Bra is overall good, but even if the Marcie has one of the narrowest gores, it is still too wide for my close set breasts. The cups are tighter then the cups on the Cleo Hettie and Jasmine, but still fits me just fine.
Best fitting bra I've owned so far. Band on black runs tight, but I got used to it eventually. Wires a little wide for me, but fine. High gore pokes me though.
This bra seems like it may fit 1/2cup smaller than most. The straps aren't too wide set for my narrow shoulders, though it is borderline. The band seems spot on, but the cups dig in near the gore more than anywhere else.
This bra is gorgeous. Unfortunately, it's a little closed on top, which causes it to dig in a little bit on my larger breast, and wrinkle on the smaller one. This is mild enough that I would probably keep it, but enough of the support to keep the band down digs in a little on the upper edge that I don't love this bra. Overall, this seems really well made, and the longline band stays down quite well.
This bra is very pretty; I have the rose print! The foam on the cups and the binding on the upper edge are quite thick; it seems a little like a swimsuit padding. The cups themselves cut a little into breast tissue, and there isn't quite enough projection at the bottom of the cups. The wires/wings are a little low; the wires dig in a little bit on the armpit side, it seems like there isn't quite enough padding.
I just HAD to have this bra in the navy & red print when I was starting my bra trek. Cleo Natasha was my first true bra and I was jazzed over how well it fit, and figured this was similar enough and so damned gorgeous. It's plenty gorgeous, but too big for me most of the time. When I can fit it, I don't like the pointy shape and how the top ribbon cuts into what upper fullness I have. This bra also plays meanly with many of my shirts, the seams, wrinkles and ribbon making lines galore. The wires are too wide and leaves a lot ...of empty room in the sides. The gore is too tall and I'm very aware of it while wearing Meg, if not in a degree of pain later in the day. Meg has the infamous hard Cleo wires. I also feel very exposed in sheer bras, but that's just a personal issue. An altered 30dd fit my volume better most days, but every other fit issue remained.
The band seems like a tight 28, but certainly not a 26. The materials seem like they'll last a while.
I want to alter this to give a rounder shape once I have more sewing practice, but until then it's a cautionary tale in my bra drawer that gets worn around home every so often.
This bra isn't a bad fit, just a bit more wrinkling than I prefer since I have better fits. Not sure what's not working to cause them. Just slightly the wrong shape while Marcie fits me with fewer wrinkles!
Feels a bit wide, irritates my armpits some. Gives a nice shape. Band fits closer to 28 than 30. Cups fit true-to-size. Wider gore than some Cleos. Fuller cup shape. Very soft material.
I read reviews and decided I wanted this bra in 28E. Added to wishlist. Turns out this bra isn't made in 28E. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Why??
This 28F measures a bit big, but I had to try it. Yep, too big. A 30DD would be best, but I know the band would be loose.
Thoughts: Cup runs large, band fits large - between 28-30", not as terribly tall as I was expecting, stretchy straps, narrower gore, hard wires.
Appearance: this bra is lovely. It is less childish in appearance than many Cleo bras, which is a big plus for me. The bottom half of the cup seems to be double lined, so it is not see through (and is also incredibly supportive). The lace panel at the top is see through, and is very pretty with its polka dots without being overly fussy.
Fit: I have narrow roots and am projected with very soft breasts, but my roots are also tall and above the nipple my breasts are shallow. The lower section of the cup fits me perfectly, it allows for ample immediate projection and the wires ...are narrow enough that they don't bother me. The gore is quite high than I like, but this is a balconette so that is expected. It is not uncomfortably tall on me in any case (I do not have much inner-fullness). There is a lot of wrinkling in the lace panel at the top - I definitely need the stretch lace offered in Panache's Andorra bra or a less stiff material to accommodate my shallowness up top. Going down a cup size was not an option for me, as the 28E did not have the projection I need. I am not overly bothered by wrinkling at the top of the cup (I am used to it!) and it does not affect my shape under clothes at all. With that having been said, I am going to try altering the top section as an experiment!
The shape is up front, lifted and round. The material of the cup is supportive enough that it shifts my soft breasts forward and into the classic Cleo basketball shape. Gorgeous under both close fitting and loose tops.
The band is a tight 28. My snug underbust varies between 26.5 and 29, so I am between band sizes. I did not want to size up to a 30 in case the band stretches quite quickly, so I shall be wearing this with an extender. I think I need another inch on the band (if it had been more, I would have sized up).
The wires are very firm. At the moment they feel uncomfortable, but I am used to Freya bras with their super soft wires. And the bra is new - they may soften somewhat over time. Will update if they do. Read more 286 more words
I love the shape that this bra gives me. The straps and gore are slightly too wide for my frame, and I can definitely feel that I'm wearing it, but it's the closest thing I've found, so far, to a good style/fit (I'm still very new to all of this!). It digs slightly under my arms after wearing for a couple of hours, and the gore is maybe a half cm from tacking...I am needing to hook it on the tightest row, but with an underbust of 26in, I am thinking that all 28s will likely be this way. All in all, it's adorable, and fairly comfortable. I'll keep it until I can find my magic fit!
