The Cleo Kayla is a really, really pretty bra, and for the most part, I really like to wear it. The stretch lace does a great job of encapsulating my soft tissue, full on top breasts, which is always a plus. The underwires are too wide, but that's something I've found is consistent with bras from British companies. In terms of quality, Kayla is decent, but I wouldn't say that it's a bra that'll last for an exceptionally long time. I'd say that I take pretty good care of my bras (hand washing them, not wearing them back to back), and I've just now reached the last set ... of hooks after a little over a year and a half of owning the Kayla; I have some bras that I've had for longer and worn about as much that are only on the first or middle set of hooks. Also, the bad does feel a bit flimsy, even when it's tight. The straps are very thin compared to most bras I have and are incredibly flimsy. Luckily, this doesn't bother me too much, but I could see how it could.

In terms of shape, the Kayla is very round for a non padded bra, which is exceptionally important to me as I love having boobs to the sky cleavage and a round, round, round profile (both not quite there for Kayla but are acceptable for my high standards) and basically live in Freya Deco Vibes. The Kayla is comparable to the Cleo Lily in this regard, in my opinion.

Mostly, I like the fit of my Kayla. One thing that I notice with it, though, is that my boobs tend to move away from the center after I've worn it, which is strange because in bras with lower gores like the Freya Deco Vibe, for instance, they move towards the center. I've attached some pictures of this.

    • This bra may not be able to provide the support your breasts need: stretchy band, thin band, thin straps, etc. I hope the wires remain comfortable as your bra slides. I find this occurrence particularly uncomfortable.

This is a great balconnet, it supports great and is great for Full on top. I don't usually like animal print but this bra is so pretty that I bought it. Now, fit wise, the gore does not tack on me but sits on my boobs. There is no space between them so I need a plunge but I will wear a balcony. The support is great, gives fab lift and it's comfortable. I was hesitant at first because my bombs are Heavy, and I have been wearing 1/4 thick t - shirt bras up to this. But, I liked it so I tried it. It has two seams and supports with excellence. I have my cleavage with it just like my other bras. I recommend Highly.

Swapped it here, so it's not a new bra. But the band is tight enough and not very wide.
I'm not sure if the cups are shallow, they are deep enough for me. I even have some gaping, but I'm not sure that's because of the wrong size. I think it's because of the straps, they are set too far apart for me, and they are uncomfortable at the armpit area. I'm sure that I can't go down the cup size, as if I move the straps in for just 1-1.5 cm the size will be perfect.
I can't decide whether to keep it and to make alteration or to find a new owner for this bra.

A nice supportive fabric, no stretch whatsoever. So a bit stiff, but still comfy. Very closed on top, but i don’t quite fill out the top of the cup in this size (I’m FOB) and the 28gg gave me an upside down 7 shape.

This bra does a great job of supporting my boobs and they look great. I FOB/ Projected a bit and fill this bra pretty well. Issue is with the band, feel like it is a tad tight? Would be someone in a 28E. HOWEVER! I got an extender. And now pretty happy with the fit and no pain in my ribs.

    • Does the gore sit flat on your sternum? If it doesn't, the force/weight can transfer to a location where the wire does sit flat. For me and my center full pair, this is under the center of each breast. And, I have flared ribs. I wonder if your center fullness may be a contributing factor, too.

    • Love4Pollinators
It does still flat and snuggly against me sternum. I wonder if it might be the cup is not quite wide enough? I can out the bra on and be fine but if it readjust myself so I am most definitely situated in the bra then it becomes an issues, mine are not super center. Do you think that could be it?

Quick question. My ribcage is 29", this bra's band is between 25" and 27" do you think that is to small for me?

    • It is possible....do you have an extender you could use to experiment?

    • 1

Sadly I do not, but I will go get one and test it out :)

    • Love4Pollinators okayyyy finally got an extender! and on the last set of hooks it feels pretty okay, no crazy rib pain and just a little tight. So back to the question at hand, does this mean I should aim for bras with larger band lengths?

    • Maybe ;-) ;-) Some bras have stretchy bands which should work well. And, others have less stretchy bands. It will totally depend on the bra.

This review is for the dark purple colourway in 30F. I usually wear 30F unlined, and this one fits just right depth and width wise. I am short and narrow rooted, soft, with some centre and bottom fullness. This bra fits really well, and I find the band fits just about right on my 29" snug ribs. It was pre-loved, so I'm sure it would have been a touch firmer if new, but it's still quite good. The purple-plum colour is pretty, and the shape lives up to my expectations - uplifted, round, and centered. Quite comfortable also - no sore spots after a day of wearing it, and no readjusting needed. It's a keeper!

