This is my first Comexim bra and I love it! The quality seems really good, the shape works really well for me AND the gore is narrow enough to fit nicely between the ladies! It's the first bra that I don't think I will get red marks because the gore is too wide! All of that is awesome AND it's a nude bra! I've been needing a nude bra! (Now spring can hurry up and get here because I'm ready to wear my more sheer tops)
The perfect bra. Forward projection, upward, rounded shape. Padding is minimal, three part cup is very supportive. Creates tasteful cleavage. Lace lies flat, but is still visible under thin knit shirts. Deep cups allow for my underarm breast tissue to be scooted forward for no spillage out the sides. Firm but comfortable band. Straps are decorated and firm, no stretch here. I typically have fit issues with padded/molded cup bras, as my breasts are bottom-heavy and tend to not fill out the top of the cups, creating a visible lip. I don't have this issue at ALL with this bra- the plunge fit is cut low enough that the cup lays flat against my breast.
To say this bra is gorgeous is an understatement! The pics online don't do it any justice. The cups are a brilliant bright blue purple that pop against the black components of the bra. The one I have is slightly different than the stock photo, as the lace at the top of the cup actually goes on the cup, rather than a lace edge stick out as appears on stock photos. I personally don't have a preference, as it's beautiful either way. The fabric is a super smooth and soft satin, and the cotton cups are lined with soft matte black.
This model is constructed exactly like their Basic bra, except this one runs true to size, whereas the Basic runs about a cup small. The band is stretchy yet firm, the straps fully adjustable, and it comes with 4 rows of 3 hooks -- yes, thank you!
LOVE this bra, and I'll no doubt wear it into the ground.
Girl, you kill me when you don't post measurements.
Gorgeous! I've been eyeing up that one too:)
Looks awesome! I was wondering - does the outer cup material get bobbly with wear and wash? I want to order this model but after having my Lorraine get ruined quickly, I'm afraid of their non-overlace cups.
Sorry to hear about your Lorraine! I have never had that issue before with any of my Comexim bras, personally. The only bras I've had issues with that are those I am lazy about when it comes to washing. I wash all the ones I really care about in a lingerie bag on gentle and in cold water and then hang to dry. Were you doing that with the Lorraine? Other than that, I imagine it was just a fluke, as I've found all of the Comexim ones I've had to hold up pretty well (beyond normal wear and tear).
Yes, I wash it inside a pillow-case in a cold gentle cycle and hand from the gore to dry. My washing machine is very old though, not sure if it makes a difference. Hmmm. I'll give Sapphire a chance then. Thanks!
It might be the washing machine causing that. I would start washing in the sinks just to make sure. :)
I've said it before, and I'll say it again -- Comexim makes the best blue bras of any other brand I've seen. I've included pics so y'all can see just how gorgeous this is, and also that it's a bit different than the pics on their site. The pink is much brighter, and the blue is more intense and has more depth than what is depicted online.
Fit-wise, this is constructed exactly like Audrey (makes sense with the dots and all), but with the lace lining the top of the cups, and this works well for me since Audrey is my most worn bra.
My only complaint is that this ...comes with 2 eye and hooks, rather than 3. Why, Comexim, why?!? It also only has 3 rows of hooks vs. the lovely 4 they've been putting on their more recent models. This was specifically ordered with 3 eye and hooks, so it must have been a slip on their part. Otherwise, this is the perfect bra. It's gorgeous, comfy, femme but not overly so, and makes the girls look great. But it's killing me with the 2 hooks. Read more 80 more words
The database says that this bra doesn't fit me but I kinda object. Yes, the band is a little too tight for comfort WITHOUT an extender, and that might ease off within the first few wears and washes... And sure enough, the gore doesn't tack 100% but it's just off by like 5 millimetres. I feel supported in this and the straps aren't terribly wide-set, which is really saying something since I have ridiculously narrow shoulders and every bra so far has tried to saw my arms off. I could do with the straps being placed like 2 cm closer to the neck but that's just a minor ...thing because I really can't say I'm bothered by it.
I asked Comexim to custom-make this for me so the band would have 3 hooks instead of 2. I'm quite pleased with it.
Update 18 april 2014: I have concluded that the cups are about one cup size too small for me, but it's not the worst kind of "too small cups". I don't have double boob and it's not like I can't fit all of my tissue inside the cups, it's just that the nature of this bra allows my breast tissue to escape down the middle and stack "on top". This means that I am not getting the most supportive fit out of this (very supportive still!) and I also get a lot more cleavage than I would in a bigger cup size. I will be keeping this bra because I can deal and it's not the end of the world. Read more 151 more words
Hi! I had heard that you could ask for custom 3 hook bands and would like to do so myself, was there an extra charge for this? Also, do you happen to know how you worded the question in Polish?
