I bought this bra in 2 colours- black and ivory. I didn't find that there was a fit difference between the colours, both black and ivory fit very much the same. I wrote a longer review for the black one, and I don't know if it would be useful for people to have a second review stating the same things here for the ivory.
Me: Full on bottom, close set in front, splayed with wide root. Soft from breastfeeding two kids. Turns out VERY hard to fit in a bra.
I read this bra runs big and I'm glad I ordered a size up. I tried other Curvy Kates in 34E and the sheer lined ones were clearly too big, so I had hoped a 34E in the elegance was correct.
This bra seems to fit me ok, I might have the slightest bit of quadboob on the right, but my boobs are so uneven I might just have to live with that. It's very comfortable and supportive. It makes my boobs look front and center and awesome!
The only thing I don't care for is all of the heavy lacy overlay, this is really going to show through my shirts.
This is a really pretty bra! Not a perfect fit for me (I'm usually a 32H in Freya/Panache), but I couldn't resist picking this one up in a 30J at a brastop sale, as it was the closest size available.
Pros: - It fits pretty well, the cups are deep enough and the centre gore lies flat - The band is snug and stays in place. - The wires don't dig into my sides
Cons: - It's not a perfectly rounded shape from the side for me, the cups come to a slight point (however, this is not very noticeable) - The biggest problem I have with this bra is that ...the area where the straps meet the top of the cups digs into my arms/armpits. The straps are fairly wide on my shoulders, which could be the problem, but also keeping in mind that this is a 30J and I normally wear a 32H -> the cups might be a size too big, causing the discomfort.
Just a note about the look, this bra has a more relaxed, natural shape. I prefer the "pushed up and in" appearance of moulded bras so this is different but still looks nice - just don't expect the huge, uplifted, va-va-voom look! Read more 99 more words
Wow, the gore sits really high and digs really painfully. It's difficult to find a bra whose center gore does not dig in. Plunges do not work well since my breasts have a broad root and rather shallow, too. Anyway, this bra is really cute and is very open on top. The band is a bit looser than other 30s.
I purchased this bra in the almond and black colourway and it looks lovely. Despite the fitting issues, it is in many ways a comfortable bra. The issues I have with this bra are:
- The straps being too wide for my shoulders and therefore painfully cutting in under my arm. I don't think I have narrow shoulders, however, the straps are too wide for me.
- The cup being too high under my arm and uncomfortably rubbing. I must note that the wire itself does not poke me; it is the fabric between the wire and the strap which bothers me.
- The wires at the centre not laying completely ...flat. The gore itself is flat as is one of the wires but the other wire pokes out because there is not enough space between my breasts. I believe this issue is caused because I am fairly close-set. I think if the centre gore were to be lower, this wouldn't be much of a problem.
- The wires in the centre are a little painful against my sternum (but much more comfortable than some other bras I have tried).
I will be parting with this bra due to the straps and high cups rubbing under my arms. If it were not for this problem I would consider keeping it as I am quite happy with the fit and, of course, the look of the bra. Read more 123 more words
Stunningly beautiful and of excellent construction. Gives me a very rounded albeit a little squished together profile under clothes. Comfortable but requires frequent adjusting. Does not provide as much support from the bottom as I was hoping to get and the thin straps slip occasionally.
This bra is stunning. Much more so than I would have thought from pictures. I have some quadriboob in a 34H and it gives me a very odd, sloping, unattractive shape under clothes. The band fits beautifully and the gore tacks well. The straps are quite wide and slip off my shoulders frequently. I tried to wear it for a day but I did get some back-ache and sore shoulders from the straps. I am not sure if I need a 34HH or J. I do not think I will be trying another Curvy Kate balconette style just because of the odd shape. That said my husband finds it extremely attractive, weird shape and all and likes me to wear it as a bedroom set, which is the only reason I kept it.
Not my favourite bra, mostly because I find the shape a little odd. Because the cup is cut lower in front, I find that it gives me a very flat bottom heavy look and very separated. You can see this effect on the models. The wires are also very wide on this bra. I do remember trying on a smaller cup but it was too small also
This bra runs really small in the cups. I definitely ordered the wrong size as I am a 30HH in most bras. I would need a 30J in this, and even that might be too small. This bra seems more like a 30FF. I would recommend ordering up a cup or two from your usual size.
Lovely bra, and despite the deep cup, did give my very soft, very pendulous boobs a nice, rounded, front-and-center look. Unfortunately, the underwires were waaaay too wide for me (at least an inch), which meant that the wings were shoved way up into my armpits.
Super cute bra, closest I've found to perfect fit so far. Straps could be made out of a smoother material for me but otherwise so happy! It would be better for shallow breasts though.
Fits well, and the wires are really wide (which is good for me). Centre gore touches and is an almost perfect width. The shoulder straps are a bit wider then my Curvy Kate Angel and Tease Me, but they don't irritate
I have this bra in a 28F ( black and gold ) and 28FF( black and blue ), the F is way too small and I get a lot of quadboob (it's very noticeable in a shirt ). The FF is a lot bigger and is too big on me so I am planning on buying some bra inserts to put in it and hope that solves my problem. I also have the wild bra in a 28F and it fits so much better, it is the perfect medium between the tempt me F and FF
Luxurious, striking colorway - but unfortunately the bra does not fit me. It's a bit too large in the cup, and the straps are too separate for my shoulders.
I adore all the little details, but sadly the fit is all wrong on me. I usually wear a 30JJ, and even in a 30K it gives me quadboob. I'm fairly middle-of-the-road in terms of wide/narrow boobs, and the wires are quite wide on me. It's quite east/west, though the profile is better than the other unpadded CKs I've tried - it's a fair bit rounder, though there's still a hint of "upside-down 7". Good bra if you're bottom heavy with a wide root, I think.
My boobs are close in the center, wide and shallow at the root, full on bottom.
I can sometimes wear 34E but the cups in this bra are way too large for me. I would need to try a 34DD. Howver, I've also been advised this is not the best style for my breastshape so I will probably not try a smaller size.
I do like how wide the wires are, minimizing chub escaping at the underarms.
The center gore is too tall and cuts into my close breasts.
