  1. Elena Plunge Bra (315)

    1
    like

    75J

    Fits

I ordered this with the following customizations: Nursing bra conversion and cookie pockets.

MY SHAPE: Narrow, projected, short roots, close set, center full, even fullness (not FOT or FOB)

FIT: Like a glove! I was surprised when I picked up a secondhand 75J - Comexim » Irish Coffee Plunge Bra (335) and it quickly because one of my most-reached-for bras; I previously hadn't really paid much attention to Comexim's plunge offerings. This bra fits just as well. Band is perfect, straps are perfect, cups are perfect. The only issue I have, and it's minor, is that there's a spot on the clasp that irritates my back. I'm sure ... it will soften up with washing.

APPEARANCE/QUALITY: Not much to report - it's a plain beige bra. The seams looked like they might show through clothing, but they don't. It's actually beige mesh over beige foam. The gore bow is plain beige as well, not the plaid from Comexim's website (thank goodness, I didn't care for the plaid one!). The nursing clips are large and easy to use and beige like the rest of the bra. The cookie pockets are shiny mesh, not cotton like Ewa's cookie pockets.

OVERALL: I ordered this bra custom because I was having trouble finding a basic beige nursing bra that I liked. I've been breastfeeding for almost 4 years continuously at this point and my youngest is nowhere near weaning so I know I need nursing bras for the long term. I can wear regular bras to work Mon-Fri, but in the evenings and weekends I really need a separate wardrobe of nursing bras. This bra is DEFINITELY going to be one of my go-to bras for home.

This is my second 'basic longline 3hc' but still doesn't fit me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> The cups and gore are too tall for me. I will list this and re-order with different alteration.

Except that the cups are too tall for me (I am short rooted, pendulous and soft tissue), this is a great daily bra. Will suit projected, narrow rooted, tall or fot breasts.

The band is stretch so it fits like 36h/38gg imo.

    • Thanks for this review! It sounds like we are close in size and shape. Generally speaking do you think the 3HC style suits you? I am looking at getting something from Comexim soon but plunges and half-cups aren't styles I would normally go for with my soft tissue and larger cup size.

    • Yes, I think the 3hc is a good fit for me. I have more 3hc bras and wear them a lot. Weirdly comexim plunge bras give me OIG effect, they are very deep and narrow though. But I've never get it as wearing the 3hc style. I think it has enough immediate projection.

    • Thanks!!

  3. Sonia Half Cup (406)

    like

    65M

    Didn't fit

I adore the look of the Sonia. It's feminine, understated, elegant but not without a hint of sexiness. The Sonia was my favorite in appearance of the three Comexims I purchased together from Breakout Bras at the same time. I love the color scheme which isn't at all boring but also doesn't show through fabrics. Plus with my pink undertones and freckles - the pinky/peach cups and beigey brownish straps are practically better than a nude for me.

I also LOVE the shape this bra gives - it's such a gorgeous rounded shape and in this size where the cups are too small for ... me to wear out of the house, I'm tempted to keep it since I get that locked in place perfectly round, but separate, "cakes on a plate" look. I probably would have tried to make it work but the cups being too small made the wires sit on breast tissue and the gore not tack properly, so I had to wear the straps very tight to keep everything in place, which was very painful. Still, check out the pictures, the bra fits like a lingerie model's (meaning it's sooo pretty on but when you look closer you realize it doesn't fit right at all, but still, soo *pretty* that you want to buy it even though you know it will never look like that on you)

Despite being labeled as a 'padded balcony' instead of a padded half cup like the 65N - Comexim » Burgundy Half Cup (357) the two bras seemed to be nearly identical in cut, or they did the way they fit me! At least to my untrained eye the Sonia looked like and had a lot of the same problems as the Burgundy Half Cup. The only differences I saw were: the burgundy was a better fit because the cups were a size bigger, but the Sonia looked better under clothing despite fitting substantially "worse" and being less comfortable. The Sonia's seams were flatter and didn't show as much under clothing, and the shape was more frozen in place so the quadding was more aesthetically pleasing than in the burgundy (I think this is a cup size thing too). Also, the cups were small enough on me that the wrinkling and slight gap I got on the top outside of the cups in the Burgundy is mostly filled in in the Sonia - but you can still see some slight wrinkling and gaping there, and I'm certain if there was more depth in the cups so the boob could settle properly, you'd see those same fitting issues; without alterations it would seem that this style has cups that are too tall and wires that are too wide for me and my center fullness.

I really love this bra and I wish I could keep it. Now I've got to do research and figure out if there are other models or alterations that I can get (or perhaps try the Ewa Michalak CHP or CH instead, though those straps are supposed to be even farther apart!) because I'd really love to have a padded half cup (or balcony?) like this one, I just need to find a design that will work with my shape!

