No alterations - the cut of this one seems a little small somehow, as if the cup is shorter than usual. A gorgeous combination of colors - the band is very stretchy on this one, so there must be something about the fabric to account for. I seem to prefer a 65 band however for comfort. This is a soft, pretty little bra that gives you the vague impression that you might have been a princess in another life and this bra is your reigning crown!!
The band runs much looser than the Comexim Joy Hc (383) (regular halfcup version), so I'm glad I sized down to a 65 band instead of following the measurement table which indicated I should order a 70.
It runs small in the cups. Comexim Halfcups tend to run 1 cup size smaller anyways, but this particular one is even smaller (presumably because of the reduced cups). I suspect it's 2 cup sizes smaller, since I usually fit into Comexim 65F/70E (and accordingly UK 30E).
The cups are shallow-friendly. The wires are soft and stretch with the band when the bra is put on. So the cups are slightly wider than the measurements indicate.
Due to the soft wires and smooth materials it's very comfy to wear and I suspect it'd give a rounded, uplifted shape when in the correct size. The look is very pretty and colorful, the material is soft, smooth and nice and the quality is excellent!
I love this bra. I don't typically buy "basic" bras anymore (that's all I used to wear) but I knew I needed one.
For interviews I've been wearing an Aerie Lindsey 32D and I can't scoop and swoop so it's mostly uncomfortable. I put the Lindsey up for sale after ordering my Comexims.
As usual, up front and center cups, no pushing in side tissue awkwardly, or lettinf it flop to the sides. Wires touch, gore height is perfect, cup height is perfect. I was a bit worried about cup height, especially after trying the 60HH (65H). That's one size up but it looks so much bigger by comparison. Really not sure what's up with ...that xD
The band is taut; I thought it was too tight at first but then I realized I had it way too far up my back. After sitting it where it should be, I realized that mine is definitely TTS. I guess maybe I ought to stop saying that with 30 bands, because I'm measuring 29", but I honestly think it could go another inch.
Cup depth is perfect for me. Not too deep or too shallow. I swear, I love Comexim.
The gore doesn't tack perfectly. I'm not sure what exactly is causing that, as the band is firm and the cups are definitely large enough.
Anyway, this works with my shape. I'm mostly even but functionally FoB. I noticed in the 60HH basic beige, it seemed to be made for FoT people. Possibly explaining the upper gap. The 65G however, measures the same in the top and bottom of the cup. It's for even boobs.. Has anyone else noticed more space up top on the 60HH/70H+ bras, or did I just get a special one? The Basic 65G in white is so different, and cups aren't as high.
Other than that, padding, like the other Comexims, is very minimal. It's a thin layer of foam. Very comfy. The cups have a somewhat shiny, soft material on the outsides and band. Band feels super supportive in this one, unlike my 70G (my mistake) and 65H Joy Hc and Longline. Straps are fully adjustable.
So I'd say if you're even or just very slightly FoB/FoT, with close set boobs naturally of when lifted, and need narrow wires, the Basic is excellent. I also want to add that I have tall roots/pecs or something, but very shallow. I was concerned about cup height, especially after trying the 60HH. These cups aren't high on me or deep, which is great. I can't say that for the60HH which is definitely FoT. If you're concerned at all, consider ordering lowered cups.
I'm super happy to finally have a supportive, comfortable, simple bra. Yay Comexim! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Edit: I wore this all day yesterday. At the end of the day, I was super happy to see that the wires came less than half an inch away from my tissue. I have an uncommon IMF, so it's mostly impossible to find narrow enough wires with enough cup depth. This, and my Coco are the best. I wish I could say the same for the Joys, but unfortunately, at least the Longline runs pretty wide. Read more 408 more words
@pumpkinswife Just wanted to tag you so you can see the 65G. I mentioned in my review that 60HH runs FoT. I don't know if that has anything to do with fabric or sizing differences.
Maybe someone else can add their two cents because I'm new to Comexim and I don't know if their sizing/shape changes with depth, or if one of my bras is just odd.