Very nice and comfortable everyday bra. I have it in black and nude. Both have not very snug band and quite shallow cups. The gore is not perfect for close set boobs. And it shows under clothing.
I've altered the bra. I've shorten the gore ( just pushed the wires in the channels to free about 2 cm and cut the extra fabric in the gore part, then sewed it back). And also I've shorten the straps ( this is very usual for me, as the straps are almost always not short enough ). Now it is perfect!

This was recommended to me for a round silhouette. It definitely provides! Unfortunately, the tops of the cups are huge. I have plenty of projection in the bottom near the wire and the fit is perfect in that respect. The wire width is also perfect. It's a pretty bra and I can see why it's a favorite for so many. For me, I'm not sure if I should try sizing down, or just mark it off as a shape mis-match. I'm going to take in the lace to get a better fit rather than send it back.

I'm not satisfied with quality. After only 2 month of not often wear the band looks quite poor. It's not stretch out, it's snug enough to be comfy, but the quality of yellow part is not good and it looks very used.

It's not the perfect fit, but the bra is quite comfy and I like polka dot design so much. The band is closer to 28 and the cups are quite closed on top but true to size. I have some wrinkling at the apex on my smaller side, but it's not visible under clothes. Breasts have very front and center position, but the bra gives not perfectly round shape.
Upd. I've cut out the lining from the upper section of the cup. Zia became more FOT friendly( and sexy, to my mind) and I have more room for my fully days

    • It looks very nice with the lining cut out. I think about doing the same with mine. Does the top part feel less supportive or is it the same fit as before just with a bit more room on top?

    • I never need great support from the upper part of the bra. So I'm not sure about this, but more upper room with the same wire size is always welcome.

    • Thank you!

I also need a bit more room on top in this one.

Finally, I have something approaching my size in the rose print Mimi! I was reccommend to try the Mimi by hurrrrrmione as it might suit my FOT shape, as the Panache Petra I was wearing is better for FOB....unfortunately I still get some quadding on my larger size, but it's a much better match for my shape and I'm keeping this for the moment. The print is beautiful, I get great Marie Antoinette cleavage and it's very comfortable (the band is pretty stretchy so it's best to size down if you're inbetween sizes). I have a Mimi in 30F leopard print (which is definitely too small) ... and the rose print version has much softer, silkier fabric covering the cups. The detailing is especially lovely - the delicate lime green trim is gorgeous and makes all the difference - it really enhances the look of the bra and elevates it to something quite special for this price point. The wires are a tiny bit too wide for me, but still a lot narrower than most, especially for UK lined styles. In short, it's a bit of a treasure, and I'm very happy to have it, even if it is slightly too small in the cups.

The band on this is waaaaay too loose, it fits like a 30 band. Band runs more true to size in the black colorway. Cups were too small for me, so there were some in-cup quadding despite the stretch lace, the wires were too short on the sides, and the cups weren't tall enough. This also causes wrinkles on the outer fabric of the cup. Because of its stretch lace it works well for fuller-on-top breasts or breasts with tall roots. The gore was too high and wide for my super close-set boobs so it was rather uncomfortable. Not a fan of the appearance - don't really like polka dots and the color combination isn't exactly very appealing. But functionally speaking it's good quality.

I tried the pink Marcie in 28F and loved it, so I thought I'd love the red one just as much. Turns out it's true that the pink one runs smaller. I thought the red Marcie fit until I realized that I wasn't actually filling the top; the bra had just slid down my ribcage. When I pulled it back up into my IMF, the cups were totally wrinkling and empty. 28E probably would have been a better fit in the non-pink colorways.

This bra is a great fit for me! With one exception. The gore is slightly too tall so it hits the "bend" (what word is correct for that?) in my sternum which forces the bra sit slightly lower than it should. I am going to research the measurements in sister sizes for one with a slightly shorter sternum The shape looks really good on me, which is rare. My tissue is extremely soft - pendulous, narrow roots, center full, projected. The stretchy cups make me look symmetrical - it removes what is usually a very obvious discrepancy between my larger side and smaller side. I think this bra is GREAT!

This bra is so pretty but I can't decide if it fits well enough.

I don't get any quadding but the gore is only lightly tacking. On the sides I don't find it's sitting on any tissue, so I don't think that's the issue. I'm thinking it might be that the gore is too wide, a shape mismatch, or a the cups are slightly too small (unfortunately I sized down since I think a 28E might be too big based on others reviews).

After trying a cleo mimi in 28E I've realized I need to size up so looking to exchange.

