  1. Audrey Plunge Bra (190)

I got this bra as part of a three bra package from another Bratabase user, along with the 80E - Comexim » Geisha (202) and 80E - Comexim » Magic Blue (229) , and initially did not intend on buying it. I'm glad I did, because it actually ended up being my favorite out of the purchase despite the other two being on my bra wishlist for the last few years. This bra is *so* comfortable, I don't want to take it off and have almost forgotten to do so before bedtime on two separate occasions!

Comexim has the narrowest wires of any company ... I've tried, with the wires on the Audrey being less than 1cm from my root at the top outer edge of the cup and in my IMF almost the rest of the way. Unfortunately, the gore is slightly too wide at the very top and sits on a bit of breast tissue, just like... well, almost every bra I've ever tried that tacks at the gore, with the exception of maybe one (the Ewa Michalak Pl Violet (165) in 70H with an extender, back when I wore a 32HH. My research tells me the gore would have been between 2-3" and about 0.6" wide).

The straps are plain black with what I've come to think of as 'resistance stitching', and are the right cross between stretchy enough to give a little and sturdy enough to support the level of projection the cup provides. They are 0.75" wide in an 80E. Adjusting them takes some work, and once they are adjusted they do *not* move. The cups are slightly taller than both plunges in the same size, as I expected (6" for Audrey, 5.75" for MB/Geisha), as well as narrower than the Geisha (but surprisingly, or perhaps not, the same width as the Magic Blue) and deeper.

The band itself is a fine black mesh printed with white polka-dots, over a stretchy plain black base like that used in the Magic Blue, and stretches to approximately 33", a nice medium between the 31.5" an 80 band would ideally stretch to and the 34+ that my prior '80' bands from other companies have stretched to. The decoration on the gore is a double ribbon bow, with the inner being a black ribbon with silver stitched edging and the outer being thinner and hot pink.

All in all, I'm super pleased with the Audrey-- enough that for my first direct order from Comexim, I'll most likely be asking for bras that fit like this one does, rather than the plunge cut that I expected to love.

  2. Florence Half Cup

My lovely Florence. This bra is so pretty. My customization's: made into a 3 part half cup with black lace trim instead of green. Straps moved in 2 cm, extra material at the gore removed. I like the 3 part half cups because it allows me to get the projection that I need. I will say that the band is firm in this one. Still wearable, but i think the black material for the band set me up as usual. I have had this one for awhile, but getting around to getting all my bras in the Bratabase https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> Will probably have a bigger review coming soon since I am falling in love with Comexim all over again.

  3. Mimi Half Cup (288)

    2
    like

    60K

    Didn't fit

    Ordered Alterations:
    - straps moved in
    - cookie pockets

    AESTHETICS:

The stock photo shows a sort of silvery vertical ripple pattern. It does not exist on this bra. It's a very solid, plain-ish black. Others may be pleasantly surprised by that, but I was a bit disappointed. The straps have a cute solid black detailing to them. The only part of this bra that isn't black is the faux silver-and-pearl charm that is stitched onto the bow at the center gore.

    FIT:

This bra wasn't available in a 65K, or any higher cups in a 65+ band, and I really wanted to try their half-cups. I think this ... would have worked for me in a 65L or even 65M, or maybe a 70K/70L. I do think their half cup might be a better shape for me if I can get the right size.

    MATERIAL:

The material isn't bad, but nowhere near as luxe as my AP's. The material inside the cups is soft cotton, but the material of the band feels much like the way I described my Cleo Lily in Swan Print-- like the plasticky-feeling nylon tea bags Tazo uses. For me, that's uncomfortable against my skin, and I'm the sort to blister if that's against my skin all day. I do think it feels quite sturdy, and would stand up well to wear. The charm feels like it may be made out of the same stuff as rings you get from the quarter machine-- it's cute, though.

