Despite the band measurement reading loose it feels firm and doesn't easily want to stretch that big. It doesn't really feel loose.
The band is a double layer of black fabric that is kind of reminiscent of swimwear, but thinner. Change uses similar materials in their underwear but Change's are silkier. The bottom section of the cups consists of two layers, black stretch mesh/lace overlaid a non-stretchy cobalt base. The top section of the cups consists of a layer of stretch mesh overlaid with stretch lace. Elasticated top edge. The straps are partially adjustable with padding in the front half. Cobalt with black hardware. The only decoration is a hot pink bow on the top of center gore (easily removable).
This bra would be a great bra to wear under black clothing if not for the cobalt straps.
Very much a continuation of the Sasha/Alexa/Meg/Lily/Erin line. The stretch lace top section is a brilliant move. The shape is more reminiscent of Sasha/Alexa as it isn't as uplifted as Meg, Lily or Erin.
This bra is very comfortable, has nice front projection and creates a nice, voluptuous silhouette. The band feels stretchy and the stretch lace on top makes the girls jiggle a bit, which could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. It felt supportive, I just don't know if the bounciness will bother me.
I know many people find cleo koko and neve bras don't work for them, which surprised me to find out because the neve has been my go to bra for a while. More recently I found the koko as it's a similar model. This works as a great molded t-shirt bra, and this fits me well overall and is very smooth under shirts. I know the reason many people don't like it is because it is seen as a shallow bra, and it's true that when you look at just the bra itself not on a body it's profile looks shallow. But I have never thought of myself ...as having shallow breasts, and once I put the bra on the weight of my breasts in the cups makes it so that the profile does not look shallow on me. I also love the color of this bra, which is a dark grey, it works as a neutral but is a bit more interesting than black. My only 2 issues are that the wires come to high in my armpits (an issue I have with most bras), and that the j-hook is in front of the strap adjuster, which means that since I have to tighten the straps a fair amount (as I do in all bras), the j-hook makes a small bump through the front of my shirt. It's not a huge deal, just a minor detail. Overall, I like this bra and am very happy with it. Read more 140 more words
I know this bra is supposed to work like the Cleo Lily, but it isn't super comfortable for me. Not enough projection, cups cut in, a bit too wide (which I'm used to as I have extremely projected narrow/short rooted omega-shaped boobs), and the wires seems to cut into my sides a lot. The cups, although soft, don't have much stretch to them. I wish the Meg was still being made, as that is my favorite Cleo offering, but the Marcie and Melissa also work for me.
I think I really actually like this bra!! After hearing the beige Marcie had been recalled due to manufacturing issues, I was worried my bra (that I got from HerRoom through Amazon) would end up being weird, but it seems fine as far as I can tell.
Unlike the yellow Marcie that I had tried on previously in this size, the wings and underwire so far don't seem to be coming up so high and cutting into my fleshy armpit/tail of spence area (which happens to me in the Lily), which is a godsend.
The band, like my other 32GG Cleos, seems to be a lot softer and stretchier ...that what I previously had at 32G. Not the biggest fan of that as I prefer snug bands, but I don't think I'd want to do a 30 band. The straps, too have an extra layer of padding that isn't o the 32Gs.
Cups seem like regular Marcie cups, a bit too open on top for me to fill but I don't mind!
The fabric is the regular (?) mesh-y stuff that is quite light and thin. I can see this being a go-to when I turn in a sweaty pig in the summer time. Even with the lighter fabric I still get a wonderful uplifted shape that gave my pendulous omega-ish breasts a a self-esteem boost =]
As with every bra I've tried, there is empty space on the sides and underneath (super narrow and projected), as well as a gap where the cup meets the strap (short roots), but I keep them anyway.
I don't have many plain white tshirts, but I tried this on while wearing a printed one backwards and the designs were not visible to me! I like that I can have a beige bra for thin white shirts without having to resort to wearing ill-fitting foam domes. Read more 200 more words
Oh Marcie, what has happened to you, we used to be such good friends, but now you're just awkward and odd when we meet.
Where do I start with this bra??? ( in the beige colour way) Wires are good, the right width and height for me, but my last Marcie had crossed wires giving an amazingly narrow gore which seems sadly to no longer be the case. Band - to me seems not quite as tight as other new 32's but definately firm enough. Straps as before nice non scratchy material next to the skin, seamed part way along for some reason but this doesn't stop the adjuster. Cup/shape well this ...is where the issues start, I don't know why, I prev had a pink Marcie which I loved in 32H but I am now smaller, 32GG is the right size, but the pull of the strap continues straight down to the wire, this would be fine if it included the side bit of the wire but it doesn't so there is a strange dent sort of in front of where the side sling would be if there was one with breast tissue bulging both in front of and behind the pull. The seam between the balconette and the lace top is too closed in so again there is a dent and bulging either side, and as my nipples is to the outside of my apex ( centre full) this gives a very square look to the front of the bra. Add to this some excess fabric at the upper outer cup and I think I will stick with my Minnie / Erin. Sadly Beige Marcie is not for me right now Read more 171 more words
Oh, dear, thats really too bad. I was so hoping that the construction of the beige and black would be better than the raspberry. I do see that pull you are talking about, but on me its not nearly as bad as the dent where the lace and cup are seamed.
I read somewhere that there was a recall for some of the beige and black Marcies. I can't look it up right now, but you might find some info somewhere online.