Thank you!
There was no extra charge for this change at all! :) I asked katee for help with the translation, just to make sure Google Translate wouldn't fail me, lol. This is what I wrote, my initial message to their e-mail:
"Hi, I am interested in buying the Basic bra. I would like to know if it is possible to replace the 2x3 hook fastener to a 3x3 hook fastener. How much would it cost and how long would it take you to send the bra? Greetings, Jenny.
Witam, jestem zainteresowana zakupem modelu Basic.
If you want a different bra, just raplace "modelu Basic" with "modelu Geisha" for example, just the name of the bra you're interested in :)
Thank you so much! That was awesome of you :) now I just need to pick out which one I want, lol!
They're all gorgeous! :) I hope your first try will go well :)
So again, I was apprehensive about this bra after ordering it. Based on measurements, advice from other Bratabasers, and advice from Wellfitting, this bra should not have fit me. But it does. The cup is equivalent to my other 30GGs that I set it against, which is why that works for me. The band? Well, the band is odd. Technically, it's a 32 (because it's 70), but it doesn't stretch far enough for that. Instead, it actually only stretches to around 28.75"-29" (I can make it stretch to 29" without hurting it). I am actually closer to a 29" band, which obviously doesn't exist. My 28GG Deco is ...just a bit too small in the band, and it actually turns out that the 32G Deco I bought and had altered (actually ON my body) is now a 29" as well. Cool.
Thankfully, it is pretty much a perfect fit, which means I'm confused about sizing yet again. Ah well. I love this bra, even though it is a basic. It gives great cleavage (parallel to my ill-fitting Deco, but better looking since it fits) and is quite comfy. And for being a basic bra with a basic 'nude/beige' color, I think it's adorable. Love the little bow detail in the middle.
Again, I think I'll be able to move the band tighter not too long from now, which is normal as I'm losing weight again (though if I could spot lose everywhere but my boobs/band, that would be awesome since 28s are much harder to come by). I'm very happy with my order and this bra! Read more 158 more words
Fits like a large 28F or small 28FF. I usually wear 28F and I'm empty on top, so there's slight gaping in the top. It's kind of shallow in the bottom. Pushes breasts toward the center for cleavage. Style fits like something between a plunge and full-cup. Invisible under t-shirts! Band is tight, stretchy, stays in place, and very comfortable, in large part due to the high wings. Stretches to no more than 28" when new, which is great, because my ribcage circumference measures about 27". Cups are very tall and padded. Too tall for me (6.5" tall!), because I have a short torso. The tops of the cups are too wide apart, and therefore the straps are a bit too far apart. Fully-adjustable straps. I plan to try a cup size down in the 60G, because I really like this.
I'll write a full review of this bra on my blog in due course but for now here are the key points:
- 75 band good, although possibly 70 would be better for longer term wear - M cups too small. Wires too narrow. Some quadboob, but also there is a gap at the top of the cups. Suggest shorter cups (custom order) and would like to try lower centre gore as well, for more clothing options. - Straps fully adjust and are very comfy. - Band quite stretchy.
I don't know, I'm afraid. I am not familiar with Comexim's bras. Try comparing the measurements of this one with other Comexims that are listed on here.
"Basic" couldn't be a better name for this Comexim bra. I've been looking for a light or nude colored seamed plunge type bra to wear until light clothing, on days that I don't feel like wearing a molded plunge like my nude Freya Deco (4234), and I'm happy to say I've found it in the Basic.
When I first put on the Basic, which I did almost immediately after I got it in the mail from farflung, I don't know any other way to word this other than my boobs felt relieved. This bra is like a comfortable breath of fresh air. ...I mean, for once the wires are not all up in my armpits. And the straps are set a bit closer together than most bras I'm used to. This means that the straps don't end up rubbing into my armpits. How great is that? The gores don't come up too high, but they are higher than your typical plunge model. I don't mind, because it seems like when gores are too low, they start stabbing me in the chest. The fabric is comfortable, including the fabric that lines the cups.
