The cups are very shallow on this bra and the band runs quite big. It may work well for someone very little lower fullness and an all around shallower shape. I ordered in a size that was outright too small for me even in bras with projection, so it wasn't quite even close to fitting. All around though I think the bra is quite pretty and I wouldn't at all mind owning one if it came in a size and cup depth that suited me better, as the wire width and height were wonderful for me.
I love this bra!! I guess having the Gulf of Mexico between my breasts is a good thing for Curvy Kate styles, because I have never had the complaint of having too wide of a center gore. When I first got the 30H, I thought it was too big, so I ordered the 30GG. Then I realized that it was supposed to fit like that, lol! You have to wear this bra for a little while to let your breasts settle into the cup, but once you do, va-va-va-voom!!! Very pretty decollete, and gives the best balcony shape ever. The lace ruffle ...at the top of the cup will show up under some tops, but for some tops this is the perfect solution. I did notice that after wearing it all day, my shoulders hurt a bit more, so I had to do some adjustment in the straps, but it's fine now. This is a great bra for when you want a sexy silhouette for a long wear, but don't want the major cleavage of a push-up bra that shouldn't be worn too long. What goes up, must come down, ladies!! Wearing a push-up all day will stretch your breast tissue out and make them sag all that much quicker. Balcony bras are a great solution, and this one is the sexiest I own!!! Read more 125 more words
While this bra technically fit me, it did not provide very good support, and created a very strange shape. The different pieces of mesh on the bra cup almost created a rectangular breast shape. I will be returning this bra.
The wires really dig in to my sternum and left a bruise after 4 or 5 hours of wear. I think bending the wires so they curve around my body will help fix the problem (if not, bending the wire away from the sternum definitely will). The top of the cup wrinkles a bit— I'm not sure if I need to go down a size or the bra is just wrong for my breast shape.
This bra is my best fitting one for my very shallow breasts. When I first got it the top of the gore dug into my breast bone uncomfortably, but after a few weeks the band stretched out and it rarely gets into an uncomfortable position now. Although the ruffles are cute, they do not work with most t-shirts and the bra shows in any sort of low cut v-neck top.
The wires feel almost too narrow for me, although really I think they're just on the edge of being too narrow. They're stiffer than some of the other Curvy Kate bras I've tried, which is nice.
The real issue with this bra is the lack of depth in the cup, It is way too shallow for me -- I can't fill out the bottom, and quad boob out the top. Also, the apex is in the wrong spot so I somehow get an east-west look. It's beautifully round from the side (save the quad boob) but from the front and under ...clothes it's terrible.
I ordered up a size from my usual cup size and down to a 32 since I knew it was a stretchy band, and the cup was STILL a cup size too small. So I'd say this runs at least 2 cup sizes too small.
It's not as open of a cup as some of the other Showgirl bras (like the Fleurty or Thrill Me), as it does curve in some at the top. I think this would be a good option for people who get a bit too much gapping at the top of those bras, if they can get their size right. I think the shape would be good for me if it were a deeper cup as from the side it's not absolutely terrible. But I'm not sure if I could ever really get it to fit me. Read more 145 more words
This is a really beautiful bra. It's a sturdy, shiny satin and the mesh on top has lovely gold embroidery and open cutwork. It looks just amazing and is very flattering on top of the breast.
I think this bra runs true to size in the band. I'm a large 32/small 34 and the 32 was comfortable and fit, but distorted the wires when fastened. With an extender it was much better and still wearable, and the wires stayed in the right place then.
Unfortunately the cup is just not the right shape for me. It's too wide (surprising, as I like wide wires!) and waaaaay too shallow. The apex ...is totally in the wrong place for my relatively balanced boobs. I have a ton of projection at the bottom and center, and a fair amount of tissue on top, as well as a high root. The wins are too long for me, and get all up under my arms... and in turn they get pushed down which exacerbates the problem of the bra being too shallow at the bottom of the cup for me. I end up being able to pinch a good inch of fabric after just a few minutes at the bottom and sides of the bra, while the top starts to press into the tissue and gives me the inverted seven look.
It also goes all east-west on me because the apex just isn't right for me. It's too far out to the sides... for all that I have a wide root I'm pretty front and center.
I'm very sad this bra doesn't work, because I really love it, but it's just not a match. Read more 169 more words
I bought this bra because I love the colour - it's such a pretty combination. This is the first Curvy Kate bra that I ordered (but the 5th I've received) so I was pretty lost as to which size to order. I read that the band size is a little smaller than in other Curvy Kates, so it's not as necessary to size down in the band, but that the cups were bigger so to size down by 1. This is what I did, hoping for a perfect fit.
Unfortunately, a perfect fit was not had. The cups are extremely small on me. I don't think I have top-heavy ...breasts, so it's not an issue with the bra not accommodating that; it's just that it's waaay to small. The band is a good-ish fit; I'm fastening it on the second hook. Going down a band size would probably make it too small.
The cups do come up higher on this bra than on the Tease Me bra - the Tease Me threatens to show my nipples at the top edge, but the Fleurty doesn't. I have also ordered this bra in a 32E and 32F (these were the only other 2 sizes I could find that might fit) so am hoping that one of them fits!
