EDIT: I found out that the bizarre shape was from the back being too tight and warping the cups (didn't know this could happen!). I popped on an extender and it's much better! It's still probably 3/4 to a full cup size small, but since I've lost weight The cups almost fit. I think I'm probably between a 30GG-30H in most bras now, but I would probably fit into a 32GG or 32H in this style. I waited too long to return it so I'll just keep wearing it with an extender. Even not quite fitting right it's very comfy, I imagine it would be amazing if wearing ...the exact right size.
This bra is easily a cup size too small to be a 30H, maybe even 2. It gives me severe quadding at the top. The band is a little bit tight also, but I'm not sure if it's tight enough that I could go up a band size. I think part of the problem also might be the shape, because it's very closed on top and the apex of the cup is almost a little pointed and if the bra is loose anywhere it's right there. It also flattens out the middle of my chest and pulls everything towards the outside of my torso. I'd say my shape is between full on top and well rounded. The material is really soft and I like the construction of it, it seems like it would be really comfortable if it fit at all. It's super cute and I wish it fit, but I'm going to try and return it.
I think if you're full on bottom, wide-set and have more of a conical breast shape this bra would work really well, but the sizing seems very off regardless of shape. Read more 191 more words
I'm really surprised by how many people are saying this bra runs large in the cup. I'm slightly FOT, but not by much. Marcie fits me perfectly, but the Blake in the same size fits weird. It wants to cut in at the top, but then the front (just the front) slips down...I think maybe it's because it's stretchier and the band between the cups stretches wider? IDK. It seems a lot better if I pinch the fabric there. I might try to sew it later on, because I didn't notice any of this until wearing it out, so I can't exchange it at this point.
BUT the fabric is super comfy and the style is very pretty. I think it gives an overall good shape despite the weird slippage issue. It seems like in addition to being slightly more closed on top than the Marcie, it's cut a little lower, and the band runs larger/stretchier than most cleo bras.
EDIT: This now cuts in considerably at the top and is painful to wear.
I like this bra. I'm moderately full, but I think someone very full on top would have a problem with this. The yellow is cheerful. The gore on this bra is too wide, but I live with it (and in the case of the black, I took it in, which also opened up the top of the cups).
After a few months of ownership, this was my best fitting bra. "I'll just buy it in different colors and I'll never have to try another style again!", I thought. Not so fast. The cups on the ...black Lucy seem larger than the yellow, although this is partially because the black is a full 1/4" wider at the bottom of the gore than the yellow or the pink versions. The navy with pink lace version actually is larger in the cup than the yellow. I took the gore in on both the black and the navy, which helps.
I also think that some retailers report this as "runs small" because of the lace at the top - it doesn't have much give (hence the "ski slope" effect I mentioned above). I realized that regardless of color, the lace does flatten you out a bit if you have any fullness at all. It's not uncomfortable, however, not noticeable under clothes, and I believe it stretches out just a bit with wear. The top of the cup aside, I don't believe the bra does run small. EDIT: I've been wearing this with an extender, effectively making it a 32GG. I overflow the top and have quadraboob.
Third time's a charm, or at least I'm hoping. The 32G was too small in the cup and too large in the band (things I failed to notice until I'd worn it out for the day), so I swapped it for a 30H. I think I measure between cup sizes, and this bra definitely requires the larger of the two. This is a pretty good bra - I love the round shape, the band is firm once it stretches out to size, and the quality of the bra is good. As is mentioned in a lot of reviews, the lace stands up at a bit of an odd angle, but it's not noticeable under most shirts (the vertical seams are a bit noticeable, but they aren't awful). I continue to read how shallow Juna's cups are, but I find that in the larger size, it has good depth.
This was the first bra recommended to me to try after finding my size. I was very underwhelmed; I found the band easily went around my back (though that sometimes is a relief when you hear horror stories of tight bands everywhere!) and my breasts were just sitting at the bottom in the cups, unappealing and wondering why they were in this contraption. I swooped and scooped but since everything was too big, I just jiggled all over.
The big plusses? It is really soft. Like, really, really soft. I didnt want to take it off but since I am not keeping ...it, no point. Oh, and the color is a beautiful Christmas red, I believe its called Raspberry. It also has a subtle flat design in the mesh (polka dots) and the lace that would be less difficult to see under shirts, though I do layer a lot. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
All in all, I would say this is definitely better for someone who is fuller on the top than me and possibly not needing such a wide wire. Also, looking at the measurements, they cut it wonky so it was a quality issue. Makes me sad. Read more 108 more words
I'll update this later. Stiffer wires than the Juna. Band is pretty snug. Gore is tall, which is good for me. Gore is also wide, which is not good at all. It's good enough for now, I think it'll work under a tshirt.
