What can I say about this bra... it feels very lightweight. The fabric is super thin, the cups have barely any structure. The cups are very low cut on the front and on the sides. I would only recommend this for someone who has very short roots. I have tall roots so I need higher coverage. I also would need a better structured cup. This felt super flimsy and weak. I can't say that the cups cut into my breast tissue because that fabric is so flimsy it can't do that. But my top tissue was not covered and it was almost indecent looking. With wear the cups would slide down. I never had this with a bra before. It did barely anything just fabric coverage for my bottom half of my boobs. It was a shape-mistmatch and slightly too small. I have other bras from CK in 34G that fit, so I'd say this runs small.
I've read the sizing is inconsistent with Curvy Kate; also the side boning is not parallel to the ground, which affects fit as well.
I've tried tried two bras recently and when the side boning was not parallel to the ground, it made the band feel unsupportive.
BraOdyssey Yes I think they are kinda inconsistent. It was even recommended to size up in this bra but I was not sure what my size was at this point so I went with my abtf size 34G. Oh thanks for pointing it out, I wonder if that means the band is also too tight? or just wrong tension? I did not find it too tight when I wore it.
This bra feels really nice to wear, but the cup shape is wrong for me. I'm center full, and the side support styles are seeming to be a terrible matchup for me. The side support band squishes my sides flat and gives me a more pointy shape than I prefer. It would probably be a great fit for even fullness, but I think the volume at the center would be too much for outer fullness.
I'm looking at buying one of these for a lounge or sleep bra - have you continued wearing it/any further thoughts??
I've since tried it with an extender and it was much more comfortable
I haven't tried all day wear or lying down in it yet, I suspect I might leak into the middle

I haven't tried all day wear or lying down in it yet, I suspect I might leak into the middle
I've tried wearing it for all day wear now, it has these peculiar straps that end up riding up my boobs, I can't find a place where it seems they're meant to stay
I normally wear a mix of 34H's and 34HH's in this brand, but some have been fitting a touch small so I went up a 34J. I tried on loosest hooks, band is TIGHT, which I know is somewhat a thing in strapless bras but it hurt putting it on. Feels tight enough that Im thinking of my breathing extra- like forcefully breathing instead of natural, and Im not sure this would be healthy for a long time or for any activity like dancing or walking a lot. Merely standing and sitting made me warm and I only had it on for a few minutess. The cups cut ...into center tissue quadboobing quite a bit- too much for anything formal. The gore is too wide for how center set I am, pushing out the top and pushing in the bottom painfully. The whole underside in front is like muffining out from under the band which isnt normal for me. Painful enough iwith the whole front band cutting into me to not wear. There's also not enough immediate projection or room in cups- Cups may run small, wires are on my sides and into tail of spence/armpit, the wire did annoy me with it's height (cups set too east/west for me). A larger band would not fix my tightness issue as the cups are also too far apart and a larger band would only exacerbate this.
Cups seemed to stay up fine without strap help, however I wasn't going to try jumping around to test further with the difficulty I felt breathing. This has a grippy plastic strip around the bottom and the top of the wings. Nicely, there are no bows or anything to make weird bumps. Read more 177 more words
Of course, once I acquired a critical mass of beautiful, comfortable Ewa Michalak bras, I gained weight (and cup sizes). In desperation, I turned to Brastop for a couple of heavily discounted bras to tide me over until I lose my newly acquired poundage and boobage. I initially ordered a 32JJ - Curvy Kate » Wonderfull Full Coverage Bra (CK018102), as the price was right and the Auburn color looked like it would be a nice "nude" for me. I eagerly tried it on, but while the color lived up to its promise, I found that I had significant quadding. ... I reluctantly reordered this bra in a 32K, which contained me much better. The cups on this bra are very wide on me in a 32K, as they nearly wrap around to my back. There is a little pad at the outer end of the wire on each cup to prevent it from poking into the ribs, which is a feature I wish more of my bras had. This is a full coverage bra, and the tops of the cups are very closed. I'm wearing this bra fairly frequently now, in spite of the fit issues, and I'm hanging on to the 32JJ for when my breasts eventually shrink back down. Read more 116 more words
Aww, I'm sorry about your bra troubles 😭. This does look really nice on you, though!
Thanks for the review!
Have you tried Bravisssimo yet? The one thing I consistently like about this brand is how their wires end about an inch short of the ends of the wire channels so I never have the significant poking that Curvy Kate or Panache give me. I especially appreciate their new narrow wired bras although not all of them work well for me. Their semi annual sale has just started and they have included a few of their narrow wired bras and I see one that is close to 20% off.
I haven't tried Bravissimo's own bras yet except for their Nova Lounge bra. I've found Bravissimo orders to take up to a month to get to me, and international shipping has been taking even longer since the pandemic started.

