    Didn't fit

My experiences with the Cleo Lucy are mixed. The fit of the cups differs notably between colors!
So one Lucy may fit you perfectly in a certain color, but even the same size of a different color won't.

I am balanced (neither FoT nor FoB), somewhere between shallow and projected, and have wide roots.

    Here's my review for neon/white:

The bra didn't fit me. The top of the cup was cutting in and the cup was not filled out at the same time.
This means that the bra cannot accomodate upper fulness, and it requires much projection.
It's the wrong shape for me, giving me like an "orange-in-a-glass" effect due to the wrong cut.

Also, the color is called "neon/white" but it's not bright white, but a cream/ivory color shade.

    neon orange colorway

    Didn't fit

I tried my usual cleo size, and this was slightly too big.
The cups were gaping near the center gore.
This might be because a) the cups have too much overall projection that I cannot fill, or b) the cups are too big.
I'm not completely sure whether it's a size or shape issue, since I didn't try the 30DD for comparison.

    Some observations:
    (1) The band is on the snugger side of the Cleos. It's sturdier than in the Cleo Juna (6461) and similar to the unpadded Cleos (Marcie, Lucy, etc.).

    (2) The cups offer a decent amount of projection and wide wires. They run large-ish.

    (3) The cups have one vertical ... seam in the middle (halfcup-style). But,

    (4) cup height is 3/4 or balconette style like and provides more coverage than the Juna or Cleo Maddie Moulded Balconette T-shirt Bra (7201).

    (5) The cups are neither too closed nor very open - just somewhere inbetween.

    (6) The material is stiff, making the bra a little more pointy from the top. It looked good under a T-shirt, even though it didn't fit quite right. The shape is very rounded. Stiffness may disappear with wash and wear. I cannot test this since I'm not keeping the bra.

There is something seriously weird going on between my boobs and this bra. First, if I wear it with the wire properly situated under my boobs, my breasts spill over the top of the cups, which forces the wire to slide lower down (about 2 inches below where my breast tissue begins), leaving the bottom of the cups unfilled and wrinkly. However, if I wear it so that my breasts are fully enclosed in the top of the cups, the wire is sitting on top of my lower breast tissue. No clue what the issue is here. Possibly as a result of this, the wire cuts in painfully ... under the bust, and goes up too high in the armpit so that it pokes and is very uncomfortable.

The straps are way too far apart for me. I have fairly broad shoulders, but if I wear the straps where they seem to sit naturally (on the very edge of my shoulders), they slide off. If I wear them a little more inward (further in from my shoulders), the straps twist and cut in to my flesh, which is pretty painful.

Additionally, the two hooks per column on the band is entirely insufficient for proper support in this size.

Although I like the design of this bra, and the round shape it seems to give, there are just too many fit issues for me to ever consider trying a different size in this model.

This Bravissimo exclusive Cleo by Panache "Karina" in 30FF fits more like 28FF. It's very tight in the band and a little small in the cup.

34% cotton so it's really comfy and cool. Half-adjustable straps. Two rows of hooks and eyes.

    Fits

I absolutely adore this bra, but sadly I seem to be between sizes in terms of cup depth. The 30DD is definitely too small for me - quadboob and too low under the armpit (I tried the Melissa in a 30DD and the Bella is definitely tighter in the cup). The 30E fits like a dream in terms of wire width and wing height, but it's too deep for my shallow boobs - the mesh top section gapes a lot, especially towards the centre of the cups. I also tried the 32DD, and whilst it's definitely shallower and therefore less gapey in the cup, I can fasten ... the band on the tightest hook with comfort, and the band rides up if I bend forward. The band is more generous than models like Melissa - Alexa would be a better example (in fact, the 30E Bella fits me like the 30DD Alexa - which I didn't keep).

I think anyone with shallow boobs is going to find this bra gapes in the top section. However, the shape is so good otherwise (think high and front like Melissa) and the print so divine, that I'm going to keep it.