* pumkinswife My bad. I don't see an edit button anymore..did I break it?D:
Awesome!!! I can't believe how much shorter the cups look.
pumkinswife I know! It's crazy. Believe it or not, I measured from the bottom wire to the top cup edges on my 60HH /65H and the 65G, and the HH is only about a centimeter higher. I even layed the G inside the bigger one to make sure I didn't measure wrong.
I guess it's the unnecessary cup depth that tries lying flat and makes the cups look taller. That's all I can guess.
Adorable print and this size fits (27 inch UB 35 inch leaning OB), maybe a teeny small in cup (or cups are too far apart and/or closed?). Still, wearable. So far I am not as impressed with Comexim as I have been with Ewa Michalak. Prehaps EM is just a better fit for my shape, but I also find Comexim to feel heavy and a bit hot for south Texas weather.
I decided to try a Comexim bra because they're supposed to be narrow and deep. It's definitely narrow, but there's very little projection at the bottom of the cups. This may be due to the band being too tight - it stretches to just 28" - and I hope it will be better once I've tried it with a bra extender. I don't want to spend too long wearing it just yet in case the hooks come out entirely. In hindsight, I think it would have been better to order the 70F!
I ordered this 65G Comexim Jacqueline Bra with three custom features: (1) Reduced (lower than standard) cups (2) Reduced (lower than standard) gore (3) Hooks and eyes that are 3x3 instead of the 3 columns and 2 rows that are probably standard in this size
As a result of these custom features, the bra fits this very petite 30F gal well except the wires are significantly too narrow. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> There is no room for doubt; this bra is too narrow in the wires for me. The 5" cup width I found when measuring it confirms this.
Other than that, I love this bra. The black and white houndstooth type pattern is striking. The red trims are true red and perfectly complement the black and white pattern of the cups. This is a well designed bra. I cannot recall seeing a similar looking bra anywhere.
I have a typical problem with this: I need shorter cups near the straps, as I have a short torso and narrow shoulders. Other than that, I should probably sister size down, as this band is a too loose for my 27" underbust.
The wire width is perfect, the band is perfect and the strap placement was great. The color is different than what's on the website, it's much more richer and darker. The straps are great too.
The bra is unlined. Stitching and detailing are flawless, very well constructed.
Unfortunately, it does not fit me, the cups were much too roomy at the top; very similar issue I had with the Comexim Laura in the same size; the cups are too deep, and they feel like in my case it runs a cup size too large. I adjusted the straps on both bras to the exact same length, and the ...gaping was very similar. I will say that if I tightened this bra up more than I did with the Laura, the cups appear to fit better, but I don't want to overstress the elastic that's sewn on the sides of the cups between the strap and wing of the bra. It also felt a little firmer than the Laura as well. I think I would have to size down in the cup in order to make this bra work, although I think the wires would end up being a touch too narrow if I did that. Read more 97 more words
The wire width is perfect, the band is perfect and the strap placement was great. The color is what I would consider a soft creamy ivory, although on their website, it's labeled as "szampan" which translates to champagne. I have an olive skintone and it complements my skin very well.
The straps can be considered as being only partially adjustable though, since the straps from the top of the cups have some lace that's sewn onto the straps; the length goes about 5 3/8" or 13.7cm. However if you're careful enough you can feed the lace through the slider, it's pretty flat.
The bra is unlined. Stitching and detailing are ...flawless, very well constructed.
Unfortunately, it does not fit me, the cups were much too roomy at the top. I have these inserts that according to water displacement adds about 89cc of tissue, which is slightly over half of a cup size (ie going from 30F to 30FF) and when I put them on, the cups still did not quite fill out all the way. I think if I were to get this bra again, I would have to go down a cup size. When I compare the measurements against the Comexim Green Velvet in 65H that I tried, the cup depth difference is only 0.1cm difference so I would say that this bra runs about a cup size too big. after I survived first 3 days of wearing it I can't imagine how could I live without it. It doest'n stretch but I have it for two months only. It really fits and doesn't scratch my skin. the wires may be to hard for some
