My second HG bra! If only the nude color was cheaper... Like the Portia, it has elastic sewn into the top of the cups to keep it from overflowing and gaping. The embroidery seems cheap and shiny and is already starting to fuzz up. But it fits! Close set and full on top with projection. Gives a natural rounded shape.

Short, projected, center full, even, slightly narrow, close set breasts....
Narrow and projected breasts: this 30FF has a 5.5" cup width and 11" of projection. This is one projected cup! And, the immediate projection is second only to Gorsenia and Comexim (unlined only). Obtaining this amount of projection in every other brand I've tried resulted in a "too tall" cup height. There are wrinkles in my narrower breast's cup, because the gore is not flat. The gore is too wide.
The 30F Dreamcatcher fit better in the top of the cup, but my slightly narrow breasts required more cup width. And, the yellow fizz colorway is softer, but that is ... due to several months of frequent handwashing by its previous owner. The black colorway is stiff. However, a soak in vinegar/water may remedy this issue. The fit is so good, I will tolerate the stiff fabric. How I would love Curvy Kate to improve the texture of this fabric. Ellace and Florence are soft, but Dreamcatcher is stiff.
Whereas Portia holds the breasts closer to the body, Dreamcatcher allows significantly more center and immediate projection. These are the characteristics that endear me to Dreamcatcher. My breasts are happy in this bra...until I sit. The cup painfully collapses. My breasts become torpedoes when I drive/sit, and I need the immediate and center projection only Gorsenia provides.
Dimensionally, Dreamcatcher is remarkably similar to Madagascar. However, Madagascar is...uncomfortable for me. I attribute this to Madagascar having less center projection and slightly less immediate projection. However, both bras receive strong recommendations from me. If you need more center projection, choose Dreamcatcher. More center projection is available in these CK bras: http://www.bratabase.com/list/glk/ And, if these are not center projected enough, Gorsenia unlined balconettes are the most center projected bras I've encountered.
With one reservation (the fabric), I recommend this bra for narrow, projected breasts. The fabric may be lamentable, but you, like me, may find the fit overcomes all fabric concerns. I'm armed with Eucalan and vinegar... https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

Looks great! So glad!!!
Very beautiful also clothed.
Bratabase recommended Dreamcatcher to me after feeding the system with my measurements.
This is so much prettier in hand than Curvy Kate's web photos show. I was dreading this colorway, and found myself pleased with its appearance.
Pros:
1. Good immediate projection
2. Excellent apex projection
2. Low gore
3. Very consistent Curvy Kate band length
4. Supportive band (3x3 fasteners) and straps (.75" wide)
5. Deep cups
Cons:
1. Gore too tall/wide for center-full, close-set breasts (CFCS)
2. Lower gore is 2.5" wide; too wide for my CFCS
The cup edge is more closed than CK Atomic plunge: Atomic plunge fits me better than Cabaret along the top of the cup.
Although it was a few months ago, Atomic did not cause quadding near the center. Cabaret causes quadding near ... the gore on both breasts. This surprised me. However, Cabaret is a 30FF and the Atomic was a 32F. When my breasts are properly supported, they sit very close together. The longer Atomic band may explain why I didn't quad near the gore. The longer band did not provide the support I prefer, unfortunately.
The mesh is fine and relatively soft. I loathed Freya Ooh La La mesh as well as Ewa Michalak's Wanilla's mesh. Curvy Kate uses a finer softer mesh that the aforementioned brands. However, the mesh is not as fine as Lejaby's mesh. Those of us with sensitive skin will appreciate this information https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />
Curvy Kate's band and straps are similar to Comexim and have earned my deep appreciation. They are remarkably supportive. Unlike Comexim and Ewa Michalak, Curvy Kate's bands are remarkably consistent. Generally, a 30" band fits me well in every style.
Comexim, Curvy Kate, Panache, Cleo, Ewa Michalak, all have lower gore widths too wide for my CFCS breasts; 2.5" is the typical lower gore width. This causes a wire to sit on one breast along 50% of the breast's circumference. Painful. Gorsenia half cups and unlined models have more narrow lower gores; excepting their deep plunge.
I noticed the wire width was too wide. Whoa. The 11" of depth allowed my girls to sit fully on the front of my chest....until they collided with the gore. So, either the band was too short and caused the wires to distort or I may be able to wear a more narrow wire. 11' inches of depth in a 30FF is unusual! To indulge my curiosity, I'm ordering a 32E to see if the wrinkles in the top of the cup as well as the quadding at the gore will disappear. Experimentation.
Beautiful, supportive bra for less CFCS breasts.