Let's talk projection: the Basic will give you that uplifted, up front shape that Polish bras seem to be known for. Actually, the cup shape and lift reminds me of the way my Ewa Michalak S Wisniowka fits. The wires seem to go back far enough but then the cups bring my boobs forward and upwards. At the time of this review, I am sporting my full-on PMS boobs, so I'm able to fill the cups. I expect there will be some gapping when I lean over and stuff once my boobs retain their "regular" shape. Because of that, I'd like to see how my boobs fill a 65HH.
The band feels like a true 30" band, maybe a little on the stretchy side. I've read many warnings on how Comexim's bands are ultra firm. I'm somewhere in between a 28 band or a 30 band, which means deciding between wearing an extender (if a 28 is too firm) or wearing out the tightest hooks on most 30s. So since I'm using the tightest hooks here, it may mean trying out a 60HH or 60J instead.
As far as how the Basic looks under clothing, the seams don't really show up, especially under loose fabric. It's a great everyday bra. I'm looking forwarding to ordering my next Comexim bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Read more 316 more words
After owning it for a bit and wearing it a few times, I love my Comexim bra even more. Full review featured on my blog! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I'm considering ordering this bra, and I've read your blog review about it (which is great btw! So thorough!). Umm... I'd like your opinion on sizing. Last time I measured myself (3 weeks ago) my breast perimeter was 90.5 cm without a bra (I have very, very firm breasts, and they are shallow so it doesn't make much of a difference when I wear a non-padded bra or not). My underbust measured snugly (not too snug, comfortably snug with a small hint of cutting-in) is 71 cm, my rip-the-tape measurement (as far as I physically could do without breaking something, lol) is 69 cm and and my very loosest measurement is 74 cm (as loose as possible without making the tape measure fall down).
Could you please provide me with your own measurements? Especially the three different ribcage measurements. It could help me tremendously understanding what kinda band size I would need in the basic bra from Comexim. I wouldn't consider myself squishy, but I'm not the leanest chick on Bratabase either :P (I'm not fat nor skinny I guess, somewhere in the middle so my squishyness is neither "big" nor "small")
Also, what kinda boob shape do you have? Mine are very high on chest, full on top and shallow. I guess the full on top shape is there since my boobs are shallow. Shallow boobs usually don't have much projection and they are distributed higher on the chestwall so although one could be shallow and be the same size as someone with narrow roots (I understood from your review you have narrow roots) and deep boobs, they might not fit into the same bra. Last time I checked, my natural projection standing up straight was only 4.5 cm (measuring with a yard stick from underneath the boob crease and to where the projection stops). Shallow boobs are usually synonymous with being wide-rooted, and mine kinda are (I'm very petite so proportionally they LOOK wide-rooted), but at the same time they're not. I struggle a lot with finding underwires that are narrow enough for me and so far I haven't. I guess Comexim would be great in that aspect, narrow enough wires.
It would be my pleasure! :) And I'm so glad to hear you liked the review!
Here are my measurements: Underbust: 71.12cm loose, 68.58cm snug, 66cm break the band tight Bust: 90.17cm standing, 92.71 leaning and on back
In terms of boob shape, I have somewhat soft breasts that have even fullness on top and bottom, but I lack upper pole thickness (basically they appear to be a little shallow and they start about four fingers width below my collar bone, but I'm not more full on top than full on bottom, and standing I look more like I'm full on bottom). I also have a particularly narrow root. Literally every bra I have tried except for Comexim has wires that range from slightly to entirely too wide, though Michalaks fit pretty well too.
I hope that helps!
That helped a lot! :) I'm not done yet with my questions though haha, hope you don't mind :) Okay, so our boobs are very different but kinda similar in size. Do you think this bra would be suitable for someone with *very* full on top boobs that sit very high on the chest? My boobs start ON TOP of my collarbones, not even a finger width apart, literally on top of my collarbones! The tissue starts there. Okay, I was just lying on my back while checking that, now when I straightened up and sat down, the tissue of course still begins where it did before, but it's visible to the eye three finger widths below the collarbones. With the support of a bra, the tissue starts on top of my collarbones (not higher though, lol), and really, the only thing that matters is how my boobs will behave in a bra so... Yeah, on top of my collarbones.
Your loose measurement differs about 3 cm from mine. Your snug measurement differs about 2.5 cm from mine. Your break the band measurement differs 3 cm from mine.
