I was unsure of my size, so I ordered this bra in 34D (sister size to my usual 28F) and 34DD (sister size to 28FF), 34 bands due to availability, meaning to alter them down. After trying the bras on, I was still unsure which fit better, so I just kept them both. I still haven´t actually worn them a whole day/night, just tried on. I was waiting till I wore them both more to write reviews, but heck, the reviews have been waiting long enough!
review for 34DD: it feels as good on as the 34D, no quading, all good, but in the pics I see that I ...have "orange in the glass" going on. Meaning that the cups collapse, I don´t fill them at the bottom. When I pull the cups up with my hands, they look good. So theoretically I think it can be worn with the straps to get a good fit. Gore is the same in this size: floats a bit at the bottom, but elsewhere tacks.
(review for 34Dhttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Now that I took pictures, I can see that 34D (28F) is better size for me. It looks like I fill the cups completely, there´s no quadboob, and wires sit comfortably. The center gore floats a bit at the very bottom, but tacks elsewhere. I have shallow, wide boobs with tall roots. So if you have similar shape and also have troubles finding strapless bras that won´t cut in at the top, this might be for you!)
This bra was fitted for me at Bravissimo in London.
The fitter recommended that I wear it on the tightest setting. I actually found that after a few hours it was really uncomfortable and digging in to me which was a surprise for me as I've been wearing underwire bras for years with very few issues and wondered why women often complained about them. I finally decided to wear it on the second hook which improved things comfortwise but now only a few weeks later after very little wear it has apparently stretched because I need to wear it on the tightest setting again. Seems that maybe I ...need a smaller band to allow for stretching?
The underwires dig in under the arms but they don't seem too high or too narrow so maybe it's just my body shape that's causing it.
After a few minutes of wear the centre gore does seem to come away from my sternum a small amount.
The straps are only just long enough for me.
Update: Initially I had problems with my Cleos when I first got them - the straps seemed to want to cut my arms off and the centre gores seemed too wide. I guess I've grown into them because they're now my favourite bras and I no longer have those issues.
As with all of my Cleos, the wires are possibly a bit wide for my chest but they're comfortable and leagues ahead of anything else I've tried.
Weight gain has also resulted in me wearing my Cleos on the loosest setting. Hopefully I won't have to start looking for 32F's soon Read more 158 more words
My shape: center-set teardrop with very wide and very tall roots, very close-set tissue in the middle, and firm tissue that doesn't take compression well.
I just received this bra in a swap. The print is pretty cute, and although the combination with the lace seems a little strange, I could probably grow to like it. Unfortunately, this is just a big shape mismatch for me. First, the cups: There's definitely not enough immediate projection at the bottom, and even though the cup isn't molded or even padded, it still slips down to try and seat the breast in the most ample part. On the other hand, there is ...way too much projection on the top, which means that this sits like a bullet bra on my super tall and shallow-esque roots. The very top edge is actually almost the right size, but there is a lot of extra fabric between there and the apex, which just means that I don't think this is very good for tall-roots (maybe not FOT either? Not sure, because I am not FOT).
The fact that the cups ride down also makes the wires dig into my center tissue. I think they would be a little more comfortable if I could get them to sit half an inch higher, even though at that point they would be solidly on top of my boobs, but no luck. The gore is also a little too wide, but that happens with lots of bras for me, so not necessarily a mark against this one. Either way, after 20 minutes it's pretty irritating, if not exactly the painful bruising I have experienced with other problem gores.
The wires are strange. I don't think they take up the whole channel because the top edge of the band under my arm is distorted by the breast tissue pushing on it, but I can't seem to shift them along inside the channel, either. As is typical with almost all bras, they are also slightly too steep of a curve for my roots, but as is also typical, it doesn't bother me much. What does bother me is the end of the wire poking me there because it's too short, and if it could just reach the top edge it wouldn't be.
The fabric feels a little cheap, I think, but it is smooth and soft enough that there is no scratching or itching.