  4. Emily Full Cup (85)

    85G

    Didn't fit

This is the third Comexim I've tried, actually, though I haven't written anything up for the other two yet (I'll get around to it eventually). It's definitely the closest fit I've tried? This one I got direct from Comexim and requested the gore reduction and straps moved inward 2cm. That part is great. For once I am not having issues with either pain from the gore being too tall on a full cup or straps constantly falling off. I'd sized up in the band size somewhat foolishly, though, so now this is a problem. I should have at least gone with an ... 80H instead of the 85G, though with how big this one is measuring a 75HH might be a better bet, but live and learn.

Since I picked it up literally because it was on sale enough to be a cheaper test to figure out sizing and alterations, I didn't pick it for the look, and I don't particularly like the design. Admittedly it's a lot prettier in person than I found it on the website, it's just not my cup of tea.

As far as the cup fit goes, I'm not quite filling the tops, especially on the side that's smaller, though the bottom seemed okay after I scooped and positioned the wire. My shape is more even than FOT or FOB, so I think it just expects a little more top fullness than I've got. Though also I'm finding the Comexim wires are a little narrower than I really need, and paired with the large band, they don't stay in place all that well, which contributes to not filling the cups out properly as tissue escapes out the side. It's not uncomfortable because the wires are so soft, but it leads me to not feeling very supported. I may attempt to make my own modification to shorten the band, though, because otherwise it seems wearable, and I can't return it anyway, and I could definitely use more wearable bras as at the moment I have none, haha.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that every redhead should own an Ingrid.

That being said, I wish this fit better. Putting aside that I need a 75 (extenders exist!), this is too wide and shallow for me, and maybe a touch small in the cup. Totally wearable, and the materials are super comfy. But the fabled Comexim narrow/deep cups seem to be a thing of the past. If it were bigger (75HH?), I'm guessing it would be too closed on top. I'm still unsure whether or not a custom Comexim is worth the time and effort.

    Comexim Ingrid - Take 2!

I ordered this Ingrid from Breakout Bras; the size on the tag only indicates 32G, as an FYI. The Breakout Bra website recommends sizing up one cup size in this bra. I agree with this recommendation. The band is also very snug - I plan on using an extender until the band stretches a bit. If you do not care to do this, I recommend going up in the band as well.

Edited to add - I have lost some weight and now the band fits perfectly.

As for the cup fit, I fill the cup well on the sides and top but there is ... a hint of a gap in the center, directly above the gore. I believe this is because of both the narrow wires and narrow gore. However, the gap is minimal and is not visible under clothing. I don't consider this to be a size mismatch but a shape mismatch. All in all, I consider this bra to be a fit even though Bratabase does not.

Appearance - This bra is beautiful! I love the cream color and the floral pattern that reminds me of days gone by - but not in a granny sort of way. The material is comfortable.

    70HH

    Didn't fit

I wish I had measured this bra right when I received it, but I didn't, so I'm fudging the band length a bit to be more in line with Rose Half Cups. 30" is about how far the band stretches without distorting the cups anyway.

Despite it being 'stretchy', the band on this bra is somehow also very firm, or at least it feels so to me. For my 29" ribcage, this bra was initially too tight to wear, but after a few wearings and/or a bit of lost weight(?), I'm more comfortable in it. Apparently black-band Comexim bras run small? I'm eyeballing the Noir, and Jaimie from BraObsessed ... warned me that that one is even smaller than usual, with a 34/75 only stretching to 31.5"... yeesh!

Also: finally, a bra with wires narrow enough for me? They might actually be very slightly too narrow, which could also be because of the cups being a little bit too small. It's a wild feeling not to have extra volume on the sides of a bra's cup, honestly. Though I guess I should try a 70J/32GG in my next padded Comexim... just to make sure that a size up wouldn't be perfect! (I do have a Jade "Liftsational" on the way in two cup sizes, hopefully my email to Wellfitting caught them in time to get a 70HH/70J...)

This is a really lovely bra. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> And it gives me such a great shape! I have three Cleo/Panache Marcie-model bras, and they all give me a sad squished shape on the sides and not nearly enough lift. Not so in this bra! A beautiful round shape.

I do have to heartily recommend shopping with Jaimie, the back-and-forth I have been having since yesterday afternoon about what models I should try in Ewa Michalak has been so much more helpful than any back-and-forth I've had with a bra website before, honestly. I said I prefer rounded shapes because I vaguely recalled that was relevant to which model of EMs I should buy, and out Jaimie whipped two suggested models (CHP, followed by PL) and a further recommendation of something that was in stock in a size that should work for me. (Eyeballing the measurements on the Opium, I have to agree that it seems like the G cup there (slightly deeper than the "G" on Comexim's padded plunge) would be perfect...)

I ordered this Comexim from Breakout Bras. The bra that I received only has the size '32GG' on the tag.

