I love the fabric of the cup of this bra. And I love that this strap situation means the bra isn't trying to slice my arm off my body. Technically it's not quad boobing but when I sit down boobs definitely spill over the gore in the middle. The clasp at the top on the back is magnetic and while playing with it not on my body I was like "oh wow this is strong" and then when trying to get it to stay clasped while wearing the bra it felt too weak. I did get it hooked all right and even once I've tightened the straps its ...staying but I don't trust it. And this probably can't be avoided in a bra like this but its on my neck not my back, almost like a halter swim top, which I always hated. Feels like good quality and construction, I like the way the fabric feels on my body and especially in my hands and I think it looks pretty cute. It is not a good fit on me. And one more thing, on me the top of the band is loose, like the bottom is nice and tight but the top is so loose it's not laying flat, I have no idea what that means. I'm not sure how clear that description of what I'm talking about was, when the bra is laying flat on the floor or whatever most bands typically have a bottom elastic strand and a top elastic strand even thought the whole band is stretchy, for this bra on me the top elastic bit is not even lying flat on my body. In fact I just checked to see how much the fabric was being stretched and essentially the entire band except the bottom elastic strand is not doing anything. I think I could cut it off and the bra would fit the same. I'll add some pictures of this. Most bras are the same height in the band until where the straps attach at the back where it then curves down to be the height of of the hook part, this bra is a regular 5 inch wing height with a gradual decrease to the hook part, it definitely feels shorter than 5 inches even by the wire. This bra fit my breasts perfectly and would have been a keeper except for the gore, it sits on my close set breast tissue and it sits too high between my breasts. I would love this bra had the gore been an inch shorter and was closer to 1/2 an inch in width (wires overlapped). This bra will be returned because it deserves to be owned by someone who can wear it.
This bra fits well and comfortably, other than some slight wrinkling on my smaller left boob at the top of the cup. The Pink Leopard pattern with a beige background is *slightly* ugly but it's quirky-looking and it shows smoothly under t-shirts other than super thin ones. I bought it used so the band was already stretched out a bit, which is probably why this 32 band fits me better than my other, newer, Panache/Cleo bras. My boobs have a short root and are functionally full on bottom due to soft tissue and it fit well. The thin fabric is stretchy and moderately soft. I find myself liking the stretch top panel a bit better than lace stretch top panels.
Very pretty bra and well made, but probably not the best for my shape. I am even- and center-full, and the cup technically did fit, but the top cut in a little too much. I couldn't tell from the pictures/description when I bought this if it had any padding or not--it does not. And with the lack of padding, I end up with a more natural shape than what I'm comfortable with.
I am UK 32FF/F, even fullness, narrow roots and projected.
Polish bras have the best fit in terms of construction for meas there is rarely ever any UK bras that have narrow and projected enough cups for me. Cleo Asher included, but it fit a lot better than I had expected!
I have dense breast tissue and often find that padded cups are really hard to wear. Often they will push down because the shape just doesn't match. This includes polish brands like Comexim, which is the only Polish brand that is feasible for me at the moment. I want to try their balconettes, but they are mostly ...unlined, which doesn't sit right with me at all.
My first ever bra - the Cleo Asher is still by far the best fitting because of this, but it still has its fair share of fit issues.
Cleo is a sister brand of Panache, they do keep the quality of Panache bras. (The stiff band and all). But one thing I found different from these two is the cup separation. I think Cleo's cup separation is more close-set that Panache, which may be why it fits a lot better than the Envy I tried and faied miserably to fit. As for the Cleo Asher, it is similar to Panache envy and Jasmine in that it is a lined blaconette bra made fully with stiff, fabric as the cups. It's also more known to be a FoT bra, and I agree - I'm having some sort of fit issues on the bottom of the cups due to my even fullness.
Overall fit is good! The wires are as usual, too wide for me. But, It's comfortable enough to wear long. I bought a black one, and due to it being black, it was slightly too stiff and tight for me - I had to get a band extender. Other than these few issues, the bra is still my favourite. The Mimi didn't fit me, unfortunately. When I'm sitting down, it fits okay. However, if I move my arms up, even just a little bit, the bra will 100% ride up on me even though the band isn't too big. The cup is seamed, but the material is stiffer which gave great support and roundness. Unfortunately it's a shape mismatch. The Mimi seems to be a bit too narrow (or is it too projected?) for me. The straps aren't fully adjustable. They are not long enough for me for some reason and the adjustment rings sit almost on my shoulders, which cause shoulder pain and red marks, if I have a heavy backpack on. The 32DD Mimi has longer and more comfortable straps but unfortunately didn't fit me either.