I also ordered the matching shorts, which are kind of a strange fit. The top elastic is quite a bit tighter than the rest of the short, so while it cuts in, the rest of the short fits a little loose. Read more 149 more words
This is the second size of this bra that I ordered, and sadly, it's still not a great fit. The band is pretty loose, and I can fasten it on the tightest hook and it still feels a bit roomy.
The bra feels comfortable, it's soft on the inside and the straps adjust completely. The wires feel comfortable, they don't cut in or irritate under the armpit, and the straps don't feel too wide for my shoulders.
The top of the cup still doesn't seem to lie completely flat; I'm hoping that has something to do with not being able to adjust everything down to the proper tightness. I found a 30F in stock at brastop, which is on its way to me. Hoping the third one is the charm!
The Tease Me is a wonderful bra to look at, and for someone with bottom heavy boobs where fuller cups tend to wrinkle at the top a dream as it pushes the breast up a bit, filling the bottom and then lets whatever is left of breast tissue mound on top. A really flattering bra, simply, since it gives the illusion of rounder breasts.
The materials are soft and comfortable, but it should be said that the padding is rather thick (sadly) and that because the lace goes all the way out the where the wings start said lace sadly rubs against the fold between arm and breast. It ...would have been better if the lace had ended right at the side seam, giving way to the soft, blue elastic.
A lot of people choose to go a band size down in this bra, and a cup size up. I measure a little larger than 30 inches, with very little padding to provide a barrier, and I think it would have been agony going down to a band 30 in this. I suppose I could have gotten away with it, with a bra extender while breaking it in, but really I wouldn't recommend it unless you have some give to soften the firm hug this gives your rib cage, because even though the band is very stretchy it hugs you tight and stays in place.
When it comes to cup size, I think the reason many people recommend going up is not so much that the cup size is off as the fact that the cup is designed to give another look/feel. It is a rather shallow cup in the bottom, forcing breast tissue up and because it is a low cut design if you have top heavy breasts there is a tendency to overflow the top. Not because the cup size is off, but because the design and lift is different. So, if you have top heavy breasts do size up, but if you are bottom heavy be happy because you might just have a bra on hand that you can actually fill in your cup size.
Overall, a beautiful addition to any wardrobe.
Oh, and as for fitting under clothes I think the biggest problem is the side bows! The lace lays surprisingly flat, and is almost not visible underneath my blouses and dresses at all, but then I favour soft drapes for my hourglass form, rather than clingy ones.
I really like this bra when I saw it on others. For me there is an obvious fit problem, I am hoping that I can find a size that this bra will fit me in.
The problems were the gore didn't tack, there was wrinkling in the cup, one boob escaping. Etc.
I just HAD to try this bra when I found it on braswap, and was glad it was a bigger cup because I've had bad experiences with CK running small in the cups.
When I first opened the package, after I got over how pretty it is, I thought it was going to be too big but it is actually Almost too small. It looks too big when off, I think, because of all the material in the armpits.. it rubs me the wrong way :/ When I loosen the straps it helps a little.
It's a little shallow but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I don't think I can keep it though :/ which is a shame because it's awesome cleavage, and I love the 3 hook closure.
The Tease Me probably is my pet peeve or something. This is the second one I now have. I found it on Asos very cheap on sale. I wear it on the tightest hook from the beginning to make the thing fit.
Oh well it doesn't fit. I have to adjust constantly because tissue slips out everywhere. But what do I care with this bra?
Now to add to the fun: How many people would jump on a trampoline in this bra? I did for two hours. Worked just fine.
Even though I heard plunge bras aren't good for shallow breasts, I decided to give this one a try since it was so pretty and on sale. I read reviews and decided to size up from a 28DD to a 28E. I am glad I did! It fits great and is quite comfortable (now that I am stretching the band out a bit; the first time I wore it, I couldn't wait to take it off). It might be just a little too big because I am in between sizes, but it's not very noticeable. It doesn't give me any cleavage because of my shape, so I might try a 28DD in the future to see if I can get some cleavage, but I like it otherwise and decided to keep it.
I have just a smidge of room in the top of the cups here, but not enough to make it unwearable. The position of the straps in front is a little odd as they seem to dig into my frontal armpit area depending on my position, but once again, not unwearable. This is my first "real" bra so we will see how it goes https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
This bra is beautiful. The band, however, for a 32, feels pretty loose. I would have gone down one band size, but I bought it at brastop and they didn't have anything left in a 30 band. I think I will have to alter the band. I can wear it on the tightest hook comfortably now, but I'm not sure how long that will last.
The cups are very comfortable and soft. I went up one cup size, as everyone recommended that the Tease Me line in Curvy Kate ran large. The wires are wider than any of the bras I own, so I think that I probably didn't need to go up an extra cup size, as I think that they are a little bit large. There is a little bit of gaping at the top. I ordered the bra in a 32E also, and am waiting to get it and hoping that it fits!
Thanks for this review as I'm looking for a CK shallow and wide. :)
