Very short, projected, center full, close set, even, slightly narrow breasts....
The pattern and embroidery are quirky as are the colors. I dislike banal and this bra is anything but banal. The lower cup is a strong, fine white mesh with printed poppy zebra stripes. The cup edge is scalloped and the fabric has poppy embroidery that reminds me of zebra grazing patterns....or spider webs. Delightfully quirky. The straps are a luminous poppy color, supportive, and .75" wide. The band has 3x3 fasteners and supports the weight of my breasts well. Pale yellow bows adorn the gore and straps.
This bra just didn't feel comfortable; surprising when considering the favorable ...reviews to the contrary. I couldn't determine what was causing my discomfort until the doorbell rang--CK Dreamcatcher arrived. 30FF Dreamcatcher was very enlightening because it has both excellent immediate and center projection. The immediate projection in Madagascar is good, but the center projection is less than what I require for complete comfort. It also helped me see Portia has less center projection than Madagascar which may explain why I created a narrow riser for the Portia gore. Madagascar may not be the best choice for center full breasts, but it is an excellent choice for narrow, projected, short breasts.
I may feel more comfortable in a 30G Madagascar, but only the 30FF was available at the time I ordered. And, considering the dimensions, there is a strong possibility more depth and width may create more fit issues. To date, I prefer Ellace and Florence in 30G. Read more 146 more words
This is a very strange bra. The outer layer is seamed like a balconette but the inner layer is a 3-piece half cup. I'm not sure what the purpose of doing that was. It spreads out and flattens my breasts against my chest wall and also sits very low. It does feel very comfortable, but the shape is very bad. This is definitely an attempt at a bra to give cakes-on-a-plate cleavage but it doesn't give me much. This is probably the least projected my boobs have ever looked in a seamed bra. Perhaps if you want a sexy minimizer this one is for you.
I tried this bra because it was a sister to Bardot. However, I like Bardot better. I was excited for the stretch lace, but the material in the whole cup seems pretty stretchy, and doesn't provide a lot of lift. For stretch lace, it is also still pretty closed off and cut in at the top even more than Bardot does for me, but I think it had something to do with the "saggy" kind of shape I was getting. The stretch lace has a piece of elastic at the top that can cut in, unlike the Panache Envy, which I think kind of defeats some of the purpose of stretch lace. I was really excited for this bra, but it will be returned.
This bra is a stunner. I thought it looked pretty on it's own, but when worn, WOW.
I've been wanting to try this one for a while due to my short roots, and I finally got my hands on one! It does not disappoint! The top is very closed off, almost too much for my very short roots, so if you're even or FOT this won't work for you. I do get a bit of in-cup quadboob, I think partially due to the fact that I am between cup sizes and partially due to my tissue being softer after breastfeeding. If I put in my DIMR nipple covers, then ...it pretty much goes away. I love the fact that the wires are softer than the Cleo Lucy, which was my previous bra that fit my shape best. I love that the gore and wings are shorter than other balconettes that I've tried. Also, as much as I love Cleos, I HIGHLYprefer the 3 hook closure to the 2 hooks that Cleo uses (I still don't understand that?). I'd like to try the CK Ellace next maybe, as it is supposed to be like the Bardot, but with stretch lace on top! Read more 92 more words
Since I am sick and at home it is a perfect time to catch up on all reviews I missed ;p
My first soft CK bra that does not wrinkle o top of the cup. Pros: very nice and elegant colorway, pretty gore pendant, nicely working band that does not stretch out immediately, cups are true to size and snug, but no quad Cons: gives a very low, natural shape, which can be a problem to someone who likes "half orange glued on chest" effect.
The pixie colorway seems to have a bit more center projection than poppy. However, this difference may be largely attributed to manufacturing variation.
Short, projected, slightly narrow, close set, center full, even breasts....