I really love this bra! It is the most comfortable panache/cleo bra I've tried. The Gore is not too high or wide for me which is often an issue I have with panache/cleo. I love the shape it gives too. Unfortunately this is a discontinued style. If anyone knows of they have a current version of this or something similar please let me know!
I do sometimes get a small gap near where the strap and cup meet depending on the position of my arms but it can't be seen through clothes and I have a dent in my breast tissue right there so this is sometimes unavoidable, so I'm not counting that as a fit issues, especially because this bra is so freaking comfortable.
The band is not as firm as many panache bands but it is tts.
Thanks! Gna go look. If I can find 1-2 more this bra will definitely become my daily driver.
Lexi had a similar shape and is also discontinued but there are still some available on ebay.
Thanks. I'm a little unsure if the lexi will work for me. I've heard it was more shallow than the maddie but when I compare the measurements they are almost identical. It does seem like the lexi is more closed on top though. So I worry that it'd cut in. Might be worth a try if I can find it from somewhere with easy returns or through ebay with a seller who accepts returns but eBay is always risky. I did buy another maddie on ebay though. In pink because why be reasonable and buy the nude that I really need when I can get bright pink! 😂
I found with my extra wide, & generally tall roots that Lexi is really good for short breasts and rather open on top with a little upepr shaping to keep one from spilling out, whereas Maddie has the right proportions for tall root but is just too tall for a short projected breast. For anyone who needs a lot of direct projection from the wire out rather than an extended depth only at the nips, it would have been perfect if there was something in between both of these styles. If you are in a normal to narrow root width the upper is less likely to curl inward as hard from pressure at the bottom of the cup straining to deal with a wide full root. if you are more Omega it could work really well in the right measureme nts.
I got a little lost in that comment. You're saying the lexi is better for tall and narrow roots?
Lexi is not narrow at all. I'd say that Maddie is the narrower and more full on top friendly between both styles- it has a smaller wire that's more U shaped and expects a front-facing & vertically deep breast that might be more self supporting. The upper cup on Maddie isn't as wide as Lexi, so I've found that it will also cut in if it's too small. It reminds me somewhat of the old VS dream angels but more supportive. I'd also venture Maddie's shape is closer to Cleo Mimi which I put up with till I got Comexims and abandoned all molded styles. Anyhow in all the sizes I've tried of both Maddie & Lexi, the Lexi has a longer wire that's short for it's size, and the cups look built for a shorter, wider breast; the upper hem on top flips back inward a little which seems like it is for someone whose immediately full with short or shallow roots; someone with a lot of apex projection that could benefit from having a little more containment on top. The foam felt more resistant than Maddie but I might have worn my Maddies to death and softened them up. Lexi is closer to the Panache Tango's shape. I'd only heard of Lexi in this last year so most of my experiences with it are during a long growth period where immediate depth and a very projected lower cup made all the difference in how the top of a style would fit, or not fit.
Too small. Usually 32E-34DD fits in english brands. The cups are too low to give good support. Could be a perfect low gore strapless bra for someone else. This bra is for sale.
Got this bra from a bra fitting shop (Bradonna). The lady suggested a 32 band instead of a 34. It feels a bit tight, so I use an extender to add ~2 cm to the band lenght. I hope it will break in with time. This bra provides great support and gives me a very rounded and projected shape, especially from the side. It really delivers the 'front and center' effect, pushing everything from the armpits to the front. I like how low cut it is under the armpits - no chafing. The material is really sturdy and looks durable.
Bought this bra on a whim because it is very pretty, but turned out to be my best-fitting bra to date! Other models that i've tried that fit me include Cleo Asher in 30G and Gossard Glossies (less support).
This bra rests perfectly against my sternum and i more or less forget I'm wearing it over the course of the day, it doesn't budge from my IMF at all unlike the 183647382 other popular FOB styles i have tried... looking at you panache envy sigh
Only downside to this bra would probably be the weird foamish strap texture (though personally it doesn't really bother me that much) and the fact that this bra isn't so readily available... wish it was easier to buy more of them and in more colours too.

Marcie this is not, nor Kayla... but could might compare with Kira for similarity in cut.