What we can conclude is that we're ridiculously similar in "squishyness". My loose vs rip-the-tape measurement = Exactly 5 cm difference. Your loose vs. rip-the-tape measurement= 5,12 cm
That makes it a lot easier for you to help me decide on which band size that would be probable for me, since we don't have to take into account the squishyness factor. What kinda underbust measurement were you using when you decided on which band size to go for? What's the size Comexim suggests for you, and how did you choose the size that you did? Comexim's website suggests I should order a 70D or a 70E (70D says 88-90 cm bust, 70E says 90-92 cm bust and my bust is 90.5 cm) but I suspect it would be too big for me in the band, I'm not sure though. I'm really uncertain what measurement to go for regarding the cup size as well.
Haha, don't mind at all! :) I don't know that I can confidently say that this bra would be excellent for very full on top breasts, but I can say it would likely not work extremely well for full on bottom breasts, as I am pretty balanced and don't 100% full the very tip tops of the cups on my smaller breast. In terms of the collar bone issue, my four finger width measurement comes from when I'm standing-- if I'm laying on my back, my boobs seem to start more like right at my collar bone as well, though because they are a bit softer they do lay off to the sides a bit.
Now, I've heard you're pretty petite (;) ), and this is obviously going to impact how the bra sits on your torso...something short might look 'normal', but something tall might look huge. I'm petite myself, but I don't think quite as petite on you. I would expect the cups would 'look' a little larger on your body than mine, considering. I don't know how scientific this is, but can you give me a measurement between your collar bone and your xiphoid process? Mine is about 6"(15.24cm). I'm not sure if this bra would cut off too much for you at the tops of your boobs, but I suspect it would work reasonably well for a full-on-top shape.
In terms of determining the band, I chose my band based off of what I usually wear, so chose 60 because I virtually always wear a 28 band (the only brand I likely won't be wearing a 28 in anymore is Ewa, because the Cielus I got was RIDICULOUSLY tight). I ignored their band suggestions, chose my normal band size, and then chose cup size based off of my standing measurement, which is actually more accurately between 89-90 cm (I struggle a bit measuring in cm because I'm a silly American and am not used to it). So I chose HH because it's range is 88-90, and didn't want it to be too large. This method worked really well for me.
I didn't even know what the xiphoid process meant before I looked it up on wikipedia :P Anyway, the distance between my collarbone and the xiphoid process is actually larger on me than you. It's exactly 18 cm. I'm guessing this means that the fear you had it'll swamp me is gone? I mean, if my measurement is bigger than yours, isn't it likely I won't experience any problems due to this?
That's what I was wondering :) I'm not sure how much that measurement might actually help, because maybe your collar bone sit higher than mine and the distance is a little longer, but because the gore will typically sit right over/on your xiphoid process, that might suggest that it will fit similar to mine? Just a hypothesis :) I don't know that you would experience any issues because of it being longer, though, as you would likely just adjust the straps. Also, because your boobs sit higher on your chest, that's going to impact where the bra sits, and perhaps you have more rib below your breasts than mine (since my breasts sit slightly lower than middle on my chest).
So, all of that... of course it's totally up to you, but it might work well! :) It's hard to say without seeing someone else with firmer, high-set, full-on-top breasts wearing them, but my best guess is that this would work better for full on bottom than full on top, so long as you have a narrow root. It's a bit cheaper than Ewas as well, which I personally found attractive.
Now you're confusing me. Did you just say the opposite of what you meant? "I don't know that I can confidently say that this bra would be excellent for very full on top breasts, but I can say it would likely not work extremely well for full on bottom breasts, as I am pretty balanced and don't 100% full the very tip tops of the cups on my smaller breast." That's what you said higher up in the comment section, and now you're saying that it would likely work better for someone full on bottom rather than full on top? Did you phrase yourself wrong or did you realize something in the middle of it and changed your mind? :P
Dangit!! Sorry, that was a mistake, I meant to say "this would work better for full on top rather than full on bottom" :)
No problem! :) I'm glad we sorted it out. Phew! Lucky me! :D If it would've been the other way around I would've never had a chance with this bra. Maybe I'll try it some day :)
The hooks are lightly verging on straining on you using the loosest setting (I'm not implying it's a bad fit, it actually looks great, but any more strain would've been bad). How's the fit if you would describe it in words? Are you able to tug it away from you in the back using your hand or is it like "glued" to you? How far are you able to tug it back without using any excessive force? (Just lightly, as you would with a sweater for example, you would proabably not be aiming to pull as hard as you can to test the stretch, just lightly)
