I think I am almost ready to throw in the towel when it comes to Curvy Kate's Showgirls line. First, my boobs are too wide apart and the cups are too shallow in the Tempt Me, then my nipples practically fall out of the Elegance, and now… this.
The Tease Me [showgirl Collection] itself is quite lovely but not my usual style, what with the bows and ribbon and things. The fabric is soft yet supportive. I was worried that the lace and stuff would be scratchy. I'm not sure what clothing I would normally wear this bra under, ...definitely nothing tight at the top, because the ribbons make for lumps under fabric. I wore it all day under a loose fitting shirt.
The bra itself is mostly comfortable. I say "mostly" because while the underwires themselves don't dig in to my armpits, they pretty much end right at the armpits, but then there's these twee bows right at the end of the underwires and guess where THEY go. So if I decide to keep the Tease Me, those things will be snipped right off. The band is a little on the stretchy side. The gore comes dangerously close to being higher than I like. The wires do encircle the shape of my whole breast, though. If my torso was any shorter, the Tease Me would not work at all. I feel like it, just like the others I've tried from the Showgirls line, is made for someone with a longer torso. But, overall comfort is good. I took a nap in it, and I didn't want to rip it off by the end of the day.
The Tease Me likes to take my boobs and lift them upwards. It doesn't push them towards the center, if anything, they are still set wide, just shoved upwards in an almost impressive display: "Here they are, my boobs". Like, I could take a brush in Photoshop and paint a perfect circle around each boob in my photo of the front view. But from the side? This is where it looks like to me that the bra is actually also pushing my breasts inward, causing the profile to be a bit... off. So I'm thinking the Tease Me is a tad too shallow and wide for me.
Basically, the Tease Me turns my rack into a rectangle with two half circles on top. Imagine a "B" that was been turned 90º counter-clockwise and ta-da, those are my boobs.
Maybe I will be a glutton for punishment and continue my hunt for the Thrill Me [showgirl Collection] -- maybe it's a good thing I can't find it in my size lol. Read more 348 more words
This bra could possibly be my most favourite of all the Curvy Kate bras I own. I absolutely love it and will be ordering it in other colours as well. When I first saw it on brastop.com I was unsure about it because it did not look very attractive and the colour seemed dull, but I bought it anyway because it was on a super sale price. I'm glad I did.
First of all, the colour is not like the picture on the web site at all. It's far more deep and rich. The details on the bra are stunning and the pattern is just lovely. It's ...a very elegant and functional bra. It's also very comfortable and very supportive. I love the fact that CK have three hooks for the G cups. The angel fits true to size and I find that the thick straps help with the support. One thing I should mention is that it does come high under the arms but the wire does not dig in. I am a petite frame and often have issues with bras that are not made for shorter women but the Angel fits perfectly and I did not experience any wire digging at all. Despite the attention to detail and all the embroidery on the bra, the seams are not visible under shirts and there is no cutting into the breast tissue on top. The cups lay flat against my skin and look fabulous. One thing to note is that if you are full on top then the ribbon detailing on the top of the cup might feel tighter or might dig in to the breast tissue. Due to this I'd say that the Angel is more suitable for women with soft or bottom heavy breasts.
I highly recommend this bra. I would even buy it at full price if it wasn't on sale. Read more 206 more words
Prior to discovering the Thrill Me line of bras I never owned any "pretty" bras. I had white, black and beige, all ill fitting, all resembling something my great grandmother would wear. I was so happy when I found these bras that I bought them in different colours when they went on sale. The Thrill Me is a great bedroom bra. It won't give the same sturdy support from an everyday bra but it makes up for it by offering a stunning view of the breasts as if they are served on a platter - think possibly the Marie Antoinette neckline.
As for fit, in my case, I think ...the Thrill Me fit in my usual size of 30G. I am not full on top and have soft bottom heavy breasts, which is why my usual size fit so well. However, if you are full on top, then I would recommend going up in cup size or there might be some spilling. The band is quite stretchy, so if you intend to use this bra for everyday wear then you might want to go down a band size. In my case, I knew I'd be wearing it in a more comfortable setting so I did not require it to be super tight. Hence, I was fine with a stretchy 30 band. It's an extremely comfortable bra. The material feels soft and luxurious and the ruffles take it up a notch. The straps are fully adjustable and quite stretchy which is what makes them super comfy.
