This bra seems to run a little smaller than some of the other Curvy Kate lines. I probably would have organised an upsize, except there is none. It looks absolutely gorgeous though. I love the ribbon lacing detail on the sides. Straps always sit too wide for my shoulders, so this was not a real surprise.
I started this bra out on the smallest hook, so I'm not expecting to have huge amounts of shelf-life. Which is a pity, as it looks fantastic.
Tried this bra because Curvy Kate's padded bras work well for me and I wanted to try an unpadded. Unfortunately it's not a good fit for my wide, shallow breasts. The wires and cups are too narrow.
The fabric used in this bra is INCREDIBLE. It is so soft and smooth, like a luxurious bath robe. Unfortunately I couldn't reconcile this with how bad the cup shape was for my breasts.
There was not enough lower depth in the cups for me, so when my breasts moved upwards into the cup's apex there was empty space that collapsed and wrinkled above the underwire. This caused the naturally pointy cup shape to get even more sharp and wedge-like as the apex dropped, which I didn't like very much at all both in terms of the pointy shape and in terms of the lacking lift.
Someone with less lower fullness and a less conical natural shape than me would look fantastic in this bra and get great lift. Even though pink bows are not really my thing, I'm jealous of anyone who can fit into this soft, smooth beauty.
Love the "cake on the plate" effect! A 32HH would have probably been better as I can get a slight quadboob when I lean over. I would have never guessed, but it's also one of my comfiest bras.
Beautiful read with gold highlights. Gives me good lift and shape. Only complaint is that that the band is very stretchy and I can see myself going down hooks very quickly.
Sizes oddly... I fit a 32G in Freya and would in most Curvy Kate except the center gore tends to be too wide on me. The width was not an issue in this bra. The band is a BIG 30, I did get it slightly used from another poster so perhaps it stretches quickly? The cups are small, dropping a band and moving to the GG still wasn't enough to hold it all in - but the cleavage was spectacular.
The bra is beautiful but I may have trouble figuring out what I can wear it with as the ruffle detailing on the top of the cups is rather pronounced.
I was quite happy with this bra when I got it- I actually wore it as wedding lingerie, even though it's perhaps an unconventional choice. I've had it for quite some time now and it's reached the end of it's lifespan, plus I've outgrown it.
The straps are only half-adjustable, but I overcame that difficulty by sewing the adjusters in place so they didn't slide down. Princess bras do have the small hitch that the dots on them are textured, so they'll show up under a thin shirt. I'd say that it's probably one of my favourite unpadded styles which I've tried in recent years.

It fits me but so far it's not very comfortable, because the wires poke into my sternum and my ribs (not my breast tissue, otherwise I wouldn't have kept it!). I can only wear it with a folded tissue under the centre gore. I was assured that this bra would become more comfortable with wear, so I decided to keep it (also because it was pretty cheap at Brastop and I really like the colour). I agree with denocte that the cups are very flat, especially at the bottom, but I still like the shape they give me - it makes a nice change from the round Cleo shape. The ruffles show under thin tops and t-shirts but not as much as I thought they would. I'll write more later when I've worn the bra a bit more..
This bra is more beautiful in person than I expected, but I found out that the cups are too tall for my body.
The band is quite snug and very comfortable. This is my first three hook band that I've tried, and I really like the support it gives. I like the other CK bra bands I've tried in 2 hooks as well, but the 3 hooks just feel firm around my 27 in ribcage. The bra is in indigo and wine and the colors are just beautiful together. The bow in the center is a little big and looks a little awkward, but not too much.
The top ...of the cup is a sheer mesh with a pretty wine colored embroidered edge. The bottom is opaque satin-y and feels sturdier than the top. The straps are pretty thick compared to the bras that I am used to, but it feels comfortable and supportive. They were located at a good position. The cups came right under my arms to encase the tissue from my armpits.
Now, this bra is a terrible style for me. I seem to have pretty balanced breasts that I thought were full on bottom, but if they're held up, I can see where the tissue goes pretty high on my chest. Yet, the top of my chest is pretty empty. I think I'm actually semi full on top. Either way, I do not have the tissue to fill the top of this bra, or any others with a similar shape or height, so there was a lot of wrinkling at the top of this bra. The shape it gave me is very natural looking without a shirt, but it was quite pointy or torpedo shaped with a shirt on. I got a little bit of quadboob when I put my shoulders back (making it more evident that it's just not the shape for me even if I go a cup size lower). The seem where the mesh meets the opaque material is a little thick and would show under a tight t-shirt.