Decent allowance for moderate all over fullness. No issues for functional full on bottom space demands. A bit closed in on top as the band has no give, although the very edge in trimmed in a ...very thin stretch lace. Effect is very minimal. Zoe is acceptable for even types, or those with taller roots. Not so sure about full on top, as I am not & already have some issues in this area with this style.
I do tend to spill out more when active, as this is a more generous cut in loose, nonstretch mesh layers. The mesh layers are more airy when temperature and humidity are low, but rather stifling & prone to hold sweat in higher temps. Read more 90 more words
I have projected breasts and pale skin and I love this bra. It’s super comfortable and gives me a great shape. The only problem I have with this bra is the pattern shows up under thin shirts.
I am happy I finally got to try this Cleo Hettie Balconnet Bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I had the oppertunty to get this one in a 28FF for a very fair price, so even though I had a feeling it would be an imperfect fit on me due to the Gore, So many people refer to this bra in my size range that I wanted to know how it fit me for reference and help assessing shape/fullness because my breast shape has changed with weight loss.
I got this bra in pink, I prefer a softer more dekicare pink personally, this brighter darker pink seems ...a bit more Youthful than my taste but that's okay. At a glance the construction of this bra reminds me of one of my prior Victoria Secret very sexy Balconett bras. That previous VS balconett was always top large in the band, but the cups were more ideal for me when I had more overall volume and upperfullness. Now that I have lost weight I have lost both size and volume all over and the upper part of my breast has softer and less firm tissue. (Depending what time of the month it is or weight changes, the area fluctuates some and may deflate or firm up a bit) I had a feeling this bra would have a bit too much upperfullness for me currently, which seemed to kind of ring true. I did somewhat like the stretch lace that made up the top quadrant of the cups. My nipples are spaced kind of far apart on my breasts, so I always have at least some centerfullness. I was very very center/innerfull before I lost weight, and possibly even as far as FOB FOT. The gore would gave been too tall and not close set enough for me before, but otherwise previously this bra would have been good before. Currently the gore is not the most ideal but I can tolerate it, but gore's can still push my projected soft tissue in weird directions in some instances. The slightly stretchy lace connects near the gore. Which is good because that's often where bras don't have enough rooms but I also feel like I need more support right there too than that material allows. I also think that this cup would jabe been preferable to me slightly shorter and closer to a half cup, which I show in one of my pictures. The cup width is decent, the wires pretty much narrow enough (I Am assymetrical and still trying to find my most ideal cup width between 5 and 6inches for both breasts. The band is firm enough but I may have worn it on the middle or tightest Hooks (it's a pre owned bra though so likely has stretched a little with wash and wear)
This is a great bra for many. The fit was imperfect, mostly with the gore but also with other subtle parts. Size wise is a close fit, I think the 28FF is good for me in the padded Cleos but I think 28F is best for similar unlined bras of this brand. (My 28E is still too small) This bra feels better quality than my past VS balconett bra that it reminded me of, but I will admit I liked the "look" of the black lacy VS balconett better. I don't always adore the youthful bright colors that Cleo bras can sport. This bra may not be close enough to wear but I don't regret buying it for diagnostic purposes. In may end up trading it on here in the near future. Read more 504 more words
Just following up on our conversation Re your comexim, this is a good example of a tall(ish) bra it might be worth pursuing in a different size: the Hettie is known to run WILDLY large in the cup and that's what seems to be happening here... the snug band is compensating a tad but it's still just visibly too big in the cup (notice there is extra fabric both below AND above the breast, , the diagonal cup seam sits above the natural apex of your own bust and the slight indent at that seam indicates slackness in the fabric, whereas a well-fitting cup should fit with a little bit of tension). I know it's discontinued but if you find one in 28F or 30E I think you'd find a lot of the fit issues would be resolved, including hopefully that uncomfortable gore.
wendybien I wanted to try a hettie, the cups are a bit too tall and the gore is taller than I prefer. I am very short statured/short in the torso so cup height can be a problem. Pictured it's on a tighter hook, but wearing it breifly today while looking over some other bras I wore it on one of the looser two. I do think I marked this as not fitting. If I were to look for another hettie I would probably look for a 30F depending. But due to the Gore and a few other little minor issues,+ I am not going too try to find another. My underbust messurments are usually 27-tight but not break the tape tight 28 comfy 29 loose. I Have some back issues that cause my posture to shift, and on top of it another health thing that's caused me to look a bit Puffy recently especially between my rib flare but I am usually comfortable with 28 or 30 bands with a few outliers. I just was glad to try a Hettie but know this one doesn't fit perfectly, but I did find a winner today from someone with similar shaping so I'm happy
I'm also probably not looking for more unlined cleos they are difficult with my assymmetry.
