me - I need a tighter band and a bigger cup, which Chantelle doesn't do.
The band is not very forgiving on this bra. It tends to make a squeaky noise when adjusting. The gore is high, but lays nicely on the skin.
The fabric is soft and lightweight. It gives a nice silhouette under tops, not much of the lace or seams show.
I find that even though the cups/wires and gore are high and the band is tight, it is still a good bra. I thought for sure I would want to burn it within an hour of wear but I have went all day with no real pain or discomfort.
My first Chantelle's bra (and I hope not my last). It was the last of a clearance shop next to my home and I was very happy because it's in my size range and.... surprise... cups is a little to wide for me for one breast... Never mind... i will gain some weight https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> (yes i'm kidding https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />) But i still very happy for this one https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />
This bra looks like a nice, plain t-shirt bra (mine is nude colored), but when I put it on it does nothing flattering for my chest. The cups are too separate for my breasts.
