I'm pleasantly surprised with this bra. It's very pretty, to begin with. Allows for projection, the wires were actually the narrowest I've seen with CK so far! Wires are fairly short though. I love the thicker, sturdy straps. I would recommend sizing down, this feels more like a 28DD. Doesn't feel flimsy, nothing itchy so far. Almost works for my conical breasts, there's the tiniest gap below the border so, it's still suited for full on top or taller roots like all the CK bras I've tried. I'm a 26E/F and the band wasn't too loose on me. All in all, I quite like it.
This one was a huge disappointment. I love the look of it, and when I saw reviews saying it ran small, I hoped it would work for me, but no luck. I'm pretty sure it's a shape mismatch. The cups cut into the tops of my breasts, but at the same time, my breasts easily slide out of the cups toward the middle. The whole thing feels loose and unsupportive. The band does run a bit small, but not by a full band size. Maybe half. I usually wear a 28, and the 30 felt most comfortable to me on the tightest hook. Speaking of the band, it ...rolls up the instant I put it on. Usually that doesn't bother me, but on this bra, the band is so thin when it's rolled that it's actually uncomfortable. It would have been a lot better if they'd used a thicker elastic here. The cups are shallow, I think. My projected breasts don't fit well in them. I'm not sure whether the problem is just depth or whether the cups are small as well. I usually fit into a 28HH or 28J, so these cups should have been much too big on me, not cutting in.
While it didn't work for me, I will say that aside from the horrid band, the materials are very soft, and the bra looks great. If you're shallow, it's probably worth a try. Just be prepared to try a couple sizes. Read more 136 more words
I really like this bra. I had it in crimson when I was a 28G and it was one of my favorites. The beige is not my favorite color but its a good match for my skin and it has nice pink tones that save it from being too boring. Comfort-wise, I find it very soft, and lightweight in the cup, but the three hooks and the wide elastic under the cup make it feel very sturdy. Gives a good shape. I'm quite projected and although I know Curvy Kate generally runs shallow, I don't get any wrinkling in the bottom of the cup and the underwire stays ...put.
There is a small amount of in-cup quadding as I have very soft tissue and the stretch lace at the top is less firm than the mesh fabric of the cup. Overall that's a pretty minor issue for me, though! A bigger issue is that the straps are pretty wide for my frame and the top side of the cup cuts into my tail of spence a little and might be uncomfortable after several hours.
Overall, while its not perfect for my shape, I will be keeping it, though I may not wear it for any especially long days. Read more 100 more words
I would say this bra really gives that cakes on a platter look but it noticeably to small on me. when i swoop and scoop my nipple is basically coming above the cup so i definitely would need something taller. The colors are very pretty and vibrant, i don’t really like bright colors bras so the bra accents and over mesh overlay really help tone it down and the ribbon is a very cute pop of color. For 30 bands this one seems firmer to me but I actually prefer it that way since my rib cage measures around 26”. I think if i’d ordered the 30E the fit would be much better and the cleavage with square neck tops would be a bit more appropriate.
This bra is pathetic. There is virtually no support given by the cups. It is just stretched out and floppy. The straps are way too wide and poorly stitched. The cups are too far apart and the wire rests on my breast tissue.
The only nice thing I can say about this bra is that it could be sexy if you like the shape of your boobs. Think if it as kinda an underbust corset (that’s very short) or a shelf for your boobs. And then you have a pretty, sheer cup to be enticing. Idk. That’s the best I’ve got
First time trying Curvy Kate bras. Ellace was recommended to me to help figure out exactly what I need in regards to shape and size. 34FF in the black doorway is what I have.
The band is comfortable, soft and snug without being strangling tight. There are 3 hooks on this size which I like.
The fabric is soft and also lightweight. The top lace isn't scratchy either and is very thin. There is an elastic strip along the top of the lace top. Here is where this bra is good and bad for me. The bottom of the cups fit nicely and the wires are perfect. The ...straps are a little wide but do not slip or bother me in the tail of Spence...at least not up to this point. The problem...the top lace on the left larger side where the cup, strap and lace panel meet had about a 1/4 inch gap but fits well elsewhere. The smaller side is more obvious but nothing seems to show with a shirt on.
This is by far the best and closest bra for me in the ABTF journey. I just found it on sale for a third of what this one cost me so I am ordering it in a 34F to see how that feels and fits. I will also tack this lace (since its so little less than half inch total) the gore to make a more snug fit in the 34FF. Read more 137 more words
I bought this as a gift for someone else, who isn't a bra enthusiast but just wanted something practical and versatile. This ticks the boxes for them, and feels super well made. The outer fabric is beyond smooth, with an inner sling in the cup to aid shaping and support. There's a silicone grip along the top and bottom of the underhand, along with fully adjustable, detachable shoulder straps (using swan hooks) so it can be work strapless, traditional over-the-shoulder, cross-back, halter, or even one-shoulder. The wings are bagged out with the same silky, smooth microfibre over a firm powermesh.
I initially had this bra in Navy in 30FF and it fit like a dream. I ordered the Lilac in 30FF based on that, but the neckline was too tight so I swapped for a 30G which fit great until a recent change in breast shape from weight gain. I tried the 30GG in the hopes this would help, but I think sadly it just makes the cups too wide for me. I get an awkward flattening effect and the cradle just feels too wide in this bigger size. It's almost like if I shorten the width of the cradle by a little, the cup shape changes and fits me much better. Sad, as I really hoped I could find a new size that worked in this for me as it's a lovely summer bra. So lightweight and the band runs quite firm (which, as a true 28 band, is great for me - but of course something to bear in mind).