Sizing advice from the Breakout Bra website recommends going up two cup sizes in this bra and I agree with that assessment. My standard UK cup size is an FF in most bras and I ordered this bra in GG. The cup fits almost perfectly and is very comfortable. There is very slight gap between my breast tissue and the very edge of the cup. I feel a smaller cup size would cause overflow.

The band is very snug on the tightest hooks. Because of this Bratabase flags this bra as a non-fitting one for me but I think once I break it in, the band will be fine as I was able to stretch the band to 33" when I measured it.

Overall, very happy with my first Polish bra that fits!

Update - Have lost a few pounds, bra now fits fine without an extender.

This bra is gorgeous to look at - very sexy and pinup/goth looking. However, the materials and fabric are rough and stiff and not comfortable at all. The lace also shows under clothing quite a bit. I no longer own this bra as the cups were slightly too small for me, but I don't think that I will reorder it in a larger size since even though it is super pretty, the cons out way the pros for me in this style.

I looooove this bra. It's by far the prettiest one I own! I went to the local boutique to try on some bras with the intention of then ordering them online via eBay, but I ended up leaving the store with this beauty. The cups are a nice peachy pink material covered with silver lace, and the straps are a medium-dark taupe color. This is my first Polish bra, and I adore the super rounded shape it gives me. It's a bit more structured than I was expecting, but not really in a bad way, it'll just take some getting use to the "boob armor" feeling. Gore tacks ... nicely (a little soft, but I hear that's to be expected in this brand) and the cups are nice and narrow. My larger breast fits perfectly, which means the smaller side gaps a bit at the top of the cup, but this is almost undetectable once I put a pad on that side.

A note about the sizing- My local boutique seems to have had Comexim label their order with UK sizes. Mine only has one size on the tag, and it is 34H. I had to contact the boutique to double check that this was equivalent to 75K before I could enter this bra on Bratabase because the system kept rejecting it with just the UK size! I typically wear a 34G/34GG/32H depending on brand/style, so I would say the band is true to size and the cups run a little small on this one.

I'll definitely be getting my hands on more Comexim bras!

Was lucky to score this bra at braobsessed.com. Jaimie was really helpful in that she measured the stretched band and cup depth for me when I emailed and asked her to.

As for the bra it's beautifully designed and in my favorite cup 3HC. My large side is just on the verge of quadding and if I scoop all the breast tissue in it does want to spill a little. It's not completely unbearable so I will keep the bra as 5 lbs lost and it will likely fit just fine. The materials on this one are luxurious!

    • 1

gratiat Thanks and I hear you! I keep saying no more bras...ha! Comexim could do that for you I'm sure! The plunge is standard for this bra...Jaimie just happened to have a 3HC in my almost size ✔️

    • 1

      What a gorgeous color.

I was wondering if you could recommend any resources (or perhaps explain yourself) about what exactly a CHP or other half cup styles are, compared to a "normal" bra and what types of breasts they are suited for? As a larger breasted person I feel like the last thing I need is HALF a bra cup...

    • 2

triumphof I can do my best and maybe others can chime in too. The 3HC is a three seamed half cup design. If you look closely at the bra you will see those 3 seams. Now half a cup is fine if you don't mind a little boob showing at the top half plus they can be cleavage inducing. I don't mind this cut for a little less coverage but I certainly wouldn't do any running in it. If the half cup fits it can be fine on fuller chests too. Might get some jiggle. My breast are full on bottom and pendulous if that helps? So that means they lift my breast tissue well into the half cup bottom portion. If I were fuller on top I would definitely have more cleavage going on.

    • 1

roxannelovesbras I follow you! I have soft, pendulous tissue and have even fullness, with a little more in the bottom and center. I feel like with tissue as soft as mine, the top of my breasts would spill over the top as I moved around no matter how well the bra fit. I am somewhere around a UK 34HH/34J/36H depending on style and band stretchiness.

    • Yes you are probably right triumphof . With movement you might find yourself adjusting too much. But if you were wanting a cleavage inducing not wearing too long bra it may work :)

    • 1

The color and shape are amazing! Gorgeous!! <3 Jaimie!

  16. Garden Of Eden Half Cup Bikini Top

    60J

    Fits

This is the most gorgeous bikini ever! I was very lucky to find one in Bratabase since Garden of Eden never made it into full production. The colorful floral pattern is exquisite, and the quality is great as expected from Comexim. It also fits better than any of my previous swimwear (which is not really saying much but it does fit very well!)

This bikini top is customized as a 3HC with the straps moved in and detachable straps. The cups might be running a bit small? They fit quite similarly to my 60HH - Comexim » Sonia Half Cup (406) . The cups and gore seem ... quite low as well; maybe Comexim’s bikinis are lower coverage than their bras? The cups fit very well, although the gore is not tacking (as usual for me), and the cleavage is just a bit more than what I would prefer in swimwear. But this will be perfect for most occasions nevertheless I’m sure!