Very short, projected, slightly narrow, close set, even breasts....
This was an Amazon purchase to help determine my exchange bra for an existing Brastop order. Waiting about a month to return a shipment and the resulting exchange, encouraged me to research the exchange size better than I had the initial order. Thank you, Amazon for your amazing two-day shipment. Wow.
This was the least expensive CK plunge on Amazon. I found the pattern garish and had no desire to own it. Well....I've changed my mind. This pattern is adorable and the colors harmonious in addition to intense. It causes me to smile. Curvy Kate descibes this pattern using ... my favorite color "fuchsia." There is NO fuchsia in this print. However, you will find deep coral, white, and crimson flowers with plum leaves on a minty green background. It is definitely fun and energetic. The shirring along the bottom of the cup is gorgeous and unexpected. This bra is soft, supportive, colorful and comfortable.
However, the very low gore is too wide. Predictable. There is .75" of empty wire channel. So, the wire can be moved away to create an "extra low" gore. Even shifting the wires away from the gore, the gore base remains too wide. But, oh how my center tissue loves the "extra low gore"!! It appears the too wide gore may be causing the quadding. Perhaps a simple alteration will remedy this problem, and all my tissue will comfortably fit inside the cup. I'm hoping!
Despite its 5.8" cup width, it feels too narrow. My tissue is suspended above the wire, and consequently, compressed by what would otherwise be a wide-enough cup. Narrowing the gore may remedy this fit issue, too. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />
This is my second Curvy Kate Swim purchase. I'm so impressed by the comfort that I've ordered two tankinis, another balconette, and another plunge. These are seriously comfortable bikinis and I wear them as "everyday" bras. Considering they are designed with "extra life" lycra and I hand wash, these may remain viable for ten years https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> Giggle.

cute story! it almost looks like part of the quadding is due to too wide a gore? idk if pinching it would help any - and i guess in a swimsuit, it would show
I think you may be right, dbmamaz :-) A simple gore alteration may dramatically improve this fit. And, because I bought this to wear as an everyday bra, I will try pinching the gore and hope for the best.
It's funny because I was just thinking about taking in the gore on my Cabaret to pitch the cups forward for more closeness and room at top. :)
i was chicken to try it, but my newest Ewa has lacing for the gore. i actually accidentally untied it and now its unpredictable. But the cups seem deeper when I most the gore in. Too deep. Havent tried it since washing - hoping the lining shrank a little
Giggle. I hope it shrinks and you find the right distance and stability for the gore. That sounds miserable. dbmamaz I narrowed and overlapped the gore of a very comfortable bra. Not kidding, I think two of my breast could fit in the top now. Had it not suddenly become comically large, I would have been angry.
Killer cleavage. This is the veteran of CK, along with Curvy Kate Wild (SG1701) , Curvy Kate Tempt Me (SG4001) and Curvy Kate Flaunt Bra (CK106) .
Pros: I have boobs of a porn star in it. The bra itself is elegant and beautiful, especially with this big ass lace.
Cons: band stretches out pretty quickly.

This bra made me cry for a while.
It squeaks, oh God it squeaks like a door with a broken hinge. At first I thought that the seams are screaming for help since the band is DO DAMN TIGHT, but no. That was the fabric loop in which the metal part of the strap moves; when I breathe or bend over or move in any way it squeaks. Loudly.
Pros: beautiful cleavage, exquisite fabric choice (the tulle/net/embroidery thing), adjustable straps
Cons: SQUEAKING. Band fits very very tight, so I have to use an extension for additional 3 sets of hooks.

