I think this bra is just not right for my shape, the top of the cups gape a little on me so prob better for someone with spherical boobs. Also it felt very flimsy on and the cups were to narrow even though I'd gone up a cup than what I normally get. the wires dug into my cleavage and it didn't give a nice lifted/rounded shape or support - the seams show through under clothes giving a weird pointy shape.
Very wide wires, and fairly shallow. The fabric in front is thin, almost mesh. If you have any projection, the gore will float; this bra wold be pretty great for someone without projection and with wide roots. It would also probably work for anyone who is about middling fullness on top and middle-to-full on bottom, but maybe not as much for empty on either top or bottom, or really full on top. The top of the cups aren't elastic, but if you can't quite fill them the lightweight fabric means it shouldn't be noticeable.
I think this bra fits fairly well. The cups are narrow enough, the gore tacks, and I get almost enough projection (but not quite enough on the larger left side, where I get some squashing to the side). This seems a bit stretchy for a 32 band, and I needed to start out on the second hole. It looks great from the front, and it gives good support and fairly good lift. Still, I find the silhouette it generates a bit odd and droopy. This is exacerbated as the hours go by, and I end up with an upside down 7 by the end of the day (The ...pictures I've submitted so far don't really show that.). I think the shape has something to do with the material Curvy Kate uses, as well as the fact that the bottom panel isn't quite large enough to keep lifting the same way throughout the day. I've been wearing the bra, but only with baggier clothes because I'm a bit self-conscious about the shape.
I'm full on bottom, but I'm not sure this is a specifically full on bottom bra since I can tell the lace is a little bit looser than I'd prefer on top. It's not bad, and it doesn't leave me unsupported. It's just not perfect. Also, I think the lacy part is a little too big -- I'd prefer a bigger bottom panel that covers my nipples and smaller upper panels. Still, it's one of the better fits I've found.
I do have one fit problem that I haven't faced before, perhaps because I've been wearing bras too low. It's not quite that the underwire pokes, but I do get fabric from the wings that digs a bit into my armpits. I think maybe the wings are a little higher than I'd prefer. Read more 196 more words
~~~~~~~~ Quickie initial impression: Band fits. Wires are okay, but a smidge wide. Cups are a little too deep. Probably can do a 32GG or 32G. Which kinda shocks me.
~~~~~~~~ Update: Well, I finally took pics so I can list this. I don't know if I've changed shape that much or if this last run of weight loss was only fat, but I'm a ton smaller than I was when I first put in the quickie impression above 3 months ago.
Very comfortable and very pretty, though the flower applique shows through thinner fabric. Decent projection, but fairly wide wires that tend to poke under the arms. Gives a youthful, rounded shape.
I've been admiring this one from afar for a while and encountered one listed on here, in a sister size from one of my recommendations. I thought it would be too small, but I took a leap of faith. It turned out to indeed be too small. It's cute though. Someday, I plan to buy one of these in a 34 JJ or so. Probably in one of the black base colour ways with purple or red.
Curvy Kate has significantly changed the Tease Me, which used to run (in my opinion) two cup sizes small. The cups now seem true-to-size to me, but the band is very loose. I usually wear a 34 or 36 band, the 34s often with an extender, but I am able to wear the 32 comfortably without an extender.
The gore is quite wide for me so I will have to take it in. I get a bit of gaping at the top of the cup near the straps which I think will go away with this alteration.
I bought this bra because I gained weight so I had to buy larger cups, I spilled very much on top of all my bras. It was a good deal because it was in sale and quite cheap, but it didn't fit : the cups are a little too small (32H) and I still have a quadboob effect while wearing it. The center gore doesn't lay flat all the way against my sternum and I could do with a tighter band, I can fasten the bra comfortably on the 2nd hooks...
I don't feel supported enough at the top of the cups (where there is sheer fabric, ribbons and elastic ...band). I prefer bras that gives a round shape at the top of the cups, but this one gives me more the impression that my boobs are scooped inside the cups and offered to the view instead of being comfortably held against my chest. This meaning it is a true balcony bra and it would be useful with low front neckline tops.
