This band was surprisingly snug for a 30 which is good because I like that in a bra. The cups fit nicely and once I sew the lace down this bra will be a great addition to my collection!
There's a fair bit of wrinkling on the sides and across the front of the cup, but this is still a great fit for me for an unlined bra. The tops of the cups are a bit loose/baggy, but the seams hit me in just the right spots to conceal my nipple - a first for me in an unlined bra. I get a much better shape from the side, too, less ski-jump and more round with some actual fullness on top - I had no idea a size bigger would do that for me! It even looks nice under a snug t-shirt.
I love the color and pattern, and the actual shape of the cups is possibly the best I've found. However, there is just too much fabric, and the cups are deeper than I need. If this bra were still widely available, I might try going down a cup size. As is, I'm probably going to instead tack the cup fabric in at the gore and underarm to fix the problem.
Good coverage for shallow, wide set breasts, straps 1/2" too wide, cup gaps at top. Band is stretchy, but I only needed to go to the middle set of eyes to feel comfortable.
Decided to keep and alter the cup top to match my body shape. I plan on making a strap alteration later.
Me: narrow, projected, center-full. This bra: narrow, almost projected enough, slightly-too-wide gore. Quite comfortable, even without a perfect fit.
The projection is good, and the wires are a great width. The gore is a bit higher than I like, but bending the wires out solves that. I wish the gore was narrower since it sits on my boobs a little. With the straps being so short, the band rides up in the back a little.
This lovely bra was a complete disaster on me. It is way too small in the cups and the band. The band fits more like a 28 than a 30. The fabric though lightweight is supportive and can probably handle hefty boob weight. The style is based on Cleo Marcie. If Marcie works well for you, Zia probably will too.
This bra is so cute, and the cups are very soft. Unfortunately the center gore stabs me and I wind up with bruises after a day's wearing. Marcie is shaped like my beloved (sadly discontinued) Ellis, and my Marcies, but the center gore is completely different. Clearly Cleo occasionally has quality control issues, and Millie's gores have fallen short. I've bent the wires as much as possible, but eventually they reform themselves and they seem to get sharper each time I wear the bra.
A lot less wrinkling than I saw with the Lucy, very little in fact. The cups are filled well at the bottom and the lace at the top edge doesn't wrinkle, unless I stop pulling my shoulders back and relax my posture, in which case it gapes out along the top. It might run a bit high on me, as my nipples hit well in the bottom opaque portion of the cup instead where the seams meet. This bra is close but I just don't love it, even though it's adorable with that little button at the gore. The pink is a great shade, too, not baby pink but not hot pink either.
I'm a size 28E but I got this bra in a 28DD because it was on sale. It fits like a charm! The band is tight enough I can fasten it in the looset set of hooks without it riding up. The only thing I don't like about this bra is the pointy shape it gives to my boobs.
I own the Marcie in aquamarine, and I like it. It fits true to size, gives a nice uplifted and roundes shape even to boobs on the smaller end of the size spectrum. Also, it has wide wires and it's open on top, so it usually works well for wide root shallow boobs!
However, I have two complaints: 1) Even after several months of wear, and bending the wires, the center gore is stabbing me! It hurts pretty badly and leaves red marks and I cannot wear the Marcie for two days in a row. 2) The underwires are a 3/4 inch shorter than the wire channels. They move around in the channels, and you get an odd look either at the side wings or at the gore, because the channels are not filled completely and fold over.
I have a few fit issues with the Ellis: --The lace panel on top is quite loose and hard to get to lay flat. I'm pretty full on top and can fill out the Marcie no problem, but Ellis requires a very specific posture! --30DD/28E Cleos are usually either perfect or a little too small on me, but this style seems to run deeper. I get wrinkling at the sides of the cups. --Such a painful center gore!
It's still a lovely bra with a great floral print and it does look nice under clothing, as long as it isn't so thin it shows the wrinkling! Although it's a little too big for me, this bra really pushes my breasts forward and projects them. It seems hard to believe, but for an unlined bra, it's quite the maximizer!
I had this bra in 28E size and, with your great help, I decided that it would be a better fit (in the previous size I had, the band was extremely tight for me and the wires were a little bit pulled back). With this opportunity, I ordered along with Zia, one more bra: Cleo Bella balconnet in the same size, because the price was super ok and I wanted to experiment a little, knowing that Bella is a little more open on top.