Edit: a couple of months and some tissue migration later, and this fits perfectly. Hurrah!

This bra works well for shallow breasts, but the cups do run small so order a size up. The straps are very short, so if you have a long torso or low set breasts, this will probably not work for you.

  7. Neve Plunge T-shirt Bra (7196)

Neve is not a Cleo Jude (5846). Let's start with that.
I have no way to remember exactly why Jude didn't fit me to have a comparison to be made, but it made me a guadboob and there was too much empty in the bottom even that I am a bottom-heavy. Neve comes somewhere in the middle of that and a more basic t-shirt bra.

Cups were wide yet really comfortable for my shallowness. Cups weren't too high in the armpit, and the strap position is quite wide (which is what I like, but many might not). Smooth, soft and light.
The band could be even more narrow, but this is already nice and tight.
Simple and effective. Oh, an the coral just got me.

The wires are wider in this cup than the 28DD Marcie, so it goes back a little bit too far for me personally, but it's not uncomfortable, especially because the fabric is thicker along the wire channels.

This is NOT the same shape as the Marcie, I have now determined. It's still not bad for even breasts but it genuinely fits a lot more like the Cleo Meg Balconnet (6751) due to the fabric on the top being firmer and more closed on top.

The wires are a tad wide on me, but not uncomfortably so. It's most noticeable right after I scoop & swoop, but my breast tissue soon "settles" into the sides of the cups. Because of that, I'm going to say that it fits. I initially thought I had a wider root, but this bra has led me to believe that I actually have an average, somewhat narrow root (for reference, the wires on the Freya Deco are perfect on me.) The lace on top is a bit loose, but not enough to warrant sizing down (the 28DD would definitely be too small.) Other than that, the cups fit ... wonderfully, and the gore tacks. The best thing about this bra is how tight the band is. My underbust measurement is about 26-27" and this bra has a wonderfully snug band. One thing I must add is that the gore is a bit uncomfortable. It digs in, but not in a painful way. It just makes my sternum really itchy. I might try bending the gore outwards a bit and see what happens.

The bra itself is gorgeous. I'm not huge on pink, but I love the pastel color and the floral print. I realized after getting this bra that half of my bras are now floral prints... I might have a problem.

    *Size*: runs a size small
I would recommend getting a size up in band in this style. I'm a generic 28E and, after looking at the measurements, I got a 30E offline. Luckily, my intuition was correct and it fits. The darcy runs about a size too small in the cup and band.

*Fit*: perfect for my wide-rooted, pointy boobs
This bra fits my wide-rooted, pointy boobs very well, best out of all the ones I have tried so far. After scooping and swooping, it keeps all my boob in the cups without any shifting, it doesn't gape or quadboob at the top, and it is fill up all the ... way to the underwires. My boobs have a little distance between them in the middle, so the gore tacks easily and doesn't cut into my breasts, and it doesn't stab me in the sternum either! I have to put the band on the smallest hook since I'm normally a 28 and this is kind of a stretchy bra, but it runs very small so it's actually perfect. Doesn't migrate up my back. Since it's a balconette it tends to want to cut into my peck-boob fat on the sides, but I'm not holding that against it since it's my fault I bought another balconette knowing that I have very narrow shoulders.

    *Comfort*: nice daily bra
Very comfortable bra. The fabric is smooth, the straps are wide and sturdy, and the lace actually doesn't itch. The lining on the inside of the cups is soft and the inside seem is covered with satin so it doesn't itch. My only issue is one that I have with every padded bra.....they're so damn hot! Ugh! If its warm out I end up sweating in between and on the sides of my boobs. Ah well, otherwise its very comfortable. However, if you have a problem with gores stabbing you I would suggest bending the very top of the middle underwires a bit. If I sit up straight or stand up it isn't a problem, but if I slouch (hem hem whoops) it kinda hurts, so I bent them ever so slightly and it feels much better to sit lazily now.