I don't like the combination of the bright pink-fuschia bra with the dark blue ribbons much (I couldn't choose the color) nor the fabric (feels a little too synthetic for my taste) but there is pretty embroided details on the cups and the ribbons and bows are a nice touch.
This bra gives me an overall round enough shape, not pointy so it's a plus. Nothing particular about the straps, it stays in place. I really appreciate the 3-hooks rows. The other thing I really like is that there is not extra fabric under the wires. When there is extra fabric it always ends up rolled under the wires and it's not comfortable.
I would say the level of support is medium with this bra.
I'm sending this one back and ordering another Curvy Kate bra in 32HH in cotton-like fabric this time. Read more 198 more words
This bra is too large for me, it gives me a very pointy shape- partly because I already have pointy boobs. The band is also very which is nice, as curvy kate appears to have fixed their band sizing inconsistencies.
A couple of months ago, I bought this bra in a 32HH. It felt too big then, so back it went.
And maybe that was right at the time, but this 32H is now definitely way too small in the cup. It's too narrow and cuts in on the sides. Additionally, the bottom of the cup is worlds too shallow. Not only does the projection in my breasts push the bra farther down my torso, but it does so *so much* that the underwires cut into my belly in front, which is painful.
Additionally, the band runs large and stretches lots, enough that I'd definitely consider sizing down to a 30.
Band is great but feels like a 34. Cup not bad but not an H in my opinion - I could use a J. However, I LOVE it and will wear it anyway. Who cares about a little quadraboob in a bra that looks lumpy under most clothing anyway? I have tried this in several colorways in 34ff and g, and didn't find the bands noticeably larger (but I do need to measure) so I gambled on the 32h. I love the 3 hooks, gorgeous materials, and fun matching panty options. Cups are extremely shallow at the bottom and very open on top (which is how I can get ...away with it, being a fuller on top person) The wires are a bit wide, but not too tall. Overall, very comfy. Straps are wide, but I have broad shoulders, so that is rarely an issue. The one issue I really have with quality is the strap, though, as they fold over during wear. Ruffles are over the top and utterly impractical but soooo cute. To make it more functional, it is possible to remove them (according to one of my favorite bloggers whose name currently escapes me), but I am sticking with them. I might try removal if I had a backup bra. Bottom line: every woman should have one, as long as she has some upper fullness. Pros: Too pretty to wear a shirt with https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Once I've swooped/scooped in, ba-bam the girls are uh-mazing. It's very comfortable, love the 3 hook closure for smoothing and support.
Cons: Too decorative, details will show under just about any shirt, will have to wear under many layers. The band is a bit too stretched out and I have to start on at least the middle hook.. this could be because it's used? The gore is sooo close to being perfectly tacked, but the cups are just a tad shallow.. yet somehow.. The 32H is a litttttttle big in the cups but I think a 32GG would have been too small, because it is a tad shallow.
Love the "cake on the plate" effect! A 32HH would have probably been better as I can get a slight quadboob when I lean over. I would have never guessed, but it's also one of my comfiest bras.
This is a really beautiful bra. It's a sturdy, shiny satin and the mesh on top has lovely gold embroidery and open cutwork. It looks just amazing and is very flattering on top of the breast.
I think this bra runs true to size in the band. I'm a large 32/small 34 and the 32 was comfortable and fit, but distorted the wires when fastened. With an extender it was much better and still wearable, and the wires stayed in the right place then.
Unfortunately the cup is just not the right shape for me. It's too wide (surprising, as I like wide wires!) and waaaaay too shallow. The apex ...is totally in the wrong place for my relatively balanced boobs. I have a ton of projection at the bottom and center, and a fair amount of tissue on top, as well as a high root. The wins are too long for me, and get all up under my arms... and in turn they get pushed down which exacerbates the problem of the bra being too shallow at the bottom of the cup for me. I end up being able to pinch a good inch of fabric after just a few minutes at the bottom and sides of the bra, while the top starts to press into the tissue and gives me the inverted seven look.
It also goes all east-west on me because the apex just isn't right for me. It's too far out to the sides... for all that I have a wide root I'm pretty front and center.
I'm very sad this bra doesn't work, because I really love it, but it's just not a match. Read more 169 more words
Thanks for this review as I'm looking for a CK shallow and wide. :)