As I said in the previous review, http://bra.pe/XIBv/, I have even to slightly FOB breasts...or this is what I believed. Buying this two ...bras with that little difference (openness of the top part of cup) made me confused about my boobs shape..and that's because Bella fits me better than Zia in the upper cup.
There isn't major problems, as I have no quadboobs and no space left in the cup, but as the top edge is resting on my flesh, it seems to have a little tendency of slipping down(a few mm) and creating a slight wave. I thought that maybe I can't fill the top and I checked, but there is breast tissue, it fills very well. Maybe the double layer is sewn weirdly or..maybe it's about my boob shape as... with Bella I have absolutely no problem.I am going to tell more about Bella bra, in its category http://bra.pe/S2n0/ . It doesn't disturb me, I still think it's the best fit I've ever had, but as I mentioned, this really confused me so much. You can see in the pictures what I'm talking about and you can see that it's no big deal(it is hardly visible, in reality too). Oh, and this sign can be more obvious on my smaller boob than my bigger one.(smaller=the right one, bigger=the left one)
About underwires, I had this problem with 28E: they were pulled slightly by tight band. Now, it's better. The pictures are the same, but judging by the light red marks they leave around my chest, I can say they are wider by 1/2 cm than it should, on my bigger boob, which I find it minor thing too. I feel it doesn't change the support or anything. I'd wish the wires had aprox. the same width, only the ends would go straight up and not diagonally (the last aprox 1 cm of them in the armpit area). This would be perfect, so that I just ordered Freya Arabella to make a comparison between Cleo bras and Freya.
It looks nice on me, and even nicer under my clothes: great lift and round shape!! I'm impressed!
It's really nice sewn, the materials are great (I didn't give it a wash yet, but they feel sturdy and resistant).
Tried this bra in a few sizes. Turns out it's the wrong shape for me, and this particular one is also too small. Even though I was quadding out the top of both cups, there was still wrinkling through the lace section of the right cup (my smaller breast). I was getting really unflattering multiple bulges out the sides of this bra as well. Although the underwires seemed wide enough (they left lines far outside of my inframammary fold), my boobs still looked like they were escaping out of the sides somehow.
Lots of cleavage when wearing this bra! My breasts fill the cup nicely with no need to readjust over the course of the day. The band is on the tight side - I do like firm bands but this is just a bit too tight for my taste. I'm still hoping it will stretch out (worn about 10 times so far) but it's fine for most of a day.
Really cute bra, but one size small for me. I purchased a 30E and it fits perfectly. I would say it runs true to size because I wear a 30E in most Cleo bras.
Excellent lift and rounded shape. Possibly the best I've ever had in an unpadded bra. Not much cleavage - more of a "locked and loaded" bra. The gore is a little high for me, but can still be worn all day. Band is snug. Fun, playful print.
Me: very soft tissue; Measurements: UB 68/72 cm (26.5/28.5"), Bust 87/92 (34/36.5")
Band: quite snug IMO, I would not size down.
Cups: this might be the most lifted and rounded shape I have ever had from an unlined cup! Really hikes them up there. I have a short root, so there is no funny gaping. The contrast color band is very cute, but looks like it cuts in because my breast tissue is very soft.
Sizing: I would normally wear a 30E in Cleo so this bra runs large in the cups.
Like the red 30D Marcie some months back, this just fit me perfectly the moment I put it on. Marcie seems to be my magic bra model https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />. The colour came out completely wrong in my pics, unfortunately. My camera made it look like a Brooke, whereas Marcie's aquamarine is really a teal, or a dark turquoise. Edit: I've also tried on a pink Marcie in this size, and it didn't fit me as well as the aquamarine Marcie. I think the pink cups are slightly smaller.
This bra fit all weird in my regular size. I went down a sister size and up a cup size (30DD to 28F), and it fit much better.
The fit issues were: - The wires were too short at the sides; they create a weird bulging look. - The band was too wide, no support. - Underwires poked into my sternum. - The seams showed through all T-Shirts.
In 28F, the gore is still poking, but I bent the wires and it's getting better.
