I was sent the wrong size in this bra. I had ordered 28E and I think it would fit well in that size except for the band being a little too loose. It's closed on top, so good for those with short roots.
Too much padding! Both band and straps are too long. Not the best bra for a petite person. i had weird gaping in the center and breast escape in my armpits at the same time.
It's a really nice bra and looks almost new despite being owned by several others before. I am not sure about its fit on me but that's probably because I haven't tried on very many other bras since getting measured for my right size. It fits well enough to keep though!
This bra is altered and it is MUCH smaller than the measurements suggest. I think it would fit a 26E/F or 28DD/E well because of how small the band is and how shallow the cups fit. The alterations are not noticeable at all, but they are 100% there! Good workmanship for whoever did them originally, but unfortunately not a bra for me.
I wish I could order this bra in a plunge style; every fit issue seems to be due to the gore sitting too high on my chest, and even with that problem it is currently one of my most comfortable bras. The 'orange in a glass' issue is because the gore height limits how high the cups can sit - aside from the wrinkling, they contain and support very well. The tops of the cups do gap easily from trying to sit the straps closer together, but it seems to be more due to soft breast tissue and a full-on-bottom shape; the wire width is perfect, and a smaller cup size would have the wire sitting on breast tissue. I would definitely try more Cleo styles in future, since the band is snug enough to fit a 26, at least on the tightest hook, so riding up is minimal compared to other 28s I've tried.
November 2015: Now the cups are too small and cut in almost everywhere. There is visible strain on the cup seams. Rib cage is a little over 1" larger than before, so I need to use an extender again (it's also been resting for a few months so it's probably tightened up again). I've ordered a 28FF, and I'm afraid I should have got a 30 band. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Original review: When I first got this bra, I could barely stretch the band to 28", so it was painful and I had to use an extender. Over 6 months later, and it's definitely comfortable ...on the first hook, but on "less bloated" days I sometimes will have it on the second hook. I believe that since the cups are a tiny bit too deep for me, and the band tight, the cups are stretched wide so that the wire sits about a quarter inch beyond my breast tissue. Otherwise the wires are a bit narrower than my other two bras that fit perfectly. I fill the cups all the way, and only when I slouch is there a gap along the top. Overall, the bra is comfortable, but if I'm just slouching at my computer all day, my breasts and small rolls of skin under them sandwich the wires and smash them into my ribs, so when I finally "unfold" for the day and stand up, I have painful indents. This is easily remedied by me not slouching, which can be hard to remember sometimes. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> I would definitely recommend this bra if the Maddie fits, and Parfait Charlotte fits. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 178 more words
November 2015: I never reviewed this, but mostly because when I wore it, it fit me perfectly. My breasts quickly grew to need 28FF so I only wore this for a few months. It still has mostly the original cup shape, where it was concave on the outer sides which can be seen in the photos, and never had a chance to be reshaped by my breasts.
It's cute! The chartreuse ribbon and hooks and eyes are a little jarring against the raspberry, but not enough to make me want to cut the ribbon off.
Re band fit: the band is tighter than I expected, but I'm pretty sure a 30 band would be way too loose. After a few days of wear, I didn't need an extender anymore.
Re cup fit: there's some overspillage near the center gore and a little empty space at the top of the cups near the straps. I assume this is due to the particular shape of my breasts on my frame (a lot of inner fullness, some side sagging, ...and a bony upper chest).
edit 9/26/15: I've lost a little more weight and this fits more like it's supposed to, I think. There's still some empty space in the very top of the cups near the straps where the bra is just too wide for me, and that causes the tops of the cups to look like the rims of a glass under shirts, doh. I'm getting really tempted to just chop off the top corners of the cups and move the strap anchor an inch goreward. Read more 88 more words
One of my favourite bras which I have unfortunately grown out of - there's more of a problem with wires digging in at the sides than cup digging in at the top. Despite the decoration and embroidery, this bra left a smooth line under tops and I love all the orange stitching.
The bra is really cute, I took a chance on the 28F because I got it on sale for an amazing price. I'm usually a 30/32 and was hoping this would work with an extender, but I think I would have to use a couple extenders to make it work. I sold this before I had a chance to measure, so I'm not sure if it was a small band or true to size, just know it wasn't working for me. The cups did fit really well though, I might order another in a 32DD maybe, will have to check measurements to figure out what size to try.
This is just a weird fit. It cuts into my breast tissue on the sides and middle, but there seems to be a space in the top of the cup that I don't quite fill. It may also be too shallow for me, since there is an odd wrinkle in the bottom of one cup.
How was the band on this? I'm sub 28 and so the band tightness is always top priority for me.