The band might be a little too tight on me, actually, but aside from the slight bulging of the fabric on the wings, it's comfortable and I can still pull it away from my back enough for 2 fingers. A 32 on the second or tightest might have fixed this, but I can't find my extender to check, and I probably won't be ordering a different size because of the aforementioned issues.
The straps adjust long enough for me. There is a slight dig at the front of my armpit when I go to reach across myself, but that is more likely the edge of the cup, and also would probably be aided by loosening it another hook or two. Read more 408 more words
Sadly, this bra was a complete failure on my FOB, middling-narrow, soft breasts. Wrinkling at the tops of the cups, too-wide wires, and what the *heck* shape was this bra made to fit?
Writing this review over a year later, I can still remember the view from above: the underwire, tucked further under my armpits than I had seen since my last failed attempt at Curvy Kate and their test brand Flirtelle. A slight rounding just past that, then at least 2" of flat, straight boob side-surface leading to a point that wasn't just visible through clothes, but probably from *space*-- I had thought that the pink Panache Tango II I had worn when I fit a 32HH had made my breasts look pointy, but this took it to a whole other level.
Perhaps on someone with wide yet projected, perhaps conical breasts, this would be a great bra. A shame it didn't work for me, as the "bubble" print and black mesh upper looked super cute in spite of the really strange shape.
Whoah, I was NOT prepared for how wide the wires of this bra are! They're "only" 7.5" or so, but they feel wider than that, and wrap around toward my back. I'm even wearing the bra with an extender! If I hook the bra on its own, the wires take up most of the band space. On a smaller woman, it would truly wrap to their back! I can't imagine this bra on a true 34-band person. The east-west action is pretty pronounced, too. Because so much of the cup was on my sides, there wasn't a whole lot of projection. It did not fit me, and I had unacceptable levels of quadboob. I'm very disappointed, because a 34J ought to be just about the same as a 36HH, which I wear. Perhaps there was a major shape mismatch at play.
On the plus side, the heart embroidery was quite cute, the fabric felt sturdy but not rough, and the color ("coral") seemed like it wouldn't show badly under clothing. Such a shame it didn't fit.
This bra brings my breasts fully into the cup and against my chest. After breastfeeding i have stretch marks around the base and center of my breasts. In poorly fitting bras this has left me with a deflated look and spill over the tops of cups. The Juna brings all the tissue up and in to create a beautiful roundness that i haven't seen upon myself in years! - update- This has been my every day bra for a few years and is holding up very well!
I bought this together with the 30F to compare and this was more successful in terms of fit. Not much to say about the looks, other than I do like it. I like blue, and I like that the straps is a brighter blue and there’s a bright pink bow for contrast. I do wish the cups didn’t have the black overlay since I already have enough black bras.
In terms of fit, it’s very similar to the Pixie I own. It has the same spandex-like material for the band and it’s also a bit tight for me, I’ll be wearing an extender until it loosens up. ...Cups fit similarly and gives a nice rounded shape. I like that it has stretch lace on the tops of the cups which prevents digging in on the top edge if you're fuller on top. It doesn’t have a second layer of mesh so it will actually stretch. I’m not sure if it's the same in the larger sizes, but in this size range it didn’t.
The wires are a bit problematic for me. I generally don’t do well with high gores as they tend to dig in and my boobs sit close together. I’ve already bent the wires out, but the bra still requires some breaking in before it’ll really be comfortable. The width of the wires is ok.
Overall, I like this bra and the shape it gives, but it will require breaking in before it’ll be comfortable. Read more 141 more words
First of all, I love the look of this bra. I'm normally not a pink girl, but this soft coral/salmon color looks great with my skin tone! The white polka dots look like they were sponge-painted on, giving them a delicate vintage-y appearance. I usually size up to a 32 band in cleos (I wear a 30 in everything else) so the wires don' t get stretched back.