Thrill Me comes in a variety of stunning colours. If I made a 6 figure income I would be buying every colour it came in, but I don't make that much so I snatch them up when they're on for a bargain. I've experienced wearing this bra with different outfits. It's kind of naughty to know you're wearing it under clothes while you're at work! But it will show under some clothes. It's not suitable under t-shirts and thin blouses, but it does not show under sweaters or blazers. All in all, I'd say I love this bra and would definitely recommend it if nothing other than to spice up your lingerie drawer.
Oh and girls, there's no sense in buying the bra if you're not going to buy the matching underwear. Really, it's the set that makes the whole thing work together. This set will make you feel beautiful especially on days when you don't feel it much. Read more 303 more words
Grape/black: So far, this seems like a really comfortable everyday bra - I can see why everyone raves about the Emily. It's so soft and the shape is very natural. At the same time, it looks really lovely (especially with the matching shorts).
Update: Due to my measurements changing, my breasts fall towards the middle giving me quadboob while leaving empty space at the top of the cup. I determined part of the reason is that the band was too big for me. I have now sewn the central gore together which has fixed the problems by orienting the cups differently and making the band tighter. Not sure if it retains the same level of comfort as before.
This is the Thrill me in black/white. I ordered it, because the 30GG was too big and the other 30G listed here in cobalt fits perfectly. But this colour seems to be bigger than the cobalt (I must say, I really hate that, when a colour is bigger or smaller than the other, but it's very often like that), so I also will send it back, and order a cobalt in 28GG or something like that. The band is the same as in 30GG and smaller than the cobalt.
Overall, this is a good bra. The material is maybe not quite as nice as on Freya or Fantasie bras, but it also didn't cost as much. Underwires run narrow (great for me). Be aware that the band is *very* stretchy--I have this fastened on the 2nd set of hooks, and could maybe have gotten away with a 28.
Suuuuuuuper Cute!!! the fabric takes getting used to (its more like a tulle than a mesh) but when you do it feels fine. for my particular bewbs i believe this bra is a little less projected than i would like but it doesn't make it unwearable. (the way the cups feel on my skin make me feel like a shallow breast might even fare better?) the wires are a teeny tiny tad bit shorter than i like (rare) but i do not mind at all. anyway highly recommend this bra, its very cute!

Frustration/Impulse purchase right after receiving 28G Tango, and the next day Tango was 2 sizes too small. Was watching this one, and kind of interested in the colourway but suddenly finding nothing fit at all, sealed the deal.
Like Tango ll, the top is too closed off and pushes into my tall roots, and cup rides down into my side heavy breasts that were just ...getting by with the little bit of space this style affords. Unlike the extremely round Tango plunge, these cups are wide & super shallow on the side. However there tons of nice depth at the wire and lower cup volume here, yet gore stabs for no apparent reason? At least it's not mad at my functionally FOB short breasts, I'll take it.
Net is rough, unsure how breathable it is in this high humidity. The lace on top has sleek embroidery with smooth threads; it does not stretch at all but has a barely stretchy elastic inside upper band. Upper band is supper small compared to the amount of upper or apex volume I have, it kind of pulls the cups into a bad position so will be removing/adjusting this silly thing STAT. The Latte colour feels much more true to size in the band than the 30G - Curvy Kate » Daily Plunge. Unfortunately the microfibre on this one seems to wrinkle a lot more, hence the lower marks for appearance as it isn't actually wearable under tighter fitting clothes, while the actual cup fit/shape feels like for like with the black.
Pleasantly surprised by this one! In the photos you can see a little bit of in-cup quadding along that horizontal seam, which is due to hormonal swelling. When I'm not due on my period, this disappears. This seems to fit similarly to Curvy Kate Eye Spy Balcony Bra (011100) in terms of the lower coverage balcony cut, and lower underarm (which as a petite 5'3" I am very happy about!), and I particularly like the cross over centre front which makes it so comfortable for sitting down all day in. The bottom cups are a laminated fabric, with a standard mesh top cup. I wish there were a tad more immediate projection at the centre front, but it isn't a deal breaker for me. I can see this becoming a cheap and cheerful regular in my rotation https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Gives a very natural, relaxed shape. The cups are a 3-part stretch mesh overlaid with a soft microfibre, which has a tendency to wrinkle but the black seems to be not so bad compared to the Latte colour. Similar in fit to the Curvy Kate Lifestyle Plunge Bra (CK5711) plunge bra, but more forgiving due to the stretchiness of the fabrics. I find the band on the black colour feels a bit firmer than the Latte.