Alas, another disappointing fit experience with Curvy Kate! I've wanted to wear their bras for ages but had a rather painful Showgirl bra a few years ago (I think it was a 30DD) and have shied away since. But...but...they're so cute! So I tried again with Starlet in 30F and 30FF.
(Note: I'm not standing off-kilter or anything in my photos; I have scoliosis, which gives me a high hip, protruding/twisted ribcage, and attendant issues. Thanks for understanding!)
Both bras left me with pretty serious orange in a glass syndrome, though it was, strangely enough, more pronounced in the 30F than this, the 30FF. I don't even know where to ... go with that. Obviously both will be sent back, and I've no idea where to go from here!
The straps seem to be a bit wide-set, but it's not too awful for me, but I have a pretty pronounced dip that seems to keep most straps in the right place (and as I've recently begun lifting weights again, this will probably only get 'better').
The fit is nice and firm even though, as always, I prefer a tighter band; sometimes I suspect that due to the spinal deformity, the tissue on my right breast tends to migrate back into the wing unless the band itself is tight. If anyone else has scoliosis of any degree, I'd love to hear your experiences with bra fitting, too!
It's a shame; this is a pretty bra in a molded smooth cup of all things; I really don't like unmolded bras and prefer the shape and modesty they provide. I also have to say that I'm not terribly fond of the cut of this bra—the cups seem large to me and cover too much, if that makes sense. It seems I'm shallow-breasted, though, and perhaps this just is not the cut for me?
So...what do I do? Perhaps try the same cups in a 28 band? Or is this just the wrong bra for me?

valentine556 You are right about hunching over...I spent some of this weekend sewing, and kept having to straighten myself up!
@courtnelius Going to have to use 'labour dervishes' on my doctor during our next conversation just for fun. ;) My ribcage is also all off-kilter.
Sorry, spent the day doing yardwork and my brain's not working well...
@faustineli Thank you for the suggestions on various other bras to try. Deco and I do seem to get along—though I'll confess to fearing my being stuck with only those. Trying not to lose hope!
@valentine556 Thank you for commiserating! I guess when I say the breast seems to migrate in that direction, it seems I am always re-adjusting the right 'girl'. It's really annoying! So far as posture...you are right about the exercises. I used to do them but stopped in order to do other things. As a former singer, posture is big for me too, but I have found myself scrunched over my sewing machine more than once (but at least I'm paying attention). Thanks for the bra suggestions—I have a few Natori "Feathers" and love them, just wish they had 28 bands and a wider range of cup sizes! The last Chantelle I tried was either mislabelled or their cup sizes are really small. Unfortunately our Nordstrom's doesn't carry sub-30 bands or many bras over DD (save the Feathers DDD). I'm seriously considering driving all the way from Ohio to Sophisticated Pair just to try on a wider range of sizes. Isn't that crazy? I'm tempted to fill a bus with bras and drive it around the country so women could try on bras!
@courtnelius Hm, it is interesting that you say the cups can dig into your armpit—it almost sounds like the opposite of my problem on the right side, where I feel like the cup and wire are 'floating'! My shoulders are uneven as a result of my curvature, so the strap lengths are always uneven on me. As a Type A, I find this maddening, but...at least I am comfortable.
Thank you all again for your help, it is really appreciated!
...No problem, I'll send the bill in the mail. ;)
So far, this is the best fit I've found. Slight wrinkling at the bottom of the cups, but freaking close! Slight torpedo shape, but I think I'm going to have to get used to the pointy look, as that seems to be what my breasts fit best. It's also super cute and comfortable so far.

Curvy Kate, you don't know how to bra.
I currently have the 30G and the 30FF in my possession, both NWT. The 30G was just a wee bit too big in the cup, so I listed it and ordered the 30FF.
The 30FF... was also a wee bit too big in the cup.
So, measuring time. I re-measured both bras, just to make sure I wasn't going crazy.
The 30G is 0.5 cm wider but 0.5 cm shallower than the 30FF. And the 30G has a band that is about 3 cm longer than the 30FF when unstretched. (I didn't take stretched measurements.)
In other words, they pretty much have the ... same exact volume, in a different shape, on different length bands.
CURVY KATE, THAT IS NOT HOW SIZES WORK.
I like the appearance and fabric of this bra, but I'm not going to spend hours of my life trying to work the math and trudging back and forth to the post office, abusing my Amazon Prime account, in the hopes of hitting on something approximating 14 cm wide by 26.5 cm deep. It ain't worth it.
(ETA: Sorry, I tried to submit photo proof of the wonky size/scale issues, but Bratabase ate my photos three times, and I gave up.)