The reason I'm wondering is because I suspect I'll be needing a bigger band size than you, since my snug measurement is 2.5 cm bigger than your snug measurement. I'm not sure how many cm it needs to differ before you need to go up in band size... Gosh, this is hard haha :P But your input is definitely helping! Maybe if you can answer this question, I'll have an answer for my own question (if I need to size up); would you still be able to comfortably wear this bra if it was an inch smaller in the back? Or would you need an extender? (I'd be happy to wear an extender IF the fabric is likely to stretch out in like a months time for me to be able to use the looset hook, if NOT I'd rather size up since I think it looks prettier not to use an extender in the long run)
I hope you get to as well, it's definitely unique among bras! :)
I've noticed the pulling as well, but the strange thing is this bra does not sit too tightly on my body. I definitely have tried on bras that are way too tight, but this one barely leaves any marks on my sternum when I take it off. I've wondered about the straining too, but there is no pain or discomfort, and I think a size up would start to ride up. I can easily pull the band about 2-3 inches away from my body without using excessive force. I think it's just under an inch between the tightest and loosest setting (maybe 3/4 inch), and I can still wear it on the tightest setting, although it is snug, so I don't think I would quite need an extender if it was an inch smaller, it would just be pretty snug on the loosest column of hooks. I am expecting that the fabric is going to stretch out with time, of course :)
:) ! Sorry for asking so many questions haha, I must be a pain :P It's just that I'm so curious and I want to get it right! x) You say you would be able to wear it on the tightest hook and you suspect a bigger band size would ride up, okay, that gives me quite a good picture of what it's like. Now I'm just wondering; would the bra feel too tight for comfort if you were to use the tightest hook? Too tight for comfort if you wore it all day to work/school or something. Also, how tight do you like your bands? BIHAL and MilkAndHoney seem to favor the "as tight as needed, not as tight as possible" fit, and that's the kinda fit I favor too. Would you say that's your ideal fit as well, or do you usually seek a bra that you may have to compromise a bit in comfort for support?
Not at all a pain, I am having a lazy Sunday afternoon and love bra talk! :) I also prefer "as tight as needed, not as tight as possible", however there is a little bit of room/flexibility for me between as tight as needed and as tight as possible before it becomes physically uncomfortable, just because I think I have a high threshold for discomfort. I am sure that I wear my bands snugly, but I won't tolerate pain. I prefer a band to be snug enough that it is not going to move around at all on my torso as I move around, but if a bra at all bites into my sides or begins to cause me physical discomfort, I won't wear it.
Oh okay :) I'm not sure how high/low my discomfort treshold is because I have too little experience with bras in general (don't get me wrong, I've been stalking Bratabase and read a whooole loot so I know quite a bit but the problem is I haven't had too many bras due to financials and frustrations). I'm not too much of a tough cookie though, because if a bra is scratchy I can only wear it for an hour or two before I go totally coocoo and rip my bra off :P Hmm.... You're a little bit smaller than me in the ribcage... I'm not sure if it's enough to upsize though... If it would've been a 4 cm difference I would for sure upsize, but now I don't know :P I'll have to think about that :) Thanks a mountain-lot for the help haha :D !
this is maybe a silly question, but is that the beige? on their website it says the basic comes in white, black, beige, or champagne, and i'm not sure which of those would be darker... i'm guessing probably neither will work as a nude bra for me :[
curlewgirl ,I was wondering what color you got too.
Is your blog MIA? I tried to go to the review but I got a 404...
I think curlewgirl is inactive both here and on her blog. I tried to reach her through one of her posts, because she said in a previous one that she'd be posting new ones shortly, but she never did in the upcoming months and she seems unable to reach. I worry about her every time I see some trace of her here, but there's probably nothing to worry about. Maybe she realized she wasn't comfortable being active in boob-communities and blogs alike.
Yes, unfortunately it is. I was getting very creepy, unwanted attention and decided it felt best not to have pervs looking at my bare chest. Maybe I'll feel differently in the future... I'm reconsidering opening up a new blog because I was good at it and people similar to me appreciated it...
Please do. You could even disable comments. A lot of the best blogs (Daring Fireball, for example, do without comments). We miss you! :-)
Starting with some (minor) issues: the straps are really thin, but less stretchy than one could expect. The uplift isn't as great as it could be, but still better than most of soft bras I've recently tried on. And something was scratching me in my back, couldn't figure out what it was. And that's everything I don't like about this bra so far. Laura is a really good everyday bra. It's really comfy, I can wear it all day and don't feel like wearing a bra at all. The fabric is soft, smooth and rather unstretchy. As I've mentioned, the uplift is not amazing, but it support breasts enough and doesn't change their natural shape. Most of the seams are made well enough not to be too visible under clothes. The bra also happens to have colour almost perfectly matching my skin, which makes it even more invisible. The underwires are rather soft and don't poke at all, so if you have sensitive skin it's a good choice.