As for the fit:
Meg wants to be your best friend, there to support you from the bottom, sides, AND top. She's also got really high expectations and wants to lift you up where you belong. Like her Cleo sisters, ...she thinks your boobs should be front, center, but she adds in a lot of uplift. This means that the bottom of the cup is a little shallow, and the apex is unusually high. Despite my usual need for immediate projection, Meg works for me. I don't know if its the cut or the material, but she takes my dense boobs and pushes them right up and center. I get some odd wrinkling around the cup (probably strain from Meg pushing my firm tissue around), but nothing is visible under a shirt.
Sadly, I can't quite fill out the top of the cup. Tightening the straps minimizes the issue, but doesn't eliminate it. Maybe my boobs are just a little too firm and won't conform to Meg's expectations. If I take a deep breath and pull my shoulders back, I fill out one side almost perfectly, but the other still has a little gaping, regardless of how I tighten or loosen the strap. This bra has a surprising amount of projection for a moulded cup. It creates a nice rounded shape, and like its unlined sisters, puts the boobs up front. That being said, it is a size too big and thus too tall for my short boobs. If I take a deep breath and stick my chest out, it looks much better, but standing and breathing normally, you can barely glimpse my boob above the cup. I want to try this bra in a cup size down to see if it works better, as it was quite comfy.
Happy surprises: Some immediate projection in a moulded bra? Whhaaatt?? Yes. No ...east-west appearance. More projected than the freya deco and freya deco halfcup.
Minor issues: The top of the cup is pretty thick, and a line can be seen under thin shirts. I'm not sure if this is because the bra is too big for me and the top sticks out more, or if it would still be an issue even if I sized down. I had some discomfort with the band, but I usually size up to a 32 in Cleos, so that may be why. Read more 87 more words
Thanks for the feedback, what can I do to improve this review?
Oops, my mistake, really sorry, there's noting wrong with your review at all ritzyrunnergurl I've reversed my vote. I had completely the opposite experience with this bra but that's probably a shape issue..
Haha, yeah it's funny how much boob shape totally changes things. I do think this bra might have been a cup size big for me - I usually wear a 30f/32e in cleos, but I suspect a 30f would be too tall for me anyway.
Just got this a few hours ago in the mail. I initially ordered it because someone mentioned it being decent for wider breasts (and it was on sale, so I could afford to make a mistake.) I'm pleasantly surprised. The wires are a little too low under the armpits for my taste (I like them a bit higher) but my breast tissue doesn't escape so it works. The cups don't cut in on top and the gore lies more or less flat.
My only gripe with this is how poorly it masks my asymmetry, but that's more because it's padded (as opposed to merely lined.) As it is, I have to wear a cutlet with it, but I still like this bra a lot (and maybe now I can go try out a strapless of the same kind! I'm still trying to find a good strapless.)
The Koko Icon strapless is basically a strapless Neve. In fact, Neve comes in a strapless too but it's been replaced by the Koko so you may not be able to find it anymore.
I've read that the Koko Icon is a tiny bit narrower (which would be problematic) so I'm going to try to keep an eye out for the Neve, but thank you for the information! Either way, they'll likely be better than the strapless bra that gave me blisters XD
In my experience as I tried both versions of the strapless, they were identical. Identically terrible on me lol, but identical.
Well, thanks for the info! I'll be stalking eBay for them, since they seem to be out of stock everywhere selling them cheaply. I'm really curious to see everyone saying the band runs a size small. My tight underbust is 29'', so theoretically if it did I shouldn't be able to wear this comfortably, but I found it on the tight side of comfortable.
My tight UB is 27" & I couldn't comfortably fasten the 28 band Koko I tried & the 30-band Neve was more than tight enough.
Maybe I just got one with a stretchier band...? I'm checking my measurements for this bra and it stretches out to just about 30.5 inches, which may be why it works for me (my difference between tight underbust and comfortable is basically an inch and a half, so...)
Maybe so! Probably wouldn't hurt to try a couple sizes.
The Cleo Minnie is the best fitting bra that I own. The Minnie's shape is front and center, which is compatible with my own. It gives a more rounded shape than my Freya plunges, but less than the Cleo Lily. I think it's well made, and the pictures give an accurate representation of its appearance IRL.