    *Appearance*: cute!
Very pretty. I got the black and red and white one, which has a heart and dot pattern all around, red lace along the tops of the cup, a black bow in the middle, and black straps and lining. I think I'll chop the bow off though because I hate bows.

    *Quality*: excellent
This bra is very well made. All of the stitches are intact, there is lining inside the cups AND the band, the lace is evenly sewn and sits flat against the breast, the straps are sturdy, the underwire is made of strong metal, the hooks are well-anchored, and the patterned fabric sticks and stretches to the form of the bra without wrinkling. The tag doesn't even itch.

    *Stretch*:
The band is pretty stretchy, but not nearly as stretchy as my Cleo Bonnie. The elastic in the band seems a bit heavier duty and the patterned fabric seems to restrict some of the stretching. Again, this band runs small so don't plan on stretching the thing a lot to fit.

    *Wear*:
So far, don't know. Will Update.

    *Final Judgement*:
Awesome!! Very good bra, with the exception of some slight inaccuracies in sizing. Works great for my wide-root, pointy boobs. Would probably work even better for someone with slightly wider shoulders.

The proper size does a ton for self-esteem and self-image. A couple months ago I'd never even think about wearing a non-pushup, much less a completely unlined bra.

I have shallow breasts and an average to narrow root, and this fits wonderfully. There's a tiny bit of wrinkling on the smaller side, but that's to be expected. Overall it gives a nice rounded appearance under clothes, but my smaller side is a little less rounded. With the seam placement, I'm really not worried about nipple poke-through.

The band is nice and firm, much more so than the Cleo Juna, which I found to be too stretchy for me. The straps are a bit wide-set, but it's not a problem with my body shape. Beware if you have narrow shoulders.

Wow! After my struggles with the Marcie I wasn't sure if Cleo wires were wide enough for me, but this bra is like it is made for me! After I figured out that I was more full on bottom, I decided to try the Lucy. Since I was filling out the 38H Marcie, I decided to try a cup up in the Lucy. I am so glad I decided to try this bra. I do not feel the weight of my breasts at all, it is magical. I wish the straps weren't so far apart, but they aren't slipping. I may edit this review after I get a couple weeks of wear in this bra, but I am definitely off to find similar shapes!

Wow- this is a generous bra. To put this in perspective, I found that a 32J in most Cleo bras is a tad small in the cup, whereas this is spot on for me in cup volume. You may want to consider getting one-two cup sizes down from your normal Cleo size.

The bra is a three-piece balconette, with the cups made out of a very sturdy fabric- there's almost no give in it at all. There's a small bird charm in the centre to match the bird print fabric, which is a very nice touch. There's two rows of hooks in three columns on the fastening, which is ... normal for Cleo, although I certainly wouldn't say no to the extra stability of a third row, especially in the larger cup sizes. I'm not really a dark bra person, but I'm also a realist, and this bra was a pretty good fit so I'm sure I'll get used to the navy with red trim after a while.

The band is too long for me, and rides up a little even on the tightest hook (which is unsurprising, as I'd ideally wear a very snug 28 or 26 band). The straps are too wide-set, and will wander off my shoulders unless I use something like a racerback converter. The wires are a touch wide, and there's not quite enough immediate projection in the bra, leading to a bit of wrinkling around the bottom and side of the cups.

However, the shape it gives me is very centred- I have almost no breast tissue at my sides, which is unusual for a bra in this size. It's definitely a very uplifted shape, which some people may consider a bit pointy, but I think that I rather like it. The sturdy fabric is a plus for me, as it feels very supportive. I know some people with upper fullness have said that the bra cuts in on the top, and while my breasts are fuller on the top, they have a lot of projection for their height, and so this works quite well. I'd say it's a good bra for short boobs.

I'm planning to alter the band and the straps a little to improve the fit, and I'll add some more notes to this review after I've worn the bra for a while.

