I purchased this because I originally owned and loved the Ellie. I've recently lost some weight, but ordered my usual 28G. I will be trying a 28FF in a similar style to see if it fits better--I find right now my breasts fill the cups, but the lace looks rather loose on my smaller breast.
I find that this bra is very comfortable. It is made of a smooth fabric, and the cups are lightly padded. The gore sits fairly low between the breasts and lays flat against my sternum. I love the shape of the cups--rounded without creating crazy cleavage. I do find that it separates the boobs a bit, but my breasts are slightly wide-set, so I feel this suits their natural shape. This is my go-to every day bra.
Just got this bra, and I am very pleased with it. I find the band to be quite snug. I think it will relax a bit with time, but as it is, it isn't too snug, but it would be too tight if it was any MORE snug. I like the construction of the cups-- they really push your boobs forward, but the silhouette isn't very torpedo boob-ey, it still is a bit more rounded. One of my boobs is about a quarter size bigger than the other, so that boob has perhaps the slightest about of quad-boobage going on (seen in pictures), but it fits the other boob perfectly. I like the straps, but I think they will lose elasticity with time, I usually like my straps to be just a little wider and more robust.
The print is lovely, and the fabric isn't super soft, but I don't find it irritating either.
The Karen has become my go to t-shirt bra. It give a nice rounded shape and is smooth under tight tops. The band is very stretchy. Sometimes the gore pokes into my larger breast but otherwise a comfortable bra.
I am suffering through the process of breaking this bra in. It hurts a lot right now- jabs me in the sternum, is too stiff, etc.- but I have read that the Lucy gets better with time. The cups are at least two inches too wide, so I have tried to bend the underwires a bit to lay better against my ribs.
I have it in the navy blue/pink color and it is much cuter than my white Lucy. It provides me with so-so support. I wouldn't buy another one.
Aghhhh my boobs. The band is too large on me, but I measure around 24.5 underbust so that doesn't surprise me. My left boob is /almost/ quadboobing. And then my right one doesn't fill the cup all the way. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> The bra itself is super nice though! It's not too stretchy, it's pretty comfortable, and it looks nice.
I love the way this bra looks, it's not frumpy like a lot of other bras I'm able to find in my size. The band is slightly itchy, but after a few minutes in it, I don't notice again until the end of the night when I'm dying to take any bra off and go to bed. I haven't found pokeys anywhere, and I love the way it makes the boobs look. You can KIND of see the stitching/embroidery on it when I'm wearing an extremely tight shirt, but I usually have a tank top on under anything, and then you can't see it at all. All around my favorite bra. I haven't had any bad stretching yet, but I've only had it for a month or so now.
It's quite comfortable, but I feel the wires might still be a little too wide for me. The gore doesn't quite sit flat, but then my boobs are very very close together as well, which could influence this. This bra gives me a bit of a pointed shape and the cup gaps when I lean forward. The top of the bra sits really funny and kind of flattens the top of my boobs, not sure why this is? It's quite tight which is good, doesn't feel too loose in the band https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Not great quality. Bottom elastic in particular is scratchy. My breasts fall out through the middle as it is a bit too wide for me. Looks spectacular, though.
Great, comfortable t-shirt bra. Runs true to size. Straps are padded and extremely comfortable. Cups are also padded with a comfortable material. Wires do not poke or rise too high under arms, center gore fits well. Appears smooth under t-shirts. The only problem is that the lace on the cups does not lie flat.
Good everyday t-shirt bra, but with a few flaws. As many people have mentioned about this and other Cleo Juna variants, the lace along the top of the cup does not lie flat when the cup is the correct size. Also, the straps are a bit wide-set for me, and rub along my arms. The cups seem to run true to size, and so does the band. The wires do not poke. The fabric is soft and smooth, and the light lining/padding makes it comfortable to wear.
NAVY/PINK: Bra fits very well while standing up straight. Lace gapes while bending over, lying down, etc. However, I still love this bra as it gives a great shape and is very cute.
BLACK: The black lucy runs smaller than the colors. This bra *almost* fits but the lace cuts in at the top giving me mild quadraboob. The band also feels tighter than on the colored Lucys.
Overall the Lucy is comfortable enough for daily wear, and fits relatively true to size although you should consider sizing up a cup size in the black if you are on the fence in other Cleos.
Also, others have mentioned that the underwires can dig in; I experienced this at first too. Try bending the underwires, it helps a ton.