I have short, narrow roots, and am even FOT/FOB with lots of inner fullness and average projection. My biggest problem with bras in my size is that the wires tend to be too tall and stabby under my arms, and cups tend to be too tall at the strap ...and the wings. Although the Minnie's cups are still technically too wide, the wires, wings and cup height are low enough to be comfortable. Because my breast tissue does not extend to the outer sides of the cup, the 10" cup depth is just about perfect for my 9" breast depth. The embroidered mesh at the top of the cup angles in perfectly for me. I did need to bend the wires at the gore for comfort when I first wore the bra, but it's been comfortable since. Oh, and it's very supportive, too.
I own this bra in 2 colors. The Sky Blue fit TTS from the beginning. I wore the Navy with an extender for the first few weeks but it now fits TTS. Read more 132 more words
I too am short, narrowish, even with centre fullness and Minnie is my best too!
Hi, I don't know if you'd find it helpful, but my profile page contains a quick summary of how various Cleos fit, with Minnie as the baseline. Maybe I'll get around to writing reviews, but until then....
I'm not usually one for bright colors, but the vibrant purple and splash of pink are really cute. The mesh is weirdly soft! I noticed that it completely lacks side boning, which feels a little weird and sad, but I don't think it affects fit in my case.
The fit is eh-more-or-less-okay. The wires are a smidge wide and the wings are lower than I'd like, and there's a hint of extra space up top, but it's comfy and supportive and the wrinkles dont show under clothes so I don't mind the mild wrinkling at all. The band is nicely snug around my currently 26" or so ribcage even though the numbers say that it stretches all the way to nearly 31", probably thanks to the type of elastic or something.
This bra is super cute! It gives a nice rounded shape, although with the one seam it can be slightly pointy depending on the angle you look at it. The top is slightly gape-y on me, so it could probably fit full on top boobs fairly well. The straps are somewhat short in my opinion, they fit me fine as long as I loosen them almost all the way, so if you are tall or have low set boobs that could be an issue. The band is nice and snug which I love!
I think I might be one of those rare people for whom Jude actually works! I recently found out that I am not a 32DDD, but a 28G, so I've been trying on lots of different bras to find ones that fit comfortably. After a good many failures, I stumbled upon Jude and its replacement, Cleo Neve Plunge T-shirt Bra (7196) . After reading countless reviews, I decided to go with Neve since everyone seemed to like it so much better.
Let's just say there have only been a few times in my life that I've felt regret similar to the regret I felt wearing Neve ...for an entire day.
Jude, on the other hand, is pretty great, and works for me in all the areas where Neve failed. Jude's band is tight but comfortable on the loosest hook, and while I am conscious more often than not of the underwire against my ribcage (more on the left than on the right for some reason, but this is common with all bras for me), it doesn't hurt; with Neve (same size), the band was painfully tight, and even with an extender I still ended up with sore ribs. Jude's underwire comes up a comfortable distance beneath my armpits; Neve's wires came up too high and constantly stabbed me just under the armpits, so I'd keep (futilely) having to adjust it all day (these issues together were bad enough that my friend thought I was either going to burst into tears in the office bathroom or just light the bra on fire right there). The straps and cups on both bras feel about the same width (I got rid of Neve before I purchased Jude so I don't have exact measurements to compare), but I feel like the cups themselves might be a slightly different shape. With Neve I ended up with the same problem I had with the equally disappointing Freya Deco Moulded Plunge Bra (4234). The cups were filled at the bottom and I had a bit of quadding on the inside edges of the cup, but there was a gap where the top of the cups met the straps unless I was standing with absolutely perfect posture (which, sorry, Mom, I am usually not). The gaping issue didn't go away even after scooping, so maybe the cups were too tall for me or I'm just not full enough on top to fit them properly. In any case, I don't have those issues at all with Jude, which fits nicely with no gaps or quadding or empty spaces. In short, I'm super happy I went against the crowd and gave Jude a shot. It doesn't give me as much cleavage as I thought it might (which is fine), and I know the hot pink trim and straps will show through thin shirts (also fine, since I have a solid black bra for just this purpose), but it's pretty comfortable and gives me a nice silhouette that's not melon-round but also isn't pointy/conical, a problem I had with some of the other bras I've tried recently. Overall it's a great t-shirt bra for me, and I'm assuming once it stretches out a little and I get more adjusted to wearing tighter bands in general, it'll feel even better. I'd definitely recommend that anyone having similar issues with Neve try Jude instead before giving up completely. Read more 460 more words
Wow, congrats. I think you are one of 2 people I have ever seen here who posted about the Jude being a good fit!