I recently lost weight and had to find new bras. This is my first new well fitting bra! My breasts fill the cups perfectly, although my larger breast can squish out a tiny bit, but my smaller breast fits great, no gapping. The gore tacks well, and my breast fill to the bottom of the cup, which was a problem for me previously having bras that would wrinkle at the bottom. I really like how firm the band is, I have it on the loosest clasp and it is tight but comfortable. I feel like my only complaint is that these don't come in more fun colors for the 28F.
This bra is so close to being perfect for me. While some of my bra bands have gotten stretched out with time, this band is the correct level of snugness and actually seems to do a good job supporting my breasts. The cups fit perfectly, and the side underwires are excellent. The ONLY PROBLEM is the high center gore, which jabs rather painfully into my ribcage. If it were even 1/2 an inch shorter, I think this would be the perfect bra; alas, t'was not to be.
Additionally, I can now see from the photos I uploaded that I have some quadboob. If I were to get this bra again–which I probably won't, given my problems with the high center gore–I would probably get it a cup size up.
I really struggle to get a good shape for my shallow, wide rooted breasts. This is the best shaped bra I've found for me. It gives a really good rounded shape that I like but that can also be be worn under lower cut tops. The straps are a bit too wide, as they are for many people which has left me with roughened, darker areas of skin next to my armpits if I wear it too often, and the band is too stretchy/big for my smaller than 28inch rib cage but it's the best one I've found so I put up with it. It's my staple bra that goes well under all clothes, including white/pale tops as its nude (and I wear a lot of vest tops) except plunging necklines when I'll wear Cleo Neve instead.
it looks to me like the band is riding up because you have overtightened the straps trying to get rid of the gaps from the mokded shape. I suggest going down to a 28E, this will shorten the cup, make the wires narrower and since the cup with technically be a bit small will also cause the band to be tighter. I like this bra as well, but where the straps are placed is too wide for the style of cup. I think you would like the 28E in this much better. Odd that the band runds so big for a Cleo, I remember mine being fairly true to size. And you really do not appear all that shallow to me, you look more centre full (don't confuse this with inner fullness).
I got a 7/7.5 inch depth which I’ve always found is shallower than most 28Es I’ve tried. It seemed confusing as I thought I should be a smaller size but in combination with my breast height and working it out on the calculator it makes more sense why my breast volume should fit a 28E, but the distribution of my breast doesn’t usually match up with the shape of the cups!
If I disregard the too tight band, I am getting a pretty decent fit. Had I not gained those 2kg in the last three months this bra would probably be near perfect. Currently wearing it with an extender. The wires are a little bit wide, so might need to bend them inwards after I take the measurements. Cleo bras fit me best when I am losing weight, not when gaining. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_confused.gif" alt=":-S" /> I am getting more upper fullnes and somehow my roots become taller. Update 2016: It's time to let this baby go - just not getting the desired fit with this bra.
I hate the material - it feels like plastic tarp. The bra looks and feels cheap in person. The fit is okay....the thin material makes the wires uncomfortable. The top of the bra is quite narrow, even for my teardrop shape. It gives an okay shape and good lift.
Need advice please! It's a pretty bra and seems to fit OK everywhere except fo the band being painfully tight and the side of the c ups being a bit big. I *think* I am more FoB and towards the centers. My measurements gave me a size 28F/30E. Could these issue be fixed by using an extender, and does it fit well enough to bother with one?
ALL comments and help are welcome! I am very new to this https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Thank you!
its easier to give advice if you post a fit request, because that way your measurements can be compared to the bra. But it never huts to have a couple of extenders around. I dont see the cups looking too big? But if the band is too tight, it might be flattening the cups, so they might be too big with the extender.
I'd say overall this looks like a pretty good fit, but I agree that the band is too tight on you. It'd be worth trying an extender I think (and its always nice to have a few lying around anyways)
dbmamazkermitdafrog21 Thank you both! I did post a fit request on this one. I will try with the extender I have later, but it stretches and adds a lot of length so that may or may not work. We shall see!
Very similar to Cleo Riley Moulded Shirt Bra (9141), but the lace on the top of the cup was more visible under shirts and it wasn't quite as closed on top. Color was impractical for me. Would purchase for keeps if it came out in a more neutral colorway.
Slight gaping near the straps and the top of the cup cuts in a little bit on my larger breast. The top of the cup seems a little more closed than Cleo Maddie Moulded Balconnet T-shirt Bra (7201), and I like that the fabric is smooth and plain instead of pinstriped. Gives great cleavage and doesn't show under tops for me. Keeps everything front and center.
I have this bra in the parrot print. The band runs tight, it's probably closer to fitting like a 26 band. It's a lot more closed on top than the Hettie, but upper fullness is still needed to make the upper section lay flat since it doesn't stretch. Overall I was disappointed with this one. I expected it to be more projected. It does have some immediate depth, but it's not enough. It's not comfortable because it feels like it's really smushing my boobs. I imagine this is what in cup quadding is. It gives me a very lifted, round, and super minimized shape. I don't appreciate how minimizing it is. This was one of the bras that made me realize I needed to delve into Polish bra.
The wires and straps.... strong deterrents for me. I can't tolerate the gore wires at all!