The bra looks a lot better in person than it does in photos. The cups and gore have black net going over them and the interplay between the black and the purple looks great. The back is black rather than purple. The straps have a ruffled detail on them that makes them less boring than regular straps.
The padding seems to be the standard Cleo padding, it is similar to the Juna. However, I find that it is quite obvious where the top of the cup ends if I'm wearing a light t-shirt over it. The detailing on the top od the cup doesn't help
The band on this bra ...is true to size. I'm 28" around the ribs and this 28G is quite tight on me, as it should be. However, I've also noticed that the band is quite thin at the back, and this combination makes it a little uncomfortable; I'm hopeful that once the bra stretches out a little it will be a bit more comfy.
I think Freya suits me better than cleo. The wires are a little wider than they should be for my shape and this allows some of my breast tissue to hang around near my armpits.
Although this is technically a half cup, I think it offers more coverage than most of the half, cups that are out there, it's more 2/3 than 1/2. I like this because all the half-cups I have tried before seemed to offer less support than this one. The cups are pretty open on top, which is good for my breast shape since closed cups ten to cut into my breast tissue and give me quadboob.
The straps are quite thin compared to what I'm used to. They have this ruffled detail on them wich makes them quite cute, and it isn't noticeable under shirts, but it makes it much harder to adjust them. This could be viewed as a good or a bad thing. On one hand, it is hard to adjust them at first, on the other hand, they are more likely to remain at the proper length once you have adjusted them.
I think my bra sustained a little mistreatment before it got to me (this was an online order). The padding near the bottom of the left cup seems to have a bit of a crease that should not be there. It doesn't seem to affect the shape of the bra. It is hardly even noticeable when I look at it but I can feel it quite well. I decided to keep it despite this because I got it on a sale and it doesn't seem to affect the fit.
Very pretty bra but just doesn't look right on me! I am new to all this and am still trying to find out what size and style is for me. So when I put this bra on I thought it was ok in the fit until I scooped in everything and then I had quad boob I think? Then when I poked around i noticed the bottom of the cups isn't filled, yet I am spilling over the top?? When I put a top on over the bra my boobs looked a very weird square shape. I am not sure if it just doesnt fit ot my shape ...or if it's because its too small or too big?! Looks pretty as I said but the material isn't the softest. The wire in the right cup also digged right in to one of my ribs, it was like it just sat on the top of it in the wrong position. Not sure what to do about that. The style of the bra you couldn't wear with tight fitting tops because the lacy pattern completely shows through. Read more 77 more words
I used to have this in 28FF and in that size, it noticeably cuts in my bigger breast, and had obvious quadding. I had to take in the centre gore to make it more open on top but doing that makes the band even tighter on my 27" ribcage. I also had spillage on the sides and the shape was somehow not that round.
So I sold that one and got a 28G. The fit is way better. It still cuts in my bigger breast, but only when I roll my shoulder way back. For usual movements, you won't even notice it unless you stared. A 28GG would be too baggy for me. I also have no spillage in this size, and the shape is round! Perfectly round and lifted. I love it. The width of the cup (5.5") is also perfect for me. I did not experience any poking nor rubbing in the armpit. This bra is comfortable and I can see myself reaching this bra often in the near future!
I've read several reviews comparing the Cleo Lucy to the Panache Sienna, my favourite bra. However, I find the cups on this one narrower, making for a less round look. It also makes a slight quadboob during that time of the month, due to the stiff lace on top, and I think I definitely could have done with a 34F. Still adore it, though.
it makes perfect round apples out of my boobs, no poking, no cons. and the band is soo tight that once it even fits, normally everything is too wide for me. love it, love it, love it. I collect this bra in all colors i can get, and i keep dying them too to get even more.
I ordered this bra recently as part of my search for comfortable, everyday 30 band bras for my 28" ribcage to wean me off of my too-big Spanx bras. The bra shape is a good fit for my wide, shallow breasts, but to my surprise it seems I need to size up in the cup. My larger breast is actually bulging up and over the top of the underwire in the middle.
The bra is pretty comfortable and looks OK, but I don't know if I like it enough to exchange for a 30DD, which seems like it would be a good fit.
I ordered a 30FF, they sent a 30G as this is supposed to be the equivalent.. it's definitely way too big in the cups. Ribcage is 30.5-31 and bust is 37.
Definitely was itchy at first and left red marks as the wires seem a lot higher than what I'm used to, but that's not saying a lot as I was in the wrong size (36DD).
If I had this in the correct size, I'm sure I would love it.