It's a great T-shirt bra for wide root shallow boobs, even though the pattern shows through thinner shirts.
It just about fit me, so I didn't keep it, because apparently my breast tissue keeps migrating all the time and I've already got enough bras with cups that are too small lying around here. I'll probably try it on again once my boobs have settled into a more definite size again.

Ordered online from Nordstrom, sized up in the cup as per reviews (I *think* my size is 30FF, so far my best fitting bras are in that size from Parfait by Affinitas).

This is hilariously too small in the cup -- quadraboob everywhere, gore floating above my chest, everything smushed and squashed and popping out all over. The band was very stretchy and flimsy, snug on my 29" ribcage but I could definitely see it stretching out over time.

This bra doesn't even come in a larger cup size and it's not available on Nordstrom's website any more so I'm going to return it and see if they have anything better in store. Even if this bra did come in a bigger cup size, I still don't think it's a good bra for me because the band does not seem to be supportive.

This bra is also my first attempt at trying a "sister size" bra and it was a success!

The Natasha Balconnet is one of my favorite unpadded bras so far. It did not engulf my boobs in a sea of fabric up to my clavicle, nor did the gore try to stab me in the heart. It manages to bring my wide set breasts a little more front and center, and uplifted, instead of making them more spread apart or minimized. Under a shirt, my boobs look pretty great.

I was a little worried that a 28GG would be too tight, especially since the Zia Balconnet is cut so small, but I had nothing to worry about. It was like a middle ... ground between the Meg Balconnet and the notoriously firm Zia. My underbust is 29 inches, and I can fasten the Natasha comfortably on the last hooks.

I love the pattern and the color scheme. The lace at the top of the cups is soft and doesn't cut into my breast tissue. The cup material is somewhat stiff, but that helps to provide support, and it softened up anyway after a wash.

The cups are also just the right height under my armpits. I find this to be the case in general with Cleo bras. I didn't have much luck with some of Curvy Kate 's Showgirls line and Freya is dancing on the edge of being too armpitty, especially once you get up to a G cup.

The Natasha is definitely proving to be one of my "go to" bras for when I want an unpadded bra under darker fabric tops or dresses, as long as the neckline isn't too low.

Description: a purple molded-cup balcony style bra with black mesh overlay. Embroidered ribbons and check pattern on edges of the black mesh. Fully adjustable black straps with ruched ribbon detail on straps. Black mesh powernet band with 2 hook-and-eye closure.

Pros: The straps are fully adjustable and are thinner than most of my newer (/better fitting) bras. I appreciate the thinner straps because I will be able to hide them better during the summer with racerback or thin-strapped camis/tanks. I also feel as though they will be less of a hassle should I use a bra converter (again, thanks to the ruching and thinness). The ruched ribbon detail on ... the straps, while a bit of a pain at first to adjust, prevents the straps from loosening throughout the day. This bra doesn't poke or stab me under the arms and the center gore lies flat and does so without stabbing me as well. There is no quadboob (some with the larger breast, but a minor strap adjustment fixed that) or spillage and I feel secure in this bra. I can wear this with a v-neck,

Cons: It's a balcony-style bra, so the shape isn't my favorite, but I can see where in certain situations this bra will serve me better than others (office environments maybe?). It gives a "my-boobs-but-better" appearance under clothing and exaggerates my hourglass shape BUT it does give a little east/west point----not so much that my tatas are in my armpits, but enough to "push" an exaggerated figure 8 from the front (and make me think of torpedo-tits when I look down at my chest) and does flatten out the silhouette due to the lack of forward projection. The band is *FIRM* and runs a bit tight, I think. This may be causing some distortion of the cups/wires on me, but by the end of the day (even with an extender) the wires dig into my ribs HORRIBLY on my sides. I don't want to bend the wires because I think the overall effect of this bra is not the most flattering on me and I will probably let this one go in favor of the Cleo Marcie.
