I got these two bras second hand, it was an excellent deal so I figured why not. As I was afraid they are too small, I think that in these I could use a 28/H that would fit me in the cup however the band is really loose. They do give my breasts a nice in your face look which may be good under a top but not for around the house. The cups are lightly padded and it's definitely a pretty bra, though I doubt I will order it in the proper size as it mostly reminds me of a bedroom bra.
Low underwires that don't poke at center or under arm, but the material comes up so high on my chest that there's quadraboob, but not because of cup size, but because I'm full on top, so I think that this is a shape incompatibility for me, instead of a size issue.
This bra does the Marie Antoinette cleavage like the others in the Showgirl collection, and is very pretty in the black/pink combination. The black lace along the bottom edge never softened up for me, so I eventually had to put a few stitches to keep the band from curling under at the front bottom-most curve of the cup, and comfort has improved dramatically since. The straps are very stretchy, so overall a bit bouncy when you move. It doesn't bother me, but not the best if you want the other end of the spectrum where you're more secure and not-moving.
Really pretty bra in the Jade/Grape combination. Pushes everything way up in a Marie Antoinette cleavage sort of way, but also has very shallow cups to go with it, leading to a slight quadraboob along the edge for me. Stretchy band, so I went down a band size and up yet another cup size, and still a bit small in the cup at this point. I like the details, and under most shirts, they are not noticeable so I an wear it more often then just a special occasion.
I've been drooling over the Tease Me bras and I'm slightly disappointed. While it's pretty it's not quite as great looking in person as I thought. The details are pretty but with all the "fluff: it's not suited to be worn under tighter shirts. The cups are lightly padded which is nice and it's not an uncomfortable bra it's not something I would wear every day though. The band is really loose though for my 25" rib cage and this one is about a cup too small for me, I really wish that CK had better consistency across their line, I need an H in one a GG in another, etc...
Nice soft colour. Band width is perfect, underwires are ok. Center gore pokes a tinylittle bit, but not too much. Cups are filled nicely at the bottom and sides. The satin ribbon on the top of the cup is better in this size than in the 60GG (no flattening/weird cut-in shape). The lace on the top of the cup could lie smoother on the skin; cannot fill it completely (just the lace, the cup is fine otherwise). But is still ok and not visible unter a t-shirt. The overall quality is ok, but the farbics/seams are a bit scratchy if you're sensitive to that.
Nice soft colour. Band width is perfect, underwires are ok. Center gore pokes a little bit, but not too much. Cups are filled nicely at the bottom and sides. Problem: The satin ribbon on the top of the cup is too short; flattens the breast and creates a weird shape (especially when viewed from the side) which can be seen even under a t-shirt. The overall quality is ok, but the farbics/seams are a bit scratchy if you're sensitive to that.
Gorgeous bra, not so gorgeous fit. This bra gives me the weirdest shape. It pushes by boobs to my chest and to the sides. My cleavage is non-existent in this bra, acting almost like minimizer. The center gore does not lay flat. The construction and detailing on this bra are really top notch. Just a beautiful bra! I wanted it to fit so badly but I think Curvy Kate bras just run too wide and shallow for me.
Band could be tighter, although better than the 30FF Tease Me. Terrible quadroboob. Cups too small, wires a bit to small. Quadroboob effect gets better when tearing the straps closer together in the back (halterneck- or racerback-like) -> quadroboob not only a size problem, but also a strap/construction problem (straps too far out ont the sides). Color is very cold and pale, rather nude than "gold". Doesn't suit me/my skin tone. Sent it back.
Hi, I noticed that you've tried both the Wild and the Tempt Me. Are they basically the same shape? I want to get the Wild because it's gorgeous but the Tempt Me is too wide-set for me so I fall out the middle. Does the wild have more coverage in the center? Thanks!
I would say they are pretty much the same shape. Quite wide-set and with very little coverage in the center. It fitted me better than the Tempt Me, but only because this time I tried the appropriate size. So I'm sorry, but I think that it won't work for you...
Thanks :) I didn't think it would so it's better I find out before I spend money on it.
The 30 band is definitely too long for me. Very stretchy. Underwires poke a bit into the sternum. Satin ribbon along the cup is too short! Creates a weird, flattened shape along the center of the boob. Great cleavage, but the lace on the top of the cup does stand away a bit (cannot fill it; but probably more a shape than a size issue as the cups are fine otherwise and rather on the small side). The straps are a bit too far out. Also the point on the cup where they are sewn to is very far out, so the decorative bows there are nearly under my armpits. Also don't like the color - rather pink than the "wine" color I expected. Color doesn't suit me at all (it's always a bit difficult with dark/black colors for me, but this one with the additional pink is especially terrible). Overall (apart from the color) not really bad, but also not great. Sent it back.
This colorway runs about on cup size bigger than other colors. So I do get a small amount of gaping on the top of the cups, but I fixed it by just tightening the straps more. As, I said in my other review, I own three of these bras and use them as t-shirt bras for everyday wear. The band is firm and comfortable and the straps are fully adjustable.
I can't decide what's wrong with this bra. It should be the right size, but it doesn't look good. In profile my boobs look a tiny bit droopy - and I HATE THAT. There's a bit of quadraboob effect as well with my bigger boob, but not noticiably unless I draw my shoulders back. The bra feels comfortable and supportive on, no chafing or anything. A great bra, then. It even looks very pretty. But the profile... I keep finding myself peering into every reflective surface I pass, wondering if my boobs look sad.
This is a lovely bra but not the right shape for me, back is reasonably firm but cups are slightly small, this was too small for me and I am usually a 32HH/J
I'm so torn. It fits well, and looks good on it's own, but due to the cups being rather tall, wide, and narrow, under tops it makes me look a bit flat and square... not a good look. Also, the center gore is at an angle, which causes the top of the gore to dig in to my sternum, while the bottom of the gore pulls away slightly (it looks flat, but I can easily fit a finger under it). Is there a way to bend it so that it doesn't do that? I haven't decided yet if I'm going to keep it as a bedroom bra or just send it back, but I'm leaning towards sending it back, sadly, mostly because of the center gore issue.
Have you tried a larger cup? Some women find that Curvy Kate bras can give a square-ish shape if they are too small.
I haven't, but that's good to know. I think I will try a larger size. Thank you!
I bended the wires and it helped. I had exactly the same problem than you, wires digging in in the sternum. When I increased cup size and tried 30E instead of 30EE, the pain from the wires was not so bad, but it still was there. CK wires are odd!! Never had that problem in any other bra.
Oops, I meant 30DD in the previous post, not 30EE!!
This is my first ever padded bra, I've always felt that a girl my size doesn't need a padded bra, however I've long felt that friends with smaller boobs than me have been able to make themselves look bigger than me, so I decided to try a padded bra.
Unfortunately the cup is just not wide or deep enough for me, gives me a serious case of quad boob, such a pity as it does give a good cleavage and makes my boobs look really big and upfront. Unfortunately I would probably need to go up 2 sizes to 38H, such a pity as 38G is the both largest band and the largest cup available in this band. However very pretty.....