I adore the supportive fabric of Gia. However, despite my affection for 30F Gia, 30FF Gia digs into my ribs under the center of each breast. I do not yet understand why this doesn't happen in 30F Gia. Perhaps the band is pulled more tightly in the Black 30FF than the white 30F. With my flared ribcage, a small change in dimension may create a significant change in comfort.
The cup volume is perfect. The band and straps supportive. And, Curvy Kate's standard 2mm gore is still too wide. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> Nevertheless, Gia is impressive and receives enthusiast recommendations from me for its projection and narrow wires.
Projected, slightly narrow, even, close set, center-full breasts....
I still adore the Dreamcatcher, but this model had a wider gore than the 30FF Black model I received a few days ago. I need the most narrow gore I can find. Here is a link to the 30FF Black review: http://www.bratabase.com/bra/di8lj/
Very short, projected, center full, even, slightly narrow, close set breasts....
Adorable, intense red with tiny white dots. The cups have an internal, soft, power mesh. The body is a single layer of lycra. The band is supportive and feels TTS, although measuring its stretched condition was nearly impossible. The 2mm polka dots pattern, combined with gentle shirring, camouflages effectively.
Oi! This tankini combined with my breasts demonstrates how close-set, center full breasts are not always compatible with plunge bras. Ugh. From a volume perspective, 30FF is usually a good fit in Curvy Kate. But, because my breasts are center-full and close-set, the cups in this tankini do not ...allow a place for my breasts inside the cup. I've heard other users mention "falling to the middle." I don't fall to the middle: my breasts exist in the middle and resist all efforts to move them outside the middle. If the plunge wires sat .5" closer, I would happily wear this. But, the band does not have 1" extra to share for this alteration.
In the past, I have worn Lands' End tankinis that billow at the waist and make me look larger. La Blanca tankinis keep me on high alert--feeling like the girls will escape. And, one piece swimsuits almost never fit comfortably because of the disparate size beween my chest, waist, and hip--very curvy. Plus, restroom breaks in a wet one piece result in some frustration. I'm motivated to find a swimsuit that I can enjoy and stop worrying about escapes. The plunge, unless wires are moved and covered with bow or button, isn't working for me. It appears, however, a Curvy Kate balconette may fit perfectly.
Curvy Kate fits curvy figures! My waist is 26" here and it is hugged by lycra. This is the most curve hugging tankini I have ever worn. And, the tankini is long enough, that my stomach remains covered. In the past, I've experienced tankinis and other knits ridding up around my stomach because they are not cut for wider hips. This tankini happily hugs my hips, too. Overall, Curvy Kate covers curves beautifully! Hot bra! My husband LOVES this one and wants me to get another in a smaller size! Fits similarly to a Masquerade Rhea, but with a thicker band. I'd say it's taller overall. Great for tall roots or full on top breasts because it leaves room for spillage. Nice, firm band and flexible molded 2-part cups.
Very soft and smooth fabric. Model on website made top band look gold-ish, but it's actually silver and shows up as such on my skin tone. I think I can't tell if I needed a cup size down to 30F or if I'm just a little too full on top for this style (I'm consistently average fullness on top and bottom). Still, gives a decent shape so long as I keep good posture. I need to do more fiddling with the strap length I think.
I purchased Daily Dream in 28G, 30FF, and 30G. This bra is supportive, provides admirable lift, and nipple shielding. This appears to use both molded foam pieces and cut and sew construction which results in more immediate projection than I anticipated. Strangely, the 30FF caused more quad boob than the 28G. And, the 30G was, predictably, too tall for my short roots. This is a great choice for short-rooted and/or shallow upper tissue breasts. The gore was too wide for my close set breasts. And, although the bra has good projection, it is not enough to prevent wires from pressing painfully into my ribs. Sigh.
I was so in love with this bra when I saw it on Brastop... unfortunately the metallic part is silver, not gold as the stock pic suggests (I think that is due to the fact that the skin tone of the model is rather warm) and it wrinkles on me so badly... I think I need it at least one cup smaller.