    CUPS:

As previously stated, the inside of the cups are lined with soft cotton. They're lightly padded with foam, and there is a single vertical seam. I'm not sure if the bottom of the cups felt too shallow because they *are* shallow at the bottom, or if it's because the cups are too small. The height was great, though, even with my short roots (I think they're short? They act short). They are a bit wide on me, but that may not be an issue since Comexim wires seem more about support than murder, which is a nice counter to my experience with certain UK wires. *coughcoughPanachecough*

    STRAPS:

The placement on these isn't as comfortable as on my Anna Pardal Nuance Plunges, and I think for me it would chafe the front of my underarms after a while, but it definitely doesn't murder them the way my CK Tease does. I do find that the cute detailing on the straps makes it very difficult to adjust them, although I think they tried to combat that with the second layer of wider, solid material under the ruched top layer.

    GORE:

I adore the way Comexim set up the gore. It's .7" at the top, and for the top 1.25" it's no wider than an inch. At the very bottom of the gore, it's about 2" wide. EVERY gore is too wide/high for me, with the apparent exceptions of Comexim and Anna Pardal. Also, their wires are sort of more like Freya wires, so they aren't super painful even if they were to dig. However, I think I would need them to overlap to tack properly; the gore soft tacks, with the top not quite touching my sternum. I blame my boobs, for loving to cuddle.

    BAND:

I'd hazard a guess that this would fit like a 28G or 26GG. The band feels like it isn't likely to stretch out much, or quickly. It can stretch further than 27", but the cups begin to distort. As stated before, the band is an odd, almost plasticky nylon-feeling stuff. Not my fave. It may have more give after a wash or two, as I think there's a ton of starch or whatever in it.

    WIRES:

Nope, not quite in my IMF. They're wide enough and then some, but the cup is a bit shallow, or just too small. Either way, the wires don't snuggle up to my IMF the way they should.

    DOWNSIDES:

    - Straps are tough to adjust.
    - It's too small.
    - Oddly uncomfortable (for me) material for the full length of the band.
    - Dammit it's too small.

    I'll be listing this!

      LOL!

    • bonjourhi I'd asked for reduced cups and gore on my Queen of Hearts, along with straps moved in. I did say I only wanted the straps moved in on Mimi, but it's possible they reduced the gore. Maybe even the cups, which might explain the plungey slope, since they usually mostly remove cup near the straps. That would explain why one of the emails I got said the Queen could be "conquered" 3cm and Mimi could be "conquered" 1cm.

    • bonjourhi I wrote it in both, but I can totally see how it could be confusing with the language barrier.

Unfortunately, Geisha in 55HH is also too shallow for me at the bottom of the cup. It pushes out of my IMF and just feels a bit crushing. It is an absolutely lovely bra though, and I'd love to eventually own it in a fitting version! I'm not sure where I'd go from here in sizing really though. The materials, craftsmanship, and details of this bra are spectacular. I love the 2x4 fastener and the moved in straps. It's definitely lovely to not have cups in my armpits.

Beautiful!! I experienced the same lack of projection in a 70HH. I'm hoping I can shimmy into a 65HH. So far, the only Comexin I've tried that fully accomodates me at the wire is a 60J Arizona, but the cups are TALL.

    • I hope 65HH works for you! I've found really that at the moment Comexim plunges just don't work for me because of their lack of immediate projection. They certainly are beautiful though!

    • It (65HH Geisha) is way too shallow, also. I have a theory: scaling changes dramatically at "j" because I couldnt fit in a 70HH, 65HH, or 60HH. But, the 60J is just projected enough for me to sit at the wire. Sooo, I hope to test my "j" theory soon. The 65HH two-seam half cup is also significantly too shallow; "J" next. You may need a "J" ;-)

    Didn't fit

After a few wearings, I'm still not sure about this bra.

    Aesthetics:

The color is much more brown than I was expecting. The stock photos, and others, have reported that it is a little bit purplish. Nope, mine is just brown. I do like the color and fabric. It has a nice sheen and is soft and comfortable.

There is an odd ruching or wrinkling on the edges of the cups at the armpits. Others don't seem to have this.

    Fit:

The cups don't quite lay flat on the top edges, the bra kind of looks like it's eating my frame, and the straps are in my armpits. The band is a wee ... bit big. I feel like this bra stays secure all day but doesn't do a ton for me as far as lift. I haven't tried it on tighter hooks but I feel like maybe I should. The wires are perfect though!