This would be a great summer bra, it's made of very light mesh. Unfortunately this thin and stretchy material doesn't provide enough support for my soft and saggy breasts, so there is in-cup quadding at the seam between the cup mesh and lace. This is a shame because otherwise this bra is very comfortable to wear and encapsulates my projected, narrow-rooted breasts well.

Very tight band (typical of Cleo lol). I think I lack the upper fullness to fill out the top of the cups, and there is a strange bulge, especially where the lace part connects to the rest of the cup.

The detailing/embroidery on the lace is actually really cute and I didn't notice as much in pictures! It definitely adds to my opinion of the bra.

I think this could be more of a FoT bra (I'm pretty even), or maybe I just need to try a size down, I'm not sure! My tall roots are definitely affecting the fit at the top, but even if my ... breast tissue were concentrated lower I don't think I would have enough tissue to fill out the top. I will update review later.

Edit: removed the following because it was simply due to the underwires being pushed to the other end of the wire channels:
"I think the gore was bent outward and is the reason why it doesn't sit perfectly flush on my skin, but it's also migrating sideways as if it were too wide. I've never had a problem with wide gores, so I think that it may just be because the gore is bent too far. I will try to bend it back some and see if it helps."

    • Sorry this is not entirely relevant to your entry, buuuuut since you said that very tight bands are typical of cleo bras, I was wondering if you think that they are just very tight or perhaps just very uncomfortable (fabric etc). I ask because I literally just (like 10 mins ago hah) made my own extender for my Cleo Maddie 28D. When I first got it I thought that the band fit well, like pretty tight but maybe that was how it was supposed to be, but when I went to put it on the next day it immediately hurt. So I just made the extender thinking that that would help with the underwire pain. Seemed to at first, but after 10 mins I'm already uncomfortable again!!! And making the band any looser would be ridiculous (can already fit a whole hand).

Is it Cleo? Is it the Maddie in particular? Or is it just me?

    • betty2 Thats totally fine! This is for the Cleo Natasha. Some people do find Cleo bands uncomfortable because of the fabric (kind of scratchy, I guess), and others are uncomfortable from the tightness of the band. I don't mind the tightness, as I prefer really firm bras, but it definitely was tighter than I expected lol.

Where is your discomfort coming from? Maybe the wires need to be more padded to suit your ribcage? Are the cups staying in place or are they moving out of your inframmary fold? I had a bra that refused to stay in my inframmary fold, which made the underwires

    • (cont.) hurt pretty badly. betty2

    • It's beautiful, and it does look like it's fitting you properly from your photos.
Try bending the gore and report back to see how it feels!

    • KariNicole Interestingly, it does look like it fits better in pictures than I think it does irl. The top lace part really does some crazy stuff in reality!! I will let you know my new opinion of the bra next time I wear it, haha

    • tiggaren haha okay!
I hope it fits Better next time you wear it!

    • It looks 100% better on you than it did on me!
wow! :) I don't remember bending the gores wires but if I did, it's because I was getting stabbed probably. :)

    • or it might be because I moved the wires to the outside of the wire channels. :)

    • It looks gorgeous on you!!

    • Thanks for responding tiggaren ! You know, I think it's both (the tightness and the fabric). Before using the extender (after one day of wear) the underwires were really hurting me at the gore and my back was kind of itchy, and I assumed that both were due to it being too tight. After using the extender, I noticed that the underwires felt slightly better but still kind of hurt, and the itchiness was still there. I think maybe the lining on the underwires isn't thick enough for me and the fabric is just uncomfortable. Both would make sense since I have kind of a bony rib cage and sensitive skin.

Loosening the band definitely did help a little though. I actually read that women with smaller busts (me compared to you) often prefer a slightly looser band. The logic being that a tight band's purpose is to offset the weight of the breasts and distribute it more evenly around the band. So if there's less weight, the band isn't counterbalanced in the same way and just digs into the wearer. This made a lot of sense to me when I read it and I think I've decided to stick with 30 bands since they provide adequate support for my smaller breasts and are far more comfortable for me to wear.

    • Haha thanks Nayanya!! I will check on the wire channels, that didn't even cross my mind. The weird lace gapping at the top didn't show under the shirt I wore yesterday, so I think it will be part of my daily rotation :D

Ohh I hate it this painful thing. the wire at the gore sit on top of my tissue and I get orange in a glass effect, there's bunched-up unfilled fabric below the top edge of the cup. On one breast I get pain in my outer side because I think this bra is forcing my boobs too much inward. Cups too short for my tall roots and I feel like I'm spilling out and unsupported.

Me: tall roots reaching collarbone, very close-set (touching), average to narrow width, shallow, splayed east-west, FOT or even (unsure), centre-full horizontally (for this reason I don't usually wear plunges), high set, short torso, broad shoulders, size asymmetry.