Yet to work a full shift in this, but so far I am very pleased with the size and comfort! Accounting for my ~2-3 cup sizes of asymmetry, I'm probably currently closer to a 30:12 (30HH) reference size going off of the larger side, so accounting for the relative shallowness of the 3HC vs. the padded plunge, I ordered a 65M which was a custom size in this model. I also had gores overlapped, and cookie pockets added. This seems to be a winning combo for sizing! Previously my first venture with Comexim custom was a 65K Cats 3HC which was decidedly too small in the ...cups. The band on this Beauty is quite stretchy too—no need to size up to a 70!
The way the cup is scaled overall is a bit tall for my tastes though; I'm a tall person, with fairly tall roots, but the cups are threatening very close to my armpits. The straps are also a bit too wide, but I also have broad shoulders so I think for me this is fine, but if you overall have a smaller frame I think you'd perhaps do best bringing them in.
This also isn't really a half-cup aesthetically or functionally in this size, it's more of a 3/4 cup.
The gore soft tacks onto the bridge of tissue connecting both my breasts, which I can feel but so far isn't particularly uncomfortable at all, but might be an issue in 12+ hour wear in the future.
I think considering that I am quite projected, have this extreme close-set-ed'ness to contend with and am quite center full, and as a result have been living in EM PLs for the past few years *(before getting sized out without ordering custom, which is an expense I can't fully justify right now being in the US, sigh)*, I reckon a padded plunge with a lowered gore is the best move for daily bras, but am unsure about sizing (maybe 65L?) and what other alterations to possibly get to avoid the scaling issues I've had in this bra.
Which, to be clear, I do like a whole lot so far! If you don't have all the same insane fit particulars I do, this might be your miracle. It is not mine, but it looks really great and feels pretty darn good. Now to figure out my daily driver ... Read more 292 more words
Just a note: some US stores that already sell Ewa Michalak bras (I noticed you said you were in the US) can order Ewa Michalak bras for you. That way you don't have to pay the Ewa Michalak shipping fee. since they're just shipping with the store's bulk order. (to order custom sizes from EM, the bra is only 20 pln more) If might take 6-12 weeks to get your order though, it depends on when the store needs to order more Ewa Michalak bras. I know that both Levana bratique (Wexford, PA) and Aphrodite's Closet (San Antonio, TX) have done this for clients.
It's a mixed bag b/c I.M.E. buying directly from Ewa Michalak was so fast & convenient: they made bras on a Monday, and I had them in my hand by Friday (IIRC, I even could've gone on Thursday to pick them up from the shipping place but I didn't have time ). So, super convenient to order EM bras directly, but you pay for that convenience!
I've been living in Comexim padded bras lately, but I'm kind of in between sizes. If you want to look at the alterations list, there's some info on r/Polishbras, here is the Comexim button. https://www.reddit.com/r/PolishBras/wiki/brands/comexim/
BraOdyssey Thanks for the thorough and prompt reply! I was wondering if ordering custom through a US stockist was an option, and just contacted Levana to see if they can help me since I've ordered regular stock from them before. Wait time really isn't an issue, I figure as long as I need some customizations whether it's with EM or Comexim that's par for the course!
The quick delivery was nice, but not USD$40 nice LOL.
ajnu , just to clarify, I'm not sure how much more Ewa charges for her custom sizes. I misread the description. I thought it was 20 pln more for custom sizes, but I actually don't know what the price is (or even if she charges more for the custom sizes?) https://www.ewa-michalak.pl/product-eng-2343-Bra-PL-Basia.html
Just FYI. I didn't want to give you the wrong info!
This is a lovely bra that I bought last February! The FABRIC OF THE BAND is so soft and comfortable. I'm not entirely sure what this fabric is (lol), but the band reminds me of my Avocouture bra, which is a Polish luxury brand. It is not a cheap mesh bra, like the ABrathatfits sponsored brands (Elomi, Freya); the ABrathatFits sponsored brands (Wacoal, Panache, Bravissimo) are all overpriced. If you want more "bang for your buck," you have to go with the ethically-made/ethically-marketed brands.
I got a ton of wear out of it while losing 31 pounds, but unfortunately since I lost 3 cup sizes & I'm back ...to my old bra sizes of 70HH or 70H in Comexim, it doesn't fit anymore. which is an excuse to buy more Comexim bras obviously.
