This review is for the bluebell colorway. This bra has great immediate projection and also enough room for my center fullness. There is also enough room at the tops of the cups to accommodate my tall roots. I have a bit of extra fabric at the outsides of the cups, as the wires are just a bit too wide for my narrow roots, but I also don't have much outer fullness. And this bra has narrower wires than most UK bras that I have tried in this size range. I find this bra to be quite comfortable - nothing really digs in anywhere. I also have this bra in this size in black and do not notice any fit differences between the two colors. Short roots or full on bottom boobs would likely have a problem filling out the tops of the cups, but this is a solid, comparatively inexpensive bra for those of us with tall roots. I lucked out and found this bra on sale at Amazon for $16.95, so it was a great find!
My shape: Average/narrow roots, tall roots, FOB, moderately projected, soft tissue, shallow above the apex.
How this bra fits: This bra is surprisingly a fair fit on my tall roots, it does cut in, but only minimally, and if I wear the bra with a racerback clip the cups open up just enough at the top. The wire width is good, and the wing height is perfect (I find my tall roots and soft tissue prefer a taller wing, or my breasts try to escape out the side, even when the wire width is perfect). The depth is great for me, too. The band is too big, but I ordered a band size up because I couldn't find this one in a 28F. So that fit problem is on me.
All in all, I think this is a great bra - comfortable, gives me a flattering lifted shape, but keeps me looking quite natural.
I was so bummed that this bra didn't fit because it's beautiful and was a steal. It just feels to me that it's small all-around. The gore doesn't sit quite flat because the band is a little right tight and the cup cuts into my tissue because I'm ever so slightly full on top. A plus though is the wide underwires. I have wider roots and the underwires actually encapsulate the runaway boob!
Short, projected, slightly narrow, center full, close set, even breasts...
The first comfortable Cleo/Panache bra I've tried!! I've learned I require both center and immediate projection. This led me back to my nemesis, Cleo/Panache. Still the straps are thin, the band thin, the colors loud, and the gore too wide. However, I may create a home for Skye is my minimalist bradrobe. It is comfortable.
Prior to wearing Skye, I was wearing a 32F Curvy Kate Florence. Apparently, my breasts strongly prefer the immediate projection in Skye: they rejoiced. The immediate projection in Skye is....liberating. Combine the cut with the stretch fabric and you have one very comfortable bra. Next, ...I wore Blake. Blake is returning to Amazon. Skye is impressive.
Although the band stretches easily, please be aware that the wires overstretch just as easily. This 30FF was too shallow until I added a full extender. My underbust measures 27.5". I'm returning the 30FF for a 32E. I suspicion the wires will be too narrow in the 32E, but I don't have enough upper tissue to fill the top of the 30FF/32F. I'm short-waisted and this is a common theme: cups are too tall. Nevertheless, the bra has both excellent immediate and center projection.
The colors are harmonious but louder than I prefer. Comfort trumps appearance in my world.
From my perspective, Skye's fabric is a marked improvement of Cleo's from the past. Now, I hope Cleo focuses some effort on bands and straps. These could be exceptional bras with a few more design improvements. Read more 145 more words
This is a solid bra, I just vastly underestimated my cup size when ordering so I need to return it and try in a 32HH. The center gore is narrow which is good for close set boobs. The full band feels nice and supportive.
This is the most comfortable Cleo bra I have tried. It's much softer and better quality than the Marcie. The band is double- bagged, so there's less digging in. The straps are pretty narrow but they have soft padding. The stretch lace is double lined for extra shape in this size.
The blue/teal colorway is so fresh and pretty. The teal is a light teal and very lovely. Teal and aqua are my favorite colors.
This is a cup size too small so I will order the 38J and report back as to fit.
I got this bra in the Tangerine colorway because it was on sale and this was the only color with matching underwear. My first impressions: the lace is pretty and the fabric of the lace, mesh, and lining feels soft and not scratchy. I like the polka dots. The bra is lovely and made of good materials.
