I don't even..... I guess when I got this I derped on the letter ? I'm not even close to a J. The band and straps, however, are good. Nice, firm band, straps stay on. Sorry I don't have much else to say about this bra :/
This is my first properly fitting bra, after believing that I was a 34 C for much of my life. Somehow, this bra makes my boobs feel and look more lifted than the pushup bras that I used to wear. Also, I'm not dying to take it off after a long day - my boobs feel much happier in this bra than anything I've ever worn from bra stores in the mall. The underwire coming up so high in my armpit is a little bit annoying, but that's probably just because I'm so used to underwires that barely cover enough of my boobs. I definitely do not recommend falling asleep in this bra, from experience.
I'm really disappointed in this one. figleaves claimed it's a push-up, and there's only light padding lining the inside. The underwires angle inward and dig painfully into my sternum, and the cups are too big. It's so cute though; I was excited for it :c
Pros: Too pretty to wear a shirt with https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Once I've swooped/scooped in, ba-bam the girls are uh-mazing. It's very comfortable, love the 3 hook closure for smoothing and support.
Cons: Too decorative, details will show under just about any shirt, will have to wear under many layers. The band is a bit too stretched out and I have to start on at least the middle hook.. this could be because it's used? The gore is sooo close to being perfectly tacked, but the cups are just a tad shallow.. yet somehow.. The 32H is a litttttttle big in the cups but I think a 32GG would have been too small, because it is a tad shallow.
Finally, I got my hands on a Curvy Kate Thrill Me - and in purple! Which is the color I really wanted. Many times I saw it on sale on brastop or on ebay but never in my size. But then I got lucky, pinkwonder had a Thrill Me and wanted to trade for my too-shallow Cleo Darcy Padded Balconette (6821). I know it was a gamble because the Curvy Kate Tempt Me (SG4001) and Curvy Kate Elegance (CK1401) did abysmal things to my poor boobs, due to how wide and shallow the cups are. I fared a ...little better with the Curvy Kate Tease Me [showgirl Collection] (SG2001) although there was an odd flattening effect from the side, while at the same time my breasts were pushed up to my neck.
The Curvy Kate Thrill Me [showgirl Collection] (SG3001) is cut pretty similar to the Tease Me, but it seems like it's a little deeper. This also could be because I went up a cup size and down a band size, because the Tease Me bordered on quadboob territory. It is a delicious shade of purple with jade ribbon trim. There is also a purple net ruffle going along the top of the cups. In typical Showgirls fashion, the ribbon and trims seem over-the-top and not very practical for everyday wear. But I was determined to wear this bra yesterday so I found a dress that worked more or less with the bra. This dress has a ruched top; the looseness of the fabric hid any lumps that the ribbons might cause. The armholes are a little big, so you could see my bra there a little bit, but people are just going to have to get over the fact that I wear a bra.
The Thrill Me is almost too wide for me. The cups are also a little on the shallow side, so there is a minimizing effect from the side, similar to the Tease Me, but not as bad. The gore comes up pretty high so this is not a bra for low cut tops. I ended up removing those dang bows that sprout from the ends of the cups because all they do is end up in my armpits. They strike me as a pointless, chafe-inducing detail.
The band is very stretchy for a 28, but I've come to expect that from Curvy Kate. I've decided I'm going to hang on to this bra, but sell/exchange my other Curvy Kates. (I'm still on the fence about the Tease Me! It's just so impractical...) Read more 331 more words
The Tease Me is hands down the prettiest bra I own! With that being said, it does have some minor issues. First of all, WHY ARE THERE RIBBONS AT THE ARM PITS. My armpits don't need to be decorated, thank you. Definitely will be snipping these off, seeing as they show through clothing and serve no real purpose. On a similar note, if you're petite, do keep in mind that the straps are fairly wide set. I'm 5'0" and my shoulders are only about 15" across, so I have learned to accept that correctly fitting bras will always have wide set straps in comparison to my body. It's ...a minor discomfort, but I just don't think that bras in my size are made with a petite frame in mind.