    Comfort:

This, and the color, are the reasons why I wear this bra ALL the time. I tend to get wire pain from a lot of bras that have wide wires, and that is totally eliminated with this bra. At the end of the day, the wire marks are perfectly around my tissue and I've forgotten that I'm even wearing a bra.

  6. Princess Plunge Bra

My first Comexim ever https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I think I am going to like this brand, the bra is so comfortable that I don't even feel having it on me. The colours are not my faves, but still I like how it says 'it's lounge time!'

Pros: soft cup with minimal to no compression, gore tacks, perfect for a sleeping bra
Cons: band is a tiniest bit to stretchy.

  7. Joy Half Cup Longline (379)

This is probably the best fitting bra I've ever owned, and it's beautiful too!

I ordered from A Sophisticated Pair and asked for these alterations (note: alterations now cost an extra $5 when ordering from ASP):
    - Reduced cup
    - Raised gore
    - Straps moved in
    - Nursing clasps added

It turns out I probably didn't actually need the raised gore, but it doesn't hurt the fit, either.

Anyway, I love that the band doesn't flip up like my Freya Piper longline. It's made of a stretchy material that almost feels like a swimsuit, and it stretches to my body perfectly. And even though the wires kind of float where they should sit below ... my breasts (possibly because of the soft wires?) I don't even care because the length of the band means it's still very supportive.

I also love that I was able to get it made into a nursing bra. It's so nice not to have to unhook my bra in the back and half take it off whenever I need to feed my baby. If you're a nursing mom and you fit in Comexim, seriously, look into this option. It is amazing!

The cup on my larger breast quads just a tiny bit, but not enough that I think I'd benefit from a larger size. I think this cut is a bit wider and shallower than typical Comexim, but I don't think I'm super-projected anyway, so this doesn't bother me. The shape is rounded and looks great under shirts, but you will probably be able to see the seams under thin t-shirts.

The only downside is really the large band. I heard from other reviews that sizing down in the band is probably a good idea due to the stretchiness, so I got a 60 instead of the 65 I got for my Irish Coffee, but unfortunately I'm wearing it on the tightest hooks already. I definitely should have gotten a 55, possibly even a 50, and my underbust is somewhere between 27 and 28 inches. Another unfortunate thing about the band is the closeness of the hooks. The three rows of five hooks are spaced closer together than any other band I've ever seen, further reducing the possible wears I could get out of this band. I'm probably going to have to take it in once it stretches out more.

I definitely want like 10 more bras with this cut. I've been eyeing the Ingrid for a while and might ask for that as a longline with this half cup cut.

    • Thank you for your detailed and thorough review! Does A Sophisticated Pair allow ordering online? I love that they made alterations for you and I would like to have the same done to create a nursing bra from a new bra.

    • Erica at ASP takes orders by email every month and sends them to Anna at Comexim. Once they arrive at her store from Poland, you pay by PayPal and she ships them to you. Here's the form I used to contact her: http://www.sophisticatedpair.com/contact/ Hope that helps!

This bra is so much more stunning in person than it is on the Comexim website, which seems to be quite the norm. The gold and green are perfect shades to compliment each other. The material is a satin, with lace trim at the tops of the cups. It runs very firm in the band, and unfortunately, this one did not come with my requested alterations, and is the standard plunge style. I have ordered it again with my alterations, and am so excited to get it, because it is that beautiful https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

    Fits

For reference I'm in between a 32F and 32FF in Cleo.

This bra fits like a 32F.

The size seems right for this bra. I have tried 70 and 75 bands in Comexim and 75 is my preferred size. I have to use extenders with their 70 bands. The cups are pretty good here, but I have a Basic in a 75HH as well, and those cups are pretty good, too. The molded cups are pretty forgiving.

This bra is strange, however. I've owned two other Basics, and this bra is totally different from the others. The straps are quite stretchy, the cups are lined with ... white fabric (instead of the same color as the bra), and the cups are stitched oddly.
It's hard to explain, but the top horizontal/diagonal seam is stitched in such a way that it's pretty obvious under shirts. It makes it look like I am falling out of the bra, because the seam is so indented (even though there's a whole other section of the cup above the indent). The other Basics I've owned were not like this.