Overall, this is a very lovely bra, and it feels quite sturdy and seems like it could give some good support, but is not suited for my breasts. Read more 267 more words
I love this bra! It is perfect for my tear drop shape breasts and the fact that my breasts sit low on my chest...it makes me look perky! The only problem I have is the gore...it leaves red marks on my chest wall and I may need the next size up because I get a bad quad boob and I feel it is smashing my breasts down
I absolutely LOVE this bra. The fabric is beautiful and comfortable. The construction is high quality. The design is pleasing. While I'm not used to a proper fitting band, it is still comfortable. I'm not used to the sensation of the gore sitting nicely between my breasts, but it is still comfortable!
I get a nice lift from this bra, and a lovely rounded shape. I was worried that I might get a pointier look from larger bras, so I'm quite pleased.
I do have a minuscule amount of wrinkling when I roll my shoulders forward - however, I expect tissue migration, and I still analyze this as a near perfect fit. The wrinkling can be found on the outside edge of the cup's tops, near the straps.
While the band is comfy, it does create a little pudge of skin beneath on the front when it isn't in perfect position. However, I expect the band to stretch.
I am very happy to report that this size in the Fleurty fits - almost perfectly. The cups fit well, but I would say the band is still a bit loose; I am fastening it on the tightest hook. I haven't been able to find a 30F anywhere, which I think might be perfect, but I like this bra so much that I'll be ok with shortening the band. Just like the other ones I'd tried, it has soft material, and feels comfortable when on. The cups come up higher than the Tease Me, so there is less threat of nipples sneaking over the top, but the gore is a bit narrower so I don't find that it digs in.
After trying a 32F, 32E, and now this 30F, I think I have to give up and say this is not the bra for me. The band on the 30 still seems pretty loose - I can do it up on the last hook. The cups have the same problems as the other sizes - they are filled, but the tops are pushed out away from my skin and show as a ridge under shirts. If I pull my elbows back, they start to dig in a bit, so I think that if I went smaller, they would be too small. The gore in the centre is also a bit too wide and too high for me. The wires dig in and don't feel comfortable if I move. Sad, because the bra is so pretty, is in my favourite colour, and feels well made and like it would be comfortable.
This bra runs very shallow in the cup and very loose in the band. This size was two cup sizes smaller than I normally wear anyway, but I would need to go down a band or two and up four cups or more to make this bra work. Unfortunately this is the largest cup volume possible (Curvy Kate staggers the available sizes in this model: 30J, 32HH, 34H, 36GG).
The wire height and width weren't bad and would be even better in the proper size.
This bra is padded and not sheer as it is made to look in the marketing photos. The cup is made of a sturdy ...nude material with two vertical seams. White ribbon details the seams while a white mesh lace covers the rest of the cup and white crochet lace trims the cups at top and bottom.
If you require lower volume in your bras, avoid this one. If you have a shallow breast shape then this is a great one. Even though it didn't fit, the materials were very comfortable to wear and the bra construction is good. Read more 75 more words
This bra runs very shallow in the cups and very loose in the band. It would work best for women who have quite a shallow shape, but failing that you really can't have any lower fullness to your breasts for this bra to work well. I ordered it a couple of cup sizes smaller than my actual size on accident, but it turns out to be the largest cup size available for this particular bra anyway. I would need to size up at least two more sizes on top of my true size to get a wearable fit in this model, and even more cup sizes if I went down the necessary number of bands.
It's quite a pretty bra (though I prefer the white version), and I'm somewhat disappointed it doesn't come in my size. The wire width, despite being too small, wasn't all that bad and the wires didn't come up too high.

It almost acts like a minimizer in that from the side you can see it kind of smashes the breasts down, but it's still sexy. It just doesn't give you that rounded look like a balconnet would. Definitely nothing like a balconnet style, I'm not sure what this style would be called, lol. Since I have the Gulf of Mexico between my breasts, Curvy Kate styles with ...center gores that are wide don't bother me. I could see how if your breasts were too close-set that this style would be a problem. I honestly can only wear this bra with a few of my tops, as with a normal cami it doesn't line up with the spaghetti straps. For those few shirts that I can wear this with it is a God-send as nothing else works, however. The upper half of the cup is super sheer, and the nipples show through, so be careful, lol!! I have the matching briefs, and the little keyhole in the back and the gold rose details are really stunning. Curvy Kate certainly pays attention to detail, and that's why I love their bras.