I've been wondering if we need to be sending our feedback to the manufacturers rather than just venting here when we see this kind of crazy stuff. Like my bra where the wires go past my arm pit. who has boobs that go past the outside of their arm pits?
I agree, and I did at least post this same info to Amazon, where CK is marginally more likely to see it. I'm not a big CK customer, because they traditionally make wide/shallow bras, and I'm very narrow/projected (slave to the Ewa S cut!), but I applaud this attempt at offering a variety of shapes and want CK to do it RIGHT. I just may write them directly.
I am big fan of ck and so far ck gave best fits on me but I can tell since this year CK's cup design way to different.
Weird! I went to their website to see if they had a new lead designer who might have different ideas about fit, but I couldn't tell. All I can say is, it's one thing to add more variety to bring in new customers. It's another thing entirely to alienate the customers you already have!
SO PRETTY WHY WON'T YOU FIT ME. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Depth is in all the wrong places (I need immediate projection at the base and center of my bras). Gore is a bit too wide and a bit too high. Wire widths are a bit too wide. Feels a little tight in the band.

Lovely bra and I really like the look of it! I would advice to go down a band size and at least one cupsize up. I bought it in 30FF (I am between 30 F/FF) and still it is a little bit to small in the cups. Though I love the look, think Antoinette-cleavage, it isn´t the best bra for me. The cups are little bit too seperated, and is a little uncomfortable. In comparison I also own theThrill Me bra in 30FF, and it suits me way better.
Actually I gave this to one of my friends who were a cupsize smaller than me, because I never used it, but soon I want to try it in a 30G, because I really want it to work!

I´m really happy for my Curvy Cate bras so far! This bra has a very nice color, actually the reason for buying it. I have once tried the black one, but didn´t buy it, because it was a 32E, as I usually use, but in this style to small in the cups and to big in the band. This style is a balconette and therefore, like the “Tease me” bra, you don´t get the cleavage, but more a lift. So like my other Curvy Cate bra, go up a cupsize, and down a bandsize. But amazing color, it´s even prettier in real!”

Probably the most beautiful bra I own. I have found that Curvy Kate seems to run about one cup size small, relative to Freya, for me anyway.
I believe there was a manufacturing error in this bra when I received it. The ribbon on the right cup was too short for the cup, so when I put it on, it pulled taut over my breast, creating a very, very strange shape. I have since altered the bra by cutting the ribbon and extending it, and now the cup fits perfectly. I knocked some points off for quality because of the error. Now that the bra has been altered and fits properly, it is one of my favorites. It gives a lovely round shape. The lace is slightly visible under fitted tees, but it's not too bad.

It's a cute bra, though a bit more sheer than I was expecting. I like the subtle rose gold metal details and I wish it fit me. The band was too tight and I could barely get it on. The cups were somehow too small on one boob and too large on the other. I did appreciate that the wires did not seem too stiff and the gore was low. I have very narrow boobs so it was still a little wide for me, but not uncomfortably.

This is for the Victory Pin up (pinstripe) version. Bought for teen on request, it's too rough/scratchy for them sop will need to figure out how to soften it up to get a better idea how it works out.
I've worn this style several sizes smaller, and felt this shape should work best for strapping an orange to one's chest. Provided a lot of immediate projection and space on bottom for a really short root, but that was it. Can't deal with the closed in side or top at all.

I got this bra in a 30FF because Brastop recommended to get a larger cup. The issue I have with it is, the larger cup means the wires are way too wide, but the bottom of the cup is so shallow I have a good 2cm of empty cup below where my boob actually starts. I also have slight quadding at the center (I’m very center full). The color is a bit orangey and dark for my skin tone, I don’t think this works as a nude for pale skin. The dotted lace is stretchy but it’s set over non stretch mesh, and the lace pattern shows through fitted t-shirts. It’s comfortable enough that I can wear this as an everyday bra while working from home.

Unfortunately now too small for me after I've gone up a cup size to 28GG/30G - but it used to fit like a dream. One of my favourite styles from Curvy Kate - I like to call it my 'I'm not wearing a bra'-bra because it's one of the few bras I can keep on all day without getting irritated by it.

When I first put this on and scoop and swoop, it looks like it fits, with some minor wrinkling at the top of the cup. However, when I start moving around, it doesn't fit anymore. The straps are very wide set and my tail of spence ends up inside the cup when I first put it on but when I move, the metal hardware ends up getting pushed forward so the tail of spence is now outside the bra. This pushes the cup forward and the top of the cup wrinkles even more.
I can fill the bottom of the cup but the wires are slightly too wide. The wires are the right length for me, low enough at the front and they don't come up too high in the armpit. The band is firm and I could do with it being ever so slightly bigger/stretchier. I do like the thick band with 3 hook fastening though.
After this bra not fitting well, I have it in a 32E and that fits much better.