If you have a narrow & projected shape (aka, front & center boobs), I highly recommend this brand! In Europe you can buy them directly from their website (Comexim.pl), or from other stores. In Canada or the U.S., you can buy them from Breakoutbras.com - which is especially useful if you don't know your sizes. OR you can buy them directly, which is useful is you already know your sizes in Comexim.
edit: I just wanted to add, *one* of the problems with the ABraThatFits sponsored brands, you are paying for all of that marketing! edit2: A note on sizing, they are much more consistent in sizing than the inferior ABraThatFits sponsored brands - I find their sponsored brands (Wacoal, Panache, Bravissimo) to be so inconsistent in sizing. I love all the bashing of the popular brands you snuck in here... I recently checked out Bravissimo and was shocked at how their bras that used to be 30£ are now 40£... they are not worth that much! Also nothing that is actually pretty enough to spend that money. Good to know the mesh on this bra is way better than on like Elomi Matilda!
I never was a part of the proper bra-fitting community when Freya was a good brand though.
Yes! I mean I am the first one to praise Bravissimo! I wore their bras for years. But I ended up having to return more and more. 34L - Bravissimo » English Rose (LN357) was my go to, it was sturdy and indestructable! The original Lacey was my go-to for years. Then they started making a lot of spin-offs like Lacey Bloom, Floral, Boho what ever. Lacey Bloom, the lace on the band ripped when I tried to put on the bra, the Lacey Boho was such thin fabric it would not even hold a shape and the seams dug in weirdly. The Alana bra which I also had many over the years suddenly had straps that folded in itself. Each bra got worse. Straps were so stretchy they made the whole bra weak. Then they started to do 2 hooks up to HH or even JJ cups. Discontinued the Arla which was SO unique - 4 hook band and the design ... Now they sell a ton of flimsy sheer mesh or lace bras with extra straps over the chest, thin shoulder straps and 2 hook bands. No thanks. Quality went downhill so much. They had such cute ones in the past. Sometimes I wish I could time travel to 2016 to go buy all the cute bras I that I could not buy back then because they did not come in my size.
Btw I was shocked to read negative reviews on Panache Tango (a bra I thought was basically indestructable) --- nowadays the wires poke through in like 3 months!
Freya Pollyanna was recommended as a starter bra in large cups when I joined the brafitting community (around 2012-13) but it was discontinued soon after and I don't remember that there was a follow up that was agreed upon. The consensus was that Freya just does not work above H cup, even though the made those sizes. 99% of their bras I tried would not work for me. Lack of support and some were even offensive in cut. I get that the Deco is a good one if you fit the shape and there's a reason that is their bestseller. Offbeat is not the worst but could be improved.
The gore looks like it is wider than on the padded plunges?
Thanks! I can't wear too tall gores. I got a reply to size up 1 cup in soft cup compared to plunges from Comexim.
Size up in soft cup? Hmm. I actually sized down. I'm about to do another review on their same style, unpadded 3HC. I got a lot of wear out of it, but then _ because of my weight loss - I lost cup sizes, so I don't where it anymore. I'll link the review below.
alisa, I mean, I would listen to what Comexim says though, they're the bra makers.
Yes I found it weird too...to size up in a softbra... usually one has to size up in padded because there is less room in cups? Padding makes the cup more shallow?
I looked today into r/polish bras but I cannot join. I wanted to ask about Polish bras with high apex cut (I don't know if that ask would be ok in your group?) I did an adventure about it here.
I changed the forum to "restricted" for both comments & for posts - I didn't know that makes it so that people can no longer join the forum, I might change the settings!
Ah okay, I really do not know reddit well. My account was only made to post in braswap. I think I just try bras --- like I always did. Now at least I have more options in my size and don't have to buy Elomi or Bravissimo.
The color is more intense in person, it’s a rather strong peach 🍑. But it’s gorgeous! I love the details, they’re so feminine. The flowers on the band are absolutely beautiful, and I’m a sucker for flowers.
Comexim always looks even better in person; photos don't do Comexim bras justice! Lol.
Flowers are nice, subtle just on the band too, pretty! I’m a bit boring I suppose, mainly plain for me but I do have some coloured patterned ones in my drawer if I want to cheer myself up!
And it’s so so comfy 🧡 I’ve worn it for 12 hours and I’ve barely felt it. So far one of the comfiest bras I’ve ever had!
I had a lot of recent size changes, so I had to change a lot of my bras out. I'm convinced that Comexim padded bras are the comfiest. I could easily wear one all day.
