I got this bra because it's supposedly like the Lily, but the top of the cup is wrinkly, like it's half a size up (30DD + 0.5). It's not the exact top of the cup but more of about a quarter of the way down where there's a little extra fabric. It is otherwise very cute and fits pretty well, it just is a bit of an awkward shape. It's cute and I'll continue to wear it.
This bra is at least one cup size to small maybe 2 or 3! It gives me great cleavage and is comfortable to wear. I am not a fan if the color but it is a very vivid pink, which I know is popular! The band is more like a 28 and I think the bra is for average roots even shape and less inner fullness than outer fullness. I wear it with the shapes almost the longest possible to accommodate for it being too small. The straps cut into my upper tissue which has never happened before, I'm sure it's because the bra is to small.
Cleo's bras just have too short of straps for me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> The Lucy is good for those in the shallow spectrum, but I have a little too much upper fullness for this bra, and it cuts in just a little.
This review is for the swan print colourway. It's a very pretty bra, and the lime and black works well as a colour combination - the lime detail on the swan's beaks is very nice. Unfortunately it's about a cup size too big for me, and I would say 1/2 a cup size or maybe even a whole cup size bigger than my other 30DD Lily. The measurements say the cup is 0.7 inches deeper on this one!
This bra, contrary to the opinions of some, does not run small in the cups. The band runs 1" too tight, ie, it is a 30 band that only stretches out to 29". That being said, the 30DD cups are truly 30DD cups. They were too big for me. Luckily, I also ordered the 30D bra and that one fit.
Anyways. The wires are extremely broad and the cups are shallow. It is open at the top of the cups, so this is a good bra for those who have very broad roots, are shallow, and might be FOT and/or have tall roots.
CONS Stretches out very quickly and distorts it's shape
Both the gore and cups come up higher than I'd like, for my preference
Once the bra stretches out and gets worn in, it pushes breasts inward, so if you have little tissue on the outer part of your boobs, it can lend a slightly odd rounded end cone look. This also lends it to sit on center tissue, if you have a lot of it. I prefer a bra to keep what little tissue I have on my side boobs right where it is, rather than ...push it inward, where I already have a lot.
CONCLUSION Great bra for Even shapes, but be wary of how you take care of it, it's a delicate bra. Only wear it for a max of two days in a row, never ever sleep in it (I never did and it still lost its shape and elasticity,) and wash (gentle hand wash) every two days of wear or so, in cold water to snap it back into shape. I was not as careful, though not careless either, with how often I wore and washed it, and I do believe it's ruined the bra. Read more 101 more words
Finally get a bra that truly fits me! The cups are of right size and so is the band. *updated* After adjusting the straps to correct length, I do see this bra gives nice cleavage. Love it!
This bra's print is warm whereas, the Cleo bella's print is cooler. The bras seems really close as far as the design/print of the bra goes except for cool and warm toned colors. .
Basically I bought this bra because I love LOVE the print and because I guessed that the construction would work for me... It's really nice in person, solid in construction and true to size... unfortunately for me... I really wish I had a 28E!!! The band is snug enough right now I can probably get away with ~5 wears on the loosest hook, but I can already tell that I'm more comfortable on the second hook and can comfortably hook the last one. Oh well, it's beautiful and I love it anyway! One weird thing is that the straps are made out of the same material as the cups. ...That means that the straps vaguely look like they are stained or the color is washing/wearing off. It really shouldn't be noticeable for most people, but it was just something that caught my attention as weird while I was flaunting it all over the apartment while trying it on https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> Also, did I mention that I LOVE this bra's print?! Because I do. I love this print. For reals. Read more 74 more words
This review is for the A/W 2014 Raspberry colour. I think this is the fifth Marcie I've owned, and each one has been a different size from the last. I guess I must like them, because I keep buying them!
Baby's first unlined bra! Unfortunately the shape is completely wrong for me.
The gore tacks, the wires are great (goes up high enough, width is pretty close to perfect), the band is nice and firm for a 30, the straps are fully adjustable. However, the shapes of the cups are just not right for me. I barely fill out the bottom--no wrinkles--but the top bit is completely empty. My nipples sit way below the seams too, so I'm guessing this is way too big volume wise. However, the top edge is pretty much flush with my tissue despite it being empty. I'd probably start quadding if I were to ...go down a size. This would probably be good for someone with softer tissue and more projection at the apex.
The material, while mesh and see-through, is quite firm and doesn't have a lot of give or stretch. If it fits well, I don't think there would be prominent nipping issues. The band does stretch nicely, but I would say it's on the tighter end of 30s. The straps are of a nice width and aren't too bulky, but also quite comfortable. It doesn't feel especially wide, but with my small size, I rarely have that issue. Read more 96 more words
I have realized that this bra is actually a tad too projected for me, though I will still wear it. I would say I have average projection. The cup is gaping at the top. I wonder if a cup size down would fix it, but I honestly have no idea. I am no longer sure if I consider this to fit.
However, everything else seems to be pretty comfortable and it is cute!!
On me this fit exactly the same way the Cleo Lucy (5851) did. I have wide root shallow boobs with a high root (up to my collarbone) and I'm neither full on top nor full on bottom. The Kali's cups are quite closed on top and projected - on me, they cut in and wrinkled at the same time. Wire width was okay (I don't need super wide wires). To my surprise, the band was rather tight - think Marcie not Juna.
I have this bra in the beige "nude" color. It's a bit too dark to really work as a nude for me but it's a pretty respectable basic. This bra gives really great cakes on a plate cleavage. The band is a little looser than a lot of unlined Cleos, making me wish I would have gone with the 28 band and an extender to break it in, just in terms of it lasting longer. If you are between band sizes I recommend sizing down.
The only real downside to this bra is that the wings are very high, making it hard to wear with strappy tops or low cut shirts. The straps are also placed wider than most strappy tops are, so I'll be sticking with my Comexim's for under those, even if it does mean less oomph for the girls.
Fits comfortably, I sized down in the cup only as I am petite. Small amount of quadboob in the center, but no more than the stock photo shows, so not a concern.
That sounds like a good one for me.