    75J

    Didn't fit

So I'm sorta new to the whole Polish bra experience, and this was only the third Comexim I ever purchased. (The first was a Basic in 75K, which was laughably too big for me, the second was one I ordered from Wellfitting in 32G, which is what my measurements according to the site recommended, but was CRAZY small) Anyways, due to some trial and error, I thought a 75J would fit me the best. I ordered this through Wellfitting last Christmastime, so I'm not sure if the more current bras are a little different, but the band size on this one is way too tight. I have to ... use an extender to be able to wear this, which I do, frequently, because the few other bras I own don't fit me as well. I also had no idea I could customize the straps to fit narrower shoulders; I really wish I had! The straps are too far apart and often cause me much discomfort. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> They rub into the skin right above my armpits and next to my breasts, whatever that area is called. I can't really wear this all day because it is so uncomfortable just for that fact alone. Is this a common problem? I have to deal with that in just about every bra I own. It sucks!
Also, my left breast is noticeably larger than my right, so the J cup fits that breast, but not the other. What do you guys usually do in these situations? There's enough empty space in the right cup that it makes me think maybe this isn't the right cup size.
I did order this with a higher gore, which keeps my girls perkier, which is nice. They look really good under T-shirts and stuff when I wear this.
My next purchase through Wellfitting, I am for sure getting this with the straps moved in! (Now I just need the fundage to get some better fitting bras!) I just don't know if I should order a larger band and a smaller cup, or stick with the 75J and deal with the extender?

    • Generally for asymmetry you can add in a pad/cookie. Comexim might be willing to add them into the design of the bra. I think I heard of someone getting pockets for assymetry added.

    • 1

The Basic does run tighter in the band than other Comexims. It's currently the only one that I wear with an extender (though I feel like I may need to do it with the Irish Coffee too)

  11. Georgia Plunge Bra (292)

    70G

    Didn't fit

I received this from another Bratabase user.
I've been lusting over the Georgia for a while, but I haven't been able to dish out the $70 or whatever Wellfitting is asking.
Initially, I didn't read measurements properly, because well, things I do.
I considered that it may fit regardless since ot has reduced cups.

This bra has reduced cups, lowered gore, and 3×3 hook and eye closure.

Fabric isn't a shiny satin-y like I'd hoped, but it has a fairly silky feeling.
The cup tops are edged with velvet, and a velvet bow is included in the center.

I actually really love the customizations on this, and would consider requesting the same in 65G.
The ... 70 band was something I was taking a swing at, and I do have to hook on the tightest hooks, and it rides up slightly.
The left cup on my bigger boobs almost JUST fits, especially with tightened straps, whoch aren't painful like on my Joy 65H when I tighten them.

Only problem is, then the band rides up even more.
I think it'd be ok in reality, since the band is much longer than usual. What concerns me most are the gaps in the sides of the cups. If that part was reduced also, this would fit.
It will fit in 65G, I just have to hope that Wellfitting has them when I have more cash.

Comfort level is high. These cups feel a lot more plushy and soft than my other Comexims somehow. No thicker.

Not sure what else to say since it doesn't actually fit. If I keep it I'm going to attempt to alter the band. I think that might help.
I also get lift regardless of it being too big, it's just that there's empty space up top..

Overall, not totally what I expected appearance -wise, but it is super pretty regardless.

I'll be adding measurements and new photos and listing this shortly. :, (

    Unless....Ewa pads.o_o
Ok, I might cheat. But probably going to list it.lol

Sidenote: wasn't sure whether or not to check "alterations" in the measurements section. I mean, it's customized, but not "altered", but still, I'd imagine measurements will be slightly differeny for the regular version.

Is this exclusive to Wellfitting? Maybe you can get it direct. Because WF is pricey.
Try the pads, but would you take the band in?

It is pretty, is it more teal or green in person? If you end up listing it let me know. My mom is a 70G and she loves jewel tones.

    • 1

jlcl119 Yeah, I think Comexim is out :( I got this from another user because Wellfitting is just mad expensive. They have the 30G, but..that price.lol
Tried the pads and they helped, but I just can't keep it.