WHY IS THE GORE NEARLY AN INCH TALLER THAN THE WING???
in the most specific measurements at seam it's a bit over half inch but realistically, this thing is sooo effed.
Despite band being about 6" loose on me, cups tilt cattywompus sideways from tall gore to insanely short wing. the ultra round center of cup fits like a dream and everything else binds in around this crazy ball pocket like it's clowntown.
itchy rough mesh. top ...band/s bind in on even upper root. sort of a dusty salmon beige mesh under deep grey pinstripes says I'ma make it work, somehow.
have you heard though? amazingly round lower cup shape.
the actual roundest thing I've ever seen for boob holsters.
yet, entire bottom cup collapses and caves terribly on the sides.
cups super Super SUPER duper close together. to an obscene degree. to no fault of the gore which is moderately narrow but not so much as one might need for it's height.
victory is also weirdly closed off on top. so for short breasts except in larger sizes in which case, victory is for super huge tall roots the bigger the cup gets.
a pattern that only a freshman design student could love.
the rest of us sitting here with pitchforks and torches, because the inconsistency in shape this scaling creates is idiotic.
For something that was touted as being the most weirdly immediate projection/round/shallow bra, my very tall-wide-Round and FOB/even breasts are so lost how we got here. Read more 184 more words
Oh that looks like a fantastic basic! This is giving me hope for plunges not cutting in/quadding on top. Is the cup actual a 3 piece sewn or a molded with 3 pc decor on the outside?

Not sure that I agree with you that this bra is a good fit. I think you can do better for the girls. Spend some time on the site, measure yourself, your bras, look at people in bras that are the same size as you. Good luck with your bra journey, it can be an eye opening trip!
Hi what makes you say that?
I would suggest that you submit a "fitting help" request with all the measurements of the bra and yourself with better pictures if you are interested in finding a better fit. Amazing what data you can collect with numbers and people's insight. Good luck!
This site does have a lot of information when you explore around a but, but nobody owes anyone perfection in presentation. Your review gave me hope for a fitting plunge which I am finally on the right track with as of yesterday; and hope that the lack of quadding, and good projection you found in the superplunge lasts a long time! It's turned me on to rethinking this brands' ability to provide the depth I need and am trying out some in current size as the opportunity comes along.

Be aware that the wires on this model are massive. In every photo I have seen, they tend to end far under the model's armpit, and I experienced the same.
Purchased in 2014 along with another color and some Flirtelles from Brastop. Way too much bounce with these Ck's and to a lesser extent with the Flirtelles and were subsequently dispatched before measurements could be taken.
Here's yet another bra from CK that is supposed to be 40 inches band but only is 34.5 inches long or stretched 36 inches. The cup is also not wide enough for me. I don't fill the cups at the top either. I wanted to like it but it's not comfortable even with an extender.
Dug this one out of the moving box finally, but now I remember why I put it there to never see the light of day again in the first place. When I first got this bra, it was definitely too big in the cups, now it's..small? I'm getting in cup quadding while also getting cup gape on the right side, the wire cuts my boobs in half and I can get neither of them completely into the cups. There just isn't enough space. I'll try it again in 32J because so far all signs seem to point to the cup size being off.
The Animal print version fits a lot better than the solid colours. I’ve found the solid colours recently are cutting into my breast tissue slightly along the neckline and by the end of the day I’m really spilling out, despite the cup capacity being correct, and a cup size up being far too wide. Not sure if this new print version has been made with a different mesh or in a different factory, but the fit is much better on me. Minus some marks on this colourway though for the black and brown finishings - they’re inside the bra so not a huge issue aesthetically but it is something that bugs me ever so slightly 😅
Loved this bra when it fit as a 28G/30FF - nice low cut balcony with a scooped out underarm, especially great as I'm quite petite. Unfortunately since going up a cup size I can't quite find the right fit in this. The 30G seems to be made wider rather than deeper, so it cuts in just as much across the neckline and sits too wide without adding any extra depth. I may put the 30FF wires into the 30G and see if this helps.
I purchased this bra a few months ago after first trying out the ABTF calculator and randomly buying some bras in my size range. It came in the first crop of NWT/new to me bras in that size range. had begun activly losing weight so I realized this cup size may have been a little big, especially with my smaller breast on one side. The bra isn't an ideal fit but it gave me a starting point to figure out where to go next.
The Princess Balconys bras appearance was pretty and especially girly in pink lace. Most Curvy Kate bras are visually appealing to me and I ...wish this one fit better. The construction looked impressive when compared with my older cheap molded cup and push up bras, with horizontal seams sewn together. but I was happy to try more lightweight and better fitting bras.