My first impressions of the Molly are very positive. I haven't worn Freya Deco's since starting to wear Polish as they're the best shape for me especially now that the Deco has changed drastically. However, the original Deco was my go-to for years. Great fit, great cleavage, etc. Of course they don't make the Deco in 30H, so while stalking amazon for similar bras, I found this one. Sadly it's not a continuity bra that they ever brought back. I actually love this one-it's deeper than the older Decos (and *definitely* deeper than those terrible new ones), which is great for me. I may not quite get the ...exact shape/uplift/amazingness of the Polish bras, but this is as close for me out of the UK that I've found since. The color is kind of silly-I LOVE the dark background, it's just the dots that are silly to me. Comfort is pretty good for me-even though most UK stuff now rubs my underarms uncomfortably because the wires are too wide, this one has thick enough fabric that it hasn't bothered me so far (whereas the Fantasie I bought recently for cheap rubs me uncomfortably), which is great. The other issue I usually run into with UK stock these days is that while I fill out everything in the cups just fine, at the very top they are too tall because I have a short root (all of my Polish stock are 65Ls with reduced cup height). Not so for the Molly, which is great. The Molly will quickly become a part of my usual rotation. Hopefully my boobs stay the same size because I doubt I could find another Molly again! I lucked into this one as the bra came out back in 2011. Read more 186 more words
The only things I do NOT like about this bra: 1) the underwire length and height 2) the decoration and lining of the cups shows underneath shirts since it is unlined
It's a FUN bra, though, so the color and decoration are meant to be that way.
Tried the 30H, 30HH, and 32G in this style. The 30H fits the best of the three. The gore tacks mostly but half of it flips up to the side and rests on breast tissue. The 30HH tacks perfectly but the cups are a bit big which makes me think that the problem is just that I'm too close set for it to lie properly
The first thing that you notice about this bra is obviously the colour. I was looking for a neon yellow bra, and this is it! It's a great colour. The straps are comfortable, though still too far apart for me (as with all my bras). The centre gore is good. I like all the little details, like the fun writing on the inside of the cups and the hearts and the little bow. It's the closest I've come to liking a completely non-padded bra. Unfortunately, the cups are a bit big on me. The wires seem really wide and tall, kind of poking me in the middle of my armpits. The seams of the cup and the embroidery show from underneath all of the neon yellow shirts I own, and it's to wear with these that I bought this bra. So I think my search for the perfect neon yellow bra will continue.
I got this bra in a size smaller than what I really need, so I can't 100% comment on the fit, but it's pretty similar to the old Frances or ...you know, any of those Cleo bras. A little opener on top than Lucy, not as open as Marcie. It's really pretty and I love the weird applique bow.
This is the coral spot colorway. I also have the navy bird print reviewed separately. They are largely identical except I feel like the straps are a tad wider set on this one and the band may be a hair tighter. They are great for forward projection and are stinking cute.
This is for the navy colorway. I also bought the coral spot and will review it separately. I can confirm the many reviews I've read noting that this bra has a tricky fit. Fortunately for me, it works. I'm pretty full all around, broad-shouldered and short. Both the band & cups are great on this one, which means they both probably run a touch large. The seaming between the materials that comprise the cups wants to cut in, so it wouldn't be my first recommendation for someone who was very full on top. However, the upper materials would wrinkle if you couldn't fill the ...cups completely, so it wouldn't be a good fit for very full on bottom either. Assuming it works on your boobs, it is stinking cute and remarkably practical. Considering all the print and assorted materials, it does disappear under almost any non-sheer clothing. (Ditto the matching thong; the set is to die for.) The side of the cups doesn't dig into my armpits like the Juna because it's cut a little lower & the straps a touch less wide-set. It is surprisingly comfortable. It has the Cleo standard 2-hooks. Read more 89 more words
O Cleo, O Neve! This was my second attempt to make the Cleo Neve work, trying a 30H after I tried a 30GG. This is a testament to just how cute and practical-looking I find the Neve; I really hoped the bigger size would fit me. Unfortunately, even the larger cup size is too small. The Neve has a very shallow cut -- shallower than any other Cleo I've tried. (The Juna and its sister cuts do work for me.) Additionally, though both the Neves I tried are 30 bands, the length is not consisted. The 30GG has a band of 24" that stretches to 30", but the 30H band is only 23.5", and stretches to just 29".
Just put it on and OMGSOCUTE! Ahem. I gambled on the Meg in 30H and won, so I bought this one expecting a similar fit/look. The Meg is deeper through the apex and both higher and wider in the middle. The straps seem to be a little further apart. I should have gone up a cup size in this one to an HH because I have a touch of quadraboob on my larger side. However, this may be the best combo of lift and support I've achieved EVER. The band is great; typical Cleo in that it runs a tiny bit large. If it had 3 ...or 4 (close) hooks, it would be even better, but that's not how they roll. The real story is how the construction of the cup brings my boobs to the front and center. I look like I've lost weight and I'm perilously close to actual cleavage! There lace top of the cup at the seam with the bottom fabric bulges noticeably under clothing on my larger side, but I feel sure that's because I need a larger cup. The straps are fully adjustable. The wires are a tiny bit wider than most of my Comexim/Ewa bras, but they're still pretty darn narrow. The colorway is so freaking cute, and the sweetheart neckline is low, open and sexy. Seems well made with quality materials. Read more 120 more words
The cup size on this one is a little too small for me and it doesn't have quite enough projection, leading to wrinkling on the bottom and cutting in on the top. It would be better for someone a little more average in that regard!
I purchased this bra used with an alteration to the straps to extend their length. You can still shorten the straps up quite a bit and it seems to have been done well.