The only thing I dislike about the bra so far is the strap design. The straps are a little weird and cause wrinkling on the right slide near where the strap and armhole meet - it's pulling in a weird way. I wasn't sure if maybe the cup was too big, ...but after trying it on again, I think it's probably the cut of the bra because it seems to fit well otherwise. This is the first bra where I've noticed a difference between my left breast and my right.
The projection and shape under clothes is nice and rounded. I really like the way it looks! The gore tacks great, too. I have close-set breasts, so sometimes the top of the gore floats for me unless the upper gore width is narrow. I recommend it for anyone who has naturally joined breasts or boobs with very little separation. If you need good projection and can't fit some of the narrower bras, this is a good one to try.
After wearing it all day, I'll say it's a keeper. I thought that I might have issues with it because of the slight wrinkle near the strap and a tiny bit of rolling on the bottom of the band, but it is very comfortable. I think the rolling is more to do with a thinner elastic strip on the band compared to my Elomi bras. I would consider buying this bra again. Read more 189 more words
I want to love this bra! The first time I tried on this bra, I fastened to the last hook. The wires felt a touch too narrow, and I kept having to re-scoop/swoop myself in it to get the bottom outsides of my breast tissue in. The straps were kind of wide, and I was pressing up against the top edge. I thought that was weird, because I've determined I'm really not that FOT. I fell in love with the projection and shape, though, and jotted down to try it the next cup size up. Now, I tried this on before all the others I purchased that day, ...and when I was looking at my notes to determine returns and re-orders, I determined that none of that sounded right. The cups on this bra are some of the deepest I've ever seen, and I know I'm not FOT enough to come out of it... so I tried it back on and walked around a bit, and caught a glimpse of the band riding up in the back
Sure enough, I pulled it, and it was way stretchy—I fastened it on the first hook instead, re-scooped myself in, and it was a totally different story. No more top spillage, no more escaping out the bottom sides, and the band stayed put. I hadn't read that Cleo was particularly stretchy in the band, but I am definitely going to be trying this one in a 32HH. The projection is out of this world!!
I am a bit disappointed to hear that the different color ways of this bra vary wildly in how the band runs, because that's a pain the ass to try to buy. I got the tangerine, and I heard the bluebell has a similar band problem, but looking here it seems like other colors run up to a size too tight in the band! That's a big shame because I would totally buy this bra in every color if I could predict which exact size I would need in each. Read more 231 more words
i was told marcie was tight - apparently yellow was tight - but when I got raspberry it was crazy stretchy. I think I actually had it in a 32HH, but its way old and stretched out by now
dbmamaz that is so frustrating!!! amazon doesn't have the tangerine in the 32HH, only black and nude, and i have no idea how those ones run. TT-TT
I know many people find cleo koko and neve bras don't work for them, which surprised me to find out because the neve has been my go to bra for a while. More recently I found the koko as it's a similar model. This works as a great molded t-shirt bra, and this fits me well overall and is very smooth under shirts. I know the reason many people don't like it is because it is seen as a shallow bra, and it's true that when you look at just the bra itself not on a body it's profile looks shallow. But I have never thought of myself ...as having shallow breasts, and once I put the bra on the weight of my breasts in the cups makes it so that the profile does not look shallow on me. I also love the color of this bra, which is a dark grey, it works as a neutral but is a bit more interesting than black. My only 2 issues are that the wires come to high in my armpits (an issue I have with most bras), and that the j-hook is in front of the strap adjuster, which means that since I have to tighten the straps a fair amount (as I do in all bras), the j-hook makes a small bump through the front of my shirt. It's not a huge deal, just a minor detail. Overall, I like this bra and am very happy with it. Read more 140 more words
This bra gets the job done. I'm not entirely sure I'll be keeping it. It's too ornate to wear under knit tops, so no t-shirts. The cups are comfortable, and the thick straps are nice, but it's a very "vanilla" bra. Nothing particularly remarkable about it.
You look 'full-on-bottom' . . . you might want to look for that when looking for other bras to try. i mean, here on bratabase or on other social media - manufacturers and retailers wont tell you the shape of a bra lol
Hi, dbmamaz! Thanks for the input! I would agree that I'm full on the bottom; I was encouraged to purchase this as a diagnostic bra of sorts, and I think it confirmed the full on the bottom bit for me. I'm not sure anything by Cleo is going to work for me, so my next venture will probably be a Freya Padded Half Cup of some sort.