The band is tight, but still wearable for my 26 inch ribcage (and I assume it will stretch a bit). Both the band and the cups seem to fit a bit more loosely when the suit gets wet. The straps are quite long and only adjustable for a very short part. I can still wear this without crossing the straps in the back when they are adjusted to the tightest, because the band is supportive enough and my breasts are not especially high-set. But I think it would be quite easy to shorten them too.

The bikini bottoms in size M are a pretty nice cut but a bit loose on me. Also, I’m slightly insecure about the bottoms when swimming because they’re mostly white and made from a single layer of fabric. I might try to find a solid-colored bikini bottom to go with the top, or then ask Comexim if they have the material to make a smaller size.

Overall, I’m very much in love with this bikini. It’s a joy to wear!

First of all its really pretty! The brown base with cream lace on top makes it quite sexy. Also combination with salmon ribbons fits well.
As it is previously used bra, the band 65 its bit stretched and fits me great with my 72cm underbust, however it is still snug.
The wires are narrower than in 65g o_o, and they feel good, comfy after full day of wear.
The strap placement is not bad, feels better than some other comexims that I own. Also the straps are fully adjstable and very comfy.
The cups.. this is the main problem. Same as is 65G I get cutting in my boobs because of this ribbon that makes the bra too closed. I dont have any other comexim with this ribbon on top, but all in 70f fits me well including 65G - Comexim » Mascotte .
Really pretty bra and comfy, passed the test for 90% as by the end of the day I had to adjust it a little.

First of all its really pretty! The brown base with cream lace on top makes it quite sexy. Also combination with salmon ribbons fits well.
The bra is in 65 so it is big too tight on me as I dont like very snug bands - I could close it but feels much more comfier with 2 rows from extender.
The wires are okay, but could be more narrow - I didnt bend them as I dont wear it, but ... if Id wear it id definietly bend wires
The strap placement is not bad, feels better than some other comexims that I own. Also the straps are fully adjstable and very comfy.
The cups.. this is the main problem. 65G is my sister size from standard 70F, and unfortunately I have quadboobs, but the quadboobs are casue by the ribbon on top of the cups. I dont have any other comexim with this ribbon on top, but all in 70f fits me well including 65G - Comexim » Mascotte which is same size as this one.
Really pretty bra, but if Id ever try to replace it I would go with plunge without the ribbon on top or as a Halfcup

exactly what i was looking for --- a thin, unlined (non-padded) wire bra for the hot summers. ive worn it about 5 times so far and really am loving it. although i still want the rounded shape i get from the regular comexim plunges (and i still miss my ill-fitting super padded bras) this bra doesnt add appearance of extra cup sizes, but i still wear it in public... this is a 1st for me, and says a lot https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

This bra is not owned any more

    Didn't fit

Finally, bikini success! Since starting my search for better bras I've been very successful with regular bras, but not so much with bikini tops. Last year, I tried a lot of Freya tops, and eventually bought one that really doesn't match my shape (I'm pretty projected, but not that projected).

So, when I discovered that the Comexim 3HC is pretty great on me, I decided to order a bikini top in the same model. And it's beautiful! Simple and all black, with gold details, which I usually don't care for, but on this top it works.

The half cup shape really looks lovely, and the fact that it's not a ... halter top makes my neck muscles rejoice! The cups fit, but they are either a tiny bit too small, or a little too closed on top. I get the tiniest bit of quad boob. However, it's not really a problem for me, as it's a bikini top and I don't plan to wear it under clothes. Without clothes, I think I will be the only one to notice the quadding, and it gives me good cleavage.

The band is tight, as all Comexim bras are, but I like it, and the clasp has some sort of security click system that will prevent it from springing open accidentally (I've had a snap happy clasp on a bikini before, that was a bit too adventurous for my taste). The straps are not fully adjustable, and rather stretchy, so I'll probably have to shorten them.

The bra is quite low coverage, but I like that the cups are not as short as the Ewa CHPs. This means there is little risk of nipples peeking out.

I'm interested to see what happens once this gets wet, but I have high hopes for this top keeping its excellent shape in the water.

*damn, I need to clean my mirror, it's so dusty!

I have the Bra Obsessed plunge version! Trust me, you won't regret this at all. This bikini holds up amazingly to water. My straps are a little too long for comfort but they didn't get very stretchy when wet and nothing gaped or moved around or anything!

Cool, I didn't know there also was a plunge version of this top, but I prefer the 3HC cut anyway. Good to hear that it keeps its shape in the water.

Do you have the bottom as well? I have a lovely Freya bottom, but it's black with white polka dots, so a slight mis match. I'm considering ordering ordering a matching bottom...

I don't, but I kinda want to. I love how soft the fabric is.