For whatever reason the gore tacks on one wire but not the other. I guess the separation is too much for me. I'm pretty close set. I do think the cups are too big for me as well. And as the other Cleo and Panache bras I've tried, the band is really tight and the wire is really stiff, making it uncomfortable on my ribs. Too bad because I like the way it looks.
This band is too tight for me even though I'm indeed a 28 band. The wires are so hard and stiff I can't tolerate them against my ribs. The gore tacks on one wire and the other is kind of pushed crookedly toward the other side. I guess I need an overlapping gore. But it pokes my sternum hard at the top of the gore and hurts while the lower part of the gore is pushed away from my chest. It does work really well for my FOT chest and it looks really good but is so uncomfortable.
The gore is too high and wide for me (I have close-set breasts) and cuts a bit into my breast tissue and sternum. On my smaller side, the cup wrinkles slightly because my breast doesn’t completely fill the cup, and the wrinkles (and seams in general) are very visible under t-shirts. The material the cups are made of is also itchy.
This Cleo Jessie Padded Balconnet Bra is such a pretty bra that I scored from a seller elsewhere at a prettt decent price. It came to me in the very good previously used condition it was promised to be in and I was happy with the fast smooth transaction that took place to obtain it The bra is pretty! As soon as I had it in hand I realized it reminded me of my black Cleo Padded Juna Bra of the same 30FF size, which isn't a perfect fit but I was wearing it right before I decided to try this one on. The cups had a ...similarly placed seam, are both Padded balconetts from Cleo, and look very similar inside, with a similar gore and band width. (The Jessie has the colorful lace outside though instead of just black) I did notice the cups of the Jessie looked a little taller which worried me, I had a little space with the Jessie (I think with my short stature and possibly short roots and where my fullness is means I need shorter cups. The Jesse looked a little more projected and slightly more narrow. I have lost weight So I can technically tolerate the Gore on my Juna. But I prefer shorter gore's on plunged or would prefer both with overlapping wires in the middle, I may debate learning how to to that because even when I lose weight I am still center full and close set when supported and gores can pinch my tissue and cause discomfort. I love that cleo bras are more narrow, Cleo bras are my go to when I can't access Polish Bras. This bra would have fit better when I was a couple lbs heavier. I think because I am petite and narrow (I am 4 ft 8 and have a round rib cage with projected ribs that have a lot of depth and less width, and I have very narrow shoulders) I Think my overall size is different than the bodies bras are expected to be made for, so I think it might cause more gaping at the top of bras based on where the straps are sitting and my short roots/torso can cause that wrinkling. I Lost upper fullness with my weight loss, and may be functionally FOB and center full, but its hard to tell with my nipple placement. I am fairly projected although less so than when I was a bit heavier/Fuller. The strap placement is okay especially for a Balconett bra, I think this would fit better In. 28FF (I can only wear firm 30s on the smallest from the get go) after scooping and swooping and a few minutes of wear, I filled it better with less gaping, but there was a little more space with my smaller breast. 6 is okay for straight across width usually, my breasts have different roots so it's kind of hard to find the perfect wire width. I wish the wires overlapped because it makes this fit so much better having almost an inch between kind of pushes my boobs weird or risks pinching tissue. I Have some comexim bras coming in from other users, and want some ewas with reduced cups and overlapping wires and straps moved in whcih I have seen on here in various sizes. This bra isn't a push up, the cookie inserts in an Ewa could possibly help with my assymetry too. I may offer this to my sister wirh an extender (her 32 UB) but think the Gore may be problematic for her as well so I may eventually post on here to trade. Overall it'd a great bra and I really like it, not a perfect fit but not terrible either. Maybe it will grow on me. Read more 527 more words
The Zebra print isn't your standard black and white, instead its earthy brown and a pinky-beige - really lovely. I had no fit issues with the solid colours (Azure, Caramel, Vintage) bar some slight overspill at the centre front due to my fullness, which I am used to and expect from styles like this, but this one seems to fit even better? It feels almost like there's more depth in the cup as I don't get even a slight overspill like I did in the others.
