This bra is an unpadded balconette. The print is beautiful, bright and colorful. The upper part of the cups is lacy turquoise with yellow embroidery.
The shape and cut is NOT exactly the same as the Marcie. Underwire and band construction are similar, but Bella has an additional seam in the upper lace section of the cup, which makes it more closed on top.
I have even fulness and the lace wrinkled a little when I put it on (Libby described this as 'George-wrinkles', after the Cleo George Balconette (5731), the first Cleo bra with this cut). I get no wrinkles on the Marcie though.
Also, Bella seems to have a bit more cup depth than the Marcie, so it's ever-so-slightly more 'tubular shaped'.
This review is for the red version; my other Marcie is aquamarine. Oddly enough, the red is constructed differently! The underwire is a full 2cm shorter on this version so some breast tissue escapes out the sides. The fit is identical otherwise.
Fabulous bra! Wish I'd tried it a long time ago. I will likely own this in many colors. Fits like a glove, looks good, feels great, and it's cute. One of my favorites!
I had some quadboobing in my 30D Marcie, so I thought I would try the next cup size up. It is wonderful! Lace lies flat, cups are completely filled and don't gape, and my breasts are brought front and center really nicely. It is an unusually flattering unlined option for the smaller size range.
The band is firm, but I'm actually not sure anymore if I'd suggest sizing up -- the painful gore is a big distractor that just makes the band feel tight. I measure 28" loose, 26" snug and I think I'd do fine with the 28E with a little wire bending. It's very difficult now to find a 28E in aquamarine or red, so I'll stick with this one and experiment with the yellow version the day she is released... https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
This is the second Cleo Lucy that I have ever owned. I find that it fits a million times better than the 30E that I owned. The problem that I had with the 30E was that the gore stabbed into my sternum. I do not have any problems with this bra. I bought this bra from another user.
Perfect fit! Love the design, and it is very comfortable. The only issue is I am not used to a high centre gore (since I was mostly wearing plunge bras with a thin centre gore). Other than that, I LOVE this bra.
This bra is a great nude bra for under T-shirts. It fits well in the cups, however I wish I had the size in a 28E instead of a 30DD, as the band is a bit too loose for my preference, however it still does its job in supporting.
Of last seasons unpadded Cleos this is the one that seems most similar to the original George (in coral). It gave me a superior nice round and lifted shape, but also threw some serious "George wrinkles" in the thinner lace at the top of the cups. I didn't keep it because my bf didn't like the design (stupid me!).
I've kept Lana because of its soft material that feels very nice and comfortable (I haven't really worn this bra yet, however). Lana probably fits me best of all the unpadded Cleos from last season except for Marcie (in aquamarine - the pink one seems to have smaller cups). It gives my wide root shallow boobs a very nice round lifted shape, and there aren't any "George wrinkles".
The Neve seems very comfortable so far, but I haven't really worn it for a longer time yet. The wires are fairly wide and the cups pretty open at the top, so I'd recommend this bra for wide root shallow boobs. This bra gives my boobs a great round shape, but the moulded cups gap a bit at the top when I move around, e.g. stretch my arms forward. I don't really like purple, hence the low appearance rating from me. (I kept the bra despite its colour, because I'm desperate - I've grown out of almost all of my padded bras - and I don't like the new colourways any better; they're boring IMO).
This is the first bra I've found which really seems to fit me well. I had never worn a soft-cup before this bra, and it's incredible! It's hard to believe that this bra creates a look that's as full or fuller than my old padded 32B's! The Lucy does give me a more traditional teardrop shape rather than the more modern rounded shape. I love the fabric and the lace on the top of the cup. So far it's very comfortable and has worn well. This bra is definitely my new standard.
Edit: After a few months, I had some tissue migration and am much more full on top. Now both my black and pink Lucys cut in along the top of the cup, and only my white Lucy is still wearable! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
I think this style is pretty similar to the Cleo Marcie (6831). The cut and the seams on the cups are identical. The band runs tight for a 30 as well. However, it seems to run slightly smaller in the cups than the Marcie, and the wires felt narrower. Maybe this is because it's made of a different fabric - Marcie is all-over lace, Melissa is made mainly from solid fabric. I also got slight wrinkling in the upper part of the cup, but I've been told this is not a sign of bad fit in this case.
Well, I keep buying this bra in new sizes every time my breast tissue migrates, so I surely like it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />. This one doesn't fit me perfectly, but well enough to create the typical very nice rounded shape. I have to admit, though, that Marcie fits me better. This was also the case when I wore both bras in a 30D.
I had such high hopes for Marcie, but it's just wrong for me in every way https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
The 30DD is too small, but whereas I can get away with it in the 30DD Lucy, the Marcie's wires dig in painfully both underarm and at the gore. I also have terrible quadboob. But the 30E, whilst perfect in the wire width, does nothing for me in the cup, except flatten me out and give me a most un-Cleo-like east-west appearance. I might give the 32DD a try to see if that helps, but as the band and wire placing is fine on the 30E, I'm not optimistic.
Such a shame, pretty Marcie https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
This bra is beautiful and comfortable. However, it gives me major quadboob on my larger breast, and minor quadboob on my smaller one. The band also rides up quite a bit (should be in a 28E, but sister-sizing increases options to much!). I love it, but it just is not the right fit for me. A size up, unfortunately, sounds far too wide for me... so I think I need to say goodbye to the Juna line https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
This bra is beautiful to look at. The fabric is a delightful pattern of magenta and periwinkle flowers against a cascade of lavender and aqua leaves. The top of the cups is a netted lace with embroidered magenta flowers. I adore this bra and so wish it would have been a better fit on me. As I understand this bra is in the same cut as the George (which for the most part fit me well). But this cut seems to emphasis the slight difference between the size of my breasts to a degree more than any other bra I've tried. This may be merely a defective bra, as some of the stitching on the cups is off which does seem to be affecting the cup's shape.
Edit: after some migration I think this bra is a little too small for me now, though still wearable and comfortable. It must run large, as there's no way I'd fit into a 30DD in any other unpadded Cleo, and the 30E is much too big for me.