It was on a comment here, but i just googled and didnt find anything
Gosh, the bras only arrived with me 2 days ago! Thank you for that I am not on twitter so would not have seen it but was going to return the bra anyway.
So I just checked the Bravissimo website and Marcie is no longer available in Beige or Black!
Haha I dont do twitter either. They havent been on amazon either. Sucks for them, though. that sounds like a lot of wasted stock - and they probably dont want to let it go cheap because it'll lower the opinion of their brand
oh I hope they can sort it out and don't just give up on it.For now though, Minnie is my favourite bra!
For quicker reference to other users, you could update your bra and indicate that this one was a beige one :)
yes, actually, this review inspired me to go figure out how to add color to bras - go to your bra and click "Edit" and under "Additional Information" there's a place for it.
I think I have just done that Jj, please tell me if it didn't work, I am not very technically minded!
Yes, I can see it!
Thank you for finding it, Hootymyboobs ! I remembered ProperlyFitted was involved in some way, but I didn't have time to look for it earlier.
Very cheery yellow (although it doesn't look the best with my skin tone). A bit too open on top for me, not enough projection (doesn't stay in my fold). The wires come up high and as a result, the part where the strap meets the cup cuts into my upper-front-arm-chub painfully/unflatteringly.
Very stretchy band. Similar in fit to Cleo Lucy, but a bit more open in the top. I might reorder this in 30H, the fabric is incredibly soft and silky, much better than the scratchy mesh used in Lucy.
Even though this bra has a band that is too loose and cups that are too small, I still wear it because i cant get another one in my size, and I cant find a bra that puts my breasts as high up as this one! This is the only bra that puts my boobs where I want them - up, front, center while making them round. Its cute too, im so sad theyve discontinued it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />(
I've seen this bra touted as one of those bras to try before you go Polish, and yeah, as someone who best fits Polish bras, I do like this bra. Wires are narrow, comparable to EM in my size. Surprising amount of cup depth (12in in both sizes I got.) It's got a cute, feminine style that's reminiscent of JP Wacoal and Triumph. I got it in Taupe, which is extremely close to the color Panache uses for their tags/ribbons, and reminds me of the Vintage colorway of Ana. It's a gorgeous color, so I'm not mad that it's too cool to actually match my skin. The cups are ...made of a thin mesh, similar to what's used in the Elomi Matilda. It's certainly not the softest material, but it's a total dream compared to Envy. And the embroidery doesn't seem to show under my thinner clothes.
As far as fit goes, I got a 32GG and a 32H. The following applies to both sizes:
- It does not cut into the center of my breast tissue. Yay.
- The wires are just a tiny bit too wide, but not so wide that they cause discomfort. (We're talking less than 1in here.)
- Good amount of immediate projection. The cups don't wrinkle at the bottom and wires don't slide down.
- The gore is technically too wide. Though like with the wire width, it's not uncomfortable.
Both fit well enough to wear without much issue, although I like the fit of the 32GG better. Not surprising as I also tend to size a cup down for Polish bras as well. 32H has a fixable amount of gaping at the top (fixable if you're willing to sew, at least,) which seems to be common in this model. The lack of side support is my biggest gripe, but it's not a dealbreaker. Read more 196 more words

I love the look of this bra and the shape it gives me, but the straps are SO wide set! To put the straps mid to outer shoulder where they should be, they go inwards at an angle that forces the fabric to dig very uncomfortably into my tail of spence. Leaving the straps straight isn't an option because they're wider set than my (very broad) shoulders themselves! It rendered the Marcie unwearable for me despite having the narrow wires that I needed.
This is a beautiful bra that just never fit me (too big in band and cup). Beautifully made, construction is good, though too projected of a shape for me.
This is a cute bra but the cups have no stretch. My soft tissue does better in cups with stretch so that the asymmetry is remedied and the cup actually has the appearance of fitting. Since this cup has no stretch, the top edges just stand up and my tissue is settled below it. Maybe a smaller cup would work but I'm not going to try it.
love this bra. it is super cute. I think the band may be too loose as i can fit my entire hand underneath. I think it also rides up a tad. I love the color. it doesn't seem to hold my boobs in the cup. i swoop and scoop and it fits perfectly but as the day goes on it wrinkles as my boobs disappear. if i swoop and scoop again it fits perfectly again. I wonder if a 30h would be a better fit in this bra...?
It is amazing to me that I can wear a UK GG cup and still proportionately look like I have small boobs! I want BIG boobs! LOL As for this bra, it fits extremely well comfort-wise so I will definitely wear it. But it doesn't give me any umph. The cups are wider than they need to be and maybe not close enough at the gore. The straps are a perfectly acceptable length but I would like to tighten them just a bit to see if that would give me some more of the lift I desire. I do really like the round shape. Too many bras I have tried give me what I've seen described as a bullet shape.
This is a pretty bra with fun colors. Blueberry print on the fabric, and red lace across the top with a cloud pattern on it.
This bra encapsulates my breasts pretty well. It also gives a rounded front and center shape. I am fairly FOB, and I have trouble filling the red lace on the top, especially if my weight is on the lower end of my spectrum. The 32 is definitely too loose for me. That doesn't stop me from wearing the bra, as it does provide a better fit than most of what I have.
The fabric is very soft and I appreciate the pastels. The stretch lace in the upper cup is similar to my jasmines. The fit feels similar to my collection of lily bras, except better because stretch lace it my fav and it allows a bit of wiggle room