So nice to see a longline from Curvy Kate again! Part of the Girls Night collection it has a slightly limited size range (30-38 DD-HH) compared to their usual offering. Feels really well constructed, the longline band is completely made of mesh with no boning so it's super comfortable even when sitting, and I find it doesn't flip or roll. The cups are lined with a foam that's about 1/8th inch thick - so not a push-up style padding but not a thin lining either, I'd compare it to their Daily Dream padded balcony and it has a similar shape too (3-part cut and sew cups, with a ...slightly lower coverage fit). Overbust straps are elasticated with a cute picot trim, and this trim is mirrored on the band too. Fully adjustable shoulder straps have a brushed back for non-slip fit and comfort. I *could* size up to a 30GG for a little more coverage at the underarm but I like the lower scoop I get in the 30G as I'm on the shorter side and find lots of bras dig in at my armpit in G+ cups.
**EDIT 25/10/21 - looks like this is actually available in 30-40 D-J cups, not the more limited size range I originally put down. Read more 102 more words
CAN you compare this bra with Luxe bra? Is it smaller than the other CK cups? Or is this shallow friendly?
FoxTaylor the cup shape is very different to Luxe so it isn't easy to draw a comparison - this is a standard 3 part balcony with a vertical and horizontal seam while Luxe has only vertical seams. As per usual CK styles with lining, the foam makes it run a little on the snug side in the cup but unless you're super full/firm I wouldn't recommend sizing up a cup. FWIW, I can't wear this style when I'm on my period and have hormonal swelling because I spill over the top, which happens to me in the Daily Dream padded balcony too. Hope that helps!
Oh okay, then do you think this bra similar with Daily Dream?
LOVE this. I have the original black one but the tan colourway is just stunning and a perfect autumnal wardrobe addition. The fit is spot on for me, it does require a bit of a wiggle to get it over my hips, but once on it fits like a glove. I could size down in the back to a 28GG (my usual size) based on the fit of the actual bra part if it were made in that size, but I think this might make it too snug in the body - so with that in mind it may be worth considering sister sizing for a more forgiving fit in the body, depending how big your waist:hip ratio is. There are 3x3 hook and eyes at the gusset to adjust the length too which is a great feature.
I will admit that I'm not keen on the aesthetic of this style, but the fit and support is great. It's a fuller coverage plunge, a bit Elomi Matilda-esque, with 4-part cups. The shape it gives is separated and contained within each cup with a decent amount of projection. It is made of rigid, non-stretch laminated mesh with top cup embroidery; the fit can feel quite neat, especially along the neckline if your breast tissue is fuller and firmer like mine. The brand has a fit tip on their site to suggest using the j-hook if you experience this digging in along the neckline, and I agree it ...definitely helps improve the fit. It isn't something I'd generally buy based on the look of it, and the fact it's fuller coverage which I'm not a fan of on myself, but I feel like it's a great addition to Curvy Kate's range and may become one of those bras I keep in my rotation for practicality. I also really like the cross-over centre front; I sit at a desk most of my day and this little feature makes it pretty much a bandless bra so is really comfy on my upper stomach! First bra close to fitting, though there are a few fit issues for me. The straps are a bit too wide, which seems to be difficult to avoid. Wires don’t come up too high in the sides, but the apex comes up too high and cuts into my armpit with movement. There’s some slight wrinkling in the top of the cups, consistently there on my smaller side, but comes and goes throughout the month on my larger breast; found out that my FoT breasts are “functionally” FoB because I have short roots. The gore is slightly too wide for me and pushes into one breast.
Otherwise, the fit seems good- shape is more of the issue for me. The sheer cups were a good bra to use for size/fit reference since it made it easier to see how everything is lining up.
This bra fits the same as the Lifestyle Plunges, which is to say....not at all for me! I'm not really a fan of the weird strappy things, either. I like the colors together, though.
Very nice sheer bra. Too bad I am between sizes. The 30FF is too small, and the 30G rubs under my arms (and wrinkles on top). This would definitely be a keeper if I could get a better fit. FWIW: center full, tall and wide roots, close-set, FOB.
Bra is too small in the cup and separates my boobs alittle too much. Also used to padded bras so the sheerness was not great since I try to be conservative, but don't have any bras that currently fit.
CAN you compare this bra with Luxe bra? Is it smaller than the other CK cups? Or is this shallow friendly?