It's more of a teal imo. I see it as one of the 3 circled here:

I just listed it, so you've got dibs if she wants it :D

    • 1

      Thanks! I'll ask her tonight.

    • 1

Comexim has the Georgia bottoms on their site. It may be worth emailing them about the bra.

    • 1

jlcl119 Ok :D and yay! I'll send an email when they get back from vacation and see ^_^ their prices are much more affordable lol

    • 2

Georgia is beautiful! Im sorry it didnt work out :( It sucks when something is only offered by super expensive Wellfitting :( I would also email to ask if they could make it! Because i dont think it used to be an exclusive!

Ive also been wondering about marking the altered button! Should we, shouldnt we?! So far i have been doing it because ive noticed the measurements do change a bit depending on which alterations are performed! I wish there was an easier way to keep track of the differences though.

    • 1

gogobee It's ok :) I'm ordering a replacement for my Joy, so definitely going to ask about the Georgia then as well :D

Yeah, I checked it first and then unchecked.
I'm feeling I ought to check it again so it doesn't skew the measurements for normal orders. D: I think you've got the right idea :)

    • 1

It doesnt seem to me like many others check it!

    • 1

gogobee That may explain a lot of differences in sizing. Hmm..
Now I think I'm definitely going to check individual bra data pretty thoroughly :o

This is the first 60HH from Comexim that I've tried without any alterations and unfortunately, I really need the cup reduction and straps moved in. The materials on Ingrid are lovely, and the fit is very similar to Vivien (not surprising since they're the same cut). The cups are filled until the very top where the extra height on the cups just gapes on me. The higher gore on this is actually quite comfortable, maybe even more comfy than a lowered gore. So that's definitely a modification that I don't need. I really wish this bra fit me better! It's so close and I would love the flowers to join my lingerie drawer. So anyone who wants to try 60HH (approximately 28FF/G) I'm going to be listing this bra!

    Didn't fit

This was the first Comexim that I got that was actually wearable for me. I got it here.
I've read that the Basic runs small in the cup and stretchy in the band. I don't find that particularly true for my specific bra. My band doesn't stretch, not really, so I use an extender. Now that I have my 65Gs in hand, I would also say that the cups are pretty true to the tagged size. Though, I think they fall on the smaller end of an H. Certainly not a G though.

This is a really really comfortable bra. My experience with Comexim, even the ones that don't fit, ... are that they are physically invisible. Once they're on, they're gone. No adjustments required. It's really nice to find such quality at such a decent price.
Again, this gore doesn't quite tack. But it touches, so it passes. I've worn this to the playground (and I play too, slides are fun) and nothing jostles out.

I'm a fan of this beige color. It's more of a stone shade. Gray based, not yellow and it looks really nice against my olive toned paleish skin. I also really like that it isn't called nude.

This is also better than my last round.

Again, so soft. So comfortable. Band, straps, cups, all good.
This gore tacks. Soft tack, so it barely floats away when I bend, but it does touch.

    More M bottoms.

This is just a really pretty set. It reminds me of my Grandma-in-law's couch. Take that as you will, but I think it's great. Flowers in earth tones are lovely.

  15. Joy Plunge Bra

This was originally ordered as a half cup. I did order several bras at once, all with alterations, so I am thinking that is where the mix up happened. Either way, I still love this bra. The material is so soft, and the pattern in gorgeous. It's like a garden. I wore this one to work today, and once it was on, I didn't feel it for the rest of the day. It gives great support, is so comfortable, and I am pretty sure that I said this in my last review, it's Comexim. You can't go wrong. I will be ordering another HC bra though, because I really want to try the style. A couple of my friends at work know about my Polish bra addiction, and I have no shame in showing them the beauties that I am wearing whenever it is a new one. lol

  16. Brigitte Plunge Bra (332)

LOVE THIS BRA!!!!! The cups are reduced which is a much better fit then the regular cups. The band isn't near as tight as I thought it would be for a 60 (28) band. So comfortable I've been wearing everyday since I got it!
Posted Fit Check just to double check the fit is correct.

    • How is the ribbon that runs across the top? I have my eye on Brigitte, but have heard that the ribbon can cause some slight quadding, or digging into the tissue a bit.