The straps were too far apart for my narrow shoulders on my petite body sadly, but that may often be the case with balconette/balcony bras. I wish they were in a little more. The center gore is a little too high up and kind of pushed into my sternum a little. I have a lot of center fullness to compete with but this may be the style on my body. I was quite happy to try a 28 band, that fit so much better than my prior 34-38 bands. The cups would have fit my prior breast measurments a little better, that had fullnes distributed differently. The lace on the top would have been good for the upper fullness I once had as well. The cups may have been too shallow, as I have heard Curvy Kate bras are but the fit was off enough that I really am unsure. The wide wires felt odd, and when combigned with the gore it pushed my breasts down outward running towards my armpits somewhat east west looking. That is not the lifted look that I want to achieve. I think I am even fullness top and bottom when i first try to lean over to gauge it, but I think my narrow roots and projection cause me to be functionally FOB, with a lot of prominent center fullness. Certain times of the month I gain a bit more fullness on top, but not excessive. Plunge styles tend to work out better for me. Right now I fit about a size UK 30FF 28G in non padded bras, and this bra is probably one I should find a new home for.
This bra is pretty! Unfortunately its both a size and style mismatch but helped me gauge what to avoid and look for in some future bra attempts. Read more 343 more words
Pink Bardot Princess Balcony or Ellace Or maybe Portia? colorway
I love the way the Curvy Kate Princess Balcony Bra used to fit before I gained weight. Any weight gain goes to my boobs and I end up with some mild quad-boob effect on my larger breast. I HATE that the little polka dots on this bra are thick/textured and visible through practically any material that isn't super thick or double layered. The dots are not only visible as dots but also raised, so they make a textured appearance that is really visible, even from far away. I basically only wear this bra when I'm going to work in scrubs with a thick cotton shirt under my scrub top or in the winter when I have 2 layers of long sleeved shirts/sweaters on to hide the polka dots.
So I love the Curvy Kate Florence balcony Bra. It is wide enough to hold all of my breast tissue and I love that the gore is relatively short, so it doesn't jab into my sternum. the soft lace is surprisingly not as obvious through thin shirts as I was expecting, which is a good thing. It looks good with thin shirts, thicker material, and the blush color is close enough to skin tone without being blah that it doesn't show through on light or white colored shirts. It's pretty much my go to bra; I have it in blush and black. Sadly, any additional weight I gain goes to my breast tissue first, so now I'm getting a quad-boob effect on my bigger breast.
This is a very delicate bra. I enjoy the designs of the Curvy Kate line, but I feel some of the designs are not suited to larger heavier breasts. The gore on this bra is far too short for my breasts and the wings are also too short. Strangely enough the straps are too far apart for my shoulders. I would have loved this bra because the color is adorable, but unfortunately it just doesn’t work.
I normally wear closer to a 28DD but have trouble finding bras that have enough projection at the wire. Curvy Kate's selection in 28 bands is limited. Since their 30 bands allegedly are quite firm, I decided to give 30D a shot. About the bra itself: The bra is an unpadded plunge style with one vertical and one horizontal seam per cup. The wings are made out of the same mesh. Along the cup edge is a an elastic picot trim. It is barely visible but a nice touch in my opinion. The bra closes with three rows of two hooks each. I really like the aesthetics of this bra, ...but unfortunately it does not quite fit me. The main problem are the cups. My breasts are FOB and quite projected but only at the bottom which makes it challenging to find bras. In this particular one, I do not fill out the tops of the cups completely and the fabric moves over my skin when I walk. Because the fabric is mesh, this leads to nipple chafing. The bottom of the cup seems also a little bit too shallow as witnessed by some cup wrinkling. The band is definitely firm in itself but also a bit loose on me. This would not be an issue if the cups fit better. In combination though the bra has a tendency to move down my chest in the front. The straps are also on the short side for my low boobs and almost too wide set for me. Read more 147 more words
Tried a bunch of C'Kates when I was a bit smaller / a couple years ago - but despite their cute designs, fit-wise I've somehow never found them to work too well for me in general.
(mostly I'd struggle with inadequate projection, too wide-set straps and / or cups that cut into my upper fullness)
Ellace, however, is a different story. I reach for this bra quite often and it's held up so well over time! I've had it for about 2+ years (somehow forgot to review it) and after each handwash it feels almost good as new.
I like the added elastic on the ...underband, I like the stretchy lace, and I'm a big fan of this teal colorway!
I'm bordering on 32GG but this 32G contains me pretty well. It seems true that Curvy Kate has started to make firmer bands (read: more true to size) as they used to be quite stretchy and I'd lean towards 30, but this 32 band feels great.
The underband elastic does seem to help in that regard! Read more 70 more words
I've read the sizing is inconsistent with Curvy Kate; also the side boning is not parallel to the ground, which affects fit as well.
I've tried tried two bras recently and when the side boning was not parallel to the ground, it made the band feel unsupportive.