My review starts with the caveat that I bought Curvy Kate Superplunge Multiway Padded Plunge Bra two band sizes up and one cup size down because that was the closest Figleaves had to 30F during their closeout sale. I would've sized up in the band at least to a 32, because of reviews saying it runs tight, but I would've gotten the 32DD.or 34DD.
Curvy Kate Superplunge has a super low gore, as low as that of my Holy Grail Bra, the Simone Perele Muse Triangle Push-up Bra. The latter has normal height wings. The Curvy Kate Superplunge's wings are a lousy 2.5" in height. Talk about unattractive underarm ...bulge! The seams are functional, which is great for shaping. I'm lucky that Simone Perele Muse's molded, seamless cups suit me. I know some people prefer seamed cups because they aren't so lucky in that way. Curvy Kate's Latte color is great for disappearing under clothes. It's darker than my skin tone, but not so much it would cause an issue. Simone Perele's Peau Rose color, on the other hand, is just a bit too light pink for me. It's usually not a problem.
Superplunge's finish quality is mediocre, on a par with Ewa Michalak. The piece holding the hooks has sharp edges. There's nearly an inch of unfilled wire channel in each cup.
I would try a 34DD Superplunge from Belle Lingerie, but I'm pretty sure the wings will still be at least an inch too short. I like the multifunctional straps and extra pieces so much, I would probably keep trying until I found the right cup size, if the wings worked for me. The gore is super, super low, which is my unusual fit issue. It's extremely hard to find a gore low enough for me, especially in a full band bra. Read more 193 more words
I adored these bras, and until I lost some weight, they were 100% of the time my go-tos.
They are great for close-set breasts, and though they are a bit shallow and wide in the cup, it was worth it for that "cakes on a plate" look. If I hadn't switched over to non-padded Polish bras in an attempt to minimize the girls for work, I would have repurchased these in a heartbeat in a smaller size.
The bra fits in that the cups contain my boobs quite well, and they don't cut into breast tissue. It looks really good from the front, but when you look from the side, it makes my boobs look weirdly pointy. Adjusting the straps squish the breasts and worsens the shape. Unfortunately, the bra makes my boobs look incredibly small. The band size is nice and snug and the underwires don't dig into the ribcage.
The spot pattern and mesh look very pretty and sexy, so I'm going to keep the bra and see how I can work with the shape it gives me.
Edit: Trying this bra one more time and I figured out why it makes my boobs look weird. Adjusting the straps short enough so they don't fall of my shoulders pushes the tissue so much into the center of my frame that it looks off. I have very wide-set boobs, which is a shape I am used to. Seeing my girls in the middle of my chest just looks unusual.
First, I want to start off by saying that photos do not do this bra justice as to how pretty it is in person. I thought it was black and this boring beige color but it's actually this really adorable champagne. Unfortunately this bra didn't fit but it worked as a diagnostic bra. The sides could've been lower and the tops of the cups are still a bit high on me, the wire length could've been wider but this may also be because the cups are too small, the cups on this also roughly 1in higher than my CK Romance which would fit perfectly except it's also too ...small lol. I noticed my breast tissue seems to be folding inside of the cups, Im getting what Im guessing is strap gap, it does get less intense if I pinch the fabric of the top cup in. Other than that the wires are actually in my IMF and I'm not getting wrinkling on the sides/by the wires. The gore isnt tacking and is actually twisting more towards my larger side.
A common complaint I saw was that the band elastic was irritating. Imo it reminds me of how the decadence is constructed and I honestly liked it because for me, it makes the band feel sturdier. Over time though I did find that the elastic straps were not strong enough and had a little too much stretch, which led to them becoming painful. As much as I love the way this bra looks, and how it shapes me, I dont want to perform any alterations on it when I can probably get something that fits better by relisting it.
Im taking this as a definite sign that I'm FOB with a short root height, lots of immediate projection, and I need something that is closed and firm in the upper sections. I am planning on trying the CK Victory next in 30JJ as long as the upper section is closed. Read more 219 more words
The bra is good for people with full on bottom shapes with projection and immediate projection at the wire. The only downside is that this bra won't fit comfortably if you have narrow shoulders.
Same here! Had this one in 32F, but it was soooo small in cup... I'm usually 30FF (don't know why btb put my ref size as 32:9 lol, this runs huge on me)
Wish this fit! Like the Superplunge multiway, there is too much space in the upper part of the cup for my FOB breasts. This would probably work better for someone FOT or even. It is good for center full breasts, as I didn't have a problem in that direction! It's also a very pretty bra.
The shape of this bra seems to hold more of my breast in place than other bras (I am center-full). The band is extremely small! I went with my larger size (30), and it was way too small. This bra is very lightweight...it doesn't seem as substantially made as other CKs I own or have tried. But I like the idea. I ordered a larger band/smaller cup, so we'll see if it will fit...and if I can figure out the strap variations!
This bra doesn’t give me the shape I have come to love from panache or more recently Nessa. It also feels a bit flimsier. I need a bit more immediate projection which is a consistent trans across most brands I have tried LOL.... after wearing it a bit more, I think I would have been better off sister sizing down in the band due to the stretchiness. It’s stills good fit, very comfortable and is worth keeping As far as I’m concerned, I just won’t be buying the same size in multiple colors.