Bra is listed on Breakout as a 30F, fits and is about the same cup size as my bras that are 30DD (and the one other comexim 32E I have that's a bit too big in the band and I wear on the tightest hooks). I got this on r/braswap, the colors weren't for me but I wanted the fit.
As a whole, this is probably one of my best fits. One of the only padded cups I own where there is virtually no gapping, especially not at the top which is a common issue for me. Wires are the right width - I have narrower roots, so it ...is not too narrow and from what I can tell sits right where my tissue ends. It doesn't show through shirts like bras like the deco can which is slightly too open at top. It gives subtle cake-on-a-plate cleavage, but not "smushed-too-shallow" cleavage. Cups sit a bit high on my armpits and can sometimes be an issue, wondering if I need to loosen the straps. Will update if I figure this out. Read more 72 more words
This is the 1st non-padded Comexim bra I’ve tried. I'm pleasantly surprised by the initial impression. It was a final sale and I got it for just over $27, including shipping. I requested the straps be moved in by 2 cm. Joanna sent a note indicating they would try to accommodate this request, but couldn't promise as it was a discontinued style. Compared to several Comexim bras without this adjustment, it appears they were able to do it.
For the 1st time, I don't need to shorten the strap on my smaller side, and I don't have an overt quad-boob effect on my larger side. However, I’ve only ...had it on for a few hours after measuring it. Time will tell.
The gore tacks, the band is secure but comfortably stretchy. The wires, as usual for Comexim, are perfect for me. I read another review mentioning the cups being scratchy. I'm not finding this. So far it’s very comfortable & provides a rounded shape under clothes.
I’ll return after a few washes and wears in case things change. For now, I’m still loving ❤️ everything Comexim! Including Comexim customer service 💕 Read more 83 more words
As with the basic half cup I tried from Comexim, I am loving the wide straps. It pulls some of the weight off of the band without making it feel like the strap is digging down into my shoulder. I think this bra works well for me as someone who doesn't offer a lot of immediate projection right by the gore. I was worried a gore this tall wouldn't work for someone like me, but I am pleasantly surprised to find I love it. Theres one seam in the bra that bothers me in the band. I wish it was stitched a little different. I believe this is ...a choice based on the fabric used. I didn't notice this issue on the half cup model. It likes to sit on a rib, but I think I can shift the bra to make the issue stop. This may not be the case for every person or even every one of these bras, but I thought I'd point it out anyway. All in all, best fitting bra I've come across so far. Read more 72 more words
I want to love this bra so much, but the wire on the outer side of the cup is an issue. I also think this bra expects me to have more immediate projection at the gore than I really have to offer. But, if it weren't for the wire, I'd overlook that. The strap width is amazing. I wish more makers considered slightly wider straps. Overall, not a keeper for me but worth trying on.
FYI, if you order direct from Comexim, you can order the cups made with the "wider cup alteration" of course it will be non-returnable though. Here's an example of what they look like, on BraSwap
Confession time. I didn't realize this was a swimsuit when I ordered it during Comexim’s recent sale. How embarrassing! I thought I was ordering a brightly colored bra 😂. Although it is SO comfortable and supportive, I *could* wear it as a bra.
We have a pool so I will wear and swim in it privately I’ve already ordered a few black swim bottoms to try with it. I also have a Freya bright pink bikini bottom (from my tankini set) that works too.
As is the case with my other Comexim bras, this bikini fits amazingly. The wires are perfect, the gore tacks, and if there is ...a quad-boob effect on my larger side - or space on my smaller side it is minuscule.
I also ordered a 60J Unicorn 3hc bra with this order. I asked for the straps to be moved in on that bra too. I knew these alterations would make them both not eligible for exchange or return. I received an email indicating a band size of *60* or below is also NOT returnable. That was news to me. Just a heads-up in case anyone is considering ordering directly from Comexim & is unsure of band size. Read more 94 more words
I probably need one or half a size up but it’s still one of my favourite bras. The only problem is that it gets itchy where the cup parts are sewn together since there is no inner lining and the seams are rough.
This bra's measurements have been altered
Shortened side wings (bacons?) to 9 cm instead of 11,5
What is your UK bra size? I am a 28F/28FF depending on the cup style - and I tried a Comexim 60H but it was far too small in the cup. When I looked at their website for sizing it suggested I was a 65HH but I'm just not confident in that?
AlexM I’m a 28F in Freya and Panache UK size. So it sounds like maybe you want to go for a J if you are F/FF.
Yay for nice nude bras!!!