What a pretty bra ! It's very trendy looking with its pattern and its deep autumn yellow color that photos can't quite show. The strong magnetic clasp on the back is another nice element that helps a little bit with strap support and that can be used for line drying the bra. I personally have fine motricity issues that force me to hook bras on the front and rotate them, but the magnet had no difficulty catching its opposite part all by itself on the back. The band is true to size, but cups are a bit on the smaller side especially for Cleo. This is partly due to ...the inner mesh sling bringing breast tissue to front, and also due to the very firm elastic making cups very closed on top. Tall roots, full on top, and shapes that are both close set and center full might get a lot of quad boob with this bra. The elastic is great for my full on bottom and short roots though. I also have narrow roots, but the side sling helps keeping boobs firmly in place, so the pretty wide wires aren't a problem for me. The cups have a pretty good amount of immediate and apex projection. The fabric is pretty but the lace is a little bit scratchy. The straps are only partially adjustable, and for this reason I think sister sizing probably wouldn't work with this bra. Read more 130 more words
I've been told that I'm short and shallow 28E. However fitters either bring me the smallest thing they can find with a giant band, that inevitably dangles around my ribs with cups that barely cover the middle half of each breast & wires comically perch at least 2" from the imf, or, they dredge up a dusty ole thing in the smallest band + FF/G/GG in stock which tends to be closer to width and depth needs, but absurdly tall.
Which brings us in a sort of desperation, to this bra. Brazenly advised as being a wonder of even fullness & FOT friendly.
I've tried reasoning with 'Skeletor' ...(lovingly christened for being the exact same shades of purple & blue as the main villain from He-Man), and ultimately this thing feels like it's only going to work for people who are: super narrow, somewhat conical, only slightly projected (coming from polish perspective) with most of their projection pretty much on the inner cup to around the nipple, have the smallest shoulders on earth, moderately FOB & definite lack of upper tissue. If this sounds like you- hurry hurry, scoop this beauty up. She doesn't have all day to languish on the rack.
However for myself, it's undergone numerous surgeries to get us through the introductory period, many times I've taken out the sewn basting, reapplied to manage the weird wrinkling, tried to bend the wire, replace the wire, & even added padding to the underwire. This is not a style that affords much immediate depth, but there is probably about a half inch in there then the pattern goes completely flat which spells doom for anyone who needs a lil room. There's not getting around all the things I need that Hettie can't give. like at least 2" immediate depth on the outside of cup at the wire, that could might be a start. It's not quite a side control style but my trauma from those, reminds me that this has a very similar feel. "Sorry girl you can't tell these street toughened side titty not nothing, they will tear your life up, Hettie. It's not personal, just sneak off before they see ya".

This bra's measurements have been altered
Altered band,
Altered straps,
replaced underwire with #40 underwire
I had a bra that fit me like this. I adjusted it by shortening the cup at the wire. There was projection where I needed it and the cup was not so tall and wrinkly all round. I still needed to take the lace for a good fit
Of course, with the short straps you may not be able to do that alteration with this particular bra.
From personal experience, be confident with the smaller band bras and stay away from the 34 inchers! Not worth the grief and time spent with alterations.
I agree full about the lowering cup height, just to get the width where it is needed- that has been a godsend. i don't know what Hettie wants from me but it's certainly not my sideboob, she's done done with all that! The cleo mimi review I finally put up, I'd shortened & it's been ok, as well as numerous other styles that were so close! and am sure to freak the world out when I get them loaded as well. The alteration life has had me this last 20 years and I'm only now starting to find 'closer' fits abroad since the 'change of life' is creepin on strong with no signs of sizing down. Most of my trouble comes in the form of needing very wide wires and an extra wide frame in the band along the front, which puts me around 28H territory. Yet my underbust is quite tiny and conical so bands must usually be shaped tapering if they aren't sold that way as well. Sewing patterns were even worse fits, so many duck bills! So many alterations! So much sizing up in dumbfounded shock at yet another skimpy binding cup. Will look into the database rules about uploading homemade projects, there's a lot going on there. If my body were a normal human shape or size I would only ever buy my small bands and live like a queen, but for now have learned the hard way that disaster lies down those streets, and to watch for styles with enough of the proportions in needed places, then whittle things in. The hunt for the perfectly demented 28FF goes on.