The only bra that I could find that was a perfect fit for my younger daughter was the Cleo Jude in 28D (she's actually a 26DD). If she goes up a cup size six months from now, we're in trouble. For what it's worth, she had the same problem you did with the Neve gapping at the outer edges.
I know this bra is supposed to work like the Cleo Lily, but it isn't super comfortable for me. Not enough projection, cups cut in, a bit too wide (which I'm used to as I have extremely projected narrow/short rooted omega-shaped boobs), and the wires seems to cut into my sides a lot. The cups, although soft, don't have much stretch to them. I wish the Meg was still being made, as that is my favorite Cleo offering, but the Marcie and Melissa also work for me.
Oh, Maddie. I've tried this bra so many times over the past few years. I've tried it in pink, black, light blue and leopard print. I've tried it in 30FF, 30G, 30GG, 32F, 32FF, 32G and 32GG. There is nothing I can do to get this bra to fit. All I want is a simple, moulded balconette bra. Is that so much to ask? Apparently so. Where do I begin with Maddie. Bane of my existence, she's always on a rack and always on sale and so I keep trying. On the models, this bra looks gorgeous. On me, it makes my pendulous boobs look like bullets who ...are angry with each other.
I have soft, pendulous and high set boobs with shortish roots and am slightly full on top. I am reviewing the 30G because that is the size that should currently fit me best. The 30GG is too big and the 30G cuts in too much at the top. That is basically the story of my life with every Cleo bra I've tried except for 30GG - Cleo » Neve Plunge T-shirt Bra (7196) . The molding is also very stiff and the wires and cup edges go up way too high into my armpits. From the too-tight band to the unforgiving cups, this bra hurts. I also can't recommend it for petites. I honestly don't get how other people get a nice rounded shape. I get a funny oblong shape that points outwards. Why, Maddie? Read more 144 more words
This bra is very comfy and it fits well. It gives a good shape without being too pointy or too round. I feel like the top of the cups are a bit wider than they should be, which causes slight gaping, but not enough to be a problem.
There are no visible seams but I don't like how far back the straps are and you can see the bumpy texture of the design through thin shirts.
I'd say this bra would work well for someone needing fairly narrow wires and immediate projection, along with a lot of upper fullness (which I don't have).
I'm even to full on bottom, projected, fairly narrow, and pendulous. I'd say the band and the wires are a good fit for me. The band does stretch to 33", but it's plenty firm, and I wouldn't size down. The major issue for me is the cups have a lot of empty space at the top. I'm not sure if the cups simply run large, or if the bra just wants a lot more upper fullness than I have. I'd really need to try a 32F to know for sure.
Thanks for sharing! I think the height of the gore indicates that the cups are really just too big... No idea if 32F will work for your shape, but it does seem worth trying.
One of my current favorites. It is very dimilar tovthe Minnie, but the lower part of the cup seems a bit shorter, which means my nipples hit the seam where the lace meets the fabric which sometimes shows a bit.
The colors are nice and summery, and I like the neon pink straps.
It gives me very uplifted, front and center, narrow boobs, which I like very much under certain clothes. However, viewed from the side and top my boobs are a little bit pointy, but not in an unattractive way. I hear many people say Cleo gives them very round boobs, but I find that most unlined Cleos (especially those with stiffer lower cup fabric, like this one) give me this same slightly pointy look. The Marcie is an exception.
Thanks for the feedback, what can I do to improve this review?