My ribcage is about 31.5", and normally I wear a 32FF in Panache/Cleo, and 30G in Freya. I was told that Curvy Kate bras run large in the band, so I sized down to my sister size, 30G. The band is perfect on the loosest hook for now, although I'm actually thinking that I might have been able to squeeze into a 28GG, even if I may have needed an extender. As for shape: the lift is AWESOME. Definitely more lift/cleavage than the Freya Deco (4234) , although it doesn't seem to center the boobs as much. And, you should be able to tell by the appearance, but you can't wear this under a t-shirt because... pretty ribbons and lace. Also, I do have to note that this is the SOFTEST bra I have. seriously, the molding isn't as stiff as the Deco, and is so, so comfortable! Very well made.
TL;DR: Hot bra, great cleavage, size down in band to sister size, ribbons at arm pits, wide set straps if you're a small adult, soft and smooth cups, well made. Read more 203 more words
This bra fit really well when I first bought it (~2 months ago) but after some tissue migration, the fit has gone down to "decent".
I still really like the shape it gives, rounded with very nice cleavage - and this is the first moulded bra I've tried that accommodates my lower fullness. And the leopard print is super cute, but very subtle! I might try a 32G in a different colour.
The straps on this bra dug into my shoulders. I could barely keep it on long enough to try it on. It's a very attractive bra. I had the same problem with the 28FF Curvy Kate Emily. That one, an unpadded balconette, also gave me an east-west and downward pointing look. I've decided not to try any more Curvy Kate bras.
I love, love, love this bra. I was sort of torn about whether or not to get it when I first saw it on brastop (not sure that leopard is my thing, but red is my favourite colour), but I saw it in a store locally (not in my size) and thought it looked sooo pretty I wanted one. The colours are so complimentary - the lace is sort of a golden colour.
This bra fits similar to the Curvy Kate Elegance (CK1401) . I think that the band might be looser, or if not looser, maybe stretchier? I can do this one up on the ...second hook, my Elegance fits best on the loosest. The band feels firm there, but not uncomfortable as it stretches. I'm hoping it won't stretch out too quickly.
This bra does a good job of pushing up, and gives a rather perky profile (rounded, but not so much top-to-bottom rounded like a Freya Deco (4234) . It is a plunge bra, but I don't feel like I'm going to fall into the middle at all.
Also this bra is soooo comfortable. Much more comfortable than it looks like it should be. The inside of the cups is made from a soft material, and the cups are 3 part seamed with a thin layer of foam. The lace isn't so visible under most shirts.
I liked it so much I also bought the matching underpants! Read more 134 more words
I ordered this bra in ivory and teal and I really love the colour combination. I think the embroidery is very pretty and I think the style of it gives it a classy look compared to other Curvy Kate bras (which I would describe as a more fun look). The swirls instead of bows on the centre gore and the straps is a nice change of style. Style wise I think it's great, although I have the say the swirls on the straps were scratchy on the skin when I hold out my arms in front of me.
The band fits like other 30 bands I own and I found it nice and firm. The only issue of fit I had is with the cups. I put in my fit assessment that it give a smooth line along the top, but to be honest, I think it's slightly too tight on the top and I would prefer something a bit more roomy there. I think this style might work better for those who are fuller on the bottom.
I got the bra in black and silver, and it is absolutely beautiful. Aesthetics aside, the gore digs. A lot on me. And the tops of the cups are not really filled out. It might be fixed by going down a band to a 28DD (and going down a cup volume in the process). The cups may also be too shallow for my shape
This bra is so pretty. However, the shape is all wrong for me. My boobs are narrow and deep while the bra has wide wires that come really high under my armpits. Because there is so much space unfilled, my breasts settle more east west than I would like. I could maybe resolve some of the issues by going down a size, but that won't change the shape. The band is nice and snug.
This bra was always too small and too tight and shape wasn't good for full on the top boobs. I bought it second hand and it was too tight for previous owner - the last row of hooks is stretched.
I just can't do unpadded. It's really pretty, the only problem is really that it digs into my armpits. Not too badly, though. Size was pretty good. A bit big on me, but I kind of expected it to be.