This bra was a test to see my breast growth. When I first started my bra journey this bra didn't fit. Now it does, confirming I've grown a cup size this year.
I am moderately shallow and full on bottom, with tall, average width roots. I have some bottom projection that makes some bras that are typically recommended for shallow-breasted people too shallow in the bottom and too open on top for me. Of course, the average projection bras are often too projected and too closed on top for me. The Lily falls into the latter category. It feels really nice to have all of that bottom projection but I just don't have the center projection or upper fullness for this bra.

That said... I need a different bra. The seam in the middle is just too annoying - not only does it show under shirts, some damage or defect has caused it to ...become bumpy and warped. And the lace (ignored when determining fit) sticks up and out very badly. Furthermore the gore is a smidge too high - but I can get over it as long as I maintain a decent posture. I think this 28 band is true-to-size but as someone who needs a 26 band, I wear this on the tightest hooks.
Fixing the band and lace with sewing will be easy, but I'm not sure what to do with that warped seam!... Read more 82 more words
Why this bra was discontinued, I do not understand! The outer cup material and cup lining feel like cotton. The color is a good nude for my pale skin. The gore is low and narrow. The wire is wide enough that my tissue doesn't fall into the center. And, the cup is not collapsing despite its shallow appearance. Admirable characteristics. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />
However, I will seriously consider shortening the wing wire. I am short-waisted and the wire is tall enough and wide enough that my lymph nodes scream. Hoping the Ewa Michalak 3D and/or M cuts remedy the too-tall-wing issue.
I've never had a fitting longline, and this works better than I thought it would. The seamed cups allow for a bit more projection than some.
Feels comfy and secure instead of digging in and painful. Gives me a surprisingly rounded, lifted shape instead of flattening me out!
No quadding, but there's just a little gaping at the gore wanting a bit more top-center fullness than I have. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
It just doesnt want to stay in my IMF after a bit more wear, so I am passing it on https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Very short cups, band is looser at the bottom than at the top (I measured just at the bottom of the cups for the table), quite a lot of overall projection, closed on top and there is not much space by the gore. Fits like a large G or small GG. See blog post for a more in-depth analysis.
Great bra for those with projection and upper fullness. The fabric is also quite a lot softer than Cleo's usual offerings. I have a full review on my blog.
Oh dear - this bra runs REALLY big in the cups. This is the SS16 colorway, I had tried the AW16 colorway in a store in what I was certain was a 34G and that was a much, much better fit than this - the cups were a lot shorter. As with most longlines, the band runs firm so I would recommend sister sizing up. The actual bra itself feels well made, looks great, but is a lot shallower, wider and taller than Cleos generally are on me.
My shape: full-on-bottom, full in the center, close set, average width roots, short roots.
The band is true to size and I can comfortably fasten it to the first hook. The wires are average width and they feel shorter than Cleo Lily Balconnet Bra (7351) . The wires usually pokes my underarm in Cleo bras, but it is not as bad for Hettie. The gore is a little bit lower than Lily too. The cups seem to be true to size, The bottom part of the cup is non-stretch, while the top is made of stretch lace, with a ...layer of black mesh for GG cups and bigger. I like this second layer under the stretch lace, it makes it more solid. I believe it also prevents in-cup quading. My left breast is definetly a GG, while the right might be a H. I believe 30GG is the right size for me, it fits my short roots better as the wires ar not as long. The straps are wide-set, but not as much as Cleo Marcie or Lily. They are not fully ajustable because of a light padding at the shoulders. The straps are made of a nice fabric that has a nice texture. Wearing this bra, my breast have a more 'natural' shape not as rounded as wearing the Lily bra. I wound not say that it's pointy either. In my opinion, this bra is very comfortable as the fabric is softer than Marcie, and the wires shorter than Lily.
Yeah this is too small but a 32FF may work!