    • I haven't noticed the ribbon causing any issues. But I've heard similar things about the Irish Coffee being tighter acros the top.

    • Thanks for the info... I think this just made my next Comexim order ;)

  17. Mint Plunge Bra (331)

Out of my entire recent Comexim order, Mint might be my favorite. I say that now, but I haven't worn the others yet, just tried on for fit purposes. I wore Mint today for the first time, and is just melted onto me. I couldn't even tell that I was wearing it. I didn't need to adjust anything during the day. The band didn't ride up, the straps felt great and the girls stayed in place. Let's not forget that the bra is beautiful. I know this one has been around for a long time, and has been reviewed more than a few times. But not by me. lol https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> I was really looking forward to this one, and Anna did not disappoint with my alterations. I am so excited to have some winners in my collection! Making due was getting old https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />

This is Comexim, so it is amazing. I feel like that is just a given with Comexim. I may be biased because Anna has made shopping for bras online and overseas really easy to do. lol. I love Ingrid. It is gorgeous, the colors are warm, and the fabric is soft. This was one of the bras in my first Comexim order to gauge sizing, and it worked. And I was able to email Anna pictures so that she could see what alterations needed to be made for my future orders. I have only worn it once, to take the pictures. I will most likely be re-ordering this with the alterations.

    • Were you emailing Anna in English? If so, did you have any language issues at all?

    • Cymbidium I used the Google translator, and put the Polish version of my email at the top, and the English underneath, so that I could keep track of the conversations. She speaks very little English, but I have heard that she does speak Spanish very well. I didn't have any problems communicating with her :)

    • What's the correct Polish translation for "cup"? I've heard Google translate gives "chalice" instead.

I do know fluent spanish-speakers, so maybe I'll go that route.

    • Cymbidium Anna uses the word "bowl" for the cup. She replies in Polish, and I plug her reply into the translator, and bowl is what pops up.

    • Ok, thanks! I'm planning on asking her about the halfcups and possible alterations.

    • Cymbidium she is really amazingly sweet and helpful. Comexim is on vacation for the month of July, so if she doesn't respond right away, she isn't ignoring you :) What size do you wear?

    • My 55HH is a bit too large in the band, so I think I'll be getting a 50J, and probably the Emanuelle (but I don't know how to choose 😢).

Yeah, I was so disappointed when I saw that. I had just found my size and wanted to order more. 😢 I'll have to wait.

    • Emanuelle is really nice! the material is so soft! I would go ahead and email her anyways, if your size isn't in the pop up. At least then you will be on the list when they do come back :)

    • tanzi1103 I'm waiting on my Anna Pardal with alterations to determine what I'll get in Comexim in case something goes terribly wrong it.

    • Cymbidium ohhhh.. ok. I did the same thing with my new Comexim order. had to stop myself from getting Dottie until I knew if the alterations would work or not.

    • tanzi1103 It's so hard because I'll have to wait for the manufacturing time for the AP and then Comexim. 😧 so not for a couple of months will I get my Emanuelle.

    • Cymbidium that is the only thing that I don't like! the wait! and as soon as I get my tracking info, I am constantly checking for updates. lol

    • tanzi1103 haha yes, the tracking! On my last order from Wellfitting I was sent the wrong tracking number and I thought my package was sent to New York for about 4 hours until my items arrived that afternoon. Was not for a look ng time, bit still not fun.

After doing a few measurements, this bra actually has a 6 inch wide cup. GULP! It's also quite shallow, which explains the enormous quad. Like this is a very very bad quad. The bra itself is very pretty too, which makes me all the more sad. The wires are not "U" shaped but are..well, almost like a very very flat curve, if that makes sense. This bra is not uncomfortable in the wire arena, either (probably due to soft wires). Lowest gore of all Comexims yet. I suppose it basically runs a cup size small?

The wires are very good and my armpits are actually safe. However... I am quadding about. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I had this problem with my entire order (all 60HHs in bras and a swim top in 65H). It may be period related. Oh well.
Anyway, good for close set, projected boobs. This has been altered and has reduced cups/gore, straps moved in, and 3 hook back instead of 2 hook back.
