The underwires aren't long enough within their casing, which causes the very top of the center gore to push out forward. I'm getting the same wrinkling on the bootom of my right boob as with my black daily boost. For a t-shirt bra, it'll do.
can't quite fill the bottom of these, there's a bit of wrinkling on my right. otherwise, i'm really happy with this bra and am waiting for the nude version of it in the mail. bf calls this the neoprene bra, makes a great everyday t-shirt bra.
the center bow fell off the third day i wore it. haven't bothered to resew it back on.
edit: i bought a second one of these, same color, and the cup is a smidge smaller. i'm getting a quad boob effect that i didn't get with the first one. i don't know if it needs to stretch out, but if it doesn't, it'll go up for sale. same wrinkling effect on right boob.
it is gorgeous! fits well with normal posture, top of cups dig in when i push my shoulders back. the top lace detail is not stretchy. not too fond of the crystal detail because i already feel like i'll lose it, but this is a special occasion bra, so it won't have many chances to drop off. the matching brief also has the same crystal detail.
C-. The band was comfortable, but the cups gapped like crazy, the wire on my smaller boob side dug into my ribs so bad, and the gore was so painful. Not a good fit https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
I really, really, REALLY want the Curvy Kate Princess to work for me. I really do. I am going to keep and wear this bra, but it isn't a perfect bra for my shape. The full review can be found over at my blog!
Very pretty bra. Unfortunately, I ordered this as a sister size to a 34GG, but it did not work for me, I've tried several other Curvy Kates in the interim, and they just don't seem to work for me. Wore it once for a few hours, but it wasn't for me.
As with most CurvyKate bras, I wish the straps were placed ever so slightly closer together, more to avoid chaffing than falling off my shoulders. It's a pretty bra that is light, very breathable, and supportive. The lace along the top is a little unforgiving, creating some minor quad-boob when I reach my arms up over my head. The only real con besides the straps being wide-set is the scalloped lacing along the underwires. In other bras, CurvyKate included, this edging doesn't bother me. In this particular bra, the edging seems to roll inward and rub along my ribs.
It's stiffer than my other, similar balconette CurvyKate bras, but feels like it'll soften up in a few wearings. Pros: It's really pretty! The lace hides nicely under normal t-shirts, and teh fabric, while stiff, is soft to the touch (even the lace). Cons: CurvyKate bras have gores that are too narrow for my wide-set breasts, meaning there's occasional quad-boob on the larger of my two breasts. It's totally wearable, the corset detail on the wings is super cute.
This bra is gorgeous and intricate while still being subtle.. nude isn't always pretty!
The band was a challenge to hook, being a little tighter than my other 32G's, and having 3 to hook. However, once I got it hooked, the band felt great. It felt very supportive and it stretched just-enough when I pulled on it, the band would not be uncomfortable.
That being said, the cups were AT LEAST a size too small. There was definite quad-boob before I even tried to swoop/scoop myself into place.
The gore was another interesting piece. It was lower than others which was Great for my closer-set boobs and it didn't bother me/feel weird, but it seemed to be wider than I'm used to, and held my breasts a little farther apart than I'm used to seeing. This was not necessarily a bad thing, as it as comfortable, I just would have to get used to a slightly different look.
The bra looks absolutely gorgeous on. There's a good length of strap to adjust with, though like a few of the Curvy Kate styles, the straps do seem to have a mind of their own. Straps are too wide-set for me 100% of the time, and this was no exception.
I started the bra on the smallest hook, which I assume is going to limit it's life.
I managed to kill the underwire in this bra after about 8 months use. I only ever hand-wash my bras & hang in the shade- no rough usage, especially not just chucking the bra direct into the washing machine, so I was quite unimpressed to discover that one of the wires was escaping from the centre.
Back to the Princess again. Love the shape, and plus I still have matching panties I haven't killed yet- it's a high-quality set. Straps are still a little slippy for my liking.
Edit: Straps and underwire are both a little wide for my liking, leading to added pressure on my shoulders. The band stretched fairly quickly (I like my bands to be quite firm). Even after several months, the bra provides a nice line under tops/dresses, on the proviso that they're thick enough to cover up the dots.
Description: a black/silver padded balcony bra. Fully adjustable straps, ribbon details on straps and gore, black powermesh band, 3 hook-and-eye closures.
Pros: this bra gives some knockout cleavage (cakes on a plate). The lace detailing at the end of the cup hides nicely under heavier-weight shirts and gives a flattering shape overall. The material on the straps is comfortable, too.
Cons: the mesh on the band can be a little scratchy at first, but it's not insanely bothersome. The straps are set a bit too wide for me, but since they are so stretchy/comfy, it's not a big issue. I think the straps are far apart because this bra was ...constructed to push your boobs up to your chin and the straps, should they have been placed any closer, may have impeded the effect. Gore lies flat, nothing digs, wires encompass all my breast tissue and don't stab under my arms and all that fluff. Design looks smart and sassy https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Unfortunately for yours truly, the cups are just too shallow for my breasts. Again, this is due to the overall aim of the bra--to push your puppies up under your chin. I can't scoop/swoop in this bra or my breasts would not be in the cups. It is cut very low (a sliver above the nipple) to enhance the booby-effects, but due to the shallowness issue, I'm, erm, not contained. I think I would need an H, ideally and HH to contain enough breast for this to work in the desired manner. As it stands now, I'm quadding all over the place. I also have a rather absurd silhouette because of the shallowness of the cups--it looks as if part of my breast has been lopped off in profile. Not a good look for me and largely indicative of a fit issue.
I received this bra as a trade, but I think I'm going to trade it out for the holy grail HH I desire or sell it out right.
I really, *really* wanted this bra to be a perfect fit. Boo https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Read more 244 more words
I usually wear 34FF to 36F, and I'd heard that the sizing on the Tease Me was a bit off. I meant to get a 34FF, since I have a CK Smoothie in that size, but I ended up seeing a Tease Me 36F in black/wine on sale so I snapped it up. Surprisingly, it fits me just about perfectly. If I went for the 34FF I think I'd have a bit more coverage (the cut of the balconette ends up being quite low) and get more wear out of the bra as the band stretches, but other than that this is one of the ...best-fitting bras I've ever owned. I have relatively wide, bottom-heavy breasts, and this bra pushes them up rather spectacularly - I can see how ladies who are heavier on top might find they need to go up a cup or two. It's surprisingly comfortable to wear around all day, too! The only problem is when I bend too far over I get the feeling I might slide out. Also the lace trim at the top of the cup can get a bit itchy, and tends to show through tight clothing. But it's such a pretty bra!
All in all I LOVE this bra and I'm thinking of getting another. Might try the 34FF especially since I've heard the newer colourways run even smaller in the cup. Read more 135 more words
Bought this from another Bratabase user. It has previously been altered down to a ~26 band. I'm bummed, because I REALLY wanted this bra to fit me. Unfortunately it's just too shallow and almost gives me a flattened look with a lot of quadboobing. The wires are definitely too wide, and I think the altered band kind of exacerbates the problem.
**UPDATE: I bought an extender to see if it would help. The wires aren't being distorted towards my back as much anymore and although I still feel I'm getting a slight flattened look, it's much better.
